Cora has been running from her past, her heritage, and her magic for the last fifteen years. Being shunned from her coven for living a life that didn't conform to their standards was exactly how she wanted things. Traveling the country in her little silver camper and changing her scenery as often as she wanted had become comfortable. Comfortable and safe. She didn't want to be part of a society that valued women for nothing more than the strength of their wombs and what magical traits they could bring to the table. Cora denounced her magic, her family, her coven, everyone except her cousin. But Rory means more to Cora than anyone knows. When her cousin reaches out for help, Cora can't say no, and that one decision starts a chain reaction that leaves Cora grappling for her footing and facing the past she ran from so long ago. The Stonebrook Pack has accepted her, but she knows they won't be so understanding when they find out the secrets she's kept hidden all these years.
Remy knew from a young age that the only mate he wanted was a true one. He wanted the love and the companionship that his parents had, that his Alpha had, and he would settle for nothing less. But a desperate man changed all of that for him when he forced Remy to mate his daughter. Instead of facing his mistakes, he ran from them becoming a traitor in the eyes of his pack. When his real mate falls into his life at the same time his past comes back to haunt him, Remy must return to the pack he was raised in and the mate that he abandoned.
I highly encourage you to read Hidden Alpha and Hidden Mate first. With that being said, Jessy has absolutely amazed me with book 3, Hidden Traitor. To watch the world she has created continue to grow and the story unfold has truly been incredible. She took Hidden Traitor to so many new levels and I am extremely proud of her.
If you like: Curvy FMCs Badașs FMCs Found family Fated Mates Touch him/her and dïe Witches/magic And of course Wolf shifters
Then this is absolutely for you!
I cannot wait to see where this series goes and I’m already wanting the next book!!!
Cora is running from her past and feels like she has finally found a home. Until she finds her Fated Mate already has a mate. Running is what she's good at, but does she run away or run to him?!
Remy finally knows where his heart belongs. To her. His favorite witchy wolf. But his past comes back to haunt him as the family of the mate he never wanted shows back up to take him home. Does he stay or does he go and fix it?
This story is one of love, loss and finding out who they are. Together, do they find each other or do they find their separate ways?!
Oh and just a little warning... ITS A CLIFFHANGER.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR: The author I found just mere months ago, has, exploded in the depth of writing this story. And it shows with the emotions that I feel in her characters and how easy it is to put myself into their place... And become part of their story .
This book was so good! I suggest reading the first two.
This book had so much tension & chemistry, I LOVED IT.🥵🤌🏻 I also loved that it had it all.. Fated mates, wolf shifters, bear shifters, witches, & spice🖤😏🔥
I loved this world, the storyline was 👌🏻👌🏻🤌🏻 The characters were amazing, I absolutely loved everything about this book.
Remy & Cora’s story 😮💨🥹🤍 Cora is freaking amazing she’s really strong and isn’t afraid to speak her mind also really sassy. Remy is someone trying to correct past mistakes.
I also loved Cora because her touch my man and 💀💀 vibes.
This book starts off with action! So good. Also found my favorite line already lol 😅 just in the first chapter. Also spice in chapter 1 🫠🫠🫠
Oh my goodness! Jessy has my emotions all over the place while I was reading the book. So many times I laughed, wanted to cry, was yelling with excitement and frustration. This book had me, I can’t get over it! The way she wrote this story, the plot, the characters. It was sooo good!!!! That ending has me! I’m ☠️🪦, I physically and mentally can’t get over it. I need book 4 now! I honestly believe this book tops the other two. Hidden mate was my most favorite and now it’s hidden traitor. I love the new characters and the growing of old characters. It was a perfect mix. Jessy did a fantastic job, she deserves an award 🥇 for this book. There is not a lot of spice in this book, but i don’t care, this book kept me addicted. I love me some fated mates and werewolves! Check out this book! It’s a must read!!!
Jessy! You have done it again! I absolutely adore this book, I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. The book was so well written, the characters development was on point, the plot kept me guessing! The spice was sooo spicy! 🌶️🌶️🌶️ Cora is my spirit animal, I loved her wit and sass! How she thought she always had to run but found her inner strength was soo perfect! And her mate Remy the sexy man with secrets that could hurt his sassy mate.. oh I wanted to throat punch him for a minute😅 I love this book so very much! 5 star read for me for sure.. ❤️🐺
This was an enjoyable shifter romance. I really enjoyed Beckett's writing and getting to know the characters! I thought there was a good balance between story and spice.
I didn't read the first two books, so I know I was missing some things, but I was still able to read the book and understand what was going on.
If you're looking for a good shifter romance, then you'll enjoy this one! And I will definitely continue with this series because I'd really like to spend more time with other characters.
(I received this book for free from the author and am voluntarily leaving this review.)
