Whispers on the Wind

Rate this book
In the serene coastal haven of Cherry Blossom Bay, the whispers are deadly, and the truth is as elusive as the shifting sands.

With one mystery under her belt, Piper Rose is ready for more. Despite her boss and affable PI Kenji Kitsune firing her every other day during their banter, she loves what she’s doing…and who she’s doing it with. But the discovery of local artist Victoria Scheffeld’s body at the scenic shore casts a dark cloud over the town's blooming cherry blossoms.

Victoria, an emerging talent from the arts community, was entangled in a web of suspicion and secrets. Was her death an accident, or was she silenced? The suspects are as colorful and complex as her Adrian Lancaster, head of the committee that issued her a scholarship; a group of shady businessmen unable to reclaim the money they loaned her; and her own brother, Detective Richmond, who was seen arguing with her in public right before her untimely death.

As the Spring Art Festival draws near, Piper and Kenji must navigate through lies and distrust. The closer they get to the truth, the more perilous their path becomes. Can they solve the mystery before the petals fall and the killer strikes again?

Step into Whispers on the Wind, where every whisper could mean the difference between justice and injustice, and where the past never truly dies. Fans of Bones and Castle are devouring this series!

A very suspenseful intense book.
It keeps guessing who did it. The interactions between Kitsune and Piper are great, the possibility of romance would be excellent.
In this story a woman, an artist.is killed and left on the beach. The woman was last seen in an intense conversation with Detrctive George.it turns up the wad his sister. They had an estranged relationship.
The are Whispers of rumors about the woman.

The museum had sponsored her for the upcoming art festival. The head of the museum council that suggested her for the scholarship is Adrian Lancaster.
But she owed some shady loan sharks money.
They are couple things mention in the book like ut was the first time that was in the first book.
But us still an amazing book.
I am glad Piper us slowly bringing Kisune out his self seclusion.
But worried she will take too many chances when the Badge Hunter returns.

somehow, certain guys manage to wreak total havoc in their relationships efforts with you, and damage your self esteem and standing in the process- mysteriously they are still "nice guys" and sought after

a budding detective trying to recover her bruised heart and heal her mind finds herself immersed in what turns out to be another sphere where pieces of her past hold sway

can she find her voice and her place in this new world, as she tries to be a friend and stand for herself, crime victims and folks she realizes might have become important to her?

perhaps. maybe

so far, it seems like a suspense and drama packed, yet oh so interesting ride

looking forward to reading what happens next
