Plans fall apart when Jemma realizes that not everything is as it seems. Her world is turned upside down from the moment she is kicked off the cheer squad, and it gets worse when her lifelong crush Joel finally notices that she exists.

However, nothing could prepare Jemma for creatures of myth materializing from the depths of the underworld to try and kill her.

As Jemma uncovers secrets that change the course of her life forever, she will also learn that the truth doesn't always set you free...

Holly Kelly is a wife, mother of six, author, editor, former English teacher, and daydreamer. Holly spent her childhood in a small town in Kansas reading, climbing trees, tumbling across her front yard, and swimming daily at the local pool where she spent her time pretending to be a mermaid.

When she was a young teen, she and her family moved to Texas (where she discovered how much she hated the heat), and then, during her senior year in high school, they moved to Utah. Despite living in the desert, Holly's fascination with the ocean grew. Before graduating from high school, she decided she wanted to be a marine biologist. This led to her attending college in Hawaii. She adored her time there swimming in the blue waters and studying the marine life, but missing her family had her returning to the mainland.

While attending college at BYU in Provo, Utah, she met and married karate teacher, James Kelly. Holly and James then welcomed six amazing children into their home. Between diaper changes and late-night feedings, Holly decided she wasn't tired enough. She began writing a novel, which she did between 3 and 6 AM every morning (before the kids woke up). Several years and four completed novels later, CTP Publishing offered her a contract to publish Rising, and the rest, they say, is history! Holly now has seven published novels, including the first book in a trilogy that released in September 2024. She also has several published short stories, all of which you can read on this website by clicking here.

Holly now spends her time writing young adult, paranormal books, freelance editing, and working on her master's degree in Creative Writing. Oh, and don't forget reading! She's always reading!

The writing was captivating,” “The characters were believable and I cared about them,” “The plot had so many twists and turns I couldn't put the book down.”

I love Jemma!!! Now, let me just start off by saying, "I wasn't expecting this epic turn of events" I won't tell you what part of the book will have you wide eyed and mouth open. But, you'll know! If you have read the authors other series, It all makes sense. I hoped I'd see some familiar faces and YES!!! OKAY! I'm trying to calm down, the excitement of this book blew me away. I have fallen in love with the authors writing style. They may be fictional characters, but to me, they exist in my heart. I have never read so fast in my life. I tried to savor it, but let's be honest. When a book is as amazing as this, you will read faster. 😉 This book will have your heart racing, mind wondering, What will happen next. I didn't see this coming at all. Now, before night end my review, I must say. Zeus, is and always will be a butthead. I have wanted to punch him several times. So, please read this book! I can't wait for the next books!! I am already ready reading this book just to savor each moment.

Thank you to the amazing author for writing such an epic book!!!

I really enjoyed this Greek mythology book. Jemma grows up in an area where a lot of demi gods live, but she has no idea about them. She lives a kind of crappy life with her "mom" who says she's fat and is really mean. Then, one day, Joal, the boy she's had a crush on since she was in second grade, notices her. He opens her eyes to the world around her. I don't like the almost "insta love" vibe, but with who his mother is, it's understandable.
It's a quick and enjoyable read. If you like greek mythology, I definitely recommend it!

The lost gods

G rated, Very young adult similar to the Percy Jackson concept. Olympus High is really not much of the story, but the town it's in is home to many hidden demi gods. These young progeny must stop evil gods from changing earth. Elementary writing style with numerous misused words.

gah!

It’s a cliff hanger… right into the abyss. I really like the author and will probably read more in the series but I might need to read a few lighter books in between to cleanse my palette🤪.
