I may have reached my breaking point. As if trying to graduate from a school for supernaturals isn’t stressful enough, my relationship status has gone from complicated to a straight-up dumpster fire.
Oh, and the Bloodletter has decided to drop a bomb of epic proportions on us all...
Then again, when has anything at Katmere Academy not been intense?
And the hits just keep coming. Jaxon’s turned colder than an Alaskan winter. The Circle is splintered over my upcoming coronation. As if things couldn’t get worse, now there’s an arrest warrant for Hudson’s and my supposed crimes―which apparently means a lifetime prison sentence with a deadly unbreakable curse.
Choices will have to be made...and I fear not everyone will survive.

Okay, I am so torn with my review for this book. I love the graphic audio. All the characters, and acting is spot on. ( 5/5 for that hands down)
But this series in general is so frustrating. Like all the characters are so juvenile; for being hundreds of years old. It just doesn't make any sense. The Flip flopping for Grace; between Jaxon and Hudson. - and only knowing both for about 6 months.. or like with Jaxon breaking up with Grace and then being mad when she doesn't pay attention to what's going on in his life anymore?? What did he expect to happen? Like I have said in previous reviews; I feel like this series is a dumpster fire. but I JUST CANT STOP READING / LISTENING. in hopes that things get better.
but it should NOT have taken me a month to listen to only part 1 of 2....
Ah, I can't wait for the 2nd part of the Dramatized Adaptation of Covet. Of course, they'd stop part 1 at that part! I have not read the book or listened to the regular audible of Covet, so I do not know what's going to happen next, but I am anxiously waiting for part 2 next month. I really enjoyed this. Definitely love Hudson and his personality. Never a dull moment. He definitely has made this series more interesting since book 2.
Part 1 of the story started out slow but it is still so good!!! Tracy Wolff is absolutely an amazing author and is an automatic buy author for me ever since I read her Tempest series. I listened to the graphic audiobook while reading the book and the narrators were incredible as well. Melody Muze is amazing as Grace and Stewart Crank as Hudson Vega. (His British voice is 🥵) I’m definitely now on the Hudson train. It really is like a movie in your head and the sound effects helped but the voices were great and the right kind of ranges. Macy is still a favorite character too. She is the glue everyone needs and I love the found family aspect. Now onto part 2!
Grace is a problem for me. Her constant inner dialogue has gotten annoying. Not to mention her panic attacks make her pretty damn weak and pathetic. She is either so giddy about a stupid boy. Or so damn "broken" about a stupid boy. Its not the end of the world losing a boy. All adding to her pathetic and weak character & personality.
Also needing to PULL STRINGS is pretty stupid.
Defintely a YA novel. Not for adults. Especially if youre a heavy reader Like me... Who gets sick of whiny main characters Or bs childish crap drama.
Jaxon's voice is too "old". He sounds like her father or uncle not a relationship. Its also hard to tell the different between Jaxon and Flint. Hard to know which is speaking.
Also, sometimes there seems to be some kind of humming in the background. I thought i was hearing things until seeing others saying this.
HOW? How does this series keep getting better and better? And the tension?🥵I know it’s YA but what a tease!!
I’m absolutely in love with this book already but sick me will have to wait until tomorrow to finish it. I gave it 5/5⭐️so far and I’d say spice is a 🌶️/🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ but with closed door scenes.😤.
In this book Grace is now forced to battle with the king visiting and getting closer to getting Hudson out of her head. Only when she succeeds everything isn’t as it seems.. and now she’s forced to take on her new reality and her mate not being who she thought. Was any of it real? And will she actually survive this time?
If you can’t tell I LOVE IT! This book series?! I’m obsessed! The story, the plot, the characters?! And omg the tension?😩 please. If you haven’t read this series!!
📖 Summary: Welcome to the magical rehab arc — but make it traumatized, unhinged, and hot.
Grace is fresh off a soul-shattering showdown, and surprise — she’s now collecting emotional wounds like Pokémon. Hudson is back, corporeal, infuriatingly charming, and not exactly thrilled about this shared bond thing. Jaxon is brooding like it’s his job (which… kinda is). And school? Still a battleground, emotionally and magically.
In this first half of Covet, expect:
Reluctant allies and spicy tension with Hudson
Grace trying to balance power, trauma, and boys who bite
Council-level drama and ominous political moves
The slow, achingly slow start of enemies-to-soul-tied partners
Also: That flashback scene?? That one. You know the one. 🔥
💖 Character / Audio Reactions:
Grace’s grief is loud, raw, and haunting in the headphones Hudson’s voice actor? That silky menace hits too hard Jaxon’s internal agony is basically a tragic ballad Macy? MVP of magical girl emotional support Flint, still bringing gay chaos and dragon sass 🐉✨
✨ Themes you FELT in surround sound:
Trauma doesn’t pause for romance
Enemies-to-lovers is best served slow and snarky
Found family doesn’t mean easy family
Recovery is nonlinear and full of magical explosions
🔥 Smut Level: Still PG in content… but R-rated in tension. Hudson breathing close? Unreasonable. That magical training scene with body contact?? H-e-a-t. #SmutTags: #BackFromTheDeadAndNowWeFlirt #EmotionalDamageIsMyLoveLanguage #MagicalSparringOrForeplay #EnemiesWithChemistry #HudsonBreathesINHD #TensionYouCouldBottle
⚠️ Trigger Warnings: PTSD, emotional manipulation, power struggles, forced proximity, romantic tension with past trauma, magical violence, grief, betrayal
