My high school sweetheart left me to pursue his fortune–and I still have to spend every Christmas with him.
It’s what I get for falling in love with the boy next door. His parents are my parents’ best friends, so even though we went down in flames, every Christmas we had to stay in the same crappy cabin together stuffed with holiday cheer while our families revel in their perfect lives.
I’m not trying to be a scrooge about the whole thing, but it’s hard to be stuck in a snowy cabin with my first love.
For Christmas present, things have changed. We’re getting a cabin upgrade and Charlie is NOT flying in with his family…
Because I’m his ride.
A ploy from our mothers, no doubt.
And now I’m stuck in a car with the man who broke my heart.
He seems different this year–humble and generous. But I swore that I’m done with dating in the city–I want a small town, charming man in my life, not the disastrous finance and tech bros on the dating apps.
But I still see the ghosts of his past self, though, and after all these years, Charlie’s decided he wants me back.
I doubt he’s changed that much–he’s still a workaholic, and he amassed his new wealth through drive, ambition, and going for exactly what he wants.
I spent ten years traveling the world on a sailboat with my husband. He is not a secret rockstar, nor a grumpy farmer, nor a coworker I accidentally saw naked. I only see him naked intentionally.
Many of my books are based on my travels all over the world – from the Caribbean to Polynesia to Europe. I know exactly how big the world is—having sailed around it—and exactly how small it is, having bumped in to friends worldwide. I’ve been a dishwasher, an engineer, a CEO, and occasionally I get paid to write or sail.
Now I’m in my small town era, both in fiction and real life. I live in Western Massachusetts with a big backyard that would be perfect for a goat if only SOMEONE would let me have one. I like my men to be sweethearts, the bedroom door wide open (with a splash of something new!) and the women to be independent and mature.
I thought this was super cute.I am in my holiday novella season and have been early this year so this was just what I was looking for. Bea and Charlie broke up after long distance didn't work for them in college. Charlie had it in his head that he needed to make something of himself to be able to deserve Bea and each year he saw her at their families shared Christmas and each year he didn't feel good enough. This year felt different. He thought he was going to have the money and the time to come back and finally get what he wanted, Bea. While I thought parts were a little far fetched, I appreciated the adorableness of the story. The tension was there and palpable and it made me smile. Charlie and Bea had been with others, but it was inevitable that they would come back together and they never forgot one another. Sometimes the right person can come along at the wrong time and you just have to wait till it all falls into place. I loved her family and sisters too.
This was a super cute and fun read! I really liked the banter between Bea and Charlie. I literally laughed out loud several times! I could also relate to Bea in many aspects. The storyline wasn’t anything new but it was an easy, fast and enjoyable read. If you are looking for a super Christmas-y story, this is probably not it. It was mostly focused on Bea, Charlie and their family who just happen to be spending Christmas together, but they had great chemistry! All in all a great romance novella!

Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read this ARC.
I loved this sweet and spicy novella. I would have loved a full length novel to be honest. I jump for joy when I receive anything written by Liz Alden. I just love her work. In the Ghost of Ex-Mas Past, Bea and Charlie are forced into a combined family weekend celebrating Christmas together. The two earn their chance at second chance 8 years after their first go round, and IT IS SPICY.
This is such a perfect Christmas novella! The pacing is fast but you get so much in terms of plot! Liz Alden is the QUEEN of novellas! If you want something to get you in the holiday spirit or knock down your reading goals, highly recommend this.
ARC Book Review Ghost of Ex-mas Past A Novella Written By Liz Alden Fiction - Romance Published October 2024 177 Pages ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This is a spicy second chance romance that takes place during the holiday season. Bea Cummings and Charlie Dunsky were childhood friends whose families have always spent Christmas together. They started dating in high school. Charlie broke Bea’s heart when their relationship ended while they were in college. Eight years later they will be spending Christmas together in the small town of Here, New York in the Catskills. Now adults with good jobs, Bea and Charlie see each other a little differently. Are they both ready to rekindle their relationship?
This book will get you in the holiday spirit. It is loaded with holiday vibes - skiing, making snowmen, nights around the fire, and small town shopping.
With the holidays approaching who doesn't love a story centered around Christmas? Every year since they can remember Bea and Charlie have spent Christmas together since their parents are best friends. They were friends until they because more than that. They loved each other but when college distance got too much they broke up. But now Charlies realizes, 8 years later, that the lavish lifestyle he has doesn't mean anything without Bea in it. Does she still care for him? Will she give their relationship another shot?
