Sage Loana Hale is a high-class supermodel with one of the top agencies in the world.
Liam Walker is a baseball player for the Yankees and happens to be the long-time rival of Sage’s brothers.
After his coach punishes Liam because of his out-of-control temper, he’s stuck being Sage’s photographer for a contest. Liam swore he would never go near his rivals' sister, but since meeting Sage, he just can’t get her out of his head. The only problem? Liam doesn’t do relationships and Sage said he doesn’t meet her standards. The only solution? A strictly friends-with-benefits agreement.
While Sage is climbing the social ladder, Liam discovers her unhealthy eating habits and makes it his personal mission to help her come to terms with her eating disorder, all while dealing with his sick mother.
Things start to get messy when their physical relationship turns emotional. Liam must decide whether to reveal the reason her brothers hate him and risk losing it all or keep lying to the girl he’s falling in love with.
What choice will he make? And how will the chips fall?
I just hate-read this book. I DNFed the first book of this series because it was too long & the male lead in the book was so unlikable. But I thought why not give this author a second chance & try out another one of her books. I can now confirm that both of her books are unnecessarily long. So much could have been cut out.
I was barley halfway through the book when I just got BORED & started skimming. She makes the characters extremely unlikable. I dont feel the romance between the two. Sage is immature & stupid. Hiding behind sunshine rainbows & fake smiles. She lets herself get railroaded by the people around her. Liam is just plain ole rude. To his friends, to his girlfriend and even to the damn nurse aid for his mother who has alzheimers. Like cmon.
There are also story details that are unbelievable. For example, what baseball player would ever spend a million dollars for a runway ticket to see someone they claim is not even their girlfriend.
KU had this book available to read early on 7/31 & I finished it 8/1. I am glad to be done with this.
Dnf – I just couldn’t get into it felt like the characters were 16 and then dude said he was 26 and it just irritated me. Maybe I’ll try again but def can’t do it right now.
After reading Without Fault, Liam Walker may be one of my top three book men. I am so happy to have had the privilege to read an ARC of this story.
The grumpy x sunshine trope did NOT disappoint in the slightest. I now have a special place in my heart for Liam Walker and Sage Loana Hale, both individually and as a couple.
A variety of challenging and emotional subjects are discussed in this book. I found that Janiah Benitez details and describes the struggles of grief, eating disorders, body image, and coping with a parent who has Alzheimer’s respectfully and beautifully. Her depiction of Sage Loana Hale’s eating disorder and how her friends, family, and loved ones did their best to help her overcome it had me tearing up each time.
As someone who is in LOVE with groveling, I cannot thank Janiah enough for making Liam work for it when it came time. It was refreshing and unique to see Sage stand up for herself and what she’s worth. I loved every second of his groveling, on top of how undeniably sweet he was with his words. It was enough to leave me blushing, and I loved every second.
Although I felt that the ending was a bit rushed, in terms of Liam and Sage’s relationship, I can see how it was an ‘If you know, you know’ situation.
I will be running to read another Janiah Benitez book!!
i was lucky enough to be a beta reader for janiah and let me tell you, this book is SO DAMN GOOD. not only did it have me kicking my feet and sitting on the edge of my seat, but it also made me tear up and angry. this book made me feel EVERYTHING and only amazing books do that. janiah truly is so talented. i can’t wait for it to be on my shelf <3
- I really wanted to love this book, but it was so dragged out. 500+ pages for absolutely no reason. Despite the book being so long, the main couple slept together within the first 15% of the book, and the timeline of events was extremely rushed. It was also very repetitive, and the MMC was lowkey an asshole at first-but not a likable asshole, just a straight-up asshole.
- I loved Sage (FMC). She's so girlalala, and she and Liam go together. Love a sunshine x grumpy. Once Liam stopped being an asshole to Sage, I enjoyed his character. He's hot, he's rich, he's down bad for her... I had no choice but to stan.
Anyway, I feel this book just wasn't my personal cup of tea, and it even took me longer than it usually does for me to finish a book, so go me for not DNF-ing..
Sage and Liam were made for each other. Sage is the most positive, loving, and sweet character and Liam is so grumpy, has angry issues, and is pretty closed off to others but with each other they learn that their flaws isn’t something to be ashamed of and it was so heart warming to see them help each other and have such positive impacts on one another.
