Evy A new town. A new home. A new beginning. My sight was set straight on my dream of becoming a writer. But all that changed when I met him. Emerson ‘Jayden’ Jameson took my breath away with his blue, blue eyes and stole my heart. Our connection was instant, it was imminent. We fell in magical love while we spent our slow days in the sleepy town of ‘Bellevue.’ But our world shifted when school ended. When Jay flew to L.A. to chase his dream of becoming a rockstar. And now we were no longer high school sweethearts madly in love. Because the devil devised another plan for me. Forced me to leave the other half of my soul A choice that made my entire world crumble. Like dominos, everything in my life fell apart after that. And I was reduced to nothing. All because I fell in love.
From Me to You is Book One of the Four Foxes series. This is a prelude to Evy & Jay’s story and will be part of a trilogy. This is not a standalone and ends in a cliffhanger. It is intended for mature audiences, there might be some situations like mental health situations and death that can be uncomfortable for some readers.
"Jay, who is your favorite person in the whole wide world?" I whispered but I already knew the answer. "You,"
The angst in this book was on point. I haven't been so stressed reading in some time. Honestly the first half was so dang sweet and I loved the young love between Evy and Jay. Then there was the last half... I was biting all my nails off seeing what would happen. This one put me through the wringer.
Evy and Jay meet in high school. Evy is new to town and a starting her junior year somewhere new, knowing no one. Jay's friend group takes her under their wings and they begin dating shortly after. This is such a beautiful found family story as well as romance. I loved this group of friends. It made the end that much more heart-wrenching.
Evy has dreams of becoming a writer and Jay's band wants to make it big one day. Little do they know that his dreams could be what tears them apart... My favorite part of this book was how fiercely these two loved one another. You could feel it. It was special. The only criticism I have is the lack of contractions throughout the dialogue. I notice this happens in debut novels sometimes and I feel like it stilts conversations, but once I got past that it went smoothly.
This book left me wanting so much more. I hope the wait for the next one isn't long because I'll be jumping in as soon as it comes out!
This had me gripped from start to finish, and shattered my heart. The cosy and sweet YA first love was beautiful to watch unfold, and the way they supported each other was everything. Jay and Evy are soul mates and it was heartbreaking the choices Evy had to make. I've never hated a character so much before, and can only hope White gets some payback. I can't wait for the next book, and hope they get the HEA together they deserve.
✨First Love ✨High School Romance ✨YA/NA ✨Soulmates ✨Rockstar Romance ✨Lovers to Enemies
I’m hurt, I’m upset, I’m heartbroken. This book has devastated me. What should have been a slow burn, instant connection, sweet and loving romance turns into deception, depression and so much pain. It is a true masterpiece of storytelling. This is my first book by this author and it will not be my last. I need to know what happens to these characters. I can only plead that the finally get a HEA.
Received this book as an arc , didn’t really know what to expect but I really loved this one.
It was such a beautiful story that left me giggling and kicking my feet at many points. I honestly love Evy and Jay and their story. I loved the friendships that were within this book and the found family trope because it really allowed me to see the strong connections between each of the characters.
I had never read a lovers to enemies story before but I thoroughly enjoyed it and can’t wait to read more.
I thought this was a great start to this series and I cannot wait to see where this story goes.
All in all this was a great read and I would highly recommend.
Make sure to read this one when it comes out as I hope that you will enjoy this book as much as I did 😊
Thank you Emberlynn for sending me this arc , I am so grateful and excited for what is to come next. ☺️

Evy and jay I absolutely adored these two as a couple, but the ending I need more
Emberlynn’s writing is so captivating it draws you in from the first sentence and you don’t very want to put the book down. This book is outstanding and I loved it so much

I signed up for this becuz it had a lot of a favorite tropes, but sadly it didn't work out for me. I did enjoy the beginning but then it started to drag and the MFC came off as childish to me in some moments. They was no angst or nothing to spice up the beginning and then when the plot did start to thicken I started to skim read cuz at that point i was already bored, some stuff was in my opinion thrown in to make it OTT and didn't make sense to me to be randomly added. I will admit the cliffhanger ending was good.
