This series has not gotten any better. The main redeeming feature of the series is each book is very short, so you can read through them quickly. That said, on a percentage basis, I don't think I've ever read another series that has as many typos, grammatical errors and general mistakes than this series. There seems to be little-to-no attention to detail, or even any care for detail. Missing quotes, extra commas, 'pf' instead of 'of', the mistakes are nearly endless. It got to the point where I kept reading just to see how many more mistakes I could find.

Adding to the frustation, the MC complains in this book that the System didn't include mana or HP bars in his display. Yet in Book 1, page 8, the author writes, "Leo also noticed two colored lines running across the top right-hand side of the screen. A red one labeled (HP) and a blue one labeled (MP)." Just another example of the lack of attention to detail and it really breaks immersion for someone paying the least bit of attention to the RPG side of things.

Then, on top of that, the MC is on easy mode the entire time. Yes, I enjoy stories about OP MCs, but this is more like a MC walking through a park and occasionally having to swat at a few mosquitos.

Anyway, dropping the series here.

Meh... Workable but taxing to power through.

Zerf has good plot points, but lacks in character development, world building, and overall polish. There does not seem to be an over arching goal for the storyline other than survival. The magic system, the loot rewards and system store are half-assed.
This series could be better if the author took his time to clean it up and add depth. I think it has huge potential, but having already been published, I doubt it will be reworked into a more fully fledged 2nd edition.

Good book

Good book I enjoyed it there are some things I wish it had I know dude was heartbroken but it's weird to know at least mentioning checking out some babes with all the swearing I'd this would be fine maybe other is trying not offend chicks I dunno but it's not normal I'm an introvert with severe physiological trauma giving me extremely social anxiety and I still check out babes I wouldn't ever approach and talk to them but I'd definitely look and dream about it

A New RPG World

Leo has to protect the people of the world. To do this, he must Fight and live. The system is working to kill all, but Leo is training his deciples and slowly they are gathering humans for a new city's birth, while saving those that they can.
Leo is fighting harder and harder monsters and inmates, then a dungeon of clockwork monsters, but it doesn't end there. There is always more to do to survive...

Very easy read and very enjoyable!

Good story but needs editing

Overall, an easy and good read with likable charactors, but...
Seriosly, I understand self publishing is hard, but find a friend or two who can spell check and do some final edits - some of the mistakes were very simple!

Gave 4stars for the good ( but the genre is getting pretty overused) and that final star could be gotten with some work.

good but not publish ready

This book is riddled with typos everywhere. Some fonts are different colors, some fonts are half the size, and the story wasn’t well thought out.

I still liked it overall, but the author is really shooting himself in the foot here by releasing a book in this state.

Level up - its an dog world.

Been a wild ride so far for LORD Leo Armstrong. Sounds like things are going to get a lot busier for him and his followers.
We will have to see what happens next.

For that, everyone remember to buy the next book!

Good book but typos

I enjoyed this book a lot. The only issue I had is that there are a lot of typos. A particular irritant was that a Lightning spell was often called Lighting, or maybe it was the other way round? A good proofreading would help a lot.

I wish he'd actually train them a little bit

I also don't like how it seems these gods are accelerating the system events by like over a decade or if I'm not mistaken a century. And just because it's him while screwing everybody else. it's just not right.

Fun in the new world!

I enjoyed the plot intermixing good and evil humans and other species in the battle for survival! The gods in charge are very flaky but now look to throw serious roadblocks in front of the heroes. Looking forward to the next book!

Needs an editor

It's an okay story that you don't have to think too deeply about. The text sometimes turns blue for chapters at a time, and there are tons of typos. Like "pf" instead of "of". Aside from that, the MC never feels truly in danger, so it's a low stakes story.

Very fun

This is a quick read, though it was a very enjoyable quick read. It's a perfect follow-up on the second book.

Highly recommended.
