My emotions have been on a constant rollercoaster—tension, yearning, love, heartbreak. I am completely obsessed and utterly invested in these characters.
"Like it or not, she wants me this way. She likes me this way. Angry, unpredictable, vicious. I no longer have the patience for self-control. If she wants me to be her villain, fine. I can be the fucking villain."
"Do you love me?" I question, finally letting the emotion breach my voice. "For as long as I draw breath" he whispers, pressing his lips to the side of my head. "And well after my heart has stopped beating."
My mind is actually fried like I was staring at the wall when I finished this book but not in a quote wow this book changed my life way” more of a “I ruined my life “way. The plot was all over the place the geography of the fighting in the romance scenes, made no sense. The tropes of the memory loss, “control me end “, and double crosses were all overused and the way consent not being asked for was simply just because “he knew what I wanted“ left a bad taste in my mouth, her kissing her enemy in front of her dead boyfriend and mom‘s earns was kind of wild and I didn’t mind the romance until things got way too complicated as always apparently. The spelling and grammar mistake mistakes killed me and actually confuse me when pronouns would get mixed up the scenes that were retold from book one with new context felt like a way to get the page number higher and I know everything I don’t need another angle or every other detail characters and themes from book one would make appearances and would go over my head since the idea hadn’t come up in two books. Is forest pregnant? The prophet kept referring to fetus and Xavier touched her belly and there was kind of a crib photo on the last page of the book so I’m gonna crash out. I’m gonna read the last one just because I hate myself and only have one to go, so why not…
Truthfully in utter shock. Katerina st Clair never fails to have my brain in utter confusion. The multiple pov allowed me to becoming deeply invested with more than just the main character, feeling all their losses and betrayal.
If you’re debating reading this series, just do it. Read it, please so I don’t have to grovel alone!
I DONT BELIEVE HERRRR. Come one after everything you can’t just betray him?!?!? I know she’s doing this for a reason she has to. I truly do hope so or else my heart is breaking. I absolutely loved this book, the story between Xavier and Forest is truly beautiful. Xavier truly shows dedication and love. HE WAITED YEARS FOR HER. Let himself be tortured in front of him. Xavier truly deserves the world. I hope honestly this all comes together for a happy ending for Forest and Xavier. I truly believe she is doing what she’s doing for a reason of saving everyone she loves.
On the other hand I do love the character development of everyone else , the multiple pov brings a wider perspective For everyone else while reading. I love getting to learn more about Mason as well. I am excited to see his story!
There are so many possibilities on how this will turn out for the main series. Katerina you have truly done amazing in this series so far. I am beyond excited to see the rest unfold. I need book four now !!

UM. I’m PISSED. Wait this book is amazing, no surprise but the ending??? Why. Like actually why. I swear to god there better be another motive with a forest or I’m not finishing this series lol.
This series has my heart and soul even though I threw the last book across my room. I need the fourth one—I absolutely love this world and everything Katerina has created.
This. Book. Is. Everything. This whole series has been everything. If you want dystopian, enemies to lovers, slow burn, tension, love triangle, strong FMC, twists, turns, skip jump and a hop away, soul crushing storyline… read The Order. That’s all I’m gonna say.
Jesus, this book is one hell of an emotional minefield, and I loved every second of it. If you thought the last installment was a damn rollercoaster, buckle up ->this one’s a full-on chasm of wicked sins that slaps you with heartbreak and outrage in equal measure.
First off, my frustrations are at an all-time high. Xavier’s still out there tugging at my heartstrings with those memory fragments that make his past so damn tragic and yet, somehow, he’s still managing to be irresistibly captivating. I’m in love with his pain and his redemption journey, even if it feels like every sweet moment is just a prelude to another gut-wrenching twist.
And then there’s Forest. Oh, Forest. My heart aches watching her. I mean, can you believe the sheer audacity? I want to scream at her for all the hurt she’s causing, yet I can’t help but hope it’s just a facade, a desperate move to set the stage for something bigger...
