DaveI’m addicted to the hard exterior shell and the opalescent, moist succulent jewel that lies beneath the surface. Touching them, holding them, feeling them in my fingers-it’s my happy place. I’m the most calm when my feet are six inches deep in the mucky bay, sea water rocking up against my waders, talking to my bivalves. My brothers say I’m married to my shells. I don’t disagree. They’re filled with a pleasure second to none. They don’t tell me what to do. Everyone loves them, well at least the people I want to spend time with do. And have I mentioned they’re saving the shoreline, hence the world? Each magnificent shell cleaning the water we all love. Never has there been a more perfect creature.
Tippy
I want to do something for Greensea. All on my own. Bringing Love at the Last Resort to Greensea will do just that because 1. Huge win. 2. The revenues it will bring to the paper will be substantial. I’ll be helping the family business in more ways than anyone can imagine. It’s the least I can do for my parents after what they’ve given me. I'm just not sure I can agree to what the show wants me to do.
What does Tippy's harebrained plan have to do with Dave? Find out in Fake Dates and Ferry Tales!

A quick read perfect for anchoring my season of life that is wrapping up the school year, processing heavy news of the world and wanting escapist lit.
Here’s the premise.
This is the third novel in the series which follows the love lives of four siblings in Greensea, a fictional island near Seattle. Ferry life is a character embedded into the novel. And the trope is fake dating/enemies to lovers.
In this book the town gossip Tipper, pitches the producers of a dating reality show to come to Greensea. But during her interview her childhood nuisance, Dave, shows up making faces at them all. The producers naturally think he must be her boyfriend and Tippy goes along with the idea.
She convinces Dave to not only pretend he’s dating Tip (he would never!), but to convince him to tell the entire small island as well!
The author keeps things light and closed door spice, but it is a sweet story perfect for a palette cleanse.
Julie does it again! I love coming home to Greensea in every book! These close for romcoms are such cozy feel good reads, plus the Greensea gossip column is top tier!
