And Then There Was collection contains the following
And Then There Was Her
My job had taken me into the city.
I’d taken myself into a bar afterward.
I’d only gone there for a drink, but then I saw her, sitting on that stage, singing her heart out, her words sad and sorrowful, her voice beautiful and calling to me.
I wanted to know more about her right then and there.
And after that night, I took her back to my hotel. We’d both become lost in pleasure, and then she left, no goodbye, no last name or phone number given to me so I could find her again.
And Then There Was Us
I’d needed a job and found myself applying at Lyrics, an intimate jazz bar in the heart of the city.
My goal was simple—earn enough money so my ailing father didn’t have to worry about anything.
What hadn’t been in my plans was instantly being attracted to Bishop, my new boss and the resident bartender.
The attraction was insane, and the chemistry was off the charts between us.
And the obsession he threw my way should have frightened me, but instead it made me want him even more.

..Her
Oliver didn’t expect to have such a spark with one woman that sang like an angel. But after one wonderful night, she was gone. Now he has to find her. She is the one woman that opened up his world. Adele loved her job at a small bar named Lyrics. She had a passion for singing. When she attends an open mic at another bar, she meets a man that makes her want more. But she left too soon. I have to say reading this story I kept hearing the Heart’s song “All I want to do is make love” and Adele’s song “Hello.” The songs just seemed to fit this story. Of course, the ending is different. I do love an enchanted meeting and knowing that you found your soul mate.
..Us -
Bishop watched one of his waitress’ find her soul mate. When a new waitress comes on board, he can’t believe that he has found his soul mate. Korrie need this new job at Lyrics to help pay for her father’s medical. She didn’t know what to expect. She certainly didn’t expect her new boss to be handsome as all. Even more they have instant chemistry. I love that they both found not only a common ground up but also found love in a short amount of time. I guess we can say that the bar Lyrics as a place to find love and a great drink.