I am hooked. I cannot wait to contidown this amazing path Jesdy has created. I love how relatable Cora is and such a badass. I am fully invested to find out more about all the characters. Not only is the storyline and plot fire (pun intended) but the spice keeps you intensely salivating that you cannot stop reading.
Hidden Traitor is book three of the Stonebrook Shifters series. I recommend reading the first two books in the series – Hidden Alpha (1) and Hidden Mate (2) – prior to this. In other words, it isn’t a standalone. Jessy has done amazing job with the world building and character details throughout this series. Tropes include: wolf shifters, witches, fated mates, touch her and d!e vibes, strong FMCs, possessive MMCs, and an HEA. If you’re interested in reading more about my rating scale and why I’m giving this book FIVE STARS and FOUR SPICE, please read on!
When I read, I am interested in the point of view (POV), the plot, and the spice. I prefer dual POV, I don’t want a predictable or bland plot, and I like my books HOT!
This story is told from third person, dual point of view, by the female main character (Cora) and male main character (Remy). Cora, while emotional at times, is a strong FMC. Remy really is her prefect match with his kind heart and fierce determination.
The is a fast-paced love story filled with action and plot-twists. At no point did I find the plot to be predictable. Jessy always manages to surprise me! I’m not providing a plot summary – I only do that if I feel the blurb is lacking – and this one is point. For the third time, this book ended on a cliffhanger in order to set the scene for the next couple’s story. I can’t wait for book four!!!
I’m giving this a 4/5 on the spice scale. The spice correlated appropriately to the plot (which was fantastic) and it was well-written. The spice was spicin!
If you haven't read the first two Stonebrook Shifter books then go read them now!
Remy, Remy, Remy... man, do I have a love/hate relationship with this fictional man. Cora has had a rough life of always being she wasn't good enough. So, when Remy confessed, after marking her, that he had another mate. This devastated Cora and she refused to interact with him as much as possible knowing he has to go back to his prior pack to see his mate. This is a betrayal that she cannot forgive even if he is her fated mate.
As always, Jessy comes through with the strong badass FMC with Cora. She is the perfect addition to Lu's pack of misfits. I love getting lost in this group of found family and their romances. The plot is incredible and keeps you on the edge of their seat. Be prepared for heartbreak but this truly a redemption tale. A slowing burn but sizzling chemistry between Cora and Remy.
This has by far become my favorite Shifter series! I absolutely love this pack and their love for one another. The women truly support one another. Lifting each other up or kicking them in the ass to knock some sense into one another as needed.
All I can say is the more books I read the more I want. Each new book makes me want another persons story. I fell in love with this story from the very beginning. Cora and Remy had already been through a lot together there seemed to be a lot of things in their way. I was pushing the whole time for them to figure things out I wanted their happy ending more than anything. I loved all the new people to show up in this story there are so many things happening and I love it. The only problem now is I need a lot more books to explain all the story lines. Cora is a strong curvy tough woman and any normal woman could put themselves in her shoes. That’s what I love about all Jessy FMC they are so realistic. I loved watching Cora grow into her magic and make all these new friends in and out of her pack. I also love that the story of the rest of the characters we already read about continue on in each story . Im not going to give away to much of this story because trust me you need to read all 3 books and I hate spoilers. I’m here for all the things give me all the books.
I loved this one. These just keep getting better and better as they go. The plot keeps getting stronger along with the characters.
Remy is so selfless he worries about everyone he loves and he has been put into some sucky situations! Which others really just need to listen to him!
Cora she is strong and coming into who she’s meant to be. Her character is hard for me at times bc she runs so much! And always thinks the worst. I get it’s the way her life has been but it got annoying at points. I did however like her growth with Matt and other characters.
I almost knocked the story a 1/2 ⭐️ bc I didn’t like how the author betrayed Rory in this book. She seen as the strongest witch Jude wanted as he’s mate. But she still isn’t using her strength to that level.
These books are definitely about powerful women that have powerful men that support them and lead with them. These women don’t set on the sidelines they are all in. So if you’re looking for strong women and OTT alpha males these books are it.
Side note read them in order or you won’t understand!
Hidden Traitor was the first book I have read by Jessy Beckett and I am hooked!
The story "starts" with Cora and Remy locked away together. Remy knows Cora is his fated mate and wants to save her so he gives her his bite. This changes Cora to a shifter-witch hybrid. Once the prologue is over we flash forward a little bit where we find out that Remy is holding a secret. A secret so big that it is tearing Cora apart, and keeping Remy with his old pack.
Cora & Remy's love story is full of angst and groveling. I love it!!
I would highly recommed reading the first two books in the series first just to maintain the story line. If you enjoy books that have: Curvy FMCs Badass FMCs Found family Fated Mates Touch him/her and die Witches/magic then snatch up this series!!!