This story is cute and it has just the right amount of spice. Great second chance romance!
Thanks to NetGalley and Liza Alden for allowing me to review this ARC!
Such a cute holiday book! Short and romantic and perfect for the holidays to read . With a nice hot cup of cocoa. The second chances aspect was nice and the unexpected reencounter between Charlie and Bea was a long time coming. These two were so cute together and the new things they learned about one another only enhanced their steamy scenes. I liked reading their story and the ending was sweet.
This is a good book. The two main characters are Bea and Charlie. They were high school sweethearts but broke up when Charlie went away to college. Eight years later at Christmas, they are together with their families to celebrate Christmas. There is still an attraction. They each have issues but together they work them out and fall in love.
I loved this second-chance romance. This was like a comfort read to me. I love Alden's writing style and I love the flow of her books. I'm not normally a second-chance romance fan but this one hit the spot perfectly! I loved both main characters and enjoyed the close proximity and how they reconnected.
If you are looking for a quick, steamy, endearing holiday romance, I recommend this one! 4.5 rounded up.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own
Oh my gosh, this was one of the most adorable romances I have ever read, and just the thing to kick off my holiday reading. Such a large group of quirky, fascinating characters and I loved every single one of them.
Susan and Gary Dunsky and Erik and Jody Cummings have been best friends for a long time. Lived next door to each other for a time, their kids grew up together (Bea, Kayla, Naomi, and Yvette Cummings and Charlie Dunsky) and they have had a holiday tradition for years and years and years to spend Christmas together in a little cabin. Idyllic, right? Even more idyllic when Bea and Charlie fell in love and everyone knew their perfect lives would go on and on. Except Charlie went off to college, became a money-making workaholic and that was that. No more Bea and Charlie. Christmas isn’t quite as Christmas-y trying to avoid each other in a crappy little cabin in Pithole, Pennsylvania.
Bea and Charlie have moved on with their lives. She has a good job and a great boss, but not really any friends except those she works or rooms with and tells herself relationships don’t work out because she doesn’t have time for them. Charlie has his own company, makes lots and lots of money and is a success, isn’t he? Except the pressure has taken a toll and there are things he’s never shared with anyone, especially Bea.
Charlie is a tender spot in Bea’s heart that won’t quite heal, but she’ll manage. Christmas this year will be better: they’re going to a different place, a cabin in Here, NY, and Charlie’s name wasn’t on any of the planning lists so she assumes he won’t be there. Sign of relief. Except the rideshare from New York City to Here that she expected to be her sister turns out to be Charlie. And the location isn’t the only thing different this year; Charlie seems different. More relaxed and his focus seems to be not on work and money but on her. Can her heart handle it?
What follows that car ride is hilarious moments, tender, sweet, heartbreaking conversations – and heat. Lots and lots of heat. But is there more than heat, enough for an HEA?
Ghost of Ex-Mas Past is charming, delightful, fun. Every family member is unique and interesting. Charlie is so sweet, so concerned, so sometimes caveman. Pretty nearly perfect. Come to think of it, maybe it’s the name, because every book I’ve read lately with a Charlie in it was pretty nearly perfect. Thanks to author Liz Alden for writing a story that drew me in and wouldn’t let me put it down and for providing an advance copy for my reading pleasure. Already a favorite author, this is another Liz Alden gem for my collection. I voluntarily leave this review; all opinions are my own.
“What better person to fall in love with than your best friend?”
Ghost of Ex-Mast Past is the perfect book to get out of a reading slump. It is a short read (174 pages) very fast paced, but with all the necessary information, all at once (no plot hole or huge missing parts, especially for the sentimental journey, as it’s so often the case in novellas). I love second chance stories, and Bea & Charlie’s isn’t the exception. This is a soft and tender one, like a pretty and cosy plaid you’d curled into during winter, in front of a crackling fire. One more time, Liz Alden delivered the book I needed, when I needed it (but didn’t know I did). Like the other book I read from that author, I read it in one go. Pages turn by themselves, characters are super fleshy, you just have to let yourself be carried away by the story and the feelings. In one word, this book is perfect to get into the Holidays season! And Liz Alden remains one of my auto-read authors.
