He’s the bane of her existence, she’s the reason for his.
Most people at the office consider me a nice guy, friendly even—everyone, that is, except for the graphic designer. Lexi Sinclair branded me the enemy from the day I challenged her designs in a critical meeting. Despite her skill in crafting stunning visuals, I'm the gatekeeper of what ultimately makes it to our platforms. As the marketing director, I'm not just her boss by title; I define the strategy. Yet, she resists me at every opportunity, a challenge I'm tempted to sidestep—before she gets under my skin.
Fate, however, delights in complications. It starts with a blind date, and who else shows up but Lexi? As if that's not bad enough, she becomes my temporary neighbor in adjoining townhouses. I play my music loud, she craves silence—my uncontrolled Great Dane destroys her porch plants. And now our confrontations spill from the boardroom to our shared driveway, turning every encounter into a battleground.
Yet, beneath her frosty exterior lies something unexpectedly fragile, revealed as life throws its harsh realities and forces us to rely on each other. With every heated exchange, our reasons for rivalry blur, and I can't pinpoint when we shifted from foes to something resembling friends.
As our defenses crumble, sparks ignite and suddenly we breathe the same air. I realize then that she’s everything I didn’t know I needed, and my world can’t function without Lexi in it. I may never fully understand Lexi Sinclair, but perhaps that's not necessary. Maybe I’m meant to be hers, blindly.
This is book 2 in the Office Hearthrobs Series. Each book can be read as a complete standalone.
It's obvious to everyone around Nico and Lexi that there are sparks between the two of them, which makes this an even more fun book to read when they start off as heated rivals. I love the workplace setting and how they're able to carry this dynamic into work and their personal lives. Throw in some matchmaking, meddling, and friends who can call them out on their behaviour, and this book is sheer humour from start to finish. Beyond the prickly exteriors of the characters, we get to look underneath and see wounded hearts that are waiting to be healed by God's redemptive love. Lexi comes across as fiercely guarded yet with a heart as grand as her ability to capture people on film. Nico is the perfect counterpart by exhibiting deep loyalty and servant-heartedness just when Lexi needs it most. Together, the characters provide just enough give-and-pull in their witty conversations to keep the momentum going.
I was curious as to how the author would address and resolve their reporting situation at work, and I'm grateful that she developed a creative solution that resulted in some funny work scenes. As some colleagues state in the book, it's quite entertaining just to see how Nico and Lexi bicker with each other while demonstrating that they truly care for each other underneath the teasing. As a result, it's easy to cheer for them as Nico and Lexi learn about forgiveness, acceptance, and unconditional love from God while volunteering for activities, stepping in for friends, and managing strained family relations. If you're looking for some off-the-charts chemistry between digital marketers, there is plenty of romance and revelation in Yours Blindly.
This was a true enemies to more story. As the tale began, the tension and frustration between these two was palpable. Lexi had a real grudge against Nico, who happened to also be her boss. And Nico was beyond frustrated with Lexi’s unwillingness to work civilly with him.
Yet they kept getting thrown together as the story progressed and eventually came to a bit of a truce. As that truce began to turn into more of a friendship, I enjoyed seeing both of them begin to realize that they were actually starting to admire each other as more than just coworkers and friends.
Both Nico and Lexi had complications and troubles from their pasts that affected them in different ways and made both of them hesitant to trust easily. They had some pretty big hurdles to overcome, including growing in their faith in God individually, before they could truly give each other their hearts.
I received a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions are my own.
Lexi Sinclair is a tangle of differences - quiet yet bold, introverted yet outspoken. Or at least when it comes to her boss, Nico Marino. This Italian grates her every nerve. The way he nitpicks her work, constantly challenges her to do something different, and the way he has no filter and says whatever is on his mind. When a blind date brings them together, they have no choice but to be cordial for a meal. Then fate has Lexi housesitting right next door to Nico for a month. A month to get past their differences. And, just maybe, to see that what stirs beneath the surface is deeper than they think.
Fresquez's writing style borders on flowery, making it difficult to engage. However, the intense descriptions do lend themselves to really seeing the tension between Lexi and Nico. Of the two main characters, Lexi felt the most real to me. Her background and experiences were relatable, making her reaction to Nico understandable. I rarely read office romances, perhaps because that’s where I met my husband of 25 years and now nothing can compare. But the ending of this one did give me all the vibes. It had me crying, smiling, wondering how this could even happen, and then back to smiling.
If you enjoy office romance, this is for you. You will also enjoy this book if you like stories with strong friendships, forgiveness, and repentance.

