Over the Limit

Rate this book
You don’t mess around with a teammate’s ex. Ever. But that’s easier said than done when it comes to Blair Carmichael. She’s sexy, intelligent, gorgeous, and one hundred percent off-limits.

And I’ve never fallen harder.

But I can’t touch (when I most definitely want to).

My team’s success and my chance at a new contract for next season depend on me keeping my hands on the wheel. And off her curves.

As the season progresses, we secretly steal as much time as we can together—in hotel rooms, after races, anywhere we can’t be found out. A real romance out in the open would risk her job in the industry, her reputation, and my image–not to mention my strained relationship with my teammate.

I’ve lived my whole life with one mantra. Team first. What I want outside of my racing career hasn’t factored in.

Until now.
Until Blair.

She deserves the world and I plan on giving it to her. Even if I have to walk away from the biggest contract of my career.

A forbidden, Formula 1 romance.

"Stepping into her fire is a foregone conclusion. All I can hope is that the world doesn't burn down around me when I do."

Lachlan Evans.
He has always had one thing on his mind.
Formula 1. Win. Race. Team.
He knows he is nothing without the people helping him.
He can't afford to get distracted.
That's what he always believed.
Until her.
Until the auburn haired girl who stole his breath away.
That girl is Blair Carmichael and she just happens to be his teammate's ex.
But he can't afford to let anything distract him. Anyone distract him.
Until now. Until her.

"But just like the past few days, my mind wanders. To things it shouldn't be thinking of. To someone it shouldn't be wondering about."

Blair Carmichael.
Event coordinator for Apex Racing.
And girlfriend (well ex now) of one of Apex's drivers.
But she is not going to let that distract her.
She earned her job fair and square and she will not let her boss down.
She will not let anything distract her.
But then… peppermint.
His scent. His cologne. His taste.
Lachlan Evans.
Her ex's teammate.
And the guy she cannot get out of her mind.

"I shouldn't want it. Want him. But God, does it feel good."

I received an advanced reader's copy in exchange for an honest review 💙💙
I can say with full confidence that this book is my favorite of the series so far!!
I was obsessed from the very first chapter. With cinnamon roll Lachlan and his obsession with Blair. And the teammate's ex!!! Their banter, the chemistry, and the Formula 1 world all come together in this amazing book!

"You are just the distraction I need. The person who might help me put things into perspective. You're all of the above."

Blair Carmichael is an event coordinator for Apex racing in F1. She was dating Oliver Rossi. Blair and Rossi's relationship was literally why I put "weatherman" in the playlist. The relationship in the book is just so sad from Blair's side and I know the next book is about Rossi so I am hoping for a redemption arc. But Blair feels invisible. Like it's always his career first, his life first, and then she's just there. Not anymore I can tell you that.

"When I'm with him I feel more real, more whole than I have felt in years."

And we have Lachlan Evans. We love to see the Aussie MMC (for my honey badger girlies IYKYK) literally immediately thought of Daniel Ricciardo and you cannot convince me otherwise. I mean the cinnamon roll MMC alone had me hooked. And the insta-obsession with Blair. Even when he tried to deny it.
As I said K. Bromberg has a way of putting together emotion, banter, spice and Formula 1 in this amazing book and again it is my favorite of the series so far!!

"Do you feel that? Do you feel what you do to me? How you make me feel?"

This playlist just honestly "came to me" (as corny as that might sound) but I feel like it fits with the book so well 💙✨

Over The Limit by K. Bromberg

4/5 stars

Over The Limit is a fun and romantic love story. We follow Lachlan and Blair in this book.
Lachlan is a Formula 1 driver who is extremely driven to win a world championship. And Blair is dedicated to her job and gives it everything she has.

Blair has been in an on/off relationship with Rossi for 10 years. Right from the get go we see how awful he treats Blair. She is convenient and he knows that however crappy he treats her, she always comes back to him. So he sleeps around, diminishes her job and puts her far, far below him.