I was given Hidden Traitor by Jessy Beckett in exchange for an honest review <3
I absolutely loved this book! Cora and Remy have to fight for their love in this book, and in doing so, they both go through immense growth that makes them stronger as individuals and as a couple. Outside of their romance, I love the female friendship between the women in this book! They all support each other and have each other’s backs. I also loved their sense of humour and personalities. Cora, Remy and the rest of the Stonebrook pack still have enemies and injustices they are fighting against. So much happens in this book that I do not want to spoil, so I will say this: if you like a paranormal romance with found family, action-packed storylines, serious spice, humour, supportive female friendships, mystery and love, then you need to read this book and this series! The author Jessy Beckett has created a wonderful world with the Stonebrook Shifters filled with unforgettable characters that you will be immersed in and you won’t want the story to end!
HIGHLY - cannot say highly enough - recommend you read this book & series.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
Stonebrook Shifters has become part of my existence. The latest installment - Hidden Traitor has absolutely blown it out of the water!!
I absolutely love falling in love with these wolves and their witch wolf mates - Remy and Cora has become the newest power couple and added to the list of reasons I love this series.
So much tension and chemistry!!! Longing and determination to have their happy ever after. Of course there had to be an evil villain or two in the works - nothing is ever easy in Stonebrook!! I loved every second! And I can’t wait to continue this story…
Tropes: Fated mates Found Family Touch her and die (oh and you most certainly will) Touch him and die (as above) Badass FMC’s Wolf Shifters Bear Shifters Witches and magic
Jessy Beckett has thought of it all and brought it all full circle in the most perfect way!!
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Hidden Traitor is the third book in this series, and they just keep getting better and better!
This one is centered around Remy and Cora but I loved that we got to see some of the other couples that we haven’t had books for yet. It opens up avenues for so many other stories!
I love Remy and Cora’s relationship and Remy’s dominate side🥵 This one spends more time with the couple separated but it makes the reunion that much sweeter. The plot twist really took me by surprise and makes me want the 4th book now! I’ve got to know what happens next, because that last line😱😱
I’m really excited to learn more about Conner and Raina’s relationship and to finally figure out what is going on with Nate as well as Lu, Conner, Rory, and Cora’s powers.
Hidden Traitor is the 3rd book in this series. I have loved each book more and more in this series. This book revolves around Cora and Remy. Cora , a witch , is in a whirlwind of emotions when she learns about Remy's secret past. Remy ,a wolf shifter, is at odds with himself and tries to do the right thing by everyone, but not himself. As the past catches up with Remy , they will have to come to terms with the choices he made in his previous pack. Will their relationship survive all the secrets? Overall, I enjoyed this book and I can definitely see an improvement in writing and development of plot. This was another quick read for me. Some of it is predictable , but still enjoyed reading about the Stonebrook shifters. I am definitely excited to see what happens in the next book in the Stonebrook Pack. Character Development:4/5 Plot:4/5 Spice: 3/5

The third book in this series did not disappoint. Last book we were introduced to Cora alongside her cousin Rory and along with that the revelation that Remy and Cora are mates. Unfortunately Cora is a runner, thats how shes handled her life and conflict but a mate bond, a pack and a family that truly loves her is something worth fighting for. I have long since fallen in love with this series from the giant hulking, tattooed wolf shifters to the strong willed women they love. Witches, shifters and men and women alike choosing to take a stand against the injustice they were born in to and save others from the same fate is a beautiful thing and I for one look forward to continuing this journey of the Stonebrook pack.
I am so happy to be back in the Stonebrook Shifter world!!! If you haven't read Hidden Alpha and Hidden Mate - I recommend you do so before reading Hidden Traitor. Hidden Traitor picks right up where book 2 ends ;)
If you love shifters, witches, fated mates, found family and badass curvy FMC who really come into their own - THIS IS THE SERIES YOU WANT TO READ!!
Cora & Remy have already been through it - and just when you think they are gonna get to ease into it - a decision from Remy's past almost destroys them before they even get started. But the growth they go through - oh man it makes them stronger. Cora isn't a weak witch anymore - you mess with her man, watch yourself coz my girl has powers and she's not afraid to use them. I love it when the FMC brings the "touch HIM and ☠️" vibes and Cora rocks it.
And I mean - the epilogue 😲 I need the next book STAT!!!!
I will make a disclaimer and say that I read this without reading either of the first two books in the Stonebrook Shifters series, it left me confused a few times. I will be reading the first two as I hope it will give some character clarity.
Right, review time! Okay, so straight off the bat, chapter one you get a smoking hot love making scene 🥵 Cora and Remy have got that connection 👌 and Remy's dirty talk, oh my 😜
Jessy's writing is quality, especially when it came to the action scenes. I love the emphasis on badass female characters. One line that really got me was: "If you're too much for someone, they aren't enough for you" such powerful words.
