Praise for the Mellin Cove Series:

“DANGER AT MELLIN COVEgave me the same thrills I got when I first read Jamaica Inn. Terrific! It had me completely gripped and entranced. I thoroughly enjoyed it.” - E-Scape Press Author Judy Jarvie.

“A smashing read enjoyed every page, full of suspense, a good story well written, would recommend this book to my friends.” Amazon reader review

“A good story to settle down with after a long day of stress. It takes the reader to another time and place and reveals a slice of life from the point of view of Hedra who is a naïve, but spunky young woman. She has a strong sense of right and wrong. Even though she comes from wealth and position, she relates to the needs and circumstances of the hardworking people of Mellin Cove.” - Long and Short Reviews

“Really good read, have enjoyed the Loveday Ross mysteries should be more, please can we have some more brilliant read.” Amazon reader review

If you are a regular reader of the Loveday mysteries, this book won't disappoint you. While on a holiday in Scotland, Loveday and her partner, DCI Sam Kitto, discover a burnt out car with a body in it. They give all the details of their discovery to DI Jack Drummond and his team. After coming back home to Cornwall, Loveday finds the body of Noreen Morrison in a car after Noreen had asked her to met with her at night in a parking lot (car park in the UK). It turns out that Loveday knew the two murder victims (Mhari Macleod and Noreen Morrison from her past work). Mhari and Noreen turned out to be related. Will their murders be related also? Find out the answer to that question by reading this intriguing and unputdownable book, which I highly recommend to other mystery readers. I received an ARC of this book, and the opinion expressed is strictly my own.

Murder in the Scottish Highlands?

Loveday, Sam, and Rosie are on holiday in the Scottish Highlands visiting friends and family. While sight seeing in the area, Loveday and Sam stumble upon a burned out car with a body inside. The victim turns out to be someone Loveday interviewed for an article. But who would want Mhari dead? They leave the investigation to Jack Drummond and his crew (mostly!) and head back home to Cornwall. Only to stumble upon another body! Can Loveday, Sam, and DI Drummond solve both murders before there is another? Good mystery with plenty of twists to keep the story interesting. Love the descriptions of the scenery.

This is the first in the Loveday Mysteries Series Two and the first book by Rena George that I have read. There were plenty of twists and turns to the story. From the synopsis above, we know that Loveday will come face to face with a killer.

The killer has no remorse. The story was tense. It begins with a gruesome murder which should never happen to anyone.

I was given an advanced copy and am not required to leave a positive review.