Thank you Liz Alden and NetGalley for the ARC. My opinions are my own.
My high school sweetheart left me to pursue his fortune–and I still have to spend every Christmas with him. It’s what I get for falling in love with the boy next door. His parents are my parents’ best friends, and for every Christmas past we’ve had to stay in the same crappy cabin together stuffed with holiday cheer while our families revel in their perfect lives. I’m not trying to be a scrooge about the whole thing, but it’s hard when I’m chained to my job in New York City. For Christmas present, things have changed. We’re getting a cabin upgrade and Charlie is NOT flying in with his family… Because he’s my ride. When our meddling families “arranged transportation” for us, it was all a ploy. And now I’m stuck in a car with the man who broke my heart, trying desperately not to think of a Christmas yet to come with him or remember why I fell in love with him in the first place. And he seems different this year–more humble and generous. I still see the ghosts of his past self, though, and he amassed his wealth through drive, ambition, and going for exactly what he wants. And what he wants this Christmas…is me.
Bea works in New York for Heartly. She loves her job as the administrative assistant for the owner but the job consumes a lot of her time. She doesn’t have time to date or have much of a social life. Charlie owns Rivrse, a successful company that keeps him very busy. He wants to sell his company so he can start the next chapter of his life. When Bea and Charlie are thrown together for the annual families Christmas trip, will they manage to avoid each other or rekindle the love they had years ago?
The author chose to create two successful characters who are at the same points in their lives but who aren’t honest with the people around them about what they want. This leads to a lot of situations where the characters don’t understand each other’s motivations and then they have to talk to break through to the other side. I understand why Bea felt betrayed by Charlie when he left for college ten years ago. From her perspective he left her in the dust. I understand why Charlie was so driven to be successful. I was rooting for them to work through their issues and find happiness on the other side. The thing that stood out to me was that the author included Charlie’s struggles with success. It was well thought out and added to the overall story. There are plenty of side characters but mostly they are just decoration for the main story.
The one thing I couldn’t fully grasp is how they have spent time together over the past eight years and never worked out any of their issues. The author includes information about them avoiding each other but how do they avoid each other when they are literally crammed into a rental house with both families?
This is a contemporary romance that takes place in New York City and the Catskills. This is a second chance romance, family togetherness story. I enjoyed the story and will definitely read more from this author in the future.

Charlie and Bea are high school sweethearts who broke up 8 years ago. Still, their families have remained close and spend every Christmas together. So the holidays have been a little tense! But this Christmas, Charlie is determined to win back Bea!
This was a sweet second chance romance between two appealing MCs. Charlie and Bea are well-developed and though some of the details are a bit fuzzy, the emotional weight of their history was clearly established. The Upstate setting of Here, NY added to the coziness of the Christmas setting. That the families are renting a house together also added a fun dash of forced proximity. I just loved the holiday vibes and the close connection between the families. The dad jokes, family traditions, and small town charm abound. Alden has established was a great setting for this novella.
The one downside for me oddly stems from the books strengths. There are so many great family scenes, and some explosive physical chemistry between the Charlie and Bea. However, the downside to that is a feeling that their getting back together happened more in their heads or off page than through character communication. Alden establishes that it’s been eight years of awkward encounters and mostly radio silence. Then they pick up a physical relationship and don’t really talk about anything more until the last few chapters. It just felt like there should have been more than one conversation about what their new relationship would be.
Despite that, I did enjoy the book overall. And I’d gladly revisit the story if it makes it to audiobook, This one definitely kindled my holiday spirit! And seeing Kit (from ButterYou Up) pop up for a fun scene made me smile. I’m really looking forward to his story!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
This was a perfect short holiday read. Bea and Charlie were high school sweethearts and each other’s first love. It was the boy/girl next-door. Their families are best friends, and it was always assumed that they would get together. It was not assumed was the breakup that happened. These two have to see each other every year on Christmas.
Fast-forward almost a decade and Charlie now lives in the same city as Bea. Through her busy schedule and not reading her emails, Bea unknowingly, agrees to drive Charlie to the cabin.
Going to a new place this year , Bea is hoping to find a small town, hallmark lumberjack, a good meet cute and a potential new love interest. What Bea doesn’t know is the real reason Charlie and her broke up and that he’s determined to win her back.