Gotta do some catch up reading because I can't wait for the next book...Matt and Ren?
I really don't know where to start. How can you put a book this great in words? I have read a lot of books with shifters and none of them hold a candle to this one or any of the books in this series. The more I read the more I want to know about where, what, who and when. It amazes me how Jessy comes up with all the characters and you can't help but to fall in love with them. One thing about this is to be ready for a mouth dropping ending. I highly, highly recommend everyone to read Hidden Traitor but you will need to read the other two first so you won't be lost. I can't wait to see what is coming in the next book.
I read Hidden Alpha and just thought it was ok, skipped the second book, and this third one was better than the first. I know I missed some context from the second but I got the jist of it pretty easily.
The central couple in this one was so good. I loved Remy - the dirty talk, his relationship with his mom, loyalty to Cora. All on point.
This book was action PACKED and very fast moving, sometimes a little hard to track everything that was happening and all the players involved. A weird complaint but having a Ren, Remy, and Rory all in a single book made it confusing. I really had to slow down and remind myself of who was who. Just took some of the enjoyment out of it.
I received this book as an arc and am providing my honest review voluntarily.
This is book 3 of the series and when I received it I had not read the first 2 books. I was able to quickly read the books before starting this one. Through the series you can see how the writer has improved. This is a great quick read that gives you a story, spice, action, and definitely leaves you wanting more in a good way. While I had learned of the characters throughout the series, since there are so many, at times it took me a second to remember who all of the side characters were. Other than that I really enjoyed the story and can't wait for the next one.
You're supposed to read Hidden Alpha and Hidden Mate first, but I didn't and it was seamless. The lone witch and wolf are a steamy pair and the storyline is solid. I even think I could backtrack and read one and two right now and not have three ruin those storylines.
The paranormal aspect is witches and wolf shifters against warlocks and bear shifters. One group wants to control all aspects of their lives while the others fight for freedom.
If you want a balance between steam and storyline, this one fits the bill. And when I say steam...I mean steam. :-)
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this honest review voluntarily.
My Thoughts I loved the growth of the main characters and the story line is very strong and it fills in questions not only about the main characters but also the side characters. Cora is very strong in how she handles herself and is not afraid to say what is on her mind. Remy has an understanding of wanting to do the right thing but also a need for what his heart is wanting. I definitely loved this dynamic and the passion and drive they had for each other. I was overwhelmed and shocked at the ending 😉 I can't wait for the next book
Jessy Beckett has done it again! I thought I loved Lu and Rory's stories, but then I got hit with Cora and Remy's! It was hot, hot, hot in all the best ways. Cora is madly in love with her mate, Remy. There is only one problem: he has already marked another. When he is torn literally away from Cora, will the two be able to survive? Full of action, romance, and the rise of new and old enemies, the Stonebrook pack can't seem to catch a break. I am already counting down the days till book 4 comes out!
Unbeknownst to me, I started this book without reading the first two in the series. I can say that I definitely missed some of the story line in the beginning where things weren't coming together like I thought they would. But by the middle/end I understood and it was fine. I liked this book. Loved the idea of it. It didnt engage me as much as I anticipate. Much of that was due to my lack of doing my homework and picking up a book in the middle of the series, so that's on me. I in no way blame the author for my lack of focus on this one. I do think that if you are into shapeshifters with a spicy twist you will love this book. Will be recommending this one for sure.
I love how this book just picks up immediately after the second one. We get to hear Remy's and Cora's story. We get to know Remy's past and meet his family. While Cora gets used to her new life and pack. they have their struggles but they work hard and manage to find their way through alternative methods. Not only do they build their bond but they help save so many others. I love how they got to know each other and how we got to meet new character's along the way. I cant wait to see what Jessy has for us next!
I was given this as a ARC reading and I'm volunteering my review.
This was the first book I read in the series but I would recommend starting from first 2.
The book had so much chemistry and tension, enjoyed it soooo much.spice fated mates, bear shifters, wolf shifters witches.
Storyline was 👌 and characters was awesome . CORA is a strong character she is amazing not scared to speak her mind 😜 and the touch my man and your dead situation.
Remy wants to rectify past miss steps .
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶🌶🌶🌶
Jessy managed to surprise me and kept me captivated.
Wow, I'm thrilled and I really enjoyed the book so much, and you will totally get why! The way Jessy crafted the characters and plot will keep you hooked from start to finish. Like it did me. Cora's journey to finding her inner strength resonated with you, and Remy's mysterious allure added that extra spice. It like a definite 5-star read, with characters you can't help but love (and sometimes want to throat punch)! 🌟❤️🐺
