This is an inside look at the newsrooms in New York City, primarily in the 1970’s and 1980’s. It was an interesting historical account of the various anchor teams and I really enjoyed reading about what went on behind the scenes. ( plenty of drinking and backstabbing).
Having grown up in a home where my parents watched ABC, ( Grimsby and Beutel) I enjoyed the stories about them. Currently, I watch NBC and it was fascinating to learn about Chuck Scarborough’s 50 years in the business. If you are familiar with the local news in the NY area, you will appreciate this book.

A very nice read

This is written so well that even if you had not grown up watching local television from New York, you’d be introduced to the people well enough to feel like you had.
