Boo 🍅 Misrepresented and twisted self-inserted yoga guide, more than romance. No character development, all insta-lust, and cringe ‘I love yous’ before the first hookup. Total waste of time!

This is the fourth book in the Foxbrooke series and as you know, I'm upto date with the whole series and have been loving it so much!

When I finished the last one in April and read the blurb for this one, I have to admit to feeling a little apprehensive - as we have a change of scenery for this story.
I wasn't sure that I'd like to be taken away and outside of Foxbrooke... - oh I know the others stray, but the majority of the book is generally set there - whereas this is mainly in a different setting.

I think I was right to worry a little, as I don't think I liked being away from the usual crowd and keeping up to date with their shenanigans.
We saw some snippets, but I really missed them all.
I also really hated the ashram!
When I think of yoga - not that I've ever done any in my life! - but I imagine a really peaceful environment. Being calm and relaxed and loving life - like Isaac's home!
The practices here though were a real shock to the system and anything but relaxing!

In terms of characters, I found it quite hard to relate to any of them!
Sophia and Isaac are both quite staid characters and that was such a contrast from the rest of the series - all usually pretty larger than life and dynamic.
So there was a lot of holding back and not the usual raunchy, sexual tension that we're used to from Evie's books.

This definitely felt like quite a different read from the norm and I think that I was just expecting more of the same.

Having said that, this was still a really well written storyline, with great main character development and (allbeit much less than usual), some great Evie-style spicy scenes.
I also loved the addition of Jessica's character, who provided some much needed laughs throughout - I really hope that she and Estelle meet one day!

Not my absolute favourite of the series - but I still flew through it and am really excited to see that we'll be back in Foxbrooke for the next installment for Leo and Ella's story!
I can't wait! 😍

** I also listened to this on audio book and what an amazing experience!
I loved hearing this read (as intended) by the wonderful Evie herself! **

Spice level: 🌶️🌶️

Slow Burn : 🔥 perfect 10 out of 10

Evie Alexander's “The Love Position” is number four in her Foxbrooke Series, but if you’re new to the world of the Hunter-Savages this can definitely be read as a stand-alone! This is my new favorite of the series!

The novel centers around Isaac Hayward, a yoga teacher bound by a religious vow of celibacy (who I think based off the cover art looks like Jacob Elordi, if you want to imagine him the entire time like I did), and Sophia Hunter-Savage, an archaeologist grappling with a bad breakup from a decade long relationship.

Isaac is portrayed as a thoughtful and dedicated yoga instructor whose resolve to maintain his vow is tested by his undeniable chemistry with Sophia. Alexander beautifully captures Isaac's internal conflict as he navigates the boundaries of his faith and the intensity of his attraction to Sophia, leading to a struggle that many readers can empathize with. His journey takes him to a serene ashram in the Caribbean, where he seeks solace and clarity away from the distractions of his life and Sophia.

On the other hand, Sophia’s character is a breath of fresh air, showcasing vulnerability and strength as she battles with the aftermath of her relationship ending.

The chemistry between Isaac and Sophia is electric, and their interactions are charged with tension and longing. Alexander masterfully builds this connection, The stakes are raised when Sophia unexpectedly arrives at the ashram, flipping Isaac’s carefully constructed plans upside down.

“The Love Position” delves into themes of faith and the often tumultuous terrain of romantic relationships. I highly recommend this book, especially if you enjoy slow burn romances!

I listened to this book on Audio and I really enjoyed the narration! The author does a great job with it. Thank you to Evie Alexander and Booksirens! I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Sophia and Isaac were two hurt people who didn't know where their friendship would take them. They were afraid that past relationships would repeat and they would not only hurt each other but further hurt themselves. But they could never have seen where they could take each other.

These two not only took each other to places they never knew, but they took me on a journey I never saw coming.

