You must read the prior books!
The month is up and Allison is back to her reality. She doesn’t know how to feel or function after being Jared’s slave for a month. She is trying to allow her husband to fix the mess he is in, but Jared keeps coming back to Allison to play.
Jared is married to Astrid (whom he despises) and is supposed to start a family with her and run the his new family business. He is also trying to get a much information about Allison’s dad and friends to bring their dirty business to the ground and wipe them out.
I just need Allison and Jared to be together for ever! I know it doesn’t make sense, because she was his bully, but with the month they were together… I just want Astrid out of the picture lol.
And the way the book ended!!!! I need the next book like yesterday. *heart eyes*

Temptation is a good dark revenge romance!
Lots of twists and turns. Keeps you wondering how it will end. Jared and Alison have sizzling chemistry. They both are obsessed but fight wanting each other. The ending leaves you wanting more and wondering how this will turn out.....
Anne does a great job at sucking you into her stories and making you love her characters. I can't wait to read more!!

I’ve been along for this ride from the beginning and have been so completely sucked in! The crazy conflicting feelings that the characters and their relationship/dynamic give, just make you long for more.
I will say, like the previous book in this series, I feel like the actual plot has been dragging out. Just when I felt like it was getting somewhere, another twist would pop up seemingly out of nowhere? Also, some of the dialogue elicited a bit of whiplash.
However, I’m confident it’s all building up to one hell of an ending!

I received an ARC by the magnificent Anne for an honest review.
Ugh. As soon as I saw this book; I squealed. I don’t squeal so you know I must love this series. I love a female bully and I don’t think you get good written female bullies in this genre. I wish I never read it so I can experience this book fresh all over again. I usually question when I see 5 star reviews but Anne has done it again with this one; another 5 stars.
What I liked:
- The writing. The pace. The storyline.
- Alison’ honesty. She is pulling no punches about her feelings for Jared. She lays it out there on the table.
- Jared realising that he is just as obsessed with Alison and coming to terms with his feelings even though he attributes it to his abandonment issues.
- Alison and Jared; the softer moments. Come on, don’t you just melt at this excerpt?
“ I anticipated Jared's usual flirtatious behavior or playful touches, but to my surprise, he remained still. After a few minutes, I felt his head suddenly rest in my lap. I tensed, fearing he might attempt something inappropriate, but he made no further movements. His head simply lay there” Awww!
- Astrid and Jared; I don’t know I just like her. She too has a hard exterior but has the potential to be a good ally. A dominant, she has to be in her world but I’m not too fond of her ultimatum for Jared in the end.
What needs improvement:
- Alison not feeling much guilt as she was cheating away on Warren while holding a grudge over his infidelity.
- Lack of role play. I loved that in the first three books as it helped them open up.
Not as much spice as in the previous three books but great nonetheless. The book ended on a cliffhanger. I can’t wait for the next book release.

As we all know the contract between jarred und Allison is over and both can go back to the life they lived before but is it really what they want? Did jarred archive his goal? Yes and no. Allison is obsessed with him just like he wished but he did not got her obsession through the contract. She was obsessed with him since they were kids.
Jarred is now married to Astrid and she loves to play games with Jarred’s mind but he sees right through it and gives it right back to her.
As it is expected for them to start a family they do right that even if jarred doesn’t want to and is more or less forced to take Astrid.
He tries to busy himself with work and as we found out in the last book his next victim is Allison’s dad and because he has to get near him he also gets near Allison as well. Is he going to stop playing with Allison cos he’s married now? Nope he is not. He knows that it’s his trauma to always go back to her but is there something else deep down?
Allison’s back in her old life. She questions herself if it’s worth to save her marriage and the life she life’s ? She is tired of always wearing her mask. At the end of Obsession, the contract between Jared and Alison is over so he takes her back home. Alison goes back to work and tries to reconnect with Warren. And Jared is unhappily married to Astrid. But we all know nothing is going to keep Jared and Alison apart. A couple factors ensure that their paths cross. Jared is going after her evil father and his cohorts. Jared needs an outlet and safe place from his wife. And Alison still loves and obsesses over Jared and he still obsesses and "hates" her. I love how much Alison has grown. She has analyzed and recognized why she tortured Jared. She has come to terms with her feelings and has decided to be truthful and open with him. Also, she has started standing up to her Mom and Warren and she is trying to take control of her life for the first time ever. As always, the chemistry between them is intense, amazing, and off the spectrum. Jared is finally realizing that she has changed and he does not truly hate her (although he still won't admit it). I just want them to be together already! Of course, at the end of Temptation we are left with a major cliffhanger! I can't wait until Redemption!

✨ All the stars once again for Annie T Thyssen and her Dark Revenge Series. Temptation is book 4 and Jared has catapulted up my list of tortured, unhinged, morally grey, sexy AF MMC‘s. Alison has evolved on such an epic way. I cannot believe how much I have grown to appreciate her. I still despise Astrid and thinking of her gives me acid reflux. Don’t get me started on Vince. Vile, deplorable, deceitful traitor, he’s at the top of my sh❊t list.