I adore this book so much! this book does touch on a few heavy topics but janiah handled them so well, i related to SO much in this book it actually hurt to acknowledge how smiler i am to sage (our fmc) in so many ways. I really felt seen in this book and it will always have such a special impact on me.
as some who LOVESSS the groveling, i just want to say thank you janiah for making liam actually work to win sage back and her not taking him back just because he did one sweet thing, it was also just really sweet to see all the ways that he made it up to her.
THE PRINCESS AND THE FROG REFERENCES ARE EVERYTHING, it’s my favourite disney movie and my favourite song is Ma Belle Evangeline so to have that song/movie play such a big part in this book was amazing.
I could truly talk about how much i love all the side characters and the representation in this book but i will keep it simple and say that when i say i want representation in a book this is what i mean!! all the characters were different. They were from different programs, different conditions, different sizes and it just felt more real. I will say that moon is my favourite side character, but August comes as a close second!!
by now, if I haven’t convinced you to read this book, I don’t know what will you need to read it as soon as possible!! 💚💚💚
Thank you sooo much Janiah for the opportunity to read this as an arc
Thank you Janiah for sending me a copy of Without Fault for an honest review.
The grumpy x sunshine trope didn’t disappoint at all! Was very well written. Sage has such a sweet soul and Liam is as grumpy as they get. Absolutely loved Sage and Liam they are my favourite people ☺️
I have not read a book with this much grovelling before and let me just say Sage made Liam work so damn hard to win her back & I absolutely loved it! So good to see a man sweat 😂
There is a variety of triggers and emotional subjects in the book but they were well represented by the author. Sage’s eating disorder and how she managed it broke me but it was good to see how her family and friends did their best to support her through this!
I don’t tend to care about side characters is most books but Janiah presented them really well especially Moon 🥹
I loved the extended epilogue, it was so much fun!
If you’re looking for grumpy x sunshine this is the book! Without Fault had me giddy in the first few chapters. Liam was definitely the grumpiest man I’ve read, and Sage has the sweetest soul. Janiah Benitez did such a great job writing some sensitive topics. I felt all the emotions while reading what Liam and Sage went through. The ending was perfect and the extending epilogue was so much fun! Also, I love all the side characters in this book. I’m excited to read their stories!
4.75/5 ⭐️ I would definitely check the TW before reading but this book was so good! It definitely had me in tears at the end 🥹 I wasn’t expecting this book to be as good as it was!
4.5 stars Without Fault was such a good book. The tropes and even the micro-tropes were everything. I LOVED the fact that Liam talked to his mom about her, it was such a cute little add in.
Janiah also wrote Sages’ ED beautifully in a way, the way it was written will definitely have it stick with you and make you have a different understanding.
A bit off topic but we do love the fact that she’s a billionaire and he’s a millionaire, we love a queen that’s more rich than the man🤭🤭 Also! the GROVELLING??? lord don’t we love it guys, it was perfect and amazing
Also, just had to say I am extremely thankful that I was able to be an ARC reader for this book and hopefully future one’s as well🙏🏻 but Janiah has always put her everything into her books and I know she will continue to do that.
This read like a Wattpad book in all the best and worst ways.
Best: the fantasy of it all the supermodel who gets to billionaire status and the pro baseball player who has a private jet, it was fun without being too ridiculous that I couldn’t focus on the story. When I saw the page count I wasn’t sure how the pacing would be especially bc it feel a little fast at the beginning but I think it was my favorite part. I only really started to feel the length of the book in the last few chapters and even then I loved Sage and Liam’s dynamic and chemistry so much I didn’t care because I got to read their cute moments.
Worst: there were a couple of narrative inconsistencies that I think having a couple more edits would’ve solved. The author also just completely forewent describing characters but would randomly bring up throngs about their looks late in the book as if the reader just knew that about the character, see Moon, and it was really frustrating to have to reference the cover to try to get an idea of what the characters looked like rather than just getting a once off description in the book. And I mean a good somewhat specific, depending on the importance of the character, description not just an off handed her eyes were green here and there, bc honestly aside from Sage and Liam I have no idea what anyone looks like, the closest I got to picturing anyone was Capri and Moon and that was based off of comments said 80% into the book, and they were vague comments at that.