The emotional stakes here are off the charts. Every secret, every betrayal, every whispered memory feels like a dagger to the heart, yet it’s exactly what makes this story so damn addictive. I’m torn between rage and reluctant admiration for these characters. It’s like Katerina St Clair is hell-bent on torturing us in the most delicious way possible, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
In short, Chasm of Wicked Sins is a masterpiece of chaotic, twisted passion. It’s messy, it’s raw, and it’s f*cking brilliant. If you’re ready to ride the wave of betrayal, redemption, and the ever-confusing love-hate dance between Forest and Xavier, dive in. Just keep your tissues and your rage room handy, because you’re gonna need both.💔
Told myself I wouldn’t do it because this is not my taste of dark. I feel like this series has so many plot holes and when they came up during editing the solution was “chip” I want to address something… why are people getting pointed out by their hair color or gender rather than name when talking about multiple people? Like I did cry at the little bird story but everything else was like mmmm okay…. Magical lake that happens to be where they lived? And they assumed that was a great location? Also how was it a good plan to begin with to hide your own memories? This was like entertaining but it was also very dumb. And I hateeeee a sad ending like forgive me but I couldn’t care less about some child names Rowan who is gonna be the main character. Also forest is either super powerful or not enough SHE CANT BE BOTH!! Also Xavier turned into like a person to be protected all of the sudden specially after he is free from his gross blood deal thanks to the magic water… I can’t I’m sorry this…. Ugh
I was so incredibly excited for this book, and it did not disappoint! Following Forest, Xavier, and the rest of the gang after the events of the second book. It really has so many unexpected twists that answer many questions but have left me with even more.
I really enjoyed the scene with Mason and Forest with the wildflowers. It felt like a natural friendship, and you can see how it has evolved over the months. The way the dynamics and relationships between everyone change and shift really showcase the trauma and betrayal they have all been through.
The spice was exquisite and really well written. The tension that was built up through the other books was at an all-time high until they finally snapped.
The ending was an absolute masterpiece, I loved it, although I'm not sure how I can recover. I have many questions and theories, and I did not expect the ending whatsoever.
Overall, this was a brilliant instalment in the series, and I desperately need the fourth book!
OMG… the plot twists in the third book of this series were on another level… like wtf!!! I’m just gonna leave it at saying that you’ll cry happy tears, only to end up staring into the distance in absolute shock and disbelief at what happens in the end…
Ughhh Xavier… the man that he is… he literally made it into my top 3 MMCs. The things this man had to endure… he deserves an early retirement from everything. I really hope he and Forest get a happy ending, but I just know I’m about to experience the heartbreak of my life reading the last book in this prequel. I’m already crying just thinking about all the possible sad outcomes. Because what do you mean this is the origin story of the villain in the main series??? Like nooo, they’re all my precious babies… they deserve some happiness 😭
Okay guys, I’m on my way to read book 4… wish me luck… I already know it’s going to be traumatic 🥲
Katerina gave me the opportunity to get an early copy of this book with absolutely no expectations for reviews. With that being said, just bc she sent me a book I swear I’m not biased. Her work is truly amazing and there is absolutely no other book series that has had me so devoted and emotionally invested since the first page I read. THIS is how you write a third installment. It answered so many questions I had, even dating back to the first book. It answered questions I didn’t even know I had. And it gave me about 500 more by the end. The emotional turmoil I’ve felt throughout. She’s literally the best at making you feel everything the characters are feeling. My love for this series is unmatched. And I’ll forever be a Katerina St Clair fan. She could write her name on a piece of paper atp and I’d buy it and read it🤣🫶🏼
As book three in The Order series prequels, Chasm of Wicked sins is intoxicating, breath taking and gut wrenching!
Just when you think you know where the story is heading, the floor will be ripped out from under you. The gut wrenching betrayals and plot twists will have you questioning everything you thought you knew about Forest Blackburn and the world of The Order.
Prepare for sleepless nights. You will not be able to put this book down until it’s finished, and the ending will have your head spinning so much that sleep will be the last thing on your mind.