Another fantastic romance from Rose! If you’re into office drama, forbidden love, neighbors/forced proximity, and enemies-to-lovers, this story checks every box.
Lexi thinks she can't stand Nico, but maybe her frustration runs deeper and might even be the opposite of hate. Nico, on the other hand, is puzzled by her attitude. Despite their playful banter, he’d love to get on her good side. When fate throws them together as blind dates and neighbors, sparks fly. But both have pasts that make them hesitant to take the next step. And even if they want to, working together puts both their hearts and careers on the line.
The chemistry between Lexi and Nico is electric and completely believable. Exploring their pasts added real depth, and I loved Nico’s relentless energy paired with Lexi’s big heart.
We also get a fun glimpse of Jeremy and Zuri from Book 1, plus a tease of Olivia and Damien’s friendship, hoping their story is next!
This was a solid 4.5-star read for me, easily rounded up to 5.
I received a complimentary copy. This review reflects my honest opinion.
Loved this enemies to lovers story. Was easy to relate to the characters. I relayed most to Lexi, guarded from past hurts, especially verbal barbs that seek to bring her down; so when she works with Nico who is a thrill seeking guy who says what he is thinking, she puts up the walls. Now add in a change that makes them see each other on a regular basis, what will be the result. Will they follow their heart when attraction begins to blossom? I love the different points of view that lets us the reader see their mental quandary.
A few of my favorite quotes include -We’re a battlefield, but somewhere between the skirmishes, I’m starting to find peace in her presence. -But if I can throw myself into extreme sports, risking injuries because the thrill makes it all worth it, them maybe this is no different. -She’s drawing me into something deeper, something I hadn’t seen coming -Nico was the storm I tried to outrun
He’s the bane of her existence, she’s the reason for his.

It seems like the universe and everyone in it are conspiring to get Nico and Lexi together. Time and time again, they find themselves face-to-face with their work nemeses, and the more it happens, the more they both begin to wonder if this is more than just coincidence. Over time, it’s clear that fate has stepped in to break their stubbornness and open their eyes to what’s right in front of them.
Nico’s positive attitude and the fact that he finds joy in everything is refreshing. It was nice seeing him rub off on the “prickly” Lexi. The character development is strong as we are in the minds of these characters, seeing their world through vivid technicolor, and feeling all the feels. I did appreciate the snarky love/hate banter that Nico and Lexi had at the beginning of the story, but as the story progressed, I found myself getting a tad bored until back-to-back tragedies reeled me right back in. There are some pretty heavy emotional moments that were heartbreaking and unexpected and gave this otherwise typical love story more levity.
I have been having doggie fever lately, so Shadow’s antics were destructively charming. Shadow almost felt like his own character, and I loved it, getting my puppy fix without the responsibility, and he was hands down one of my favorite aspects of this story.
It’s clear that Nico and Lexi have a love worth fighting for, and it was a sweet journey to witness. I wish the pace could’ve been a bit snappier, particularly in the middle of the story, and the ending not quite so saccharine, but other than that, this was a great read.
Your Blindly is the second book in Rose Fresquez’s The Office Heartthrobs series. It is a beautiful enemies to lovers romance with themes of faith and forgiveness subtly interwoven into the story. I adored this book and I was rooting for Lexi and Nico from the first page.
The story focuses on Nico and Lexi. Nico is not looking for love, but he reluctantly agrees to go on blind date. Unfortunately, his blind date ends up being Lexi, one of his employees, an employee who hates him. Nico is intrigued by Lexi’s hatred of him, especially since he is intrigued by Lexi herself. When Lexi ends up house sitting for his neighbor, Nico finds himself more drawn to her. The story that follows is full of so much heart and hope.
Things to love: -enemies to lovers -office romance -forbidden romance -blind date -forced proximity -an adorable Great Dane, named Shadow -swoony kisses -found family
I loved how Nico and Lexi’s relationship developed. Their connection and pull toward one another was so strong, even though Lexi tried so hard to deny it. I loved the banter and friendship Nico and Lexi each had with their friend group. It was fun to see their personalities and true friendships.
Both Nico and Lexi have baggage from their past to deal with. Their issues were handled with so much kindness and tact and hope. Fresquez, as always, did an amazing job of blending the messages of forgiveness and faith with the romance. It was so well done.