Overall it was a pretty fun read. I’m not usually someone who likes a grumpy sunshine but I loved this one!(mostly because it didn’t make being a grumpy or being overly upbeat the only character traits of the main characters) I do think there’s a bit of lost potential because with a workshop or a couple of edits here and there I think this could’ve been a 4 star read but I’m excited to see what the author does next.
sage loana hale might just be the most sunshine fmc i’ve ever read about. she is such a vibrant character and so sweet.
as for liam walker, he’s the most grumpy mmc i’ve ever read😅. at first i didn’t really love how he acted but liam definitely grew on me. he’s the definition of ‘i hate everyone in the world but you’ and the author definitely did a great job at portraying that.
i loved both sage and liam as individual characters but also as a couple. this book had multiple different things going on with each character which allowed me to really get to know them. as for their relationship, it was so sweet. i loved seeing liam let his walls down and how understanding and caring sage was.
this book touches on quite a few emotional subjects which i think janiah handled very well. our fmc, sage, does have an eating disorder and we watch her go through ups and downs. the scenes between her friends and family trying to help her overcome this were some of my favorites. the family aspects in the hale series are so so strong and it’s one of my favorite parts.
with that being said, i would highly suggest everyone to go read this book! especially if you’re someone who loves grumpy x sunshine, brothers rival, plus size rep, groveling, and found family 💚
2.5 ⭐️ The amount of times I almost dnfed this book is wild. I literally can’t stand both the mmc and fmc. And whyyyyy is this book 500 pages like damn. There were some interesting parts with drama but that’s kinda it
(if something doesn’t make sense is because this was originally written for an insta - @luna.loves.books - post and im lazy to change it ;))
first of all i want to apologise for my late review, i got home last night at 1am (so i guess technically earlier today lmao) and i forgot my ipad at home so i couldn’t work on finishing up the scrapbook while i was away, and i was not gonna post that unfinished because girlie it would not have done this amazingly beautiful and awesomely great book justice. — if y’all want to know what im talking about click here: https://www.instagram.com/p/C-VcV9GI5...
also i will be posting the full review on goodreads and storygraph (both linked in my bio) since it won’t entirely fit here and i’ve got things to say about this book (all good as you can see from the five star rating hehe) - all i get to mention is literally one singular point and miss girl trust me i’ve got several + i didn’t get to include the tropes or blurb 😭. now, let’s finally get into it:
okay so i normally focus on the vibes, characters and plot first, but i really want to talk about how deeply this book hit. the struggles the main character goes through, sage, are something i feel all women resonate with some way or another (i’ll expand in a sec but i want to mention something real quick first). on the one side, it brings a lot of awareness to the different struggles POC face and the discrimination they still have to face on different industries, such as a lack of right foundation shade, a thought which doesn’t even cross the thoughts of many as such a situation would seem ‘unconceivable’ to them. i personally do have to say this has happened to me on a couple of occasions because i’m pale af but i have known it was because i have a specific skin tone and not due to the brand not wanting to make a ‘light enough shade’ lmao (i hope i have explained myself correctly i just reread that and it sounded a bit weird but i hope y’all know what i mean 😭). aside to keep in contact with friends and for bookish stuff, i use my socials as one of my main news source, and i try to keep up to date with the different social realities other people experience and overall to educate myself, and not making actually dark shades is such an issue for so many different brands and honestly wtf like bro cmon it’s not that hard. (kinda went on a rant im sorry, but i’m trying to stress a but less about my reviews and make them more real haha)
okay now that i mentioned this, let’s go back to one of the topics i believe janiah nailed - trigger warning: eating disorders !!
my weight, but overall the way i look is something i have always been extra conscious about (yay let’s over share on the internet). growing up, and honestly even now it is something i think about several times a day and i hate that i do. i know what my body does for me and gosh do i appreciate it for it, but its the subconscious ceaseless yapping that gets me, its a voice that never shuts up. and what kills me the most is that it is my own voice. anyways i don’t think y’all want to be my therapist for the day so i just want to say, dear janiah, i am so grateful for the way you approached and literally aced writing about this topic because it is something so many of us struggle with but is sometimes (most times) hard to put into words.
anyway, let’s continue. okay so now let me get into the characters/character dynamics: we all know ‘friends’ like helena exist and sometimes when you’re close to them is not that you don’t see it, but that you don’t want to see it, so it is so important to have people that truly care about you around you that keep an eye out for you (damn that almost caused me a stroke lmao). as for the siblings dynamics AAHAHHAA I LOVED THEM. ngl that’s not the relationship i have with my sister right now but it is the one i crave and i know we will have in a few years when we both grow a bit, something for which i am truly very excited. getting off track again but yes i love them. but obviously i’ve got to say my favourite character is moon (you get it luna-moon-luna anyway imma shut up now) he’s just so funny and genuine and his banter with liam genuinely made me laugh out loud like bro can you please exist so we can be friends?