TW: SA, Violence, Bullying

Let's Talk About 🌶️🌶️🌶️ Baby: 🌶️🌶️/5

🌶️🌶️🌶️ STEAMY- If it's not for you- Skip Through

Sophia is such a beautiful soul who has struggled in the last year dealing with the worst, and deserves nothing but the best. I loved her so much as a character. I saw so much of myself in her, and could relate on so many levels. I felt her feels so deeply and I struggled through parts of the book because I felt so deeply for her. I had to take a break in between to just breathe and separate myself from the book and remember that isn't my story. But I loved this story nonetheless.

I loved Sophia for being so strong even though she struggled. Her struggles made her relatable. I loved her so much though. I loved that she was able to get through the hardest parts and get to the best parts. Like when she said this-

"Isaac, Isaac, Isaac, her mind repeated like a mantra. He was her everything, taking every layer of her being, from the solid to the ephemeral to places she could never have believed possible."

Isaac was such a thoughtful and insightful person
. But he still struggled with his path and where he felt he belonged in his life. He depended on his guru to help guide him, to help keep him from repeating his previous mistakes in his life.

I loved Isaac even if I was frustrated with him at times with how he handled things. But I can't fault him for wanting to make sure that he didn't make any mistakes.

I really fell for Isaac when he really was able to admit his feelings a for Sophia and see what he could really have with her. I was ecstatic to see what they had and how happy they could be. He was such a strong man who made sure that she knew he loved her and loved her even harder. He wasn't shy about his love for her once they were able to show their affection.

Deserves more than 5*
This story is another whopper from Evie Alexander. The story is about Sophia, a consummate academic, and Isaac, a very handsome and hot yoga instructor in a small Somerset village, who is a faithful follower of the teachings of his Guru. Sophia, the traumatised archaeologist, not only finds her older boyfriend, Marcus, the departmental professor partying in every sense of the word with 2 of his students but she loses the lead position of her excavation project because he is trying to save his reputation. Sophia meets Isaac during a yoga session that her brother’s girlfriend, Lady Estelle of Foxbrooke dragged her to. I loved this book so much; that I was almost ready to move to Somerset. Sophia decides that a bit of Zen teaching is what she needs to overcome her anxiety of the past few months. She travels to a tropical island where no other, than Isaac is part of the Ashram and can’t help bumping into each other. I was a regular visitor, showing my friends from abroad the Indian Temple in Neasden, London and felt the respect and serenity such a Temple can provide. I was surprised therefore to read about the more basic nature of the leaders of such retreats, but the growing tenderness and heat that develops between the protagonists is beautifully handled and described by the author. There are some funny moments but a lot of soul-searching on the part of the lovers that ultimately leads to a lovely HEA. Their story is nicely woven into the timeline of other events in the lives of characters that appeared in other novels in this series. I would most highly recommend this novel and indeed the whole series.

I say this every single time I read one of Evie’s books but listen this was absolutely amazing! Potentially a new comfort read(as if all of her books aren’t already my comfort place!). This story was oh my goodness so beautiful! Issac was wow he was a character that i definitely needed a story from after the upper crush! This book has it all! A celibacy vow that is wavering because of a beautiful woman! Is there anything more beautiful than the idea that someone can’t keep to a celibacy vow because of an attraction! But it’s not just a physical attraction it’s the emotional attachment that they have to one another! This book is number four in the foxbrooke series, but could 100% be read as a standalone however if you want my opinion id read them in order because wow the impact the characters have on you, unimaginable. I like to think somewhere in England they’re all out there, having an amazing time and thriving. That’s how well Evie writes that you feel like these characters are out there in the world, every time I finish one of her books I’m left wanting more, I don’t think it would ever be enough!
I think for me this one was so impactful because of Sophia’s character, first off…close to my name so obviously has to be a fave but her vulnerability was so emotional to read about. This book truly has something no other romance books have to offer( again I feel that way about all of Evie’s books!). Also Evie is the QUEEN of slowburns! Ugh so good!

