I have been writing books since before I was in primary school, believe it or not. I wrote a book about trains for my poppa to give him at Christmas when I was 5 years old. I copied information from other books and even drew the pictures! Since then I have been formally educated with a Professional Writing and Communication degree, and copywriting courses, and am now forging a career as a freelance professional writer.
'The Girl From Out of Town', my debut novel, was borne from the National Novel Writing Month competition, a challenge to write 50 000 words in the 30 days of November. I have been competing for 10 years and have "won" every year.
Writing is my passion, and it is now in my life where I am embracing this passion.
