Joseph Britten MurphyJoe Murphy is the son of a soldier and was born in Aldershot. He joined the Parachute Regiment as a boy and early in his career he won awards for outstanding achievement and skills of weaponry, field craft and general fitness and ability. After service with the Parachute Regiment, Joe eventually trained and was accepted into the Special Air Service. He went on to serve in many different theatres of combat and undertook a number of covert missions on behalf of the government. Amongst the most notable; Joe was involved in the Gulf War where he was sent behind enemy lines to disarm Scud missiles that were being targeted towards Israel and to Kuwait. On leaving the service Joe decided to set up a security business that sold and fitted security alarms, offered advice and support in all types of security and also provided a private detective service. Joe then designed a very gruelling endurance training course that was aimed at young business executives for character building and developing leadership skills. Joe used his service experience and knowledge to organise one of the finest endurance training courses in the country. During one of the endurance courses an incident drew Joe into a deadly adventure of intrigue and great danger that was to change his life and nature of business for the future. Joe became heavily involved in the world of organised crime. His eagerness to track down a notorious drugs baron, and to discover and eliminate those that were a threat to him and to his family, led him into some death defying escapades and tests of his own personal endurance.
