Soulfully Beautiful Love Stories Busy writing your next book boyfriend!
USA Today Bestselling author Emmanuelle Snow is a contemporary author of mature YA and New Adult love stories, who likes to give life to strong characters who’ll fight with all they have to reach their life goals and find their own happiness.
Emmanuelle is in love with love. Especially those complicated, deep, and passionate feelings that make a relationship extraordinary and complex, all at the same time.
She likes her characters to be believable and relatable! And her stories laced with raw emotions.
Forevermore is the second book in the Heart Song duet and man, I absolutely loved it. This book is so heartwarming. So heartfelt. I absolutely loved it from start to finish.
I am so happy Emmanuelle rewrote Pink and Country. It works so much better as a duet. She turned it into an absolute masterpiece. Thank you, Emmanuelle, you truly nailed their story!
This book picks up right after Blindsided. Carter returns home and searches for April. Before they actually talk about what happened lust consumes them and they tear each other's clothes off. Later on they do talk and decide to give it another go. Without any labels. Just enjoy the moment. They let their passion fly free. And I just loved that with all my heart.
If I had only one chance to feel this beautiful and desired, I would enjoy every second of it, consequences be damned.
I love how growly, possessive and hot Carter his. How his eyes completely devour her time and time again. And how he claims her as his own even before he admits his feelings.
"Why didn't you wake me up?" His husky tone shot untamed desire between my legs, and I shivered. "You looked like you needed your sleep." "I don't wanna sleep if you're not in my arms, April."
Their banter flew off the pages and had me grinning like an idiot several times.
Fairy had turned her back on me, leaving me with an aching erection. I blinked. She had cock-blocked me. Fuck, she had. A large smile drew itself on my face.
I also loved whatever got thrown at them. They persevered. I love how the people around them see how they both flourish when they are together. Seeing them through other eyes just added so much to the story.
I just love how Dahlia and Travis added so many layers to their relationship. How they still matter, and aren't forgotten. And Jack's character arc was just top notch.
I also love the Benson's and how they played a huge part in April's life, in the past and the present. Maybe redemption isn't the right word, but it felt like that. It was a beautiful story woven throughout this amazing book.
But then something happens and things derail.
"April, don't go." His voice sounded like a plea. "Please. Stay and we'll figure this out. Together. I'm dying here. I won't survive losing you."
Oh my heart. I just felt every emotion that both April and Carter felt. I just love this duet to pieces. It ripped me apart and healed me at the same time.
If you haven't read it yet. Then please pick it up! It is so good!
5 huge stars from me for this absolute beauty of a book!
This was the perfect HEA for our couple April and Carter. So many things came to light in this book. All your questions are answered about April’s past and Carter’s mental health (although we don’t get a diagnosis) it seemed like anxiety and panic attacks. He called them episodes and he would retreat and isolate and it was so relatable for me. I thought the mental health representation was done well and I felt Carter’s demons. April to is dealing with a lot emotionally after losing someone very important and these two are both scared to open their hearts again. But when they finally do it’s beautiful 😭I always love when we get an epilogue too and I was not disappointed. I look forward to reading more by this author in the future.
I read the original Pink and Country, the full-length, 500+ pages, before Emmanuelle re-edited, updated, and split into a duet - Blindsided, and Forever More (The Heartsong Duet). I will hold on dearly to my original, signed copy of Pink.
This book (this is the second half of the new duet), the writing, the updated version of the story, the edits to the characters - it’s absolutely incredible! While the first half was closer to the same as the original version, with the same beloved Carter and April I fell in love with and who brought me to the entire Carter Hills Band Universe of books (which I am completely obsessed with, plus with Emmanuelle herself), this have has gone through quite a noticeable overhaul with changes to emotionally charged sections, additions to scenes, and a whole new feeling. It definitely feels like a new version and I came out feeling more emotionally wrecked than after reading the original!
