Seeking out the vile Keryth, picking them off in order to create a safer home for all the lesser folk the Keryth preyed upon in the kingdom. Nyx, a hunter fueled by the taste of revenge that she one day is determined to exact for all the pain and suffering she has endured. But what happens when the hunter becomes the hunted?
She will soon find out when she is kidnapped by none other than the Prince of her sworn enemy.

Felix is desperate to know her. Following her and learning her patterns. She may be just what he is looking for. Help he may need to save the kingdom, his kingdom that is being slowly suffocated. But with his new captive, and her determination to make him pay for kidnapping her will he save more than just his kingdom?

Listen Linda!!! Do it. Do it.!!!!!!!!! This amazing dark fantasy was so thrilling to read. If you haven’t already picked this up you defiantly should. Author had a way of describing her scenes so perfectly and descriptively it feels as if you are living them out. All be it some are a bit stomach churning lol and st times graphic (CHECK YOUR TRIGGERS) The Author brings the words right off the page with this one. There is a mild likeness to Beauty and the Beast but reverse it and she’s the beast and felix though he may be Prince of the Keryth his heart lies elsewhere.
I loved this entire read and the spin on the curse was top tier. I am so sad that it’s over but I am definitely crossing my fingers in hopes to see more of Felix and NYX.

This book has me hook line and sinker! It was so good! I didn’t read the synopsis before I started reading because I wanted to be surprised and I didn’t want to ruin the story and let me tell you, this book was brilliant!

I am always in awe of authors that can let their imagination go wild with their stories and how they come up with the plot and the twists that are so flawless.

Not gonna lie I cried a couple times reading this! It just got me in all my feels! NYX is a powerhouse who strikes then takes names! I just love her and her fierceness. You don’t want to make her mad, cause you’ll be the next one on the chopping block. She was tortured and abused so much that she didn’t even know who she was anymore so she created a different version of herself to get justice and to bring justice to innocent people. She’s A vigilante on a mission!

Then she meets Felix and although he’s next on her list, things start happening that she doesn’t even realize is happening and maybe, just maybe she may have met her match or mate?

Slow burn with lots of tension. I'm a huge fan of H.E. Gober but I think this book just wasn't for me. Don't get me wrong, the tension between the MCs was delicious from the start. Never did I think I'd be salivating for a book boyfriend in glasses. I think what I wasn't a fan of was our FMCs personality. I understand stubbornness is her trait but she came off super immature at times and a lot of her actions grindedy gears.
Over all, the story started a bit slow but ended strong. And all our side characters really carried this book too.

Dark romantacy with a morally gray FMC

I loved this book. It is a much shorter book than H.E.'s epic fantasy series but it still leaves you immersed in the characters rather bleak setting. This is he falls first, enemies to lovers with a twist. There is tons of trauma to unpack as well as a mystery to solve. The only thing I wished was different was the FMC discovering her own magic. I had expected throughout the book and was a little disappointed when she didn't.

Phenomenal

I absolutely love all that I have read from H. E. Gober! She tells her stories so fully but without all the extra and unneeded verbiage. This novel tells the story of Nyx and Felix, one a lost soul and the other trying to help his people. Enemies to lovers, HEA. This novel kept me wanting to know what happens next until the end.

I am absolutely OBSESSED with this book!!! I am usually very skeptical of Beauty and the Beast retellings or books with those vibes. However, H.E. Gober more than exceeded every expectation I could have had!! This book was so well written and the characters were so well built that I literally felt like I was in the story!! Definitely recommend this book if you are ok with the triggers!!

This book was a fantastic DARK fantasy book! Well written and the FMC was a badass and the MMC was such a swoon worthily. The combination of spice and suspense mixed with everything in between had it hard to put this book down! The take on beauty and beast was perfect!