Lachlan is pissed at Rossi at how awful his teammate treats his girlfriend. And when Lachlan and Blair find themselves alone in a garden at a party things change. They aren't flirting. But they are talking and connecting and sharing their hopes and dreams with each other. And when it happens again they realize that they both feel more for the other one than they previously expected.

And that is what kickstarts the story. They fall in love while they need to navigate their jobs and they don't want to hurt Rossi. And that makes things really difficult at times.

The beauty of this story is the stark difference between how Rossi and Lachlan treat Blair. Lachlan doesn't have a bad bone in his body and he puts her first, each and every time. He communicates and respects her completely.

I also loved how Formula 1 is represented quite truly in this story. Here and there I wish it was deepened out a bit more. But the overall bones are solid. I am a huge F1 fan so I am glad K. knows what she is writing about.

I did miss a bit of spiciness in this book. And I wish more things happened. The ending felt very open. He has a dream at the start of the book. And I still don't know if he accomplished that dream or not. Maybe it'll happen in Rossi's book, I am not sure. But I wish it was added to this one.

But all in all it was a fun, great, fast paced and enjoyable book. 4 huge stars from me for this beauty!

4.5 'All of the above' Stars!
ARC provided via Valentine PR in exchange for an honest review.

I am always excited when it comes to new releases from K. Bromberg and I was impatiently awaiting for this one in particular. Why you ask? Two main reasons. First, I still remember how much I adored the previous installment in this series and second, I read about troupes like “forbidden romance” and “protective hero who falls HARD for a sassy and curvy heroine” and I am all over the idea. As you can imagine, Kristy did not disappoint. She definitely brought in the big guns with Lachlan and Blair!

So, Over the Limit is the third installment in Bromberg’s Full Throttle series and it tells the story of Lachlan Evans, an Australian F1 driver that needs to stay focused on his team’s success, and Blair Carmichael, a charity event planner and his teammate’s longtime girlfriend and new obsession. Definitely off-limits, right? But what happens when Blair has had enough of it and breaks up with Rossi? Will Lachlan finally act on the strong chemistry he feels for her or is it too risky for both their careers? Will love come first or will it be all about success?

She’s hidden behind all these layers, and I want to unpeel them one by one.

I do love a man who falls first and hard. This is actually my second book in a row that has this exact troupe and I am not mad about it. I LOVE IT. I just can’t not love a protective alpha who wants the best and wants to take good care of the woman he is falling for. Lachlan is that and so much more. And Blair just, bless her. I love her personality so much and how she finally fights for herself. The spark between these two is just so endearing and I loved how they start as friends and then become soulmates. Yes, there is a bit of drama about his ex (will see how Rossi redeems himself in the next book ‘cause he was such an ass in this one…) and about keeping their relationship a secret to not cause problems but, in the end, of course love is stronger than the rest of the obstacles.

I’m happy. Truly happy in a way I haven’t been in as long as I can remember.
And I deserve to feel that way.

Therefore, I am rating Over the Limit with 4.5 STARS because K. Bromberg did a wonderful job with this new couple and their love story. I loved the romance troupes on this one, I loved the chemistry between Lachlan and Blair, the banter, the steam, the feels. Just all of it. Definitely a good addition to this Formula 1 series. I am sure that people will love this one, especially if they have read the previous two books in the series. Now let’s see what will happen with Oliver Rossi in the next installment, I am definitely curious to see how Kristy will make us love this guy!

Lachlan and Briar are the definition of meant to be.

Briar has been with Rossi for as long as she can remember but it is also the truth that sometimes you are taken for granted and the person is just happy with the idea of you rather than having you as a person. The briar's character felt like my reflection in certain moments.

Lachlan is a golden retriever through and through and I want to commend how strong he stood when the feelings and emotions were high.

The forbidden aspect of love with the driving contract in the air created the drama which was well enjoyed.

I enjoyed the connection between Lachlan and Briar and how they started as friends, it showed the depth but also the final conversation between Briar and Lachlan and how he did not shy away from showing her off.