Charlie will not let anyone get in his way of winning back his first love and the love of his life. Through witty banter, cute moments like splitting wood they find themselves reconnecting. In body and mind. The spice is the perfect amount and adds a little flavor to complete all the feels.
But when the relationship is put to the test again, while Charlie fall into old patterns or will he step up and communicate with Bea this time?
If you love ❄️ second chance at first love ❄️ families are friends ❄️ spice ❄️ hotties splitting wood ❄️ it’s always been you ❄️happily ever after ❄️holiday short reads Add this to your TBR!.

I feel a great weight has fallen on me as well as an honour to be the first person to review a book. This is my first Christmas book of the season and a real beauty it is too. I'm reading it from an Island called Gran Canaria off the coast of North West Africa and it's hot. 28 degrees to be precise. This book however took me right into the crisp, cold snowy season that I love so much. I have read the previous books by this author but this really can be read as a stand alone. It's a second chance romance set during a family gathering but has a bit more grit to it than just a light and fluffy novel. I don't give spoilers so for more of the intricacies of the tale you will need to read other reviews as they get written. I liked that our two main characters had a real depth to them, our man has anxiety issues which is good to read that a man has flaws. More often than not the male has to be strong and alpha and not show any weaknesses. I liked that we see how the anxiety affects our main man. There is also some very well written sex scenes that do not over power the book but enhance it. However you have been warned of you are shy reading about intimate scenes. It's so beautifully described that it's hot and not cringworthy. So a great tale, some lovely characters, a town that I've met before called Here, and some place called the Catskills, which I'll have to look up as I have no idea exactly where they are and what they look like. They do sound rather lovely though.
This was a cute and lighthearted read, perfect for a quiet and relaxing afternoon. However, two elements didn't quite work for me, and lost the book one star each: - The title, blurb, and description made it seem like this would be a perfect Holiday read, full of Christmas elements. I'm really happy I didn't read it around the Holidays because then my rating would've been lower. Christmas was in the background the whole time, it could've been set on any other week of the year and it wouldn't have changed anything. Unfortunately, it didn't deliver on this part. - We know that Bea and Charlie have spent 8 Christmases together ever since they split up. Not one, not three, but EIGHT Christmas holidays together, so eight years, but suddenly we are meant to believe he's changed and wants a second chance with her? It didn't make any sense to me how two people who still felt an amazing chemistry toward each other, could spend a week a year together in a house for eight years, and not rekindle the romance or even have a quickie in the bathroom for old times sake. I'm sorry but this part was ridiculous and ruined the mood for me. I kept going back at it while reading and was distracted until the end.
Overall the book is, again, a nice and light read, but nothing special and especially not as Christmas-themed as I was led to believe.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.
"Ghost of Ex-mas Past" by Liz Alden is such a fun read! It's a super spicy novella that blends that Hallmark-Christmas-in-the-cabin-vibe with fun family characters, an engaging plot, and lots of chemistry between years-ago high school sweethearts.
The two main characters, Bea and Charlie, were not only each other's first loves but also best friends and neighbors, and their parents are still best friends to this day. After a messy breakup during Charlie's first year of college, it's been hard to see each other during every holiday or major family event over the past eight years. Something changes this year, and wow, do the sparks fly!
Alden's writing style is full of humor, which makes it even more enjoyable. I had several laugh-out-loud moments! The novella's length is perfect for a cozy evening read, and the holiday setting (escape from the big city to a small quaint town) adds an extra layer of charm. I loved the dual narrative of Bea and Charlie, allowing a deeper perspective into their characters' points of view, thoughts, and feelings.
Overall, "Ghost of Ex-mas Past" was a quick, fun, and enjoyable read! I look forward to reading more of Alden's books.
Thank you, #NetGalley and #LizAlden, for the ARC in exchange for my honest review. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. #GhostofExmasPast
This was a cute holiday read. I liked both Charlie and Bea as characters and really enjoyed their family dynamic. I only wish there was a little more romance. We know that they were once sweethearts but split 8 years ago when Charlie went off to college and left Bea behind. They've also spent all those Christmases together since then with their families, but didn't rekindle that relationship and kept their distance. So now it's 8 years later and they're once again spending Christmas together in NY with their families. Charlie is trying to sell his company so he can take a step back and start a family with the love of his life, Bea. She doesn't know any of that when the book begins though. But after Bea pushes him off for a while, she gives in and they start their romance back up. But the romance was so abrupt and short that it honestly didn't feel believable to me. We're told they were perfect together in the past and we only get a small glimpse into their current life together over just a few days. So I wasn't feeling the intense connection that I should have felt with a couple who had spent so many years together. I'd have rather been shown than told they loved each other. I'm a fan of this author and enjoyed the last book, so I still recommend this series to those who like a sweet Christmas-like romance.
