Review:
This is sex; chapter after chapter after chapter, once it hits the 25% mark (I think???). 🫠
Nash and Zoey were two grown adults who knew how to f*ck each other's brains out but never knew how to freaking communicate. Ngl, I kind of enjoyed the first half, but then it got so repetitive and boring after quite some time. They barely talk, and if they have issues, they resolve them using sex all the freaking time! I don't believe they were in love, in lust, though? I'm 100% sure. 🥲
In the present time, Zoey and Nash have known each other for almost two years. I think his brother was married to her cousin or something like that. I haven't read any books by this author, and let me tell you, there were so many side characters to keep track of. 🥴 Anyway, Nash said that it was love at first sight for him the moment he saw Zoey, but she was in a relationship back then, making her off-limits. 😶 And her relationship lasted for two years because her ex didn't want to commit to her. She broke things off, and even though she still believes she was in love with the OM, she went ahead and got married (Vegas wedding) to Nash not even a week later. Well, tbf, he was persistent, and he took this chance to finally shoot his shot. And she's weak and horny, so she gave in to him. 🤷♀️
The next day, after their wedding, she said it was a mistake but didn't really fight about it much. And this was how she acted for the entirety of the story; she would get annoyed at him for something, but then one touch, one kiss, or even a smile, and she went putty for him. 🤦♀️ Zoey pissed the crap out of me and gave me a headache. She has no other personality aside from being horny all the time for Nash. 😑 He wasn't any better; this guy has a one-track mind, and that was to f*ck her at all times, or most times, rather. But he's thoughtful; I'll give him that. Anyway, he asked her to give him 90 days to make her fall in love with him and for her to do the same. She agreed, and I guess readers know how the story goes. 🙈
I didn't feel any chemistry between these two; I think it's probably because all they ever did in this book was go at it like bunnies. Idk, it took away any buildup because there's nothing really going on, and if I'm being honest, I don't think this has any plot at all. 😐 I'm also not going to lie and say that I didn't get the urge to DNF this. Because I did on numerous occasions, mind you, I'm actually surprised at how I was able to finish it. But I pushed through, despite the annoyance. Idk, maybe I was hoping something exciting would happen, but alas, I only got disappointment and frustration.
Overall, it didn't work for me, but, idk, other readers might find this more their cup of tea. 🤷♀️

Notes:
— OMD. Her ex went to LA from NY to ask her if they could get back together, even though she's already married. She went to meet with him to tell him it's over and for him to stop contacting her. But Nash crashed that dinner, and they ended up leaving together.
— OWD1. Nash's ex appeared at one point and kissed him close enough on his lips while he was holding Zoey by his side (he did try to step away, but the woman was holding him and standing too close). Then this ex came up to Zoey, at one point, acting all catty and telling her that she's not the first one to try changing Nash. Again, they ended up leaving together.
— OWD2. Not really, but his assistant was interested in him and has been subtly blocking Zoey's attempt whenever she wanted to approach him in the office. And Nash fired her at the end of the book.
— No V. No real info on how long it has been for both of them. But knowing that Zoey just got out of a relationship, I think it's good enough to assume that it's only been a few weeks for her. As for Nash, there was no info either, but at the 60% mark, one of his close friends told Zoey that he couldn't believe Nash would settle down because he was the type that
"likes to play the field and keep his options open"
. So, idk, I guess it's safe to say that even though he was crushing/pining on her for the last two years, he was still sexually active. I'm not sure how to feel about this because the rational side of me knew that it shouldn't make me feel annoyed because, after all, Zoey was in a relationship. But the unreasonable side of me is pissed because in the story, Nash kept saying that he knew right from the first time he saw Zoey that she's different, she's it for him, and she's the one he's going to marry. Yet reading between the lines and just the impression I got from his character, I knew he didn't play saint in the last two years. 😑 But idk, do what you want with that info. I just wish his past wasn't mentioned at all; ignorance is really a bliss at this point.