A debut novel from a spectacular storyteller! This book gutted me, spun me up, and wrung me out. I loved Evy and Jay’s story, so far. I was pulled into their world and did not want to leave. The found family and strength of friendship gives so much depth to the story.
My heart took a beating, the ending left me hanging, and yet I can not wait to get my hands on book two!
Thank you to the Author for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review.
This is such an incredibly beautiful story. I had never read a lovers to enemies book before and I enjoyed it so much. I went on such an emotional rollercoaster with this book and I’m definitely heartbroken by it, but in the vets way possible. I cannot wait to see what book 2 entails, especially given how it ended on a cliffhanger.
OMG THIS BOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!! THE ENDING HAS ME GASPING AND BEGGING THE AUTHOR TO RELEASE THE NEXT BOOK ASAP
Tropes : •she falls first •he falls harder •found family •rockstar x writer •third act breakup •high school romance
Jay is so cute, like the way he cares about the smallest things and is BOY OBSESSED with her and even decides to forgive her for cheating ( that she planned ) shows he’ll follow her to the earth’s ends. LOVE THAT FOR HER. Also the way at the end he’s adopted that ‘idgaf’ rockstar attitude WOAH THAT IS WHAT I WANT TO SEE.
Evy is so Barbie coded with all that pink and pls don’t make me break up with him so else I’ll die. True definition of soulmates with the red thread that binds you for life. Also the way his whole friend group basically adopted her in high school, I wish someone did that for me <3🥹
Thankyou to the author for providing me an ARC in exchange for an honest review. I cannot wait for book 2

I was so excited to receive this book as it was my first arc, I wanted to love it for that reason - however, it just was not for me, at all. I understood it to be a completely different type of book than what was received — I thought that I was receiving an adult romance, but instead it turned out to follow the main characters through high school.
Initially, I looked beyond the misleading storyline and enjoyed it at the start; Evy started school in a new town, making a new group of friends and meeting her new love interest. It was cute reading as their interest in each other began to develop and grow. Although, it quickly became repetitive and surrounded two teenagers that were obsessed with each other — the FMC’s entire personality was being obsessed with her boyfriend and the colour pink.
There was no real driving plot until around 70% of the way through, into the second part of the book. The writing and dialogue felt incredibly rigid and unnatural, which made it difficult to continue with.
In the end, it felt like Evy’s obsession with Jay went to a brazen stalker-level, she was still fixated on this man that wanted nothing to do with her, years later. She was exhausting…
The story ended with a supposed cliffhanger but it didn’t leave me interested enough to wait around for a second book.
I forced myself through this book, and it still took me three long weeks to get through. As a result, I ended up in such a reading slump as even the thought of reading made me feel so unenthused.
This book is everything!! I’m sooo in love with their story 🥺❤️ The ending really had me an emotional mess 😭😭 they’re literally perfect for each other. The cliffhanger omg!! I need to know what happened like rn !!😭❤️ I really can’t wait to read the second book cause I know they both deserve the world and the ending has me on edge. I’m really utterly heartbroken over this couple cause their love omg it’s like one in a lifetime thing.🫶🏻🫶🏻 This book is soooo worth the read so go grab ur copy and some tissues ❤️❤️
From the description, I thought this book would be set when the MCs were adults, but actually this is the prelude to it, it's more a YA book with some explicit scenes than the 2nd Chance adult book I was expecting. Because of that, I have mixed feelings about the book.
The book focusses in Evy and Jay when she's in high school. I did feel like the writing a slightly wooden/formal for this type of book and a lot was told, not shown between the characters and how they felt. I think that's why I found it hard to buy into all the character and the insta-lust/love between Evy and Jay, but I did warm to them in the second half of the book. The set up for the betrayal happened pretty close to the end of the book. Despite not loving how it played out, I was happy to have some conflict drive the plot, as previously everything seemed the characters wanted seemd to work out for them.
I wish this book was shorter and incorporated into the story that was detailed in the description. I felt this was mainly to set the scene of their love and the betrayal, and so there were scenes or chapters that I felt didn't massively add to their story or the plot.
That being said, I am patiently waiting for the next book as the cliff hanger this one ended on is the start of the book I thought this would be! I'm ready for all the angst and unpacking of the betrayal and the 6 years that followed.
I recieved an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.
