This Bible was an absolute delight to have available for devotions throughout my 2008 year. The song devotions were my favorite, so much that I went and bought the individual book The One Year Great Songs of Faith where many of the songs came from. But also the deeper looks on women of the Bible and poetry and other things through out made this Devotional Bible a jewel. I have the Fabric/leather version, and it feels so good in hand.

I really recommend this for any female you know seeking out a good devotional Bible.

Nice bible Gift for your favorite woman friend. Has some good devotionals in it. sometimes the turqouise pages are hard to read, but it is campact, a nice bedside drawer reading Bible or a quiet moments Bible. I once bought it for a friend along with a matching torquoise leather prayer journal. Was a Great bargain at one of the Christian bookstore chains for $5.

Why haven't other publishers thought to produce a bible with coloured font?! I just watched someone who has always struggled to read, pick up my copy of the sanctuary bible and read it fluently! The shade of blue used for the text makes for such a gentle read. If I ever come across dyslexic friends who struggle with bible reading, I'll be recommending this!

I liked this Bible as a devotional Bible. It has some lovely features. It is not my favorite devotional Bible, but it is a very good one.

I love this bible! This particular bible is geared specifically for women. It contains daily devotions throughout which can be an excerpt from a book, a prayer or a hymn along with encouraging words of wisdom from fellow christian women.

There are quite a few extras in this bible. Included is a Topical Index so the reader can easily find verses about any subject or person, for example: children or Leah, etc. There is also an Author Index, Women Profiled section and Hymns Featured that corresponds to the daily devotionals. A yearly Reading Plan is detailed at the end that streamlines the reading process in a condensed form. I probably should have followed it since it took me a bit over 3 years to read this entire bible, devotions included. There is a User's Guide in the beginning with helpful suggestions on how to read, study and meditate on the Word of God and an introduction to the New Living Translation.

I found the translation of this bible, The New Living Translation, to be one of my favorites. It's very easy to understand so readers won't struggle with deciphering what words mean as they would in a King James version. I also love the blue and brown font throughout. This is a beautiful, feminine bible every woman should own.

Of course the power and relevance of the Word never changes... but the fun color of this Bible and the non-cheesy devotions make is extra nice!