Five stars really isn't enough for this book, I've had the pleasure of reading all four books in this series and with each new book they just seem to get better. In this book we read Sophia and Isaac's, I must admit I hoped Isaac would get a story and it definitely doesn't disappoint. Having closed himself off from all relationships and become a yoga teacher in Foxbrooke he was content with his choices, returning to India ever year. Then Sophia turns up at his class and straightaway he knew but also knew he had to keep his distance. Sophia had her whole life torn apart, not only had her ex cheated on her but now her whole career something that was her sanity was at risk as well. Can this year get any worse. The answer is simple yes it can. Taking up yoga to try and help with her anxiety was supposed to be the answer but now she has more questions than answers. Going to a teacher training course on an idyllic island for yoga seems the perfect choice. But will it help or make her life even more difficult. This is a intriguing story of trust, hope, friendship, betrayal and at times even a bit of spice. I must admit Evie has a brilliant way of writing that keeps you reading even when you know you should put it down but no you just keep reading. I really looking forward to the next book in this superb series.

This is book 4 in Alexander's Foxbrooke series and a wonderful addition to the series but can be read as a standalone. Our main characters are Sophia and Isaac. These characters undergo so much character growth from the events that push and pull at them throughout this read. Sophia and Isaac both are hurt by those they felt closest to in the worst possible ways. I loved that this book while a part of the Foxbrooke series does not actually take place in Foxbrook overall and yet we still get glimpses of characters from previous reads as well as make new friends. I loved the banter and Sophia's besties are the best! Her strength even when shy and seemingly meek is great and I love that Isaac is such a stand-up guy and always trying to do the right thing, that he takes his fan of fawning women in stride, not letting it go to his head. Such a grounded man who stays true to himself although as we read it's been a journey for him as well. I love that both have been fooled and hurt by people who were close to them and should have been trustworthy and the growth that comes with truly trustworthy friends and relationships. Another wonderful read - I can't wait to see where Alexander is going to take this series next!

(I also received an audio version which was an absolute delight to the senses and narrated by none other than the fantastic author herself which made hearing this book as intended just that much better - love, love, loved it!)

This was a phenomenal age gap romance. It was my favorite yet in this series and by the author in general. I absolutely loved it, it was so well written and it just captivated me from the beginning. Sophia and Isaac had fantastic chemistry and I loved the slow burn nature of their relationship. The story was both funny and interesting as well as a bit steamy and I loved it from start to finish.

Audiobook review: The book is narrated by the author herself and she does an amazing job. She has a great pace and I really enjoyed listening to it.

Another winner from Evie Alexander, Who knew Yoga could be this hot!!!!! Sophia Savage-James is currently living with so much stress, boyfriend stress, job stress, anxiety causing stress, her friend suggests taking yoga classes, she meets yoga instructor Isaac, who is very single and very hot.

Sophia realizes that yoga is helping alleviate some of her anxiety & stress, she decides to attend a yoga retreat in the British Virgin Islands and as luck would have it, Isaac is one of the instructors at this retreat. Sophia and Isaac start to have real feelings for each other, but there are other forces at play. Isaac is soon torn between following new love and following his beloved yogi who has lead him for over 10 years. Maybe it is time to close this chapter of his life but at what cost? Things aren’t always what they seem, both Sophia and Isaac find this out in a dangerous way.

Sophia starts questioning this new love and after dealing with a life altering situation, her anxiety spikes, she flees the retreat and returns to Foxbrooke. Isaac has to figure out what is more important, his love for Sophia or his love for yoga.

Evie Alexander paints such a descriptive picture of these loveable characters and their emotions, making it so easy to become invested in this book. It is exciting to see a series that just keeps getting better with each book, and I am eager to see what happens next. Also, I didn’t realize that Yoga could be this hot!!!!!

The Love Position by Evie Alexander

I received an advance review copy for free thanks to Evie Alexander and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Blurb

Forbidden love has never looked so tempting…

After making a ground-breaking discovery, archaeologist Sophia Hunter-Savage has her work stolen and her heart broken. She needs a safe place to lick her wounds, so retreats to her family home in the village of Foxbrooke. Taking up yoga is the first step on the path to healing and when she meets the teacher, Isaac, things start to look up.