Just when you think this series can’t get any better, Katerina St. Clair has outdone herself AGAIN! I would give this series more than 5 stars if possible!!
unfortunately i was approached by a slump. but i am here, and this was the book that made me fall in love with reading again.
this book was utterly UNBELIEVABLE. Every chapter was pure suspense and always filled with some adorable scenes.
my journey while reading this was quite simple: laugh, cry, kick my feet, sob, cry, laugh, sob, stress, sob, stress. (a cycle.)
this book is a masterpiece, utterly beautifully and captivatingly written. i thought i would never fall in love with reading, but this book did it for me. it will not disappoint.
thank you so much kat for the gift of being one of ur arc readers (although i definitely did not read it before the publishing date) i love you and am so proud of you.
I was given the honor of reading this book early. Let me just say, this author and her writing style is such a breath of fresh air! The world is not ready for this book!! So many twist and turns! Some tears shed and lots of squealing/feet kicking from the banter of our character’s! When I say the last few pages will have your heart rate SKYROCKETING! I live for Forest and her amazing way to make people respect her and fear her! She can do no wrong in my eyes! You won’t be disappointed reading this series! And you will be messaging the author begging her to release the next book! I absolutely CAN NOT wait for book four. Even though it’s probably going to destroy me 👀
This girl did it AGAIN! Every single one of these books has been so addicting, I’ve ate them up. The author has built a world that is so unique and mysterious that you never know what’s coming next. This series has taken over my entire mind. I haven’t loved a dystopian book since I was younger and had an obsession with Divergent. She had made me fall back in love with the genre in such a wonderful series. I would re read these books over and over again. She also includes some really cool art throughout the book and on her social media which is fun to look at! I genuinely don’t know how I’m going to wait for the next book.
This whole series is incredible! I’ve read books 1-3 and am super excited for book 4! The best bit? THESE ARE ONLY PREQUELS. Yes - there are some errors but honestly, this doesn’t take away anything from the book at all. The plot drives the whole story to the point you are in a whole new world from chapter 1. There is also spice which brings a whole new aspect to this kind of story. Personally I feel like if divergent or hunger games had spice I would have loved it more than I already did.
I have no doubt this series will be picked up by a publisher - it truly is top tier and the story telling speaks for itself.
This is the first series for this author, and I think she is doing amazing. It deserves all the hype! I recommend this series every chance I get! If I could give it more than 5 stars, I would. This story is so unique! It is told in multiple POV's from not only the main characters but the side characters as well, I feel like this gives you a deeper connection to the characters as well as telling the back story. This series is full of action that will have you on the edge of your seat, plot twist after plot twist, banter, the magic system is so different, the spice *chefs kiss*, and the character art before/after each chapter is so beautiful! Katerina is definitely in my top 10 favorite authors now, and I can't wait to see what she has in store for us with the 4th book!
What sets this book apart is its unique storyline. The plot is unpredictable, avoiding the clichés often found in the genre. The author takes bold risks, resulting in a narrative that is both refreshing and thought-provoking.
The Order series is more than just a romance or a dystopian novel; it’s a story about resilience, hope, and the power of love in the darkest of times. It’s a must-read for anyone who enjoys a well-crafted, intense story that stays with you long after you’ve turned the last page.
I have so many questions and not enough answers. What the hell? The storyline continues here in this book beautifully. Each little detail brings it more and more into life. It unfolds into a graceful waterfall of just perfection. I am so sucked in I’m drowning. And yet with every little detail there’s a hard twist. Oh the twists hurt too. But the love between Forest and Xavier makes up for it. Until you get to the end. That last plot twist hurt so much I wanted to throw everything. This series is so good. So good!
Surely… SURELY the ending was some kind of act and everything will be fine in book 4. RIGHT?!
If not, I might have to reread the whole thing to understand all the POVs from Forrest…
I’m really loving this series! It’s fresh and different. I gave it 4 (instead of 5) stars because I do feel sometimes words are repetitive and I am constantly confused when a sentence starts with an -ing word of a verb that is not done by the subject, if that makes sense. I don’t know if this is done on purpose or if it’s bad editing?
