A heartwarming story told in different timeframes. In the present day, Angie Cook is diagnosed with cancer and has to undergo months of treatment. In the 1940s, Diana suffers a life-changing accident at work. Both women are forced to reevaluate their lives, their jobs, learn to accept help from family and friends, and make changes they never imagined. Through hard work, determination, and support, both women are able to move on and follow their dreams. Throughout the story we learn of the connection between Angie and Diana.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Second Chances in Lavender Bay

This was absolutely amazing. The background story was very interesting and insightful to the current story. The characters are friendly, loyal, and supportive. The topic of Brest cancer is a scary thought for women and I can't imagine how it would affect you physically and mentally, from my experience with thyroid cancer it was absolutely frightening and I've been cancer free for 12 years. I think God , my family and all the support I had. A fantastic must read. Enjoy.

I really enjoyed Angie's story. This story definitely makes you remember that like is short and that we should live it to our fullest. I love the banter between Joe and Angie especially with the sandwich boards. I loved the little backstory about Angie's grandmother. I didn't want to put this book down. I would highly recommend this book and any book by Michele Brouder.

Lavender Bay

I thoroughly enjoyed reading the three books set in Lavender Bay. I especially liked the trips back in time to further the connections and get to know those who came before. And the trials and tribulations of the sisters gave substance to the stories. All the characters were well developed and most were likable! Lovely, enjoyable reads.

I love these Lavender Bay Books!

The ongoing family story, set in the town of Lavender Bay! I feel like an onlooker into the lives of this family, and like the way that each book deals with a different, pertinent social issues divorce, addiction and serious illness. These are lovely stories that I find very relatable!!!

This was a great read! As always this author creates a world and characters so well, it's like you know them. Heartbreak and devastation is palpable at some points, but hope is highlighted and there are HEA's to be had .

I enjoy going back to Lavender Bay and seeing how everyone is doing. The struggles that Diana and Angie had, their support system and their romances were very interesting to read about. This is a very heartwarming series.

Interesting and fascinating read on Angie and Diana's stories with all the back ground history. Most of the characters are people you would like to know. This book was hard for me to put down and ended up reading into the night. Highly recommend.