This Christian Contemporary Romance was a lovely read. Our hero, Nico, is Italian and is the Chief Marketing Officer, and Lexi’s boss. They’ve had a tumultuous relationship and this is an enemies to sweethearts, workplace romance. Nico is all about the outdoors and exercising - rock climbing, cycling, and running. He has a rambunctious dog who has just as much energy as he does. When his rock climbing friend sets him up on a blind date, he wasn’t expecting to find Lexi waiting there. This begins the slow burn read we hold in front of us. There are many sweet moments with these two opposites as she house sits for her neighbor and their proximity encourages more interaction. They both have sadness in their pasts with their families and their friend groups have really become their found family. As tendrils start to tie these two together, they are aware that a relationship is currently forbidden by company rules and things creep even slower with that. It was a good read. It slowed down a bit for me nearing halfway through but it finished strong with sweet heat, Faith, friends, and more. This is a just kisses romance.
I received an ARC of this book from the author and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
I give this 4 1/2 stars! I want to start by saying I received an ARC of this book. This is a Christian romance book. The main characters are Nico and Lexi. They work together but Nico is Lexi’s boss so he has the final decision for everything. One day he challenged her designs so from then on she has classified him as an enemy. Nico goes on a blind date and it ends up being Lexi. How will the date go? Next thing you know they end up as neighbors and continue bickering. Will they realize during all of this that they are falling for each other? Will they become more than coworkers? When God has a plan for your life you may not like it at first but he knows what is best for you and what you need. I love watching them grow in their faith. Watching them overcome the issues from their past. I loved watching them become friends instead of enemies. I always get excited to see the side characters in a book as they usually help a lot along the way. I love a book with dogs and the dog in this was adorable. This book was so good. Her books have never disappointed me. If you love enemies to lovers, office romance, found family, faith in God, and an adorable dog then I believe you will love this book. I can’t wait to read more by this author.
Yours Blindly by Rose Fresquez is a must-read for fans of the reverse grumpy-sunshine trope! Nico is a marketing executive with a need for adventure. He thrives outdoors and craves excitement at every turn. Lexi, on the other hand, is a perfectionist with a guarded heart, determined to do everything her way. Her passion drives everything she does, but only those closest to her truly understand it. Nico is the life of the party, charming and energetic, while Lexi keeps to herself, focused on her goals. When these two are forced to work together, sparks fly but not the good kind. Their fiery dynamic only intensifies when Lexi agrees to house-sit for Nico’s neighbor, bringing them into constant proximity. Lexi’s wall of denial is as high as it is thick, but Nico is determined to break through and uncover the passion simmering beneath the surface of their tense relationship. The chemistry between them is undeniable. Will he manage to melt her heart? Yours Blindly is a story of unexpected connection and fiery attraction you won’t want to miss!
I wouldn’t say they were enemies … but there sure was no love lost, and the workplace seems to be a great battlefield. But what happened? When Nico interviewed Lexi for the job she was an entirely different person… or should I say personality? What was it that set Lexie on edge? Was it one minor disagreement over an assignment? That sure seemed like the spark that lit the match.
We hear there’s a thin line between love and hate, so maybe, just maybe, there’s more to these office skirmishes than meets the eye. Maybe Lexi and Nico are in denial and trying their best not to cross that rugged, thin line.
Or could it be something dreaded from Lexi’s past. As I kept reading I saw hints that her past wasn’t very accepting, a past that involved her stepfather. And how about Nico? As he learns later in life, nothing was what it seemed to be.
Prepare for a journey of revelation. It’s a slow, emotional walk, but each step taken shows they may not be that different after all.
LOVED this book!! Nico and Lexi have worked at the same company for two years. Nico is Lexi's boss, and though Nico knows she was right for the job, somehow they got off on the wrong foot. When someone they both know sets them up on a blind date, neither is sure they'll even stay to eat dinner together. When they do, they're both surprised. Then, when it turns out Lexi is house-sitting for his neighbor, things really start happening between them!! Lexi, though, has a secret, and when it comes out, Nico is blindsided. When asks Lexi a question, and she doesn't answer, he thinks that means she did answer, and that they're done. Can Lexi figure out a way to make things right between them?? Love how both of them figure out they need God, too!!
I received a complimentary copy of this book, was not required to leave a review, and the opinion expressed is my own.
Lexi and Nico are co-workers who think they are enemies. Nico can’t figure out why she is so prickly toward him yet no one else, and Lexi just wishes that Nico would find a filter for his honest mouth. When they are thrown together on a blind date, they start learning things are maybe different than they thought. They must learn forgiveness, not to judge another by their past actions, and to reconcile with those who wrong you. Theirs is a complex journey with many turns.
This is a clean, wholesome novel with some spiritual themes placed more toward the end. The Author writes with vividly clear descriptions and deep feeling. The characters face very challenging decisions that keep things real. I received a complimentary copy from the author and these are my voluntary and honest opinions. I was not required to leave a positive review.