This book was beautiful and I cant wait for Rossi's redemption as a character.

Over the limit is a spicy Formula 1 Romance and I loved every second of it. Blair Carmichael finds herself in a not so great relationship with a Formula 1 driver when out of nowhere comes the MMC Lachlan Evans and (He is on the same team as Blair’s boyfriend) Lachlan falls fast & HARD.

This may be TMI for a book review but I can’t get over how much I relate to this book. I’m a curvy girl just like Blair💁🏻‍♀️ and I ended an awful relationship right after I met my husband back in 2012, just like Blair. My husband fell fast & first just like Lachlan and he also did sweet little gestures before we started dating to win me over. I felt like I was reading a love story between my husband and I (minus the Formula 1 part lol) & I will forever love this book for that reason. (The release date is also my daughter’s Birthday!! This book is tied to me in so many ways now😂)

When it says he falls and falls hard, she wasn’t lying. This man is in love, obsessed and he doesn’t care what it might cost him.

I loved seeing him alter his POV as a result of finding love.

I loved seeing the heroine kick that awful ex to the curb, and move onto someone who loves all of her.

The audio was so good! Love the narrator choices! Good pacing and storytelling!

Okay, I’m kind of obsessed with this book?? This story follows Lachlan Evans (an Australian F1 driver under Apex Racing) and Blair Carmichael (Event Coordinator for Apex Racing and girlfriend to Lachlan’s teammate, Oliver Rossi). He knows she’s off-limits for so many reasons but can’t seem to get her out of his mind.

I haven’t read many Formula 1 romances, so initially I wasn’t sure if this was going to be my thing. Lucky for me, I ended up absolutely loving it and now need more F1 romances in my life. Both characters play a huge role in the F1 Racing world, so we got to see a lot of different aspects of the industry. While you definitely don’t need to be a fan of F1 to enjoy this, I bet actual fans would EAT THIS UP.

There was so much to like about the MCs and their romance. I loved Blair and the journey she goes through over the course of the book. Even though it was very clear to the reader (and Lachlan!) that her relationship with Rossi was one-sided and very toxic, I respected that it took a little bit of time for her to not only acknowledge that herself but to take the steps to remove herself from the situation. It felt very true to real life. We eventually get to see her find out what a healthy relationship looks like, and how she doesn’t have to compromise her own dreams/ambitions for the sake of a relationship. Of note, there’s no cheating here whatsoever, but she definitely began having “less than friendly” feelings towards Lachlan before the relationship ended. So just know that going in!

Now…Lachlan. Lachlan Evans was ABSOLUTE PERFECTION. He is the definition of “he falls first and harder”. He was immediately infatuated with her curves and her mind right from the start, but quickly recognized that there wasn’t much he could do considering she was dating his teammate. Lachlan was exactly the type of man that Blair deserved. He not only recognized her worth but did absolutely everything in his power to foster it. I loved how he was ultimately willing to put everything on the line for me, but would never consider doing anything that could potentially compromise her ambitions/career. Like…come on. Clearly a man written by a woman and we love to see it.

This was book #3 in K Bromberg’s Full Throttle series but can be read as a standalone (this was my first ever K Bromberg and was able to thoroughly enjoy it). I highly recommend picking this book up when it drops on June 13th!

Also…the next book is going to be Oliver Rossi???? I can't wait to see what happens with his character redemption arc!

What to Expect:
- Formula 1 Romance
- Ex's Teammate
- Forbidden Romance
- Close Proximity
- Curvy FMC
- He Falls First

Over the Limit is the third book in the Full Throttle series. Lachlan and Blair's story is super cute, and I loved the forbidden nature of their relationship. Lachlan is an elite F1 driver. Blair works for F1 and is the girlfriend of Rossi, Lachlan's teammate. Lachlan knows Blair is off limits, but he can't get her out of his mind. When Blair and Rossi break up, Lachlan takes a chance and starts something with her. Their relationship must be kept private to protect their careers, reputations, and Lachlan's relationship with his teammate.