Yoga instructor Isaac Hayward has finally found meaning and purpose in his life by helping others. When Sophia arrives at his class struggling with anxiety, his protective instincts kick in, but the undeniable chemistry sets off alarm bells. He’s taken a vow of chastity and relationships are strictly off-limits.

Not wanting to be tempted off the spiritual path, Isaac runs away to an ashram seeking a return to inner peace. But when Sophia unexpectedly turns up, neither can deny the forbidden attraction.

Can their love last the distance or is this one position they can’t hold for long?

My Opinion

The Love Position has been written as a standalone but I would recommend reading One Night in Foxbrooke, Love Ad Lib, An Unholy Affair and The Upper Crush first to get full enjoyment from the series.

For the first time I have listened to an audiobook narrated by Evie Alexander - what an enjoyable experience. I have been reading this series in order and I am always on the look out for updates on when I will be returning to Foxbrooke. Unlike the rest of the series The Love Position is set at a yoga retreat instead of Foxbrooke, so this book has a slightly different feel but the writing style that I have grown to love remains.

Once again Evie has written a great book with some good character-development. Sophia has a rough start to the book but it was great to see how she grew as a character and I look forward to catching up with her in future books. The Love Position is a great addition to the Foxbrooke series.

Wow! That was quite a journey. Sophia just kept taking hits and had a lot of healing to do. Isaac had a lot of personal reflection and decisions to make, both about Sophia and about his life as a whole. I love that Sophia’s anxiety was presented in a way that was matter of fact and not stigmatized. Sophia and Isaac’s connection was so deep and meaningful and so different than the couples from the rest of the series so far. I love how Evie Alexander brings such different dynamics to all of her books.

Hot yoga teacher Isaac seems to have his life together and his path set until Sophia enters his class and upends everything he thought he knew.
After she finds her boyfriend cheating, Sophia Hunter-Savage goes home to Foxbrooke and wants a life change. There her best friend gets her to attend Isaac's yoga class. Wanting to learn more and needing the change, she takes his advice and signs up for a yoga teacher training course at an ashram in the Carribean.
Isaac can't stop thinking about Sophia and leaves Foxbrooke for India until his guru tells him to go to the ashram... in the Carribean.

The majority of this story takes place at the Caribbean ashram and it is the furthest thing from paradise. There some questionable practices, injuries, and some odd faculty (lots of trigger warnings). Sophia and Issac must examine their lives, find what truly matters, and how much they are willing to put up with. This also is very thought-provoking for the reader.
Not being in Foxbrooke and not being centered around the Foxbrooke family, the story does veer off track and for me, doesn't have the charm the other books do. I love Evie's writing so she can write me a story about anything and I'd be into it, but some fans of the series might be a bit disappointed. The story line is still great and of course, hijinks occur, but it could very well be a stand-alone away from the series because there isn't much of the Foxbrooke family except Estelle. New friend Jessica is an Estelle stand-in and has the mouth to boot. Her humor was much needed from the Sophia/Isaac drama. As mentioned, there is a good story here, funny moments, and a little steam. As for the main characters, I wasn't too hooked on either one. I think they are great secondary characters but I didn't really buy into their romance other than spur-of-the-moment lust. Isaac does have some nice character development but Sophia needs work. There were some things left hanging that may get answered in the following books. And there are trigger warnings to be aware of that are explained by the author.
Overall, I still really enjoyed this story and highly recommend it.

I absolutely loved this book. It starts out during the same time period as the third book, just from Sophia's perspective instead of Estelle and James. In the last book, I wanted more of Sophia, and this book was exactly what I wanted. She goes through so much with her ex Marcus and just wants the peace that comes with yoga. However, she starts to have feelings for her yoga instructor. I liked that the romance in this book was not in your face and immediate. It showed that the characters had something to get through within themselves before they could come together as a couple. I liked that the setting was not the same as the last book, it gives Sophia the chance to shine and not be outshone by her family. She had to go through her own journey of self discovery and I think her family would have hindered her in that. Isaac is a great love interest for Sophia. He has been through so much and knows how to help her become the person he knows she can be. It was cute to see him fall for her and realize that life can have different stages. This story went by so fast for me, I wanted more! I am super excited to see what happens with them in the future. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