This is such a beautiful story (even more, now!), with Snow’s ever-expected awe-inspiring writing, and so much chemistry - between all of the characters, not just Carter and April. I get lost in this world, and I read it so quickly. The original book was over 500 pages, and the new split for the duet is far less intimidating at about 350 for each new half (yes, that doesn’t add up! Snow re-drafted the books and added to the text). Part 2 is the conclusion to Carter and April’s story and it picked up on a cliffhanger where book one cut off - I had to go back and read several chapters from the end of book one because it was quite a gap in between and I forgot what happened… it was an awkward breaking point without a reminder.
This half is filled with so many emotions, all of the heart (Emmanuelle has poured her whole heart and soul into this re-edited version), and all of the angst you could imagine. It’s perfect drama and all the feels without tearing your heart too far apart… just most of the way, before she puts us back together.
Everyone needs Emmanuelle Snow in their lives, and especially this, her first (re-imagined) book! If you haven’t read the original yet, you need to read this updated duet. If you’ve read Pink and Country, you *must* read the updated version! If you’ve only read her other books, you need to get on this one! If you’ve never read any - you’re missing out on a total gem of an author, and a person!!
I received an advance copy from the author, and this is my honest feedback.
Oh, man. No one writes emotional love stories like Emmanuelle Snow, and I'm here for it 100%.
This is bk2 of her HeartSong Duet - the first one being BlindSided. You will want to read that one first because this one picks up right where that one ended, and it just goes!
This book has so much for your heart to deal with. Of course, Carter and April's love story is emotional, but it's also full of angst and heartbreak. Intense passion and sacrifice. It has all the feels you want a love story to have, when two people who couldn't be further apart just happen to fit so perfectly together.
I loved how Carter and April laid out their traumatic pasts, being vulnerable, and by doing so, they were able to finally lay them to rest and then be able to appreciate so much more, how that pain and hurt was able to forge this new love that they were wanting to share. There was no judgment or shame, just acceptance and healing.
Their realization—that their current, totally opposite lives , with all the differences, was beautiful and uniquely theirs! It showed just how deep their connection was and that embracing the uniqueness of their love was what made it truly special.
There were moments of uncertainty in this book that kept me turning each page. The tension between Carter & April's love and the obstacles that were thrown in their way had this push-pull effect on my heartstrings. I knew that this was going to be a HEA, but for just a moment, I had this little doubt. There were a couple of instances where I wasn't sure they would pull it off. However, I should have known that a writer like Emmanuelle knows how to weave a captivating story and deliver that beautiful ending that makes everything worth it in the end no matter how hard the journey to get there.
I loved this book and big love to Emmanuelle for my ARC copy!
Before I start my review, I must say you need to read BlindSided first since this is a duet. ForeverMore takes us on a journey with April and Carter. The two couldn’t be more different but somehow, they fit. The connection and passion are unmatched. April is not sure how she can cope with his career, being in the spotlight all the time. She loves her quiet time and being “anonymous”.
Carter’s life has him questioning everything he knows. But being with April shows him that he too deserves happiness. And he’s determined to find it in her arms. Carter’s past has set out to make that difficult but figuring out that they are stronger together might be the biggest challenge for our lovebirds. But the life they envisioned is there for the taking and they won’t let anything or anyone stand in their way.
I’ve been reading Emmanuelle Snow since her first book and I read this story when she published it the first time (Pink and Country) and I was just engrossed now as I was then. If there’s one thing Emmanuelle is good at is the rollercoaster she puts her readers through. You experience all the emotions known to man and thankfully come out smiling on the other side.
This is book three in The Carter Hills Band series and it continues Carter and April’s story and it is definitely a must read but remember that you need to read book two first because this is not a standalone book. Carter and April have chemistry and connection that is so strong that it is unable to be denied but with so much baggage, loss, trust issues, insecurities and there pasts will they be able to whether the storm and move forward especially as they are both struggling with life and everything that life throws at them but they have something so special that even though there lives couldn’t be any more different and because April is only there for a short amount of time and likes a quiet life and Carter is in the spotlight all the time which will make everything between them chaotic and so complicated but will they be able to survive and become stronger together as a team and couple or are they both destined for a lot of heartbreak which will eventually tear them apart. Wow this book will take you on a rollercoaster ride of emotions that will have you turning the pages because you are unable to put it down as it is so addictive. Emmanuelle Snow is an amazing author and writer and she certainly knows how to keep her readers attention throughout while reading her books and I look forward to reading more of her books in the future.