I loved Lachlan and Blair together. They had a really strong connection and amazing chemistry. The development of their relationship was perfect and not rushed. After dealing with a man who did not treat her well, watching Lachlan show Blair what true love looks like was heartwarming. He gave Blair the space and time to figure out what she wanted and did not push her to do anything she didn't want to do. Lachlan is swoony and brings the heat. Over the Limit is a fun, easy, fast-paced read with drama, humor, and sweet moments.

NARRATION:
Gary Furlong and Stella Hunter did a great job with this dual narration. They were perfect voices for Lachlan and Blair and really brought the characters to life. I loved Gary's accent and how he portrayed the driven and caring nature of Lachlan. Stella expertly portrayed Blair's emotions. I also loved how well they were able to voice the opposite characters. This was a fun listening experience.

ARC REVIEW!
Book Title: Over the Limit
Author: K. Bromberg
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5
Spice: 🌶️🌶️.5
Release Date: 13th of June
Gifted by: Valentine PR

I went into this book blind as this is my first in the series and first by this author. This book was a great mix of F1 and romance, the writing was just perfection. It was honestly hard for me to put the book down. I ATE it all up!

Lachlan gave ALL the golden retriever vibes; this guy is perfection. You are telling me not only is he an F1 driver (YES PLS) but also, he is so fucking romantic and thoughtful and just PERFECT! His love language is acts of service and it shows! THE FLOWER BOUQUET SCENE, IYKYK!
Blair lost her sparkle or shall I say music, for a little bit but she found the strength to do the things that needed to be done! YOU GO GIRL!

Watching their friendship blossom into a relationship was honestly the cutest and I admire that they both had amazing communication skills, even when they were having the shittiest day, they were upfront with each other!

If you are a fan of F1 do yourself a favour and dive into this book and if you aren’t a fan of F1 read it anyway, I’m sure you’ll be a fan afterwards!
The ONLY reason this isn’t a 5 star read was because it was insta love and I am not the biggest fan of insta love, BUT this book did make me forget about that, so that’s a plus!

4.7/5✨
3/5🌶️

When I saw that this book has a Formula 1 story, I ran so fast to sign up for an ARC 🥰. Thank you so much for this chance K. Bromberg and Valentine Pr.

Lachlan and Rossi are teammates at Apex Racing team. They are both trying to remain in Formula 1 for the next season. Their rivalry is increasing with each race weekend and things get really slippery between them. Even on track 🫣.

Blair is the current girlfriend of Rossi, but she felts neglected by him. They've known eachother since they were teenagers, so Blair just feels stuck in this relationship.

Unexpected chemistry appears between Blair and Lachlan, whom is seeing her for exactly who she is and she feels that the flame inside her is igniting again. A secret romance is starting, which can impact both of their careers in bad.

Even though I initially thought that it's going to be a triangle love story, I was relieved that it wasn't the case 🤭. I loved every detail about the racing parts and also the love story between the characters 🩵. I truly recommend it 🤗.

Formula 1 Romance Books

"I don't want perfect. I just want you."

Over the Limit is the third in K. Bromberg’s Over The Limit Series featuring F1 drivers and I am obsessed with this series. The first three books stand alone very well, so it’s OK to start with this one, but I do recommend you read Over the Limit before the next book, Out of Control.

Formula 1 (and occasionally other racing) is the only sport I watch, but I honestly don’t think you need to be an F1 fan to love this book. I have loved many other sports romances without watching the sport, and K. Bromberg never makes you feel like it’s over your head. I do think that after reading this you may want to check out the sport though—20 HOT guys racing a death-defying speeds with lots of interesting and easy strategies to watch? Yes please!

Now for the story. Blaire Carmichael grew up around F1 racing and now works in event management for Apex Racing. She’s been dating Oliver Rossi, the bad-boy driver on the team, for over 10 years since his karting days. Rossi takes her for granted, cheats on her, disrespects her career, and treats her like shit, but they are friends and have been together so long that it’s hard for Blair to walk away, but she finally puts herself first and ends things with Rossi.