I always love Evie's stories of sweet, sexy love. This one is a little different. It's not entirely set in Foxbrooke, though it is characters from that series and refers, often, to characters from the previous books in this series. The different setting isn't bad, it just meant there were differences, but we still got to meet some fabulous characters, and who knows where they will reappear!
We start and end in Foxbrooke but spend much of our time in a Caribbean ashram. I found it both intriguing and horrifying to read about Sophia's time at the ashram. It was wonderful to see Isaac's realisation on the practices and harshness of the routines.
Trigger warnings for gaslighting, abuse, and violence, among other things.
I'd say this was the tamest of Evie's usually full of spice novels - the sex index is the smallest I've seen her have. This isn't a bad thing, I always say that the sexy scenes need to aid a story rather than eclipse a story, and with the relationship between Sophia and Isaac, it was right that the story focused on them, their journey, and their intimacy, rather than their sexual journey. However, when she does write the spice, it's hot, as always!
I laughed a lot, thinking about Isaac's 80 year old fan club causing riots. There's always humour mixed into Evie's work.
I always love to have glimpses of the other characters that we've gotten to know through the series, and how they're progressing, so the tidbits thrown our way about James, Estelle, Jack and Eveline were very welcome!
You can usually tell who the story will go to next, but there's nothing being given away here, I can't wait to revisit the colourful Foxbrooke characters.

The Love Position
Evie Alexander

Just finished The Love Position by Evie Alexander! Talk about forbidden love! Sophia is fresh out of a relationship with the absolute worst kind of guy and Isaac is her new yoga teacher who has taken a vow of chastity… nothing could happen right? This book was soooo good, it was fast paced and easy to read, the sort of book where you keep saying ‘just one more chapter’ but then it’s 4am and you have accidentally finished the book (oops)! I loved so many of the characters, especially the loud, extroverted, would chop your balls off if you hurt her friend character, Jessica. I hope she gets her own standalone in this universe! I thought this book was witty, funny and had good banter, as well as dealing with recovery from traumatic relationships and having to learn to believe in yourself and trust your gut! 4.5 stars for me!

I have been very impatiently waiting a very long time to find out all about Isaac’s story, especially with the way in which Estelle has been bigging him up in previous books!!

Right from the very first chapter i was pulled in to this book! Evie has a wonderful way with words that effortlessly pull you in and make you desperately want to keep reading more!!

By the end of the first chapter i just knew that i was going to love this book and i also knew that Sophia was going to be a wonderful new addition in the Foxbrooke Universe!!

At the end of every single chapter i always want to swiftly move on to the next one so that i can quickly find out what is going to happen next!

We also get a bit of a crossover between The Upper Crush and this book, as Sophia turns up in that book but we don’t get to find out much of her back story, so i am really glad that this book is filling in all the gaps - the two stories actually run simultaneously, which is wonderful!

I really love that Sophia is the very shy, anxious and reserved sibling and James is the complete opposite and is loud, confident and boisterous!

Sophia has a wonderful, funny side to her and really likes to have a laugh but only when she feels comfortable in the situation and with Isaac she was relaxed and became more of her real self…

As well as loving Sophia and Isaac and all the usual Foxbrooke regulars we also get to know Jessica - Sophia’s new best friend and I LOVED her!! She is such a wonderful character and she made me snort laughing with all the funny sayings she comes out with!! I really really hope that we will see more of her in the future, she would get on so well with Estelle!

I absolutely loved this story and really enjoyed getting to know more about the Foxbrooke residents…

The story was addictive and oh so romantic and swoonworthy and i loved reading about and learning all about yoga and the different aspects of the Ashram and their teachings…..

And now, no rush, but I absolutely cannot wait for the next book in the series, especially because it’s a Christmas book!!!

First, a thank you to Evie and booksirens for gifting me this arc.

The love position is the fourth book in the Foxbrooke series.

Evie's books are always fun to read, but this one had a more serious undertone. It was funny, romantic, and swoonworthy like the others, but there were some serious topics in here.

