Hajj is a blessed and wonderful journey which gives a person a sense of spiritual upliftment and a feeling of closeness to Allah. However, if one is not adequately prepared, in all aspects, ie. physically, mentally and spiritually, one can go through this once-in-a-lifetime journey without gaining the desired effect and worse still, one may return feeling somewhat unfulfilled. This book aims to prepare a person for this spiritual journey, from well before departure to the return home, leaving no stone unturned in explaining even the minor details, which many other Hajj books fail to deliver. An excellent endeavour to fully equip the soon-to-be Haaji as well as for those who are taking others for Hajj.
It's an easy read. But still there are Arabic terms scattered throughout that make it difficult to read. I know it's encouraged to learn the Arabic terms but everyone needs a starting point to learn. I think my read through this could have benefited from some definitions. Otherwise though, it's a quick read and lots of tips given here. Keep in mind this book is dated - published in 2012 I think and some arrangements have already apparently changed. For instance, the major construction activity in Makkah has finally completed so I would imagine there are many improvements since then.