Lachlan is the quiet Aussie driver on the team (I’m thinking Oscar Piastri's personality with Danny Ric's looks) who has been attracted to the beautiful plus-size Blaire and hated watching his teammate treat her like he did. Since they work for the same team Blaire and Lachlan got to know each other. He comforted her after the breakup and he and Blaire became very close friends. So close that she quickly learned how a man was supposed to treat a woman.

Blaire works for the team and already having a boyfriend on the team doesn’t look great from the outside. But if she started dating the other driver on the team it could look disastrous for her, especially as she is working on a pivotal event for her career. In addition, Laughlin doesn’t have a contract for next year and this relationship could factor in to whether he is offered another one.

The chemistry between them is on fire. The way he falls for her is beautiful and their communication was just so strong. I loved the way he put her first and treated her job like it was as important as his. But could this relationship cause them to both lose their spots on the team?
“Touching you is my new favorite thing.”

Likes:
•I loved the way they talked all night, truly getting to know each other, I find that missing in so many romance books.
•A plus-sized heroine who didn’t need to lose weight to find happiness.
•A plus-sized heroine where her weight was barely a blip in the story.
•He fell first and hard!
•Lachlan was just such a good, protective guy.
•Lachlan’s dirty side.
•I loved their communication.
•The F1 part was done very well, both on the track and behind the scenes. I just wish there was more of that.
•Lachlan came from a happy family, something you rarely see in romance.
•His romantic side…the flower bouquet!

Dislikes:
•If this happened in real life, the press would have been awful, I felt like they got off a little too easy..
•It all wrapped up just a little too quickly for me.

The Narration:
Stella Hunter and Gary Furlong were both amazing. I did have to slow down the book just a little (from 1.4 to 1.2) to accommodate for his Aussie accent, but the accent just made it so much more authentic. I loved the narration and I am glad I chose to listen. His want and worship of her and his adrenaline on the track were portrayed beautifully and Stella was just perfect for her part.

The Down & Dirty:
K. Bromberg did it again with Over The Limit! I have loved a lot of her books over the years, but this series is not only my favorite of hers, but one of my favorite series in general. Yes, I may be biased because of my love for F1 but I loved her books The Player and The Catch and I’m not a baseball fan. Over the Limit had characters I loved, lots of angst without it being too much, amazing romance, exciting racing, and hot, well-written sex that wasn’t cheesy and didn’t take over the story. I can’t wait to see how Kristy redeems Rossi in Out of Control.

Rating 4.5 Stars, 3 Heat, 4.5 Narration

This series has been solid from the start, and I ended this book with my head in the clouds of Formula 1 yet again.

📕 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Over the Limit by K. Bromberg

📙 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀: Full Throttle character series. Book 3.

📗 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗗𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘀: E-book ARC on Kindle. 🆓️ on KU.

📘 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗿𝗲: Sports romance

📔 𝗧𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝘀: Sports (Forumula 1), love triangle-ish, insta-love.

📖 𝗦𝘆𝗻𝗼𝗽𝘀𝗶𝘀: Lachlan Kane needs to concentrate on driving, especially during his contract season - but he can't help but notice Blair. There's two problems: first, he can't afford a distraction. And second, she's his teammate's girlfriend.

🌟 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄: I've said throughout this whole series that K. Bromberg writes Formula 1 really well, and that it brings me exactly what I need. It's a solid read for passive fans of the sport, and includes all the best glitz and glamour that racing brings to the table.

Lachlan and Blair were 100% instalove, but sometimes that's refreshing. There was other man drama, but once the pair decided to be together there was very little drama between the two of them, and I appreciated that a ton. There were a few times that I legit thought "wow, that was healthy communication and I can't believe I am reading this."

The book also read super fast, so I finished it in less than a day.

There were some key parts missing, for me at least, that brought this down to a four. I needed a little more about Blair and Rossi's relationship. I think it would have made me feel a little more angst (for those who hate love triangles, this was very, very light on that trope) and maybe would have made Rossi more of a character for me.

