JL Stray has always enjoyed reading books and writing stories. Finally, she gathered up enough courage to publish one herself. A former Policy Specialist and current Consultant, she spends any extra moment she has writing, outlining and scheming her next book.
Raised in a small town in Pennsylvania, she graduated from Penn State University with a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and Public Policy. Most days she uses one of those degrees in either her career or dealing with her children.
J.L. lives in that same small town, with her three very active children, who always have her at a diamond, field or court. She is a lover of books, shoes, beaches, and a strong drink.
Wish For is the third book in the Crave Series but at the same time you can read it by itself. I have read all three and love the little reminders of the friends past. If you enjoy enemies to lovers, second chance, rock star romance with a little spice. I would definitely recommend Wish For. Blair and Brent's story will take you one a path with some angry banter to funny banter between the two while trying to work there way through trouble, tears, and happiness.
This story follows Brent and Blair, who were childhood sweethearts. Blair went through a rough time at home and fled the first chance she got, leaving Brent. When she shows up as the new dancer for the music video that Brent’s band, Crave, is creating, Brent gives her the cold shoulder and demands she be let go.
They navigate through a few things that are thrown at them, with Blair dealing with not wanting to run and Brent afraid Blair will leave him again.
This is a really good second chance, enemies-to-lovers, rockstar romance that almost had me crying at a few parts. Blair is extremely strong and Brent is such a sweetheart. I’ll definitely be checking out Stray’s other books!
I'm not generally one to give lower reviews, yet sadly, I have to for this book. It just wasn't a good read for me. There seemed to be sections that were dragged out to fill up word count. I plan to give it another try in again and see if my opinion changes.
It took me almost to read this book. I love the storyline so much, but I felt it could dive more into some part of the book, and some prst I felt took up too much of the story. However, this book was great, and I love the back story to bair and brent and how much their live have changed since high school. There is spice that it is not a lot spice, but spice to me, I would say, is 2.5, but I'm oh k with that. The spice fit the bpok. However, I wish some part had more spice. Anyway, it was a great storyline, and I love how the used vma in this book and band and dancer I really how I haven't read another book like this
I absolutely loved this book. The dynamic and tension between Brent and Blair is unmatched!!! This story follows its fellow books, Lust For and Long For, which the same band and great group of people. However, each of the books are perfect to read on their own. These stories are not linked where you have to read all of them to read one, each story is its own, and they are all intertwined. I love it!
I really enjoyed this read. It went pretty fast for me even had me in tears a few times love the characters and the back-and-forth banter between them. The main characters Brent an Blair have to work through their past to learn to be around each other again definitely a rockstar romance with second chance enemies to lovers an some spice . most definitely will be checking out books one and two.
