В этой части Мейзи Хитчинс помогает детективу под прикрытием с делом краденных картин. На этот раз это не один преступник, а целая группировка.

Легкий слог и интересный сюжет продвигает чтение довольно быстро. В этот раз чувствуется рост автора. Намного легче погрузиться в историю и история не отпускает до конца. Персонажи интересные и более продуманные, легче раскрываются по мере событий. Есть моменты, которые не ожидаешь увидеть после стольких книг, но всё же автор приятно удивила.

Книге поставила 4/5. Пока что лучшая в цикле, советую детям и даже взрослым, для расслабления.

The Case of the Secret Tunnel by Holly Webb is a great book for students who love to solve cases. Students will love Maisie's journey to discover who Mr. Fred Grange is. Students will also love the mysterious turn Maisie discovers as she tries to discover the truth about Mr. Grange. This book would be great to teach students about plot events in a book. It is great for readers who can read on their own.

omggg the suspense is piercing me, this may be better then the first book, all that creeping and searching in the dark almost made my heart fall off, Maisie you're one brave girl!!

Padahal buku anak anak tp aku dag dig dug banget ngikutin maisie lakuin penyelidikan di seri ke lima ini, subvert my expectations by quite a margin, salah satunya mungkin karna kali ini blurbnya gak ngasih info relevan apa apa ttg kasusnya, awalnya kukira si lodger baru ini orang shady yg make jalur bawah tanah buat kerja dia tp ternyata bukan, twist yg gak buat cengang bgt tp cukup unexpected, klimaksnya buat jantung ku copot pas Maisie ngambil tindakan sendiri, untung dia gak kenapa kenapa, overall I think I enjoyed this fifth series more than the first one! XD

This is a great series to introduce young readers to historical fiction/mysteries. The plots are easy to follow, the heroine is clever and like able, and there is just enough historical information to be interesting without bogging down the text. These are a lot of fun and have great illustrations.

Милая детская детективная книжечка. Для такого небольшого объема - очень неплохие персонажи и сюжет, викторианский антураж и милашные иллюстрации тоже порадовали. Найти бы серию в оригинале, я думаю, она неплохо пошла бы для домашнего чтения на уроках английского.