But otherwise, I am fully sucked into this series and ready for more.

 𝗥𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴: 4/5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐

𝗦𝗽𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗟𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹: 3/5 🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶

wow. this is possibly the best formula 1 romance story i have ever read (and i’ve read a few with major error about the sport). as a huge formula 1 fan this book goes into the depth of the sport, this is truly a sports romance with knowledge of the sport and i thank the author for it!

blair & lachlan are the cutest. there’s mention of them not believing in insta love, but they felt an insta connection. i disliked oliver for hurting blair. i understood blair for not wanting to leave something she’s known for years, only realizing it when she gets treated perfectly how someone should be treated.

the rivalry between teammates was amazing, i’m so glad i found this book and thank the author and valentine pr for an arc copy of this book. i’m so glad i found it, again because the book was well written with a knowledge for the sport 🤍🏎️ finally !!!

Lachlan and Blair
Swoon!!!

Lachlan is the good boy of racing. Always willing to meet people, talk to interviewers, say nice and positive things, smiles, etc. etc. Unlike his teammate, who is the complete opposite..complains, nothing is his fault, etc. So it grates on Lachlan’s nerves to see his teammate, Oliver, treat his girlfriend like crap. She, Blair, works for the team and is a nice girl. She deserves better.

Blair works for racing team dealing with social media and events. So she has a pretty good relationship with the drivers. She has known Oliver for many many years but as the years go on, she is starting to see that she is not a priority. He belittles her and her job and everything he does takes the top spot.

Then one evening, both Lachlan and Blair find themselves outside a party, both wanting to get away from the hustle and noise. To their surprise, they enjoy that conversation..a lot. You have to read for more.

Love love Lachlan. To start, I love that he has a supportive family. Unlike some other racers, we get a different perspective with him. He was taught at a young age to respect others, especially his team. We cheer for the good guys. Then we have Blair, who is in a not so great relationship, and we instantly want more for her. Such a great read, such a great series!

Thank you #ValentinePR and #KBromberg!
I received this book via ARC and am leaving my review voluntarily.

Racing is Lachlan Evans life. His teammate’s on/off again girlfriend, Blair Carmichael, might challenge that when he can’t stop thinking about her. Lachlan knows it’s a “no go” area but can they find a way to be together and not hurt either of their careers? I loved how sweet Lachlan was and felt for what Blair was going through trying to prove herself at her job. A beautiful connection between two people trying to fight the pull they have towards each other. My heart is full! Top Read of 2024! Told in first person and dual POV.

Blair and Lachlan have been working and existing in the same circles for years as part of the F1 Apex team. After one night where both step out of the party to get some air, the two connect and realize a spark between themselves. Unfortunately, Blair is in a long-term relationship with Lachlan's teammate Rossi.

I was hopeful for the premise of this book. Unfortunately, it just fell flat for me. Within an early chapter, Lachlan says that if Blair were his, the whole world would know about it. Then we spend most of the book with them trying to conceal their relationship after she ends things with Rossi.

I also had problems with Lachlan going on dates with his friend. Even if nothing happened and even if he was trying to keep his relationship with Blair under wraps, it irked me.

When Blair got the courage to end things with Rossi, I was so proud. But she sort of spent the remainder of the book not standing up for herself or Lachlan. It was a bit frustrating.

5 Star Review Over The Limit (Full Throttle #3) by K Bromberg

Having read the previous books in the latest series from K. Bromberg I could not wait to dive into excited to read Over The Limit which is Lachlan Evans and Blair Carmichael’s forbidden love story.

Lachlan had one mantra, the team always comes first until Blair comes crashing into his life. He knows as the ex of one of his teammates that she is off limits. However, the heartbeats who it wants and lines are soon crossed as their chemistry becomes impossible to ignore.

What follows is an entertaining story and I enjoyed the push and pull dynamic as their relationship progressed.