I really like that she doesn't shy away from the heavier subjects like relationship troubles, betrayal, and unwanted attention.

Sophia has returned to Foxbrooke to get her life back on track. She has been following Isaac's yoga lessons and after a private session that got a little hot they both know their attraction to each other is something they can't persue, due to their own personal problems and life decisions.

To avoid temptation, Isaac runs off to an ashram, not knowing Sophia is headed the same way.

The ashram brings its own set of troubles, pushing them together and breaking them apart.

Even though this book had a more serious tone to it, it was still written in perfect Evie style, with a hilarious side character, funny moments, and romance to die for!

Yet again, she has managed to write a great romcom that I definitely recommend. (Read the other books in the series first, though!)

This was such an unexpected book. I generally anticipate a funny romantic comedy when reading this author's books; however, that is not exactly where this book went. There were funny parts, but I felt this book was more emotional. The main female character, Sophia struggles with anxiety and her struggle was so compellingly expressed that it brought home the battle my family members have with anxiety. So I could fully feel her pain, which leads to the greatest joy when things go her way. I also adored Isaac, the main male character. I love a man so fully in touch with how he feels and on the page in a way that makes it all the more attractive. I have no real experience with yoga, but after reading this book, I feel far more informed and even a bit curious about trying it out. I thoroughly enjoyed this story, it gave me all the feels and I know I will read it again and again. Disclaimer: I received an ARC of this book for an honest review.

I. Could. Not. Put. This. Down.

Well, I had to because life gets in the way, but I loathed putting it down at night. I was on the edge of my seat as to how everything would be brought together in the end because Sophia and Isaac deserved some darn happiness. The main characters are charming, and their relationship is pure heartwarming, BUT the side characters really knocked it out of the park on this one. I would love to get some bonus content for Jessica down the road since I fell in love with her as soon as she boated onto the page. The villians? (And, yes, I said that with an S on it.) I wanted to reach through the page and strangle them both, preferably together and at the same time.

A heartwarming gem from start to effing finish. Wonderfully written and just a genuine good time!

Swoony deliciousness.

I have been so looking forward to Isaac and Sophia’ s story and was absolutely enthralled and delighted by it. There were many uncomfortable and enraging moments - Sophia has certainly had the worst year - but amidst it all the gorgeous and transcending love she finds with Isaac is absolutely swoony, delicious and breathtaking. As always Evie has written a raft of wonderful and awful side characters, and created hilarious, awkward, and uncomfortable situations. The tension created ultimately releases to a wonderful conclusion and perfect HEA. Of course Evie is also the master of steam, and she brings this to new heights in The Love Position. This is another ‘must read’ in the captivating Foxbrooke series that you will not want to miss.

I didn't find this story funny - there's nothing comedic about betrayal - but I found it deeply moving and empowering. We need to always remember that being wronged is not the fault of the wronged, and that the Universe is at work to make it right sooner or later. What is life without hope?
I found this quote very true: "People who do bad things are very good at hiding what they do, and we're so trusting because it would never occur for us to behave the same way."

Good writing, beautiful metaphors and a lot of chemistry made me like this book a lot, and on top of that it gave me some very interesting ideas about yoga perks…

I spent a decade teaching yoga and always wanted to write a romance with a super-hot male yoga instructor and a gorgeous, shy, and super-clumsy student. As well as taking place in Foxbrooke, the second act of The Love Position is set at an ashram in the Caribbean. I wanted to explore what an ashram was like from the perspective of someone completely new to yoga and very much out of their depth, as well as the trope of forbidden love.

This story will tug on your heartstrings, tickle your funny bone, and put a tingle in your underwear… As well as forbidden love, we’ve got a bit of fake dating, a one bed scenario during a tropical storm, hurt/comfort, teacher/student, and age-gap gorgeousness for you!

Forbidden love has never looked so tempting…

Archaeologist Sophia Hunter-Savage’s life is in ruins. After her groundbreaking work is stolen and her heart shattered, she turns to yoga to calm her anxiety. However, the irresistibly hot instructor leaves her breathless.

