The evening will begin with a feast of flavors, followed closely by the discovery of the death of Lila Reed, the Farm's matriarch.

Lyssa’s life is further complicated by the spectral presence of her father, Jimi Jones, whose ghostly guidance is as unpredictable as Iowa’s weather in the summer. Talk about pulling you in! I stayed up way past my bedtime for two nights in a row in order to finish this book, which, more often, than not, made my pulses pound. As a special side note: whenever there`s mention of an animal, the author especially shines – no wonder, since she is a former veterinarian. Disclaimer: I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
A Taste of Bliss" is an engaging mix of savory dishes, quirky characters, and a gripping murder mystery that kept me hooked from start to finish. The story opens with a mouthwatering feast, followed quickly by the shocking discovery of Lila Reed’s death, the matriarch of Reed Farm. From there, the drama unfolds as Lyssa Jones, along with a colorful cast of characters, delves into the investigation.
What sets this book apart is how seamlessly it blends a compelling mystery with humor and heart. The dynamic between Lyssa and her late father, Jimi, whose ghost offers both advice and mischief, adds a delightful and unpredictable layer to the plot. There’s also the tension surrounding Lyssa’s personal life, especially with the enigmatic Finnegan Blackwell, which adds a tantalizing sub-plot of its own.
The murder of Lila Reed is surrounded by a strong buffet of suspects, each with their own secrets, and the potential for a conspiracy involving corrupt politicians and ambitious investors. The twists and turns of the investigation keep you guessing, and just when you think you have it figured out, the story throws in a new clue that challenges your assumptions.
The addition of a blind puppy named Stevie Nicks adds a charming touch to the story, infusing it with light-hearted moments amidst the intrigue. The combination of suspense, humor, and heart makes the investigation at Reed Farm an absolute deligh
This wasn't really my cup of tea, although you may love it. For me, the characters were either Good or Evil, and it was obvious immediately which side of that equation they were on. Everything fell into place for the "good" (and of course, attractive) people. When someone comes to town needing a job and a place to stay, and has both of those things - AND a cute puppy to boot! - in 5 minutes flat, it doesn't endear me to the book. Under all of that there was a fairly good mystery, so I didn't hate it. But there were no surprises. It seemed like a Hallmark movie to the Nth degree. I do understand the appeal of that, particularly with so much tension in the world today, which is why I know many people will love it. if you're looking for an easy beach read, this may be the perfect solution.
A Taste of Bliss: A Lyssa Jones cozy mystery (Lyssa Jones Cozy Mysteries) , my third read from author Sara Isabelle this week, I've found a new, favorite author! An enjoyable well-written, amateur sleuth mystery, the third in a series of oh-so-enjoyable reads. The story moved along quickly and was a fun read.“I received a Kindle copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review." The gifting of this book did not affect my opinion of it. The next book in the series is Buried in Bliss: A Lyssa Jones cozy mystery (Lyssa Jones Cozy Mysteries) & is due out in Septetmber of this year. Sara Isabelle is the nom de plume or pen name of author Sara Ennis who write psychological thrillers. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).
Wow! Talk about a little bit of everything - you definitely have it in this book. Murder, ghosts, adorable puppy, small town rumors all started at the Secret Supper Dinner Club! Lots of twists and turns trying to figure out who is the murderer. It's a good start to a series, I can just imagine more stories from this one. I've never read any of this author's work but I'm going to go back and see what else is out there. I really, really hope there will be several more books in this series.
If you like mysteries, dogs, ghosts (all of these were my favorite things) in a small town, this is a book for you.
In A Taste of Bliss, Lyssa Jones returns with her signature blend of charm, chaos, and caffeine-fueled sleuthing. The Secret Supper Dinner Club turns into a murder mystery faster than you can say “pass the biscuits,” and everyone’s got a motive & a secret. Add in Lyssa’s ghost-dad who offers unsolicited advice, a possible love triangle, and enough town drama to power a soap opera, and you've got a cozy mystery that’s equal parts hilarious and heartwarming. Like any good meal, this book leaves you satisfied, but still somehow craving more.
Simply bliss reading , super immersive . Lyssa Jones mystery book three by Sara Isabelle is a real swell story. First time reading this author . I’m already looking to read the first two . This author’s writing is simply stunning. Secret Supper Dinner Club , love it , there’s plenty going on and a cast of different characters , is it a simple thing of good versus evil? It’s simply marvellous reading and immersive storytelling. Great writing and super array of characters and good storytelling.
Lyssa finds a dead woman at the Secret Supper Dinner Club event. It's just another day in Bliss. This series is so good. Very entertaining, a nice writing style that makes the story easy to read. I’m hooked. I can hardly wait for the next book to be published. I received an advance review copy for free and I’m leaving a voluntary and honest review.

I enjoyed this book. I feel like there could've been more plot devooment. Like book 1. I loved reading about all the supporting elements. I just wished there had been a smidge more mystery. But all in all I enjoyed the characters, their banter and the story as a whole. Will definitely read more about Bliss!
I loved this story. I stayed up late to finish it. The characters are three-dimensional and memorable. The writing was excellent. The mystery kept me guessing almost to the end. The boo had a satisfying resolution with all loose ends tied up. I highly recommend this book to anyone.
Fun mystery with all the right ingredients, great setting, characters you want as friends and ones you don’t. Throw in good writing with a twisted plot and this second installment is a winner.
This book pulled me in quickly from the start and was oh so hard to put down! The plot is fast paced and keeps you on your toes. And the characters are the kind of people I want to spend time with. Excellent read!
A well written cozy, which can be a rarity. The main characters are developing and the mysteries are fun, with enough plot twists to keep it interesting. I appreciate the author's finesse with details that make you feel like you're there.
Absolutely delightful story that will keep you wanting more. Lyssa gets involved trying to solve the crime. Trying to find out who possibly committed it, isn’t so simple. Suspenseful to the very end.
