A delightful set of poems about old Ireland. Though I'm not much of one for poetry, these easily held my attention and brought pictures to mind of the places and people of Ireland. Found on Project Gutenberg while seeking a title with "Shamrock" for a March challenge.

A delightful set of poems which bring the rolling green hills of Ireland and it's sparkling blue sea to life...and this coming from someone who isn't usually a poetry girl, and has enjoyed it far more than her current fiction read!

I really enjoyed At Killybegs and The Cripple. Man and Maid, Low Tide, Irish Lass and Irish Idyll made me smile, while The Bohareen had a lovely wistful air.

I hope that one day I get to cross The Irish Sea and visit that country!

Thanks to Hannah who found this book for our Irish challenge this month and gave a lovely review which inspired me to find a copy of my own. I'm glad to have read it, and it provided some welcome respite between the chapters of the other book I'm still trying to read for the same challenge!