as for the plot i’ve got absolutely nothing to add (except like a good 500 pages more because i would have absolutely eaten them up like i did with the rest, but oh well, i guess i’ll have to settle for their appearances in the next book ;)). i really liked how ‘balanced’ the plot as well as the backstories were, because there’s so many books in which the love interests revolve around each other and everything else just fades into the background to the point in which you don’t even know their friends’ name (im obviously exaggerating but i think y’all know what i mean) but here it was so balanced and we got to know a little about them all and honestly it was quite literally perfect :)
and to wrap it all up i just want to say please go read this book, it is absolutely amazing, trust me and im gonna stop typing now because my hands are starting to hurt (tbf thats my fault bc im t-rex typing on the couch with my dog laying on my lap lmao)
tropes: ⊹ grumpy-sunshine ⊹ ‘i hate everyone but you’ ⊹ brother’s rival ⊹ sports romance ⊹ he falls first

thank you janiah so much for granting me with the opportunity of reading and reviewing <33

Liam is a baseball player with a bad attitude. He's emotionally scarred due to some traumatic events in his past and present. As to his past, his father killed his sister when he struck her. Dad didn't intend for the sister to die, but Liam blames himself because had he stayed home and cared for her instead of going out, he would've been there and his sister wouldn't have been crying for him. Had his sister not been crying for him, his dad wouldn't have hit her in a fit of anger. In present day Liam's life, his mother has dementia so he struggles with her inability to recognize him at times when he visits her and because his mom forgets his sister has died sometimes.
Sage is a popular plus size supermodel who is so friendly, open, and genuine it's almost sickening at times. We learn that she struggles with an eating disorder but it takes Liam seeing it for what it is for Sage to understand it for what it is. Once she researches more information, Sage is alarmed at the potential health detriments. Sage also ends up having to deal with the betrayal of a long time friend who tried to sabotage one of the most important shows of her career.
What's in the way of Liam and Sage and their happily ever after? Sage has a really close relationship with her two brothers, also baseball players but rivals to Liam. Also, Liam and her brothers hate one another. Did I mention that one of the brothers is her twin? Add to that, they're both dealing with their own personal lives and it's not the best setting for a relationship. And especially since Liam kept his animosity toward her brothers and theirs for him a secret from Sage for a long time. The obvious assumption is that Liam chose her to get back at the brothers even though he tried to do the very opposite when he first met Sage.
There's a lot of what modeling life looks like and those experiences in this book are what I found to be the most interesting. At least in the modeling life of Sage, there isn't a lot of catty drama and competitiveness overshadowing everything else. It's a little unrealistic how most of the models get along, just because when you have so many people with different personalities, I'd expect more dissent outside of a couple of characters that dislike one another. In any case, reading about how Liam comes to care for Sage and shows that he wants what's best for her is really sweet. I thought the whole Sage dumping him was eye rolling especially the cause which was because he couldn't control his temper. Not that Liam is a raging block head all of the time either, it just felt flimsy to me and a way to add tension to their relationship for no reason. It's also something that endeared Liam to me even more because he did the work to get Sage back and was so very lost without her with him. That's what I liked the most. The writing is good and the characters are likeable as well so that's also a plus.
This book was an okay read. I really loved both main characters and kind of enjoyed the plot in some ways. I love Sage's personality, I like that she's just confident and is always positive about a lot in life, and loves seeing the good in people. I also don't like that she had a hard time with saying what she really wanted to people. Liam is cool, and I liked that in some ways he's the opposite of Sage,he's not afraid to say what he really wants to say. I obviously didn't like that he was always lashing out on people and always being mean and angry, even to the people who just wanted nothing but to be his friends or help him. I must say the feud between him and Sage's two brothers is nothing but stupid and dumb, and they are all dumb for not addressing or talking about it sooner. Also, when Liam failed to acknowledge his part with his fight with Sire at the game, it made me so angry, especially when he provoked the guy. It was also so wrong of him for wanting Sage to deal with her issues with her eating disorder when he was not dealing with his own anger issues, and had to be told and called out on multiple occasions for it. Another issue I had when reading this book was that I felt like it didn't do so well when it comes to showing or telling us about Liam, there wasn't much about him, nothing much about his daily life, except his visits to his mother and being around or with Sage, all that was said about him is that he had a sick mother, his little sister died at the hands of his father and he later committed suicide and Liam blamed himself for his sister's death, his career,he also was rich and that was all on him. While with Sage,I got to read about her daily life updates, her career, and also everything was well said and portrayed about her career. Her friends were more portrayed, and I knew everything about them and so much. I seriously would have loved knowing more about Jordan and Moon. I was happy when Liam decided to deal with his anger issues, even though when reading, I felt like he was just doing it to please Sage,I mean, I would have loved seeing him wanting or doing it for himself, same goes for Sage with her struggles with her eating disorder. Besides everything, I was glad to read about them being there for each other and working out their issues together.

