The only thing bringing me back to this small dead-end town, is the girl I left behind.
It’s been eight years, but Ember's wild spirit and emerald eyes still haunt me.
I may have left, but I never meant to hurt her. The truth was, I came from nothing, and she deserved a better life than what I could give.
Today I’m successful beyond my wildest dreams. Designer suits, fast cars, luxury penthouses, I have it all. But without her none of it matters.
I want her back. I want her in my bed. And I want to claim every inch of her beautiful untouched body.
I’m desperate for a second chance to prove I’m the one. And I’ll move next door to make it happen.
She can love me or hate me. Either way - I’m going back.
And when I get there, I’ll do whatever it takes to make her mine.
What you get with "Claimed by My Billionaire" - Second Chance, Small Town Romance - Swoony Alpha Billionaire - Sassy and strong female lead - Undying Love - SPICY adult scenes with HOT dirty talk - Forced Proximity - Angst and secrets - Fun banter - HEA - NO cheating
A ferocious reader, a story weaver, and a lover of all things steamy and romantic. Her head is always in the clouds dreaming up the Hella Hunky male characters that will keep your heart racing. She writes men with the perfect amount of charm, wit, humor, class, and five o’clock shadow to make your insides quiver. Her heart throbs, heartbreaks, and HEA will always keep you coming back for more.
I have to say that, although I found the book to be extremely well written, I had a difficult time getting into it. It was a very slow burn for me and it wasn’t until maybe six chapters in or so when I found myself getting really interested in the story, at that point, I was hooked, wanting to know the secrets that were held by some of the characters.
I haven’t been much of a reader for a majority of my life, but found enjoyment in it beginning last spring. I am the type of reader who does well with authors, who are detailed in their writing, allowing the scene to unfold before my eyes. I have to say that this book did that for me. Each scene was described very well and I didn’t find a lot of verbiage being used over and over and over again.
I experienced a lot of emotions, including tears that caused me to temporarily stop reading, I also found myself at times getting slightly irritated with the main female character, assuming that she was always going to run when the situation got rough. When they finally got together, I was surprised by her admission and very pleased about how the lead male character handled the information. He truly was someone who had found love many years ago and seemed ecstatic to have found it again.
So, with the exception of finding it slow to get into the book, I did find it interesting and was very pleased with the happily ever after I received at the end. Although I believed there would be a happily ever after, I was extremely pleased with how the ending was written, but I have to say that I was also somewhat surprised. Thank you for the opportunity of reading your book, when all is said and done, I would put this in my file to reread.
So having read this author’s more recent book, “Major Penalty”, and being so pleasantly surprised I gave this one a chance. All I can say is that this author has come a long way in the last year.
Oof. This book was not well written and has tropes I don’t like.
- third act breakup - miscommunication. They don’t actually have a normal conversation about anything. - no small moments, no nothing. - boy from foster care/bad boy disappears one day leaving the love of his life behind without explanation, earns his billions and comes back for the beautiful rancher woman 8 yrs later. She’s 26 and he’s 32. - Second chance - but we have almost none of their back story to know why they were even in love in the first place. She’s portrayed as just following him around trying to have sex w him (when she’s 18 and he’s 24) and him avoiding her. - Slow burn; 70% but oddly with no build up. There is zero chemistry between these two. No protection, no talk of safety, just here we go. - OW - He makes it clear that he’s been w lots of women. And of course there’s a terrible woman (lingerie model) at a NYC party at the end that alludes in a weirdly graphic way to her sexy times w Pierce; he shuts her down. Although he also talks about having been w women years ago when he was on the ranch. So, yeah. Just ick. - OM - she’s of course a virgin. There’s some smarmy fake cowboy guy (Blaine) who is after her ranch. She goes on a date w him, even tho he’s made it fairly clear that he’s a terrible person and is looking for sexual favors in return for letting her keep her land. She doesn’t do anything w him. But Like huh?
More tropes: - friends to strangers (?) to lovers - mean girls at fancy party telling her she doesn’t belong. - her finding out that he’s been casually stalking her for 8 yrs - her beloved dad isn’t the nice person she thought he was. - dead parents (h) - unplanned pregnancy - virgin FMC; manwhore MMC who never cared about anyone but her, bc that’s delightful 🙄 They are both fairly unlikable. - HEA - baby and engagement in epilogue
Ugh. This had the bones to be a fun book, but it was held together by bad tropes and poor sentence structure.
How did he have money for school? How did he earn billions that quickly? She was never with anyone else?? Really? Why doesn’t she ask him why he’s back? She thinks he randomly wants to pay to stay at her ranch for a month, when he worked there while he was in foster care? Sure sure. He thinks he can come back without an explanation and do what? Win her back without talking? By what? Fixing her fences?

