The world has gone to shit, and it isn't humanity's fault. Shocker, I know. Our world didn't meet its end because of war, climate change or any of the other numerous issues you might think. We lost Earth to monsters, an alien experiment gone wrong.
Reggie
Reggie thought she had a pretty average life until the world ended. Now she spends her days fighting for survival with her three sisters, locked away in an underground bunker. Everything seems fine until the unthinkable happens and one of her siblings is injured in a freak accident. With no choice but to hunt for medicine, Reggie must brave the surface world. A world that is overrun by monsters. Monsters that want nothing more than to tear her to pieces, or so she thought.
When she gets to the surface world, she realizes that she doesn't stand a chance at survival unless she accepts help from an unlikely and unwanted hero. A monster steps from the shadows to fight for her, defeating any and all challengers. A fifteen-foot-tall monstrosity that looks more like a dinosaur than an alien. With him by her side, she is guaranteed to succeed in saving her sisters. The only catch? He claims she is his mate.
Ragnar
Ragnar is tired. He's been tired since the day he was kidnapped from his home world and dropped onto the hellish place called Earth. Finding a remote warehouse to settle down in, he thinks that everything will finally calm down in his life. That he will live out the rest of his days wasting away. Everything goes to plan until a human woman pops up out of the ground beneath his hideout, determined to conquer the world. One whiff of her scent and he becomes as equally determined to conquer her. His plan for a peaceful life is forgotten in the face of one harsh truth. The human woman is his mate...and she doesn't want to be.
Stronger Together
An unlikely bond is formed between the predator and his prey. Together they face the world with two missions in mind. Reggie's mission to help save her sisters and Ragnar's mission to make Reggie his mate. Can the monster make his human fall in love with him, or will they both only find heartache?

Wow!! This was so dang good! There's a perfect mix of plot, world building, romance, and action. I was sucked in instantly!!! Im so intriqued by all the side characters, too. Sutton and Talnag. THE TWINS!! Omg even Rolcor and Steph. It's set up to be such an amazing series. I NEED to know what happened with Sutton and Talnag!!!
Ragnar is a literal monster/alien at 15 feet tall he looks like a dinosaur/ wolf. HE HAS SAILS! but the biggest, fluffy marshmellow golden retriever for his mate. He was so kind and fierce. he's my new favorite monster.
"My DNA, the very code for my being has been rewritten to reflect her name. My hearts cease to beat for anything but her pleasure, her continuance. The human word, love, cannot contain what I am feeling. My world begins and ends with her"
I loved Reggie!!! The way she was ready to take on aliens that looked like praying mantis for Ragnar. Badass bitch. She wasn't annoying or mean to our monster. she loved him just as hard 🥹
"Ragnar may not look like a GQ model, he may have scales and spikes, sails and fangs but he is infinitely more beautiful to me. His snarls affect me like the finest violin might, music to my soul as he confronts the threat. As he protects and cares for me. A balm to the broken. A song that haunts my soul."
The spicy parts were spice-N. I love when you can feel their love and passion. Esp that last lil quckie 🥵 Oh, AND...his doodlebop splits in 3, hehe. Unfortunately, there isn't any DP.
The adventure/action had my anxiety through the roof. The last 25%ish was so dang stressful... those Naga? NOPE! scary asf. When they were captured I. WAS.SWEATING! But we find out why aliens put other aliens on earth. It's so juicy!! I can't wait for the next books.
The revenge Ragnar gets for Reggie had me grinin like a fool. (Tw- she was raped by her co-worker, the fucking sheriff. 🙄 It's not on page, but she does describe what happened) Fuck that guy. Honestly, fuck Sam too.
"He shook hands with my demons before destroying each one of them."
Special mention of floofy, the alien dog!!!!!! The way Ragnar was so jealous of him in the beginning 🤭
HFN No cheating No om/ow
Note for the author- Plz plz consider me to be an arc reader for the next book 🫶
What a fun introduction to the series! Ragnar and Regreee have the sweetest monster romance. Although, Floofy stole the show! I am looking forward to Rolcor’s book the most. I hate spiders, but I have a feeling I will love his story. Can’t wait to see how the Gilgamites plot progresses.
PS: If anyone has a link to art or a character reference of what Ragnar might look like, please share! I could picture every other monster, but for some reason my brain was blank when it came to the Memnars.
So freakin cuteeee. I loved them all. Well all the good characters that is. The world building was beautiful and the monsters amazing. The spice was delicious and his care for her and her matching care for him. She claimed him just as fiercely and I love it so much. Also floofy was perfect.
Sadly, I got 60% of the way through and this was DNF for me. The premise for After Earth with the monster waves was the trope that brought me over, as a bonus the monster x human trope was the icing on the cake. The writing was mediocre. The sentence structure was rough with a minor misspellings which sometimes can vary as a dealbreaker but for the right story, I can overlook it.
I’ll try to be vague not to spoil below. Here’s the problem for me, the mmc was written well enough but the mfc was acceptable until about the half way mark which I instantly quit because of her insta love and all logic went out the window when she had an achievement. The survivalist aspect for her was just gone. She started making mistakes that she didn’t generally receive consequences for like making sounds when she’s excited or NOT getting the hell out of an area that has red flags in multiple instances (i.e. Reggie is like this building looks odd, thinks I shouldn’t go in there, immediately opens door to building and surprise all hell breaks loose. Lastly, when confronted by a stranger, she so willingly blurts out details that puts her family at risk for no reason by exposing their general location!
As a general female character we can be more forgiving but we are reminded on multiple occasions that she worked for the sheriff dept so we must assume she knows how to be cautious, stealthy and be on high alert for danger. Reggie seems like the type of woman that self describes themselves as bad ass. It’s okay if someone else calls them one. But in most contextual scenarios, a bad ass person does not designate themselves as one. She came across as an airhead in this survival situation that I couldn’t buy in anymore. I’m very disappointed because I felt like the premise of this book and having a monster being nonhuman was such a huge draw for me.
I'm greatly surprised by this book. I was expecting mindless smut and some character depth, but what I got was an extreme world building book with very promising future novels. Character depth, of course, and an extremely emphatic alien as a protagonist.
I loved it, I'll keep waiting for the next one happily!!
This was my first read by RA Pack and I couldn't hit the Follow button hard enough when I finished this. It's a fresh take and super enjoyable story. I can't wait for more.
I loved this book so much. Finally a book with a real looking alien and I didn’t have to suffer through half the book because they can’t understand each other. I’m looking forward to rolcor story the most.
Good amount of spice Tough heroine Touch her and die vibes Sweet mmc
I gave this a 5/5 to support the author and encourage them to release the next book in this series!
I enjoyed this book quite a bit. Yes, there were some varying issues with it (mostly grammatical errors/etc. that could have been remedied with an additional round of editing/etc.), but nothing too glaring. This is one of those rare monster books where the monster isn't 'humanoid', necessarily. He's an actual monster/alien. I'm super curious to know how this story progresses and can't wait for the next book in this series!