All. The. Freaking. Stars!!! Que all the happy tears!!!
Carter and April are the definition of love. When I think back on all the many many romances I've read to date, they're the couple that comes to my mind first. They have a chokehold on my heart! They live rent-free in my head.
It's no secret that their love story is heartbreaking, beautiful, and intense. Their passion for one another exceeds all expectations. Carter is a dreamboat. They both have trauma in their past, but they recognize the work that needs to be done to be together. The journey getting their wasn't easy. It was full of twists and turns. It's how they got there that made the journey worth it.
When Emmanuelle first announced a full re-publishing complete with edits/revisions of this Carter Hills Band series, I was like, nooooo, it's perfect the way it is, boy was I ever wrong. The three books that came from that re-publishing were the full story, the bigger picture, and be still my heart-all the spice that I didn't know I needed. I didn't know how Emmanuelle could make the series better from the first book, Pink Country. I get it now, and honestly, I love it!! Thank you, Emmanuelle, for giving us a more in-depth look into Carter and April's lives.
Thank you to Emmanuelle and SMART Lily Publishing for this ARC! All thoughts and opinions are my own!
ForeverMore began exactly where Blind Sided ended and hits the ground running full steam ahead. And not just steam, but so much spice!
My heart was broken time and time again in this book as the characters divulge more of their tragic pasts and they navigate their uncertain future. The whirlwind of quickly falling for each other comes out with cracks that need filled - no matter how painful - so that these two can find the happily ever after I was desperately rooting for.
But with the pain and tears shed, there is so much beauty. Carter’s sweet, reassuring words are heart melting. The love these two have for each other drips from the pages.
And for the readers looking for spice - here it is!! Hot, steamy, spicy, everywhere, can’t keep their hands to themselves spice.
The HEA (because we all know it’s coming!) is just gorgeous. The epilogue soothed my soul, too!
Emmanuelle Snow’s slogan is Soulfully Beautiful Love Stories and this reader says she tells no lies. I feel this book in my soul and even through some of the heartache this book produced, it was beautiful and full of love and I adored it.
Tropes: -enemies to friends to lovers -grumpy x sunshine -he falls first -found family -small town -author x country music star -mental health rep -second chances at love -dark side of fame and fortune
"Fall as hard as you wish, Fairy, I'll always catch you when you do. And then we'll fall together again."
ForeverMore is a continuation of April and Carter's story. This is the second part to the Heart Song duet.
The passion they share for one another is on another level. They have quite the journey to go through with both having pasts full of baggage and insecurities. Carter is always in the spotlight, while April prefers her life to be quiet, which makes for them having to decide can they weather this together or will this lead to heartbreak?
This book will take you on an emotional rollercoaster and have you feeling all the feelings. I recommend reading book one in the duet, BlindSided, as this is not a standalone.
Releasing June 20, 2024. I receicved an ARC copy in exchange for an honest review.
Here we are! The second half of Carter and April’s love story! I was so glad to have this in my hands after the cliffhanger that Blindsided left us with.
We pick up right where we left off in their story, with them deciding to finally give their relationship a shot. And WOW was the chemistry electric. I did find that the book was a bit unbalanced with the smut scenes, going heavy for a while then we would have a long gap with the more emotional parts of the story, but I enjoyed it all nonetheless.
I really appreciated working through not only April’s emotional turmoil with the losses she has had and the situation at the climax of the book, but more representation of Carter’s mental health. You can tell he has anxiety and panic attacks, but a formal diagnosis isn’t mentioned. You could tell these characters really went through it both apart and together.
This was a great duet if you enjoy a love story that has all the ups and downs of a relationship (plus the craziness that is dating a big music star).
Thank you to the author for the advance copy, all thoughts are my own!
ForeverMore is the 3rd installment of the revised Carter Hills Band series. You must read book #2 Blindsided BEFORE you read this book. I did not read the first version of this series, so it was all new to me so I cannot say how it compares to the original, but what I can say is that I loved these two books! They are so angsty and heartbreaking. You feel like you are on a runaway roller coaster. Both Carter and April have had traumatic events in their lives and suffered losses. The mental health rep in this book was written so well with both of the characters having emotional baggage, insecurity, anxiety and trust issues. The roller coaster ride that you are on does have a happily ever after, but my goodness, the feelings you go through to get there makes for one heck of a ride. Blindsided and Forevermore will definitely be a comfort series for me to come back to when I am in the mood for angst.