The amount of times he said Sweetheart almost made me not finish the book. But I kept at it, and it did cramp my heart a bit with heartbreak- in a good way.
Omg ! This book was so well written that I felt all the emotions of the charcters which left me absolutely heart broken, especially toward the end ... At one point I was sobbing over a certain part (when you read it you will know!) I can whole heartedly say the writing style of this book was so easy to read and kept me engaged wanting more and I'm already on the edge of my seat counting down for book two !
This book was intense! An instant connection that ends in pain and heartbreak. The way Emberlynn captures the intensity of that first love is very well done, and the overwhelming sadness when it ends is something many of us can relate to.
It’s a wild ride of ups and downs but does get a bit slow/drawn out in the middle, and some of the dialogue is a bit robotic (“I am here” instead of “I’m here” etc), but other than that I enjoyed the book.
If a book features the Rockstar Romance trope, I’ll always want to read it. This is why I couldn’t resist reading From Me To You by Emberlynn Raine. This was the first book I read by this author, and I’m looking forward to reading more works from her, especially after this book stirred my emotions.
Please be aware that if you decide to read this book, there is a cliffhanger at the end. From Me To You serves as a prelude to Evy and Jay’s story, and the next book will continue from where this one concludes. The story is set in high school at the beginning, featuring mature themes, including mental health issues, death, and incidents of violence toward the end.
I enjoyed this book, but it made me frustrated, especially towards the end when certain decisions were made. I had to remind myself that the characters are high school students, and their choices might irritate me as a mom of teenagers. However, I know that for teenagers to learn and grow, they need to make decisions for themselves. I sometimes felt that this book wasn’t meant for me because I was constantly getting upset with the actions of the characters, especially Evy.
However, I tried to put myself in Evy’s shoes. She believed the decisions she was making were what was best for herself and Jay. Evy fell madly in love with Jay when she first met him, and he felt the same way about her. After graduating high school, Evy decides to join Jay and his band in LA while they try to sign with a record label. However, she soon realizes that there is a looming threat over her relationship with him. This leads her to make a choice that ultimately hurts both her and Jay. It broke my heart to witness what happened between them, but Evy was the one who set it in motion because she thought she was doing what was best for Jay. If only she had told him the truth. Jay was someone who would go to great lengths for her.
In the end, this situation will cost Evy not only her relationship with Jay but also her best friends. This book definitely put my emotions through the wringer. I’m curious about how Emberlynn Raine will have Evy, and Jay becomes lovers again after what Evy did to help make Jay’s dreams come true. Overall, I give this book 3.5 stars and would recommend it to readers who enjoy New Adult Romance stories, especially those that are part of a trilogy and end with a cliffhanger.
I’m onto the second book, so I can have my heart ripped to shreds again, but hopefully put back together because I need Evy and Jay to work things out.
What to Expect: 🎤High School/New Adult Romance 🎸Rockstar Romance 🎤First Love 🎸Lovers to Enemies 🎤Cliffhanger
On her first day at a brand new school Evelyn May stumbled onto something unexpected...Emerson Jayden Jameson. He was the definition of trouble, and in that moment trouble never looked so good. For a girl who had her future all mapped out she decided early on that nothing would ever derail her dream of attending Yale.
Then she met a boy. A gorgeous, easy to fall for, and oh so sweet boy, that had plans of his own. Ones that involved singing and playing gigs all over the world... a world very far from her.
From Me to You takes us into the lives of Jay and Evy, two people who weren't looking for love, but easily fell victim to it with just one glance at each other. Evy has big Ivy league dreams and falling for a boy in a band definitely does not fit her into her plans, but once she met Jay she knew they were meant for one another. He has big musical dreams, dreams that are about to take him all over the world, a world where Evy may not fit. It's easy to see they have a special connection, the forever kind of connection, but it's also easy to see that their dreams are about to take them into completely different directions. Long distance love is never easy and these two quickly find that they might not be cut out for it... or are they?
What I found waiting for me between the pages here was not only entertaining, but quite surprising too. I knew going into this one it'd be an emotional one, but nothing could have prepared me for the powerful emotional punch it packed. These two seriously wrecked me, and it's not over yet!! This story is one of those that leaves a mark, the kind of mark you feel days after finding the last page. These characters found their way into my heart and I have a feeling they're going to be there for a long while. I cannot wait to see what this author has planned for these two next, that cliffhanger was a killer! If you are a romance reader that likes stories that pack a serious emotional punch than you have to pick this one up, it's words will wrap around your heart and torture it in all the best ways. Highly recommend!