📖: without fault💚💫 review: I have just recently finished “The Plan” and I just had to read this arc, so glad I received it. I love the found family aspect of this series. I’m a super family oriented person, so, it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy. Sage is a successful social media influencer and twin sister to August Hale. August is an LA Dodgers player who’s the longtime rival of Liam Walker, a baseball player for the Yankees. Sage & Liam find themselves acquainted they have to work together on a project. I loved Sage’s character from book 1, so I was super excited to read her book. Sage helped Liam become more mature and made him to better version of himself. The way the author portrayed this love story was amazing, the chemistry, passion, and pull between the two characters were palpable. While the couple did star of fwb-y, I loved the way Liam became so quickly enamored with Sage. Liam while a bit grumpy + sometimes annoying but did the cutest things for Sage. I loved how he cherished Sage’s body and was a huge support system for her. This was such a cute and fun read, I love a “brother’s rival” trope honestly, it’s super underrated. I enjoyed seeing Liam again, given he was in bits & pieces of book one. Although he’s portrayed as your typical bad boy, I felt like he was misunderstood. The ending has my heart! Overall, I’m so glad I discovered Janiah on TikTok, & I can’t wait to read more of her books.
* tropes: ⁃ Brothers Rival ⁃ Grumpy x Sunshine ⁃ Biker Boy x Supermodel ⁃ "I hate everyone but you" ⁃ BWWM ⁃ FMC Billionaire ⁃ MMC Millionaire ⁃ He falls first & hard ⁃ ED Rep ⁃ Plus Size Rep ⁃ Found family ⁃ Interracial love
moments: ⁃ The love/appreciation Liam shows Sage’s body ⁃ Liam buying an expensive ticket just to see Sage on the runway + the birkin😝 ⁃ Liam in general just taking care of Sage ⁃ The nickname “beloved” 🥰 *it gave me Bridgerton vibes ⁃ Liam being jealous and questioning Sage who she was going on a date with🤣 ⁃ The extended epilogue, love Sage & Liam’s little family🥹

Thank you janiah for giving me the opportunity to be an arc reader for without fault. I’m so proud of you and I can’t wait to read any other book you write.
I wanna start off by saying good luck to my future husband because if I thought my standards were high before Liam walker raised them even higher. I absolutely adored Liam and sage and their beautiful funny love story. Without fault is the definition of grumpy x sunshine because sage is the most outgoing friendliest person and then Liam is the completely opposite. I guess it is true when they say opposite attract because there two characters were made for each other. I do want to mention that this book did contain some heavy topics but the way janiah went about discussing sage eating disorder was perfectly written. She showed me that support goes a long way with eating disorder and I loved that I was able to be with sage and watch her overcome it with the help of her friends and family. That’s another thing janiah has a way with words and when I was reading this book it felt like I was there with the characters in a way. This book made me feel and not a lot of books do that for me.
Let go onto the characters my favourite is Liam and I’m sorry sire but he outranks u on my book boyfriend because Liam walker is the STANDRAD. Like I don’t see anything wrong with someone who is only obsessed with me matter of fact I love it 🤭. Sage leona hale is a fucking queen I absolutely loved her from the beginning always knew she was going to be my favourite hale and girl. Moon and Mal are my favourite side characters in this book.
To wrap this up if you want a book that makes u think there is crack in it because you can’t stop reading it or thinking about, a book with found family and sibling bonds, a beautiful grovelling top tier romance then this is the book YOU NEED TO PICK UP.