Isaac Hayward has it all figured out: yoga, meditation, and a firm vow of chastity. But his peace unravels when Sophia, the most distracting woman he's ever met, walks into his class.

Determined to stay on his spiritual path, Isaac runs to an ashram in the Caribbean. But when Sophia turns up, their forbidden attraction becomes impossible to ignore.

Stranded together as a tropical storm rolls in, with only one room – and one bed – can Isaac resist temptation, or will he break the biggest vow he’s ever made?

The Love Position is a sizzlingly steamy, forbidden-love, standalone romantic comedy with a shy academic bringing the hottest yoga instructor in the world to his knees. No cheating, no cliffhanger – just all the lols, all the feels, and a perfect happy ending guaranteed!

“I. Could. Not. Put. This. Down.

Well, I had to because life gets in the way, but I loathed to put it down at night.

Wonderfully written and just a genuine good time!”

“"The Love Position" by Evie Alexander is a sublime experience from start to finish!

Kind-hearted and sweet archaeologist Sophia Hunter-Savage is totally screwed over by her boyfriend and needs some spiritual healing to get her life back on track. She returns to the comforting embrace of her family in the quaint village of Foxbrooke in Somerset. But they have their own share of problems and Sophia is still anxious.
Luckily Sophia finds a friend in Estelle, her brother's fiancé, and Estelle persuades her to join a local yoga class.
Things soon heat up when Sophia meets the gorgeous, kind and sexy yoga instructor Isaac. The two have an instant connection that goes far beyond the physical. Only there’s a big problem! Isaac has taken a vow of chastity!
Both of them fly off to Ashrams for the summer, though they didn’t expect to end up at the same one. Isaac wasn’t meant to be there, but circumstances mean he’s now Sophia’s teacher again. And the attraction hasn’t gone away! It’s got stronger and, oh my, does it get hot! The one-bed storm scene is absolutely perfect. A tropical storm has never been such fun!
This book is a beauty from start to finish. I read it in just over a day and really didn’t want to stop or for it to end. Sorry to say, but you’ll have a guaranteed book hangover with this one. I just can’t stop thinking about it!
Another masterpiece from the awesome Evie.”

You’ll probably pop a lady-boner when you meet him...

This book is so delightful! I was laughing and smiling so much! I loved how Sophia and Isaac had an immediate and powerful connection. One of my favorite parts was when Sophia goes to Isaac’s house for the first time. I’m not going to elaborate because I don’t want to give anything away, but it was very memorable! I loved the “forbidden” romance aspects as Sophia and Isaac have to keep their relationship a secret. I fell in love with both of them and it was such a journey to see them fall in love with each other. Their chemistry is so blazing hot! The ending was absolutely perfect and so satisfying!”

“Another amazing addition to the foxbrooke series!
Evie has done it yet again this book was amazing.
I laughed, I cried and overall I adored this story.
I couldn’t put it down and finished really fast so my feelings are all over the place right now but this book was perfection!”

“I have been so looking forward to Isaac and Sophia’ s story and was absolutely enthralled and delighted by it. This is another ‘must read’ in the captivating Foxbrooke series that you will not want to miss!”

From the outset of the book my soul burned with ire for Sophia. Like how dare her long term partner desecrate their home in such a way. I was heated. I felt so much for Sophia. And the fact that she was a kind enough to ensure the troublesome duo got home is better than I would have done. I think we all have a bit of Sophia in us. The anxiety, wanting to fit in, and ultimately having the capacity for incredible compassion.

From the moment Isaac is introduced, and his celibacy is explained my mind immediately thought… hmm where is Evie going to take this. But as per usual, I am never disappointed. Evie’s ability to find characters that are polar opposites and create not only a funny story but one filled with love and passion is so unique to her.

I was giddy with excitement as I was reading, the characters blossom before our eyes. They have such incredible depth and complexity that reading Evie’s work is always a pleasure.

This book in particular we are introduced to Jessica and when I say she’s laugh out loud funny, it’s an understatement. She is the best friend the Sophia desperately needs. Someone completely on her side and there to support her no matter what.

