Rate this book

Excellent resource! Extremely handy for my trip there. Honestly I didn't know much about this area. Improved my trip knowing what I was seeing.

Used this because there wasn't a LP specific to Albania, where I had a week's vacation. The Albania section really was just a summary/highlights - I get that a lot of travelers are visiting the Balkans as a tour and not just staying in one country only, but still, it feels like all of these countries could/should have their own guidebooks now, being firmly on the Tourist Trail, as they are.

It’s a decent overview of the various countries, though there is much more info on some places than others. I appreciate that there are some itineraries, but wish there were even more options here.

Aggressively pared down (by necessity), and one of the maps transposes the location of a museum.

Love Lonely Planet guides. Find them a great place to get a base of information for deep diving the internet.
