Small-town girl meets grumpy big city boy, and those two do not see eye-to-eye.
Whispering Falls is more than just a postcard-perfect town with a rich history. It's where unexpected encounters can lead to life-changing sparks. Danika Walters, the life of the local history scene, is all about community vibes and keeping the town's old-school charm alive. She's got this knack for making everyone feel like they're home.
Steven Hillman is a graphic designer straight out of the NYC hustle. Life throws him a curveball, however, when he inherits his uncle's rundown home in Whispering Falls. He's a grumpy loner when it comes to relationships, which is pretty much the opposite of Danika's outgoing personality.
Having to take time off from his job in New York for a small town puts his love for going it alone to the test when he meets the intriguing Danika.
The two are thrown together by fate with a side of fresh chemistry. They're both trying to do something great with the old house, but their plans are as mismatched as their personalities, making Steven rethink his lone-wolf ways and lighting up some of Danika's own pushed-aside dreams.
Will Danika's hometown heart spark something in Steven's city-slicker soul? Is Steven's need for control going to click with Danika's all-in passion?
INHERITING LOVE dives into a down-to-earth love that unfolds in the laid-back lanes of Whispering Falls, where falling leaves and falling in love remind us that the best things we inherit aren't just houses or antiques, but the chance to find true love.
Uptight New York guy meets small town girl when he inherits his uncle’s house. They quickly fall in love while searching through old boxes of pics, love letters and historical documents, but don’t tell each other how they feel. From here it only drags along slowly. No spark, bland reading and definitely no real excitement in this book. I had a hard time sticking it out till the end. Just plain boring!
A lovely turn-around story. I enjoyed the passion the characters have for what they do. The town and its 'people' are truly lovely and inviting. The whole place sounds ideal for log term living, instead of striving. A good read.
Steven Hillman is an overworked New York City graphic designer that is forced to take a short break when he inherits and dilapidated old house in the small town of Whispering Falls. He meets Danika Walters when he gets to town. She is from the local historical society and has different ideas than he does about the future of the house. They are thrown together when they discover some historical artifacts and are set on the same path. This was an intriguing story in an inviting town, and I look forward to more.
Wow I could read this book again because it is so so good. As I read I felt like I was watching a real life story. The characters were perfect for each other and were so much fun. Great job of writing!
The concept of the story is very intriguing. I enjoyed it. I also felt there is a something missing. To me the story is very neutral. You don’t feel the love between this couple. A business agreement yes but not true love.