I am so, so impressed! I can’t believe how much Liz Alden was able to pack into this little 170 page novel! This was the best possible way I could start off my holiday reads.
The winter wanderlust series follows a bunch of different couples and their holiday themed stories, and while I previously read Nutcracker with Benefits, this one really blew that out of the water for me. This is a second chance romance between Charlie and Bea, who were childhood sweethearts who couldn’t make it work when they separated during their college years. They’re both looking to start families of their own now; and fortunately have kept some manner of close because their families are best friends. Now that they’re both living in the same city, Charlie is determined to win Bea back.
The holiday antics in this are top notch: two big lovable families sharing a big beautiful cabin and practicing all manner of Christmas traditions together. There’s forced proximity, second chance romance, toe-curling spice, a lovable larger cast, a relatively short third act upset, and overall quite good communication between everyone involved. I also found it to be genuinely funny, which is something I absolutely need in my romance books.
I’d skipped over the second book in this series, frosty proximity, but definitely realizing now that I’ll need to download it ASAP. I had so much fun with this! Thank you to Liz Alden and NetGalley for this eArc!
🗽Bea is an efficient PA, living a single life in New York, sharing with her roommates and keeping her head down. She’s from a small town but has made a life for herself.
🎄There are endless plans for the Christmas holidays being made by her parents and sisters, and Bea unknowingly agrees to giving her ex -boyfriend, literally the “boy next door”, a lift to the Upstate New York house the two families are renting for the holidays.
🚙Charlie and Bea broke up eight years ago, the long distance and his intense focus on studying and starting his own tech business just didn’t work. But he’s at a different place in his life, and knows that there’s no one like Bea for him.
📚This story is the third in a holiday-themed series of novellas from Liz Alden, and while there are overlapping characters in the three stories, this one stands up by itself as well. Also, although it’s a novella, there is more than enough of a story to ensure nothing is glossed over or rushed. I enjoyed the way that the pair were able to be honest and open about their previous relationship, their needs and their feelings. The supportive family and friends are the cherry on the top ❤️

In this second chance Xmas romance, 10 years ago, Bea and Charlie were best friends and HS sweethearts but their relationship did not survive after Charlie left their small town to go to Stanford while Bea stayed home and started working.
Because their parents are best friends, the families typically spend Xmas week and other major holidays/life events together but Bea and Charlie otherwise have no contact. Both have tried to move on with others, but neither has been able to sustain a serious relationship. However, this time, Charlie is determined to see if there might be some life still in their relationship, while Bea feels her defenses against him weakening.
There was plenty of spice, fun banter, and cozy, small town winter vibes in this romance, perfect for the season. I also loved that both Bea and Charlie were not perfect. Bea admittedly was lonely and was coming to realize that she held everyone at arms length. Charlie occasionally had strong anxiety attacks and had learned how to cope with them through therapy. Overall, a fun Xmas themed novella, perfect to put you in the holiday mood. My thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an advance copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions in this review are my own.
It took a minute for me to get into this one. I understood both sides of the argument when Bea and Charlie were in college. Charlie never wanted to worry about money the way his parents did. So he threw himself into his education and built a tech company from the ground up. Bea just wanted Charlie and would have been content living modestly. I think they were just too young to see the bigger picture and so broke up.
Their families are best friends and get together every Christmas. Because who doesn’t want to spend their holiday with their ex?! There were a lot of side characters to try to keep straight. I stopped trying to remember who was who. Charlie is selling his company so he can live off the money and start a family. Bea works a lot too but has a better sense of balance now. They end up sharing more than the Christmas spirit before the inevitable shit hits the fan. Bea could have been a little more understanding at the third act breakup. Or at least asked him about it. They work it out though.

Bea and Charlie are used to spending Christmases together, even in the 8 years since their breakup. Their families are close, and they've learned how to navigate any awkwardness that might come up. Except this year, Bea has accidentally volunteered to give Charlie a ride to the house their families have rented. And they're both starting to think more seriously about their futures...