It is truly “WITHOUT FAULT” 😉 my rating for this book is 5 stars and as for favourite quotes anything Liam walker said when he was talking about sage🤭
I already knew this book would be important from the dedication. This is a book that talks about pain and acceptance, in so many different forms that it is difficult not to feel represented and I think this is one of its strong points. As much as I see myself in both main characters and have a huge crush on Liam, Sage is on a higher level, no one dares to touch my beautiful little girl.
I loved Sage's sweetness, her pure and precious soul and she really doesn't deserve any harm in the world. As a plus size/curvy girl I loved the representation in this book and one of the things I liked most was the fact that everyone loved Sage, admired her and found her beautiful also because of her body, which unfortunately nowadays it is still too much at the center of controversy. And the relationship between the four brothers? Something beautiful that warmed my heart.
💚 “You’re the most beautiful person I’ve met, beloved.”
I liked how this book talked about important themes that are not often discussed, even as topics that perhaps were not the main ones in the story but still had space (for example models with vitiligo or the problem of make-up when it comes to a black model). This book had the opportunity to talk about important topics and it did !!
💚 “I was never available for anyone else but you.”
In reality at the beginning I didn't feel much chemistry between Sage and Liam as a couple, as cute as they were together but it wasn't important because it was more important for me at that moment to know them as characters and see them interact precisely because of the wonderful characterization they have. There are many side characters but even these don't give the sign of being too many because each one is different from each other, with a good characterization and a precise purpose (yes this is my appreciation for Moon).
Arc Review Rate:4.5 Tropes: I hate everyone but you Grumpy X Sunshine Biker boy X Supermodel ED rep Billionaire FMC & Millionaire MMC Plus size rep
From the moment I started this book, I loved how sweet and bubbly this story was set in. This book brought in such wholesome vibes that would make your heart swarm. This book left me on High edge with both Main characters with such different personalities.
Sage Loana is a damn good hot super model, who literally has the sweetest and heartwarming personality. She was my top favorite and couldn't get enough of her!! Although she struggled from time to time, she tried her best to overcome and these reps were written well by the author! Not only is she fun but she loves to get under Liam skin and make for things!
Liam Walker boy is he a character and something else. This man has troubles with love but yet when he finds his match woman oh my lord!! This man makes you want all of his love, but yet hes a grumpy one! Sage is his extra push to keep him on his toes and that's what he needed. He's hot and he doesn't forget things you tell him. UGHHH YESS! This man will literally do anything for his woman along with supporting her every move, and who doesn't want that???
I loved reading this book, I loved getting to see the side characters piece by piece, I love the emotionally support by the brothers and the love they all share. Sage and Liam are one of the cutest couples literally ever! I can't wait to read more from this author and her writing! This writing was amazing and well thought out while going through the story.
Thank you so much for allowing me to read your book Ms. Benitez you did your damn thing with this one, please continue to write such whole some characters and hot juicy grumpy ones!!
I Got Sunshine on a Cloudy Day.... Without Fault by Janiah Benitez is the second book in The Hale Series. The series is interconnected and while I have not read the first book, The Plan, I was able to navigate The Fault very nicely, but I DO intend to read the first book based on the vibe between Sire and Vidia as they interacted in the current storyline. Without Fault uses the tropes of my brothers’ enemy, friends to lovers, friends with benefits and opposites attract (she is all sunshine while he is a dark angry cloud on every day😊). Sage Loana Hale is an anomaly as a top model, she appears to navigate the world with a motto of kindness and positivity. There does not appear to be a person or a situation able to dim her shine! When baseball player Liam Walker’s bad temper gets him in trouble one time too many, he must spend his free time taking photos for a contest Sage is involved in. Sage doesn’t let his sullen demeanor hinder her in befriending the caustic Liam. As they become closer, readers discover that the pair has more in common than one would imagine…. Sage is struggling with an eating disorder and Liam has more emotional trials than one person should have to endure. Liam is also being less than honest with Sage about some aspects of his life and relationships. Will his dishonesty cost him the one bright spot and sheltered haven in his life? Ms. Benitez tells her engaging story with great attention to detail; Sage is truly a good person (almost too good to be true) and Liam is snarky, grumpy, broken, a bit stalkerish but with a real sweetness (at least where Sage is concerned). I enjoyed this story and look forward to reading about the other Hale siblings…August and Lisette (they sound like hot messes, so I expect to be entertained). https://theretiredreader.com/read-for...
