The last clue takes them to a small village where Aris meets Angelica and they fall in love. The twist is Adonis, a villager, has loved Angelica for years but never professed his love. Who will win Angelica's love? I found this very entertaining with all the antics the three friends get into! A must read.

Between Eros by Chris Neo is not your typical romance novel but is a beautifully thoughtful and emotionally meaningful read. The storytelling is intimate, which is what I normally like to read and got me to read these books. It has a way of drawing the reader into quiet spaces of desire, vulnerability, and connection. Rather than relying on dramatic plot turns, the book works through subtle emotional shifts and thoughtful character moments.
The pacing of the book is deliberate and well matched to the tone, allowing you to appreciate the emotional depth. Neo’s writing captures complex feelings with restraint and sincerity. I was skeptical at first because the slower paced writing isn’t always for me but it made the book. This may not be for readers who prefer a more dynamic fast paced plot twisting story line or clearer story direction. But the theme of the book went hand in hand with the slow burning sensation that the writer does a great job of creating.

Between Eros is the second book in The Love Secret trilogy and continues with Aris’ quest for the “Love Secret.” During this leg of his quest, Aris confronts ruthless mobs and unearthly forces that test his faith and understanding of love. I enjoyed the dynamics between Aris and the newly introduced love interest, Angelica. Their connection and love becomes the center of the story, helping them to face the dangers and continue with this quest. As someone who enjoys reading romance, Between Eros did not disappoint. It had a great blend of romance, suspense, and high-stakes tension; perfectly balancing romance and plot, making it an engaging read.

I was looking for a new type of book to read when I stumbled upon this new book " Between the Eros' by Chris Neo. I was interested in it because I have never really read romance type books before. I was a little hesitant at first because I have not read the previous 2 book in the series and noticed this was the last one to come out. I purchased the book and dove right in. I am a quick reader and I was able to finish the book in under a week. I was very impressed when I finished it. Having not read the first 2 books in the series I was still able to follow the book and the characters very easily. The book revolves around the main character Arias who travels all over while looking for love. This book encompasses different genres of books. It incorporates romance, action, adventure , self discovery all in one book. Arias was a character that I was immediately drawn to and found myself cheering him on throughout the book on his quest for love. I liked how each character and relationship was explored and discussed. There were different dynamics to each situation that made the reader relate to a particular situation. Now having finished this book I have to go back and read the first two. I also would love to see these books made into movies. As I was reading the book I pictured in mind what each character would look and sound like in real life. I would love to see it all play out on the big screen. Mr. Neo has a fan in me.

The strongest theme for me is the tug-of-war between desire and devotion. wanting love as an answer, but learning that love is a practice.
Character-wise, Aris has enough inner conflict to feel human, and the settings give the book an energy that supports the theme of searching, both externally and internally.
One constructive critique: sometimes the momentum is so focused on mystery/action beats that I wanted a few more quiet, everyday moments between Aris and Angelica to deepen their connection before the next surge of danger.
Still, if you like romance with suspense and a dark edge, this book is a great read!

The sequel that was even better than the original. I loved this book as it told a story of three friends searching the world for the love secret. They go through many adventures and face some hard adversities in their travels but none like the one Angelica has to face when she is forced to choose between Ari and another man. The book had me hooked from the beginning as the author makes you fall in love with Ari. I found myself rooting for him, especially in times when he was faced with cruelty. I was eager to see if he finds what he’s searching for but by the end, I couldn’t stop till I finished the book. It was a page turning romance that made me really want to think deeper than the surface.

Readers will want to know what happens next to the point where you don't want to put the book down until you find out how the characters deal with each challenge. When I saw the cover of the book, I wasn't sure exactly what I was in for. What an unexpected treat! The story chronicles Aris as he continues his search for the love secret. While in many ways he is a stereotypical male protagonist who is full of machismo, he also has a softer side. His ability to tame and play with an entire pod of dolphins is evidence of this. Throughout the story there is nothing that Aris can't do. He is the hero despite his flaws. He finally meets Angelica and the two face challenges that try to keep them apart. This book is the perfect escape full of adventure, mystery, romance, and passion.