So many emotions! The conclusion to the Heart Song duet did not disappoint. I was on a rollercoaster ride of feelings, emotions, tears, all of the above, but did not want to get off.
There are so many factors trying to keep this couple apart, his past being a huge obstacle, and they are left deciding if their love is worth it. I am a sucker for a beautiful ending to a hard fought HEA when both the MMC and FMC realize the fight is indeed worth it. April and Carter are the definition of opposites attract, but I think that's what makes their love so much stronger. When you find your person, you will move heaven and earth to be with them.
The spice in this one...whooo weeee!!!! Grab a fan, you're gonna need it.
I absolutely loved the conclusion to Carter and Aprils story. It was everything I wanted for them and more.
This is the exciting conclusion to the Heart Song duet. We go along for April and Carters story and this book was not only heartfelt but also full of heat and spice. But also you will need tissues as you read this conclusion. These two will face obstacles that might even break them. They might even think is this fight they keep doing actually worth it? The thing that especially Carter that most of all the past comes back. With this we get to see if April can handle the spotlight that comes with her being with Carter. And Carter can he show April that they are stronger together to fight the past that tries to disrupt their happiness? This book has plenty of steam and spice and who knows maybe a beautiful ending these two should have. So sit back and read this authors beautiful ending to Carter and April’s story.
Heat, spice and just enough nice. That is how I would describe this book. If you fell in love with April and Carter in the first installment, you will definitely like this one as well. For the lovers of 50 Shades, this will be the kind of book you devour in one sitting. Think of this as a softer and more romantic version.
You can't not love Carter. There is something about his character that pulls you in and the fact that he is a singer who can dedicate a song to his love just makes him that much more swoon worthy. You will be rooting for April for the entire story. Savannah will be the character you love to hate. Plenty of drama and the dial is definitely turned up on the heat in this one! This is the beautiful conclusion to April and Carter's love story and it does not disappoint!
I’ve read the first version and I absolutely loved it. Ever since I’ve read, my brain would sometimes just randomly go “Hey, remember that one book?”. When I learned that the author was rewriting it, I immediately signed up as a beta reader. My mind was blown🤯. If I thought the first version was good, then this was a masterpiece. She has improved so much since 3 years ago and it shows. The writing is much clearer, the characters are more well developed and the plot is even more interesting. It would normally take me about 3-4 days to read a book this size (at my reading speed), but I was so invested in the story that I pulled an all-nighter and ended up reading it in less than 2. Would definitely recommend. 💜💜💜
Well this book starts with a BANG - quite literally! ;-)
I absolutely loved the continuation of Carter and Aprils story. I was sucked in from the very first moment and devoured it. I liked that there was very little angst here but you really felt for both characters and what they have been through in their lives. This quote absolutely broke my heart:
"You'll always have me, April. In your heart. I'll forever be there. It doesn't sound like much right now, but someday you'll understand we were only meant to pass through each other's lives. I'm not your happily ever after. But you're mine."
I typically don't enjoy books where one or either of the main characters professes to love someone else but the author absolutely nailed it in in this one for both April and Carter!
OMG!! I couldn’t love April and Carter more than I do after reading this conclusion to their beautiful love story.
They continue to take us on a whirlwind journey filled with emotional turmoil, heartache, forgiveness, passion and an all-consuming love between two phenomenal characters.
April and Carter had me giggling with them over their incredible connection and amazing banter and swooning over how perfect they were together. But they also had me crying over some of the hurdles they needed to overcome to get to their incredible happy ending.
Their story was EVERYTHING I could have hoped for and a whole lot more. Truly a beautiful, sweet and outstanding conclusion to a phenomenal love story.
This conclusion to the duet had my heart. It has definitely been a long and tumorous road for April and Carter. They have had to fight against the odds for their love. Yet, it is well worth it. The way that Emmanuelle penned April and Carter's story had me from the beginning. I was cheering for them the whole time.