Intriguing storyline and very very spicy!
I read this book and honestly I couldn't put it down. I read this book as a standalone and it was so good I wanna go back and read books 1-3! I love the story line there's so many twists and turns it leaves u wanting more and the twist at the end is perfection! I loved reading about how Allison and Jared were constantly being drawn together even if Jared lives in a very dangerous world and well Allison cant let her parents down n let her image slip can she? Now I think I have said a bit too much on that front but another thing I wanted to tell you about is this book is very VERY spicy so much so that at times I had to put the book down as I was reading it in some very public places and usually I can read smut with a straight face but this one I couldn't! id give it 10 stars just for the smut alone and 7 stars for the story line! definitely a good read I really recommend it.

Temptation picks up where Obsession leaves off with Jared and Alison's journey. Though he marries Astrid (the devil herself), he can't stay away from Alison. He loves her, even though he won't admit it and can't seem to stop being a jerk to her at times. Then there's Vince! This story is full of suspense, twists, turns and surprises that keeps you turning the pages in anticipation of what's next. It ends on a cliffhanger (I know, I feel the same way) and leaves us with enough to keep us intrigued with what's to come. Make sure to check the trigger warnings before you start reading. Topics that may be sensitive to some are included in the storyline.

Phew! First Anne Thyssen book series I have read and I absolutely loved all four. It’s a reverse bully romance that takes you through the minds of both characters with interwoven views from their childhood into their current adult life. READ TRIGGERS BEFOREHAND. The writing, pace and storytelling is perfect, taking you through an emotional, detailed and immersive journey with Jared and Allison. Every chapter leaves you in suspense waiting for what’s to come and I love how their relationship progressed through the books making us see how they really felt about each other from childhood. Definitely giving this series a 5/5 and can’t wait for the next one.

You definitely have to rest this series in order to understand the journey and chaotic dynamics of Alison and Jared's relationship.
This sees Alison's contract end and the return to her old life. Jared has been forced to move on into his unhappy and arranged marriage with Astrid, and it seems that is the end of their twisted list driven affair.
This had lots of mind games and the realisation that obsession goes both ways. Fate keeps pulling them together and I love their chemistry.

Temptation is the fourth book in what has so far been an amazing series. 5******* there definitely needs to be more stars.
The cliff hanger queen has returned. Making you want more. Anne makes you really drawn to all her characters. What they are going through and pulls you in with her creative writing style.
Jared MMC knows he shouldn't be drawn to Alison MFC after their contract has ended and revenge has been fulfilled, but continues to seek her out. they are like moths to a flame.

I have loved every book in this series and this one is no exception. The character development in this series has been FASCINATING and to finally see the main characters in a new setting with different circumstances was so interesting! The plot also thickened SO much in this book, I was hanging onto the edge of my seat. And I don’t even want to talk about that amazing cliffhanger ending. I CANNOT wait for the next book!

I need the fifth book like yesterday. I love the characters even though I hate how impressionable Allison is. One minute she’s like “yep Imma leave” and then she’s like “no I can make it work”. LIKE PLS JUST BE JAROD’S SLAVE SO YOU CAN BE HAPP, DUMMY. (Sorry not sorry for supporting this toxic relationship lol)

June 24, 2024Yes the book is full of spice, submission, etc but the story is finally getting good. Allison finally admits her true feelings and what she wants, and of course you get a cliffhanger. Saw that coming with Vince - he is the worse. I hate Astrid but I will say I see a redemption coming for her next book.

As with all of Anne's books in this series, Jared and Allison's "relationship" is SO good in this book. Anne did an amazing job portraying the obsession and bullying. I still don't know how to feel about Astrid in this book but I'm sure it's coming to an amazing end here soon! Of course Anne leads us to one heck of a cliffy (UGH!) and I absolutely need more!~

there were some good twists in this one and the ending was full of betrayal i didn’t really see coming.
also, i love that warren walked in on jared fucking allison and watched her cum. that was so good.
it got a bit repetitive and i really don’t like astrid, but it was still good and kept me wanting more so it makes for a good read to me.

This series is incredible. Every book keeps you reading and never wanting to put it down, then you realize you’re at the end already. I’m always left shocked and my jaw is dropped. So many secrets and emotions revealed. Just absolutely obsessed with this series..

Just admit that you both love each other already, omg! At least Alison is starting to. This book really confronts both characters, and it's intense. They're still very toxic, though.
I love that Ali is freeing herself and discovering more about who she is. BUT NO, NOT THE CLIFFHANGER ENDING! It left me desperate for more.

I'm always blown away by Anne's writing and this is my most favorite series. I still recommend anyone to read it but you have to start from the first book.