Healing the Hole in Their Hearts - Pierce never got over his love for Ember when he left to seek his fortune, so dropped everything and went to her when he discovered she was in trouble. Ember still hadn’t gotten over the pain of Piece leaving, so she wasn’t happy to see him back on the ranch. Even though Pierce tried everything to get Ember to forgive her, whilst he helped her resolve the problem she was facing, her stubbornness led her to continuously push him away.
However, just as Pierce managed to get Ember to forgive him and they embarked on a relationship, Ember discovered a secret Pierce had been keeping, which caused friction between them and led him to make life changing decisions. As luck would have it, fate brought them back together again when Ember received news that they were both happy about. I really enjoyed reading story, with engaging characters, steamy encounters and a drama filled storyline. It kept me entertained from the first page, until the end. I will be happy to recommend this book to all romance readers.

If you're a fan of second chance romance, you're going to adore this book! Pierce, once a humble ranch hand, left behind the love of his life, Ember, believing she deserved more than he could offer. Fast forward eight years, and Pierce has transformed into a billionaire, but his heart has never strayed from Ember. Meanwhile, Ember has spent those years nursing a broken heart, never fully moving on from the man who walked away.
When Ember finds herself in a bind, Pierce returns to the ranch with one goal: to win back the woman he never stopped loving. But Ember isn't about to make it easy for him. She's strong, resilient, and determined not to let Pierce off the hook easily. He has to fight for her trust, and the journey is both heartwarming and captivating.
This story is a beautiful blend of determination, redemption, and heartfelt moments. Pierce's unwavering resolve and Ember's strength make for an unforgettable read. I couldn't get enough of their love story and cherished every page.
Eight years have passed since ranchers hand Pierce Evans left his girl Ember behind to make something of himself out in the world. Now a billionaire he has returned to reclaim his one and only love, but it won’t be easy.
Ember has spent those intervening years along with her grandmother trying to keep their family ranch legacy alive, and with a land developer nipping at her heels isn’t interested in Pierce’s reappearance in her life even if the money he has paid for a month’s stay at the ranch keeps it afloat just a little longer.
Claimed by My Billionaire is a great second chance romance that tugs at the heart and as Pierce is about to learn, can you really go home again?
I enjoyed this engaging read that was a skillfully written narrative filled with love, intrigue, personal vulnerabilities, humor, and wonderfully crafted characters.

Pierce left Ember eight years ago without a word. What would you think? That he’s not serious about her of course. But now it’s eight years later and he’s back again. Has he changed that much or has she changed that much? Can they resolve their differences and make a life together? Do they want to make a life together or is Pierce there just for business reasons? I love this book. Overhearing conversations is never a good thing and what Ember thinks Pierce is doing, she cannot be more off base. I love their story, the way it is written, the secrets that bring them together instead of tearing them apart. I love it when Pierce and Ember realize they cannot live without each other. But you will also love her grandmother. She tells it like it is and helps Ember find what she wants in life. Awesome book.
What a great book with some fabulous characters. I absolutely loved the two main characters, Ember and Pierce, but thought that Gram and Issac were great too. Billionaire Pierce left eight years previously breaking Ember’s heart in the process. She has no idea why he left but when he unexpectedly turns up at her family ranch she wants answers but also doesn’t want to get too close and get hurt again. Pierce is determined to get her back and this story follows how they reconnect but there are certainly some bumps along the way! Ember is strong but stubborn and also reluctant to give in. Pierce won’t give up but doesn’t want to hurt her again. I found this an easy read that I thoroughly enjoyed. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Ember desperately loved Pierce. The hardheaded rancher’s 18 year old daughter in love with the much older simple ranch hand. She deserves more. Fast forward 8 years. Now Pierce is a billionaire and he has returned to the ranch and to Ember. I loved this book. So well written. You can see the ranch, smell the barn, feel the cold water of the pond! This is a fully developed story with multiple hurdles to clear, several characters are developed and contribute to this totally enjoyable book. I struggled to put the book down and turn out the light. I lost a little shut eye but really enjoyed this book.
This book has the WOW factor in it and is an ABSOLUTE must read book that will definitely have you enthralled from the very first chapter to the very last. This emotionally charged full of heart break, second chances with the one true love that you let slip away from you and a HEA is how I could describe this book. It's a book you will come to fall in love with and the characters will bring a tear or two to your eyes.
If you are looking for a book with a strong female and a stubborn male this is a great book for you. I loved the relationship between Ember and Pierce. The two always have something going on whether it be telling you something from the past or something in the present. I couldn’t put the book down.

Pierce left his hometown and his girl behind because he felt that he wasn't good enough. Now he has returned, and Ember won't give him the time of day. Will he land his woman and save her land in one swoop. This charming story had me cheering for Pierce and Ember to get their chance for happiness.

Ember and Pierce are no strangers, they were once lovers, and somehow drifted away. This book goes into how they led their lives and got back together in the same place where their love was thriving. Assumptions and miscommunication go a long way but true conversations and the willingness to listen to each other makes this a great book to read.
I read a lot of “billionaire” romances and I really enjoyed CLAIMED BY MY BILLIONAIRE because it was refreshingly different. The second chance aspect of the romance was the real draw for me. They pined for one another for 8 years. She’s mad he left. Only he knows why he left. Her life is still on a failing ranch. His is in NYC as a multi-billionaire business mogul.
I was glad have a chance to read an early copy of the book and my honest opinion is that it is easy to read, refreshing, and a very good romance.