4.5/5⭐️ The line between hate and love is indeed thin. It also helps that fate leads Nico and Lexi to be in close proximity at work, at gatherings with their mutual friends, when she becomes his temporary neighbour and *horror horror* his blind date.
But taking the first step is always scary, and I was eagerly awaiting the moment when both of them would realise that the risk was worth it. It truly helped as well that they both had supportive friends throughout their journey.
Forgiveness is a key theme throughout this book, be it forgiveness from God, from others or from oneself. If that is something you are struggling with, reading this book may give you a new perspective to think about.
This is the 2nd book in the “The Office Heartthrobs Series.” This is an entertaining read from start to finish. Lexi is a graphic designer and Nico who is her boss is the marketing director. Nico and Lexi are opposites of each and I loved the Christian aspect of the romantic storyline. Every step of the way Lexi challenges Nico but he does not back down. Nico is more than ready for any challenge Lexi sends his way. They are frenemies. Lexi and Nico find themselves as each other’s blind dates. As things progress, they go from frenemies to being in a romantic relationship. Awesome read which I recommend to other readers.
I received an ARC via the author Rose Fresquez and I am leaving my review voluntarily.
I absolutely loved Lexi and Nico’s story! The energy between them was incredible, whether it was their verbal sparring at work or those almost-kissing moments that sparked excitement. 🔥 As they navigated the complications that arose once they caught feelings, it was heartwarming to see how they came together and bonded. I especially appreciated the way they supported each other through tough times. The themes of forgiveness and the development of their faith added a beautiful layer to their journey. Overall, their story was truly sweet and resonant!
In this book you will read about secrets kept, a hateful stepfather, and a group of wonderful friends. Nico is a wonderful person who is always willing to help people. Lexi was convinced that she wasn’t good enough at anything she accomplished and was aggressive about it to others. When Lexi gets hired to house set her bosses neighbor she is shocked to see who lives next door. Can Nico and Lexi manage to survive living next to each other? The author will have you on the edge of your seat waiting to see what happens next.
This is my voluntary review of a copy I was given.
Lexie and Nico meet at work and get off on the wrong foot. They are similar in so many ways, but they just don't get along.
Their story was enjoyable, though it had its slower moments. It also had some deep emotional ones. There was no preaching, though there was prayer, and talk about what was said at church and references to Bible verses and stories.
4.5 stars Thanks to the author for arc copy of this book. I honestly loved this book. First half of the book it felt like a normal love story with strong characters but the second half was more than just a cute, cozy love story. It felt real. The characters, the surroundings, all were beautiful. There are many quotes, and scenes that have my heart. It was a easy 5 star read for me, but I cut .5 star because THE DOG DIED 😭.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
Absolutely wonderful story. Very inspiring story about forgiveness. I love the idea of the cactus and what it represents, both when Nico gives it to Lexi and later in the story. Nico and Lexi seem like opposites, but their bickering leads to more. Great insight into troubled youth and how Lexi volunteers. So many great moments in this story. Shadow definitely steals lots of attention. I received this book from the author and this is my voluntary, honest review
Can be read as a standalone but better if read in order. Characters overlap throughout the series. When their best friends became a couple they started seeing each other frequently.Unfortunately they seem to irritate each other frequently also. What happens when a blind date isn't a stranger? Will the sparks flying burn everything down or light it up?
The personality of the characters are perfectly structured. The way Rose weaves the storyline with the characters from the other books is fascinating and touching. Nico, Lixie, and the sweet Shadow had me in tears. But, when they both understand the power of forgiveness and repentance, that was the ultimate . Thank you.
This is one of the best books I've read, especially as far as the chemistry between these two! Its off the charts and amazing! Not lust filled but true caring chemistry. Their time together and other interactions were the best! And Shadow! Oh my goodness! Loved him!!!
There's nothing like an opposites-attract story. I love the way they both worked through things in their lives. We can learn so much from this book, too. My favorite part was the conversation between Lexi and Olivia about feeling spiritual. Well done.
I read this book in one sitting couldn’t put it down. Made me laugh and cry. One of the best parts of this book was I felt God in it. The script in the characters made wonderful points. It’s a must read!!!! I loved it💜
I love how Rose presents realistic romantic stories with flawed people who struggle with their faith, forgiveness and grace. So many lessons are added to the swoon-worthy moments. 🩷 I’m excited for the next story.
A great story of 2 people who perpetually rub each other the wrong way. Both are separated from a parent, hurt & trying to do life on their own. As life happens they figure out how to forgive family & accept faith, to appreciate their blessings.
