Dannie Brookes doesn’t want to fall in love. Too bad her tall, dark and handsome boss, Walker Reed, hasn’t got the memo.
Six months pregnant isn’t an ideal time to start a relationship, but Walker doesn’t care. He wants to sweep her off her feet and she’s having a hard time fighting him after all this time.
Can Dannie and Walker finally admit how they feel, even as lies unravel and the past catches up to both of them?
Kennie Mae Evvie was born and raised in California and has a degree in music. She learned how to tell stories through music and quickly fell in love with the power of words. She currently resides in Arizona where she spends most of her time playing with her nieces and nephews, baking cakes, playing music, and dreaming of fictional men. Shh! Don't tell her husband!
LOOOOOOVED this book!!! I wasn’t sure if I’d be able to like it as much as Find a Penny, but I might have loved it even more! Walker is amazing, and Dannie is incredibly frustrating, but the attraction and character development progresses so well. And then the PLOT TWIST!!!! I could not get over it. Once I got to that part, I couldn’t put the book down. Do yourself a favor and read everything Kennie Mae Evvie writes. I can’t wait for the next book in the series. 🤗
THIS 😍 I love the character development and the dual POV was sooooo good. I love the chemistry between the characters and the way I couldn’t put it down. It’s my favorite kind of book and I LOVED it! I am ready for number three 🙌🏻
I absolutely loved this book!!! If I didn’t have kids and responsibilities I would have 100% read this in one sitting. I ended up reading it in two because I didn’t want to put it down. The chapters are short and the story draws you in which made it really easy to keep saying “just one more chapter” even though it’s way too late and you should definitely be asleep.
You meet Dannie and Walker in the first book but don’t get a lot of their story so it was really fun to get a whole book dedicated to them. THE TWIST?! I didn’t see it coming at all and it was sooooo good!! This book was a little more emotional than I typically read but I was so invested that I didn’t mind.

*I received an arc of this in exchange for an honest review.
Kennie Mae Evvie did it again! I couldn’t put it down. The dual point of view is so good and makes it impossible not to love these main characters. And just wait for the twist you don’t see coming! 10/10 recommend.