In this book, we see April and Carter's relationship evolve. They both have choices to make in regard to if they are really going to stick it out. Don't say that past baggage won't affect you. It can and will for some time. That is what these two have to work through. The ending makes it all worth the battle.
With this second part we must immediately say that you can't help but love Carter. There is something about him in his character that attracts you and never lets you go then let's also say that he is a singer who dedicates a song to his love, he literally makes you melt or faint from how unique and rare he is. I was rooting for April throughout the entire story while I hate Savannah's character. There is a lot of drama but authentic drama that doesn't allow you to put the book down and you wish you were inside the book. This is the wonderful conclusion to the love story between April and Carter. You won't be disappointed at all. Rating 5 ⭐
April Simmons now not so much struggling with her writing but more the matters of her own heart, the story picks up where Blindsided ended . Carters heart is not so broken with April by his side, but still dealing with trauma from his past.
We see the struggles that comes with fame, background noise trying to tear them apart and a secret Carter holds that could change everything. Through all this, their connection is undeniable magic, if only their little bubble on the mountain, locked away from the world that just keeps trying to break them, could remain in one piece!
We get all the lovable side characters from book 1, they're all there in Carter and Aprils corner. Thank You Emmanuelle for a fantastic c0nclusion to Carter and April's story, I truly loved reading both of these, and thank for the opportunity in reading them as ARC's !
Oh my! The conclusion to April and Carter's love story is spectacular! Emmanuelle Snow hits that high note with this story! I read Pink & Country last year, but got just as much enjoyment out of BlindSided and ForeverMore as the original.
Carter and April both have issues to work through, and mental health is a strong focus of this book and series. Be sure to check your triggers, because some moments are intense, but the story is so much more meaningful for it.
This is one of my best reads this year!! I highly recommend this book!
Picking up right where Blindsided left us, we continue April and Carter’s story and it is just as emotionally beautiful. While both are left with so many thoughts and questions about how different their lives are, they continue fighting all these emotions, pasts, insecurities and it keeps you guessing if it’s possible for things to work. Emotionally charged this book was perfect for Carter and April’s story and it had me in tears and smiling when it was all said and done.
WOW. This book was everything I didn’t realise that I needed. Carter and April might just be my new favourite couple, I really didn’t think their story could go any further but I was WRONG. I cried from heartache, I laughed out loud, I cried with happiness, I was well and truly in my feels. You can feel the raw emotion and the connections within the book, this is one of my favourite reads of 2024 so far!
This was a beautiful conclusion to April and Carter’s story. The way they worked through their past traumas together was really heartwarming and the HEA at the end was a wonderful payoff after experiencing all the ups and downs with these two complex and interesting characters. Thank you to Emmanuelle Snow and The Author Agency for the ARC of this story.
This is the final part of April and Carter's story. They find themselves in many obstacles to try and keep their love story together. I don't usually like rock star stories but I fell in love with the first book and continued on to the second. I am so glad I did because the story was so much more than a Rock star romance.
This truly was a wonderful wrap up for April and Carter's story! It was everything I could have hoped for, and then some. I truly loved the original version of April and Carter's story, and this newly edited version has absolutely stolen my heart. It's so good, and I never wanted it to end. I love these character so much.
This was a cute story. I was definitely taken on an emotional roller coaster. I enjoyed the spice and banter and the chemistry Carter and April had. This story makes you feel all the feels with the characters and you go through the motions with them. It’s incredible how the author makes that happen.
I recommend reading Blindsided before starting this book! 🫶🏼
What a beautiful HEA for Carter and April! Their story really pulls at the heartstrings! Definitely have the tissues ready! And it’s spicy! What more can you ask for? These characters have amazing chemistry, grat banter that had me chuckling quite a bit! Emmanuelle Snow did a phenomenal job on this series ❤️
Carter & April part 2 This was emotional, steamy, cathartic & gritty all wrapped up into the conclusion of April & Carters' relationship. You need to have read Blindsided as this picks up directly from its cliffhanger. There are multiple layers, characters and issues all interwoven into this book, more than the first I think.