As they got to know one another, it was heartwarming to watch their relationship develop. Both know that if their relationship is exposed it will cost them dearly and I loved that they had one another’s back.

A well written story that will draw you in and keep you invested till the last word is read.

****ARC****

Thanks to Grey's Promotion and Valentines PR for selecting me for this ARC. And a HUGE!!! thank you to the wonderful author for writing this amazing book. THANK YOU!!! ❤❤❤

HIGHLY. RECOMMENDED. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

Like the song says, "So this is love...". This made me fall in love. Lachlan puts the HIGH and STANDARDS in HIGH STANDARDS. He is definitely a TOP TIER book boyfriend. This man will make you see your self worth. He makes you see that you deserve the whole freaking world. I love Lachlan Evans. Everybody deserves a Lachlan Evans in their lives. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

This book to me as a surprise. This is my first time reading from this author and also my first F1 romance book. Cherry popped, lol. And I knew obviously what the tropes were BUT this book was just soooooo freaking INCREDIBLE! I was smiling ear to ear from beginning to end and wanted to restart right away again. I really feel bad that I won't be able to experience this book for the first time again.

The MMC and FMC; Lachlan and Blair were just so beautiful individually and together. They were strong. They were genuinely good people. They were hardworking and stood on business. They both deserve the world and so much more.

This man put this woman first in EVERYTHING!!! Even when he was having the worse day, he showed up for her. Even when he was upset at a situation, he still showed up. And his communication was spot on, both of their communication as a matter of fact. They were so clear about what they wanted. They fought those feelings but they were just there. From the beginning. And while it's kinda forbidden and taboo in the way it happened, trust when I say that there was no cheating trope involved here just incase theres some kind of confusion going in. It came together perfectly. They came together so perfectly, *clears throat*, NO PUN INTENDED! 😏😏😏

Overall I give this book, and this come as NO SURPRISE!, a ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐/5. And it deserves more. This is by far and easily one of my favorite books of the year. The book just makes you realise that you should NEVER! settle for less. This man showed up. He showed up no matter what. He is a golden retriever and with that I need me one. I need me a Lachlan Evan's and I will forever imagine myself to be Blair because I need that. Everybody deserves a Lachlan Evans in their lives. And not to mention the passion and chemistry they have. Let me tell you that this book didnt disappoint when it came to spice, it did not. It's not over the top dark romance level so if that's what you're looking for, walk away, this is not it. But the dirty talking from both of them and just their passionate chemistry. It was 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥.

I wanted more of them and this will definitely be on my reread list because it gave me a feeling in reading I didnt know I was missing and I just want more. This was one of the best ARCs I've received and I'm so freaking happy I signed up for it. You won't be disappointed one bit. If you're a romance girlie or boy, you can't be disappointed. I'm just in awe.

I really look forward to what's to come next in this series and also overall from this author because she does soem fantastic writing! Do I hear a redemption story coming?!?! Not a fan but with this author I know we will be getting something great!

Over the Limit really surprised me because at the beginning I was a little hesitant to read a sports romance that deals with Formula 1 but the beauty of this book is that it is wonderful even for those who don't follow it as a sport. Let's talk about Blair and Lachlan...the first time I became fond of her and how little by little she understands how the relationship with Rossi is absolutely negative, I would say quite harmful for her and for her life...One thing Blair teaches us is that we must not never compromise. Never. and now we come to Lachlan who, my God, I carry him in my heart, when he was there I smiled with heart-shaped eyes because of the way he speaks and acts especially towards Blair. I'll just say one thing: scene of the bouquet of flowers 😍 ....I haven't read the other books in the series but I definitely want to run to Amazon to buy and read them. Some of the tropes you will find in this book: sports romance, love triangle and insta love but this last one is written so it's sublime...Rating 4.5 ⭐

Lachlan, oh sweet Lachlan, you have my heart. This boy is such an angel. Big acts of love, sweet words, and he’s a good communicator? Holy smokes sign me up please I’m begging. When he brings her flowers?! I swooned, iykyk. I’m so glad he we got his story and I really loved Blair. Her role in the F1 world was fascinating. I really really loved getting to read from her POV and seeing her build herself up. She’s powerful and strong and I just adore her. Rossi on the other hand… bye. I won’t lie, I don’t really care to have his book but I’ll give him a chance cause I’m sure Bromberg will make me love him just like I have with these other three boys. This one has one of my least favorite tropes, but she made it work so well that I didn’t mind it. Such a fun one!