Second-chance romances can be really hit or miss for me--I have to really see how the characters and/or circumstances have changed in order to really root for them, and I have to say I was sucked in right from the beginning. The childhood friends to lovers to exes felt very natural and right from the beginning I wanted things to work out between them. I loved both characters, as well as the family dynamics, and loved getting to see characters from a previous book as well. And the spice was, as usual, very good!
As always, I absolutely loved this Liz Alden book! I've been in a massive reading slump lately, as well as dealing with a move and some pretty intense illness, and when I was finally able to sit down and read it, I flew through it in one sitting.
Ghosts of Ex-mas Past by Liz Alden, oct 2024 This is such a sweet feel-good holiday book. Charlie and Bea grew up together as next-door neighbors. Their families were best friends and did everything together including spending Christmas as one big family. That is until something happens that forces one family to move to another town. Charlie and Bea had dated for a while and shared so many firsts. Then their relationship ended. They are forced together in a car ride to the destination of their families’ annual holiday get together. Can they stand being in the same car together for hours? Will their relationship rekindle? Will they find their way back to each other? They are both sweet people and funny. They try to hide their attraction and lust for each other but the only people being fooled are the 2 of them. Everyone else sees right through them. I always enjoy Liz Alden books. She writes heartwarming stories about adults trying to find their way back to love. This is a wonderful holiday romance with lots of love, laughs and a bit of squirm. I loved it.
Why would two ex's spend the past eight Christmas's together? Evidently both sets of parents were best friends and it's traditional for the two families to spend Christmas together. Awkward? Evidently not. Even so, spending so many years with your ex seems sad and pitiful.
Charlie's company name annoyed the heck out of me. Every time I came across Rivrse, it halted my concentration and wondered about the correct pronunciation. And the takeover company, ImmUniverse, another weird name which doesn't exactly roll off the tongue, can't see it appearing in the Fortune 500 list.
I didn't hate the book, but due my lack of empathy with Bea and Charlie, I didn't love it either,
The writing is good, it's light entertainment but I'll probably forget all about it within hours.
With thanks to the author and NetGalley for a complimentary copy of this book, this review is my personal, unbiased opinion.
Ghost of Ex-Mas Past by Liz Alden left me surprised as it made me quickly fall in love with Bea and Charlie. Second chances has always been one of my favorite tropes to read. The dad jokes were a bonus, and Bea’s dad was funny. His dry humor had me rolling my eyes throughout. The big family and the love that was written in the characters added so much warmth to the story, and I found myself loving those lighter moments as much as the swoony ones. What really made this book unputdownable was the chemistry between Bea and Charlie. By the end, I was desperate for more time with them—Bea and Charlie are a couple I’d love to see more of! If you're looking for a feel-good holiday romance that has both heart and humor, this book is perfect. The story left me with a big smile and a warm feeling in my heart.

If like me you love a good holiday season read no further than Ghost of Ex-Mast Past by Liz Aiden. This is Bea and Charlie’s second chance at love and their story is what Hallmark Movies are made of. Bea and Charlie were Highschool sweethearts but when they went to different colleges their relationship didn’t survive long distance. But their families are friends and that means spending every holiday together even when they didn’t want to be in the same room as each other. Charlie always thought Bea was the one that got away but he needed to better himself so will this Christmas finally be the year he could prove he is worthy of a second chance……will Christmas work its magic, one click to find out. This was a magical, holiday read, it has wonderful characters and a wonderful story that’s well written. I was captivated from the first page to the last line, I smiled annd I swooned, I laughed and I giggled and I highly recommend this gem of a read.
5 Star Review Ghost of Ex-mas Past (Winter Wanderlust #3) by Liz Alden
Liz Alden is a relatively new author to me and I am surprised I have not read or listened to more from this author before.
I love stories set around the holidays. It’s a time for celebration with family and friends. That’s what Bea and Charlie do every year since their parents are best friends. However complicating issues is that they once dated.
I loved this second chance love story. Both sets of parents meddling to get their kids back together added an extra layer to the story.
I fell hard and fast for Bea and Charlie, they are such wonderful characters and so easy to relate too. This book ticked all the boxes for me from the first to the last chapter. I love romantic comedy stories and this was a good example of the genre.