I requested an advanced copy of this title from the publisher and I am voluntarily leaving my honest and unbiased opinion.

Her Aunt Marie and Yale are slipping from her fingers. The priorities that she once held tight in her life before moving to Bellevue has changed. They met when they were 16 now ten years later Jays hates her and she still loves him. This ends in a cliffhanger that I didn’t expect. I thought the cliffhanger happened a while ago oh no..out emotional hearts has to be dragged a little bit more. Ma’am, no.
This is a mesmerizing tale that weaves together love, sacrifice, and resilience in a way that tugs at every heartstring. Evelyn and Jay's connection is magnetic and unforgettable. Their love story is not only passionate but also filled with the raw intensity of real life. Emberlynn's ability to bring their emotions to life is nothing short of remarkable. Every page is imbued with such vivid detail that it feels as if you're living alongside them, experiencing their highs and lows.
Evelyn's sacrifice for Jay is heart-wrenching yet inspiring, showcasing a strength and depth of love that is rare and beautiful. The portrayal of her journey, from the initial bliss to the inevitable heartbreak, is both poignant and powerful. This book left a lasting impact on my heart, and I couldn't put it down until the very end.
Emberlynn Raine has a gift for storytelling that shines brightly throughout this novel. As an indie author, her talent is truly remarkable, and I am eagerly looking forward to the rest of the Evy & Jay series. The cliffhanger at the end has me on the edge of my seat, eagerly awaiting the next installment to see where their journey takes them next.
Thank you, Emberlynn, for sharing this incredible story with the world. Your writing is a beacon of light, and I can't wait to read more from you. If you're looking for a deeply emotional and beautifully written love story, "From Me to You" is an absolute must-read.
Emberlynn Raine brings intense and heartfelt emotions in From Me to You for a dramatic and memorable story!
A love that felt so deep it seemed to be one connected at a higher level and meant to be, defined the romance of Jay and Evy. From the start this couple was drawn to each other with their attraction starting off as sweet and pure and building up to tainted and combustible The second half of this work took on a faster pace throwing emotional grenades at a rapid rate. The lack of maturity of Jay and Evy played a big part in all of their miscommunications and rose tinted love. One of the things that stood out in this story was the band dynamic, this author did a great job of subtly establishing it throughout this work without distracting from the love story of Jay and Evy.
Emberlynn Raine makes a solid debut and shows a lot of potential in From Me to You. This author's writing was at times rough around the edges but strong plotting made up for this. The angst and heartbreak of her portrayals translated well and this writer showed that she had a good handle on her characters emotions. Emberlynn Raine clearly loves writing and that carries over to her audience. From Me to You will leave readers eager to find out the fate of Evy and Jay's love in the next book!
*I was given an advanced copy. All opinions expressed are my own.* *This work ends on a cliffhanger.*
I LOVE a duet / trilogy book so I'm delighted this spans more than one book about the same couple.
This book is the start of Evy and Jay's and another favourite of mine where we are going to see this couple during high school but also as adults. I am 110% here for it!
Evy moves to Jay's school and integrates into Jay's friendship group and they fall in love. These two love each other something fierce and the way Jay is devoted to Evy is just swoon worthy! Because of that love Evy makes the biggest sacrifice ever to ensure Jay is successful even though it will destroy her and it's truly heart breaking to read, my heart was in my throat the entire time.
I'm absolutely dreading the repercussions in book 2 and I'm really hoping certain people don't get what they want/desire. I really don't like White!!!
Safety Warning: This book packs a punch. It ends on a cliff hanger of jaw dropping proportions. I really really don't want to say too much as this book is so worth the read, you can really feel the emotions come out through the page with plenty of angst!!! The way this author has built it up for the cliff hanger has me desperate to get my hands on the next book, I NEED to know what happened!
