In 1865, poet William Ross Wallace wrote, The hand that rocks the cradle is the hand that rules the world. Jochebed, the mother of Moses, has taught us there is not a more powerful influence in the life of a child greater than its mother.
The world’s faceless voices try to make us believe the generational lie that being domestic and fulfilling your God-ordained role will enslave you. While they talk, they hold the scissors behind their back, on their way to cut the apron strings of the mother.
God has anointed mothers with the privilege to bring forth life and the power to turn around and influence that life to become one of heaven’s greatest allies and hell’s greatest enemies.
For generations there have been Jochebeds who have challenged the agenda of hell as they trained and taught their children how to stand against the world’s system while holding to the truths of God’s Word. Go, become your generation’s Jochebed.
This is one of the best books I've read on motherhood. Kim Haney does an excellent job giving scriptures and real life examples on ways to be a Godly mother and example to your children. Each chapter was encouraging to me and inspired me to teach my children about God, how to show my children by example how they should walk with the Lord. Motherhood is hard and she doesn't discount that but she gives fresh insight into our responsibility as mothers to teach our children to know the Lord. This book inspires me to be a better mother because my labor of love for the Lord is never in vain.