Thank you so much to K. Bromberg and Valentine PR for the early access.

My only issue really was the pacing toward the end. And Rossi.. but he didn’t impact my rating, I just wanna fight him.

Tropes:
-he falls first
-off limits relationship
-forced proximity

Thank you to Valentine PR for this ARC to review!

Lachlan is a formula 1 driver who gets a crush on his teammates longtime girlfriend. Rossi hasn’t been treating his girlfriend, Blair well. Once she’s had enough, they break it off.

Now, Lachlan knows he can’t publicly go after his teammate’s ex-girlfriend. However, he and Blair have mutual attraction. I really enjoyed the secret/forbidden romance!

If you’re looking for a formula 1 romance with a forbidden romance with a teammate’s ex girl then this is for you!

Wow, this was my first book by this author but I’m ready to jump into the rest!

I loved the dynamics in this book. Blair & Rossi’s complicated relationship and then how Lachlan shows Blair what a healthy relationship looks like. Followed up with some tester one filled tension and Rossi’s attempt at an apology. To add to that, we have Blair & Lachlan’s jobs and how their relationship plays into those. Idk how else to explain it except it felt incredibly in depth without the book being a million pages long. I loved it!

Lachlan is a perfect gentleman and I love him so much 😭😭 he’s soooo good to Blair and shows her through big and small gestures how much he loves her. 100% chance you’ll fall in love with him too.

I’m incredibly excited for Rossi’s book, he’s gonna be a very complex character that I’ll love reading about!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
🌶️🌶️

• formula 1 racing romance
• secret dating teammate's ex
• curvy FMC
• close proximity
• he falls first and hard

"All of the above."

Lachlan Evans is what every book boyfriend should be. He is a Formula 1 race car driver and is familiar with Blair Carmichael, an event coordinator for his racing team. Blair and teammate Oliver Rossi's relationship is on the way out (again) (don't let the door hit you, Rossi) and she and Lachlan have an instant connection that they both try to avoid. He puts the "21 day rule" in place after her breakup with Rossi is finalized to make sure they're doing the right thing and that her head is in the right place.

Read Over the Limit to see how long Blair lasted in this 21 day attempt of Lachlan's.

No 3rd act breakup, just a minor break. Love the communication and lack of angst. They're the sweetest couple!

Formula 1 driver, forbidden romance, and he falls first!?!?! Say less. This was everything I wanted it to be and more.
Lachlan is a F1 driver who is currently falling for his teammates ex…. Did I also mention that Blair currently works in the F1 business? What could possibly go wrong?
Too many times I have seen “forbidden” as a trope and its not forbidden just frowned upon. The stakes between Blair and Lachlan’s relationship felt important and they had legitimate reasons for keeping their feelings quiet, which I loved. The chemistry between these two jumped right off the page and I really believed in their love story.
I love a man who is down bad for his woman and let me tell you, Lachlan DELIVERED. And the ENDING!? I did not see that coming!!

Rating: 4.5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫

Pick this one up if you enjoy:
▪️Formula 1
▪️He falls first
▪️Forbidden love
▪️Close proximity

I loved Lachlan and Blair’s story so much. This is a forbidden romance between formula 1 racer Lachlan and his teammate’s ex/team event coordinator Blair. I loved seeing these two get together - the realization of feelings and the sneaking around were so fun. K. Bromberg is excellent at writing tension and banter as well as sports romances so it’s no surprise I loved this one! This can be read as a standalone but I recommend picking up the full series asap!