This is the beginning of Evy and Jay’s story and it was one that shattered my heart hoping and wishing things go certain ways and I devoured ever single page of it. When Evy and Jay first meet in school they couldn’t be more perfect for each other and as time goes on they become so close and the love they have for each other creates a bond that you think is strong enough to survive everything. watching the beginning of their love story seeing the glimpses of the past to the now sets us up for what’s to come because Evy has choices to make and it isn’t ones that are easy on either of them. This ends on a cliffhanger and it will utterly destroy you but knowing that there will be more books on this couple leaves you with hope that things will go the way you want and I can’t wait to see what happens. I really have a hatred for one character in this book and I know she will be a huge issue going forward even more so than the past but I’m so anticipating the karma that hopefully will come back around on this one. Such an emotional and heartfelt book that left me wanting more and I can’t wait for it!!
I had such a hard time rating this, I almost quit at the end because it got so emotionally exhausting. I even had a hard time sleeping because it just made me feel hurt, like, literally, my chest was hurting for these characters. It brought me back to my own years as a young adult like 18 years old navigating a first love. Being heartbroken and just how bad that feeling lingers. Now, this girl ends up living with the hurt for 6 years, and that could probably not be me. Evy is a girl new to town and her school, an aspiring writer with dreams of going to Yale. She quickly makes new friends who bring her in with open arms and finds herself falling for'Jay' the lead singer of the Four Foxes. Something she considers written in the stars a thread that has bound their souls together. Jay is an aspiring music artist with dreams of taking their band worldwide. After meeting Evy, his world gets turned upside down and can not see himself living without her. Jay gives her the world, but will Evy sacrifice her heart to make sure Jay gets everything he has ever dreamed of? Evy experiences so much loss and heartbreak for a girl who deserves nothing but happiness.
First love Upcoming rockstar High school romance Soulmates
~ BOOK REVIEW ~
Okay so I went into this ARC blind! But honestly I liked it, it’s definitely a YA story! It starts off with the characters in high school and goes on from there to the summer before college!
Which I kind of like, it was refreshing to read a YA romance that kept me interested. And this one did.
Now for the actual story it was sort of your typical high school romance. Two teenagers who fell hopelessly in love and thought it will be happy ever after! And life would be easy and so on!
I won’t say Anymore! Because of spoilers! But I will say that if your looking for a YA read, then from me to you is a book that I would recommend!
It has good characters! It has a great story, with a few interesting moments that I didn’t expect.
It does end of cliffhanger! And I’m currently waiting patiently for book 2 because I need to know how the characters story is going to end. I’m very invested and cannot wait 😊
From Me To You ( Evy & Jay ) book 1 Well I really was just taken on the ride of my life and completely blown away in all the best ways possible ( From Me To You was and is perfection absolute perfection, the type of love story that has the ability to make you smile, make you laugh, tear your heart in two and keep you rooting from start to finish. It’s simply so beautiful and so emotionally charged there are moments you’ll feel like you don’t know which way is up and which was is down . Evy and Jays love story is the type we all wish to have one day ( sure it’s not perfect and there are many ups and downs . It’s a bit of a enemies to lovers vibe ( and in between all the hate is a beautiful friendship that withstands the test of time ) i honestly do not think i got one ounce of sleep once I started reading because it’s seriously that addictive. EMBERLYNN is a new author to be of which honestly cannot believe . Because where have I been and why have I not read her books before now ? Shaking my head !!!! Now I need to know how it all turns out so to await the next book patiently
The first half of this book was super sweet. We see Evy and Jay fall in love and have that instant connection. Then in the second half, the drama, angst, and stress start because you know how it's going to end, but you still can't stop reading.
Honestly, I thought it was a completed series, but I just realized this book came out this year. And it ends on a cliffhanger.
To summarize, spoiler alert:
Evy purposely ruins her relationship with Jay and all the band members (who are her closest friends). She does this so Jay can fulfill his dream.
Additionally, her aunt dies, and she discovers she has a huge debt to pay.
Someone attacks her and injures her leg (we still don't know who), and from what I read, she ends up with a limp.
Evy moves to New York (it's been 6 years since they broke up) and works as a maid in some penthouses. And then Jay walks in and sees her. That's how this book ends.
Sorry for all the spoilers, but I don't know when the second part of this book will come out. So, when it does, this will remind me of what happened in the first one.