I absolutely adored the plot in this book. It was in-depth and touched on some difficult topics like eating disorders, sexual assault and abusive power dynamics but Evie did an excellent job of not making them icky or uncomfortable. I thought the book dealt with these topics tastefully.

Sophia is such a strong, yet quiet character. In the previous book we met Estelle and she is a force of nature, whereas Sophia is shy and more introverted. Her heart is so pure and I truly felt connected to her. Isaac has a full transformation from a corporate intense lawyer to a laid back yoga instructor. The growth in both of them was amazing to read.

Additionally, the spice in this book was excellent. This is why I read Evie Alexander books they are hilarious, emotional but so satisfying. By the end of the book I always feel complete and happy and that’s what I want when I escape reality.

Evie’s books get better and better each time I read them. I absolutely adored this one and I cannot wait for the next one to arrive.

After leaving a terrible relationship and struggling with work, Sophia has been feeling anxious and vulnerable. Her friend Estelle brings her along to her yoga class in hopes that she may learn some techniques to ease her mind. When she meets the instructor, they seem to have an instant connection but neither are in a place where they are looking for a relationship.

The Love Position is the fourth full-length book in the Foxbrooke series. While it could be read as a stand-alone, I would highly suggest at least reading book three, The Upper Crush, of the series first. This forbidden love romance does contain open-door content throughout. It is a bit of a slow-burn though.

Content/Trigger Warnings: drug usage, SA, predatory behavior, illness (including vomitting), cheating

While this is a romance and there is humor throughout the book, it does have some heavier content than the rest of the books in this series. Sophia’s new found friend Jessica brings a lot of the much needed sassy banter. I’d love to see her pop up in another book in the future. I need more of her story. I do appreciate the realistic way that the author handles the SA and all of the FMCs feelings and initial reaction.

I look forward to the next book in the series which looks to be a holiday story. Can’t wait!

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Polly, eat your Hart out. Nobody does a love story quite as lovely as Evie.

Now, I'll admit. I was a bit skeptical about Issac. ( I never got over him turning Estelle down.) I was worried he wouldn't be fun?

Well, I was wrong. And so happily so. Issac was sincere and very human. Also, shout out to the villains... they have Umbridge energy. It's one thing for characters to face down impossible evils but quite another to face down somebody who reminds me of an ex.

Love, love, love.

The Love Position by @eviealexanderauthor is an amazing love story filled with yoga and hot moments! 😍🔥

Blurb: Forbidden love has never looked so tempting…

After making a ground-breaking discovery, archaeologist Sophia Hunter-Savage has her work stolen and her heart broken. She needs a safe place to lick her wounds, so retreats to her family home in the village of Foxbrooke. Taking up yoga is the first step on the path to healing, and when she meets the teacher, Isaac, things start to look up.

Can their love last the distance, or is this one position they can’t hold for long?

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I enjoyed reading The Love Position so much!!!Sophia and Isaac have some of the best chemistry in their story, and their character arcs are very well-written. The one bed trope is one of my fave tropes EVER, so when Evie included it, I squealed with joy!!! All the secondary characters in the novel were unforgettable, especially Sophie’s new friend. The writing is impeccable as well, keeping me up well into the odd hours of the morning!

The Love Position is a splendid novel with the usual humor and spice expected from Evie Alexander. However, this entry in the Foxbrooke series is a little darker than expected, so please check the trigger warnings before reading! 🧘‍♀️😊❤️🧘‍♂️

Thank you to Evie Alexander for the opportunity to read/review this ARC! 🤩📚

Namaste! Evie again found her path to success with the story of Sophia and Isaac. It’s another great story in her Foxbrooke series. Isaac is Sophia’s new yoga instructor and there is a mutual instant attraction. Their relationship develops into a deep connection.

They find many obstacles in their path to each other: those in the ashram trying to separate them and their own emotional issues and insecurities. Through it all, they somehow manage to reach other.

I’m looking forward to my next visit to Foxbrooke!
