Those were the terms my daughter's best friend offered me after she caught her ex in bed with her boss. She didn't know that I've wanted her since the day I met her. She didn't expect me to take so much more.
If she wanted to leave with her soul, she never should have offered it up to me on a silver platter. I've waited four years to make her mine. I'm not waiting any longer.
I'll protect her from the dangerous men hunting me. I'll guard her heart when my daughter finds out about us. But that curvy body is mine. I'm not letting her go.
God help anyone who thinks otherwise.
Mila
I've been crushing on my best friend's father since I met him, but I never thought I stood a chance. Until we ended up living together at his beach house, anyway. A little liquid courage was all it took to loosen my tongue.
Two weeks. No strings. No rules. Those were the terms I offered Roman.
I didn't expect him to take them, nor did I expect him to want so much more.
Now, my whole world is changing… and it might go up in flames before everything is said and done. But God help me; I love the way this man burns.
Mister Gregory is a steamy, full-length romance featuring a curvy heroine, an over-the-top alpha, and one wicked proposition. There is no cheating between FMC and MMC.
*previously published as Her Best Friend's Father serial.
Four-time award-winning author Nichole Rose writes deliciously dirty rom-coms, sports, and small-town romance, featuring relatable curvy women and the devoted alpha men who can't live without them. From obsessed billionaires to over-the-top hockey players to the firefighter next door, no one is safe from the hilarious, sassy women she sets loose on the world. She loves delivering relatable characters, hilarious banter, and enough heat to make you squirm.
Nichole also writes dark romance as Nichole Fallon.
When not writing, Nichole enjoys fine wine, cute shoes, and everything supernatural. She is happily married to the love of her life and is a proud ringleader in the world’s most ridiculous chihuahua circus. She and her husband live in central Arkansas.
Review of Mister Gregory As warned by Nichole Rose NOT SAFE (not safe with me) NR said there is no cheating between the MCs but I disagree. For me there is CHEATING. (Heroine was with her boyfriend for 6 months AFTER meeting the hero she is pining after. They made out, he touched her breasts, they dry humped til he came and they groped each other. She is even hurt and crying when she catches the boyfriend cheating.) Virgin heroine (not your regular virgin, she has some experience) Experienced man whore hero, celibate since meeting Mila OM and OW comparisons (not as many as original, but enough for me to still HATE it) No gross condom use Age gap Angst drama HEA I don't believe in. Neither would have pursued the other by choice. He waited 4 years and she was ready to have a whole future with another guy.
Roman: 38 years old, cop, experienced, man slut (he had a fuck fest at 16 with a girl named Lucinda, later their daughter sought him out when she turned 14 and tells Mila his favorite thing was fucking), celibate since he met Mila (says it's because he doesn't have the time but really it's because he is thinking of Mila and that his dick hasn't gotten hard for anyone but her since he met her) ,cowardly pussy (not the alpha we were promised), beta cuck (pining for Mila for 4 years but knows she has a boyfriend and lets it happen and doesn't fight to get her, he even met the guy twice, he even let it happen in order to have an excuse NOT to go after Mila), work means more to him than chasing after his woman, unlikable, mercurial dick, no chemistry with the heroine (he fought his feelings for her for too long, that it doomed their "relationship" from the start. ) Side note: NR wrote in the original Roman being a filthy man slut, but in this version she is trying to make us think he isn't. Quote, "Before her, I always took what I wanted when I wanted it. I didn't fuck around often, but if I wanted something, I took it. " end quote. Quote, "I can't have her, but I haven't been able to touch another woman since I met her because she's all I think about." end quote. It is a slight improvement from the status of the original Roman in the AKM book but there still was a few OW comparisons that made me want to puke! He is the worst hero she has ever written and there is that Ayden K Morgen stench that I cannot shake off.
Mila: early 20's,virgin (technically), in my opinion cheater. She gets wet for her roommate's dad Roman, but does nothing about it, instead she gets a boyfriend and even though she never loved him, it doesn't change a thing because she pictured a future with the guy and did a bunch of sexual things with the guy), she also used sex toys. Quote (Mila's sexual experience with her ex) " How far have you gone before now?" "N-not far." "Oral?" I shake my head no. "Heavy makeout sessions, mostly. Grinding. Um, he got off a few times that way." "You never did?" "He wasn't very good at it," I say with a shrug and then swallow. "I've never been naked with anyone." end quote. She worked at publishing agency, no chemistry with hero, graduated from college. She is the worst heroine NR has ever written that ended up with the worst hero NR has ever written so these two deserve each other.
Yeah, if you like Nichole Rose,I would say AVOID THIS BOOK! DO NOT expect what we know and love her for in this book. It is absent, besides I had whiplash of NR and AKW. The girl wants to fuck but no she wants romance, the hero wants to just fuck her out of his system but in the next second he wants to claim her forever...which is it? Since this was a republishing with changes, a lot doesn't gel, doesn't make sense and that is what happens when you take a story you wrote ages ago and make changes and flourishes to hopefully keep your fan base. I am glad for the few changes I truly am, I can see NR sweetness peeking out, but the dreaded AKW wants to drown her out and take charge and it feels like a Jekyll and Hyde battle. Hyde/AKW won. The book is 500 pages, so way WAY too long especially when you hate the characters and don't root for either of them. Most of the story is the same as the original, with a few changes, a few of them stupid, like the name of the daughter is Tahani instead of Thalia and Mila was with her boyfriend for 6 months instead of 2 years. Even though she omitted some of the OW and OM comparisons she left quite a few in there that made me want to puke. It still doesn't change how much I hate them both. She is homeless and moves in Roman's condo. He doesn't know she is there then sees her, his dick gets hard, she is sad and wants to leave but he says stay. They avoid each other for a few days. He has to deal with the Cartel and tries to protect Mila from the dangerous drug dealers. The whole part of him and the cartel was boring me to tears. He sees her in a bikini and rushes to the bathroom to jack off, she see him and he talks dirty to her. Where he finally got the guts to try and make advances, I have no clue. She gets horny for him and considers what Roman's daughter/Mila's friend advised, to have a fling. Quote, "She told you to have a fling. She did tell me that, but I highly doubt she meant with her father. Still, after what I just witnessed, why can't it be him? It doesn't have to mean anything. I'm not looking for a relationship; I doubt he is either. All I want is to dirty-hot sex. Holding onto my virginity hasn't done me any favors. I'm tired of clinging to it like it's this special thing. It's mine to give away. Why not give it to someone who knows what to do with it? Roman's been single for as long as I've known Tahani. We're attracted to each other. I may not be as old as he is, but I'm an adult. We're both here. Why not go for it?" end quote. She says soon after, Quote, ""It doesn't have to mean anything," I tell my reflection, even though I'm pretty sure I'm lying to myself about that." end quote. I don't believe her when she says she is lying to herself, I think she just wants to fuck. Quote (Mila talking about fucking with no strings attached), " I don't regret what I said to him, though. I meant every word…I just intended to be more or less sober when I said them." end quote Make up your mind Mila, do you want to just want his dick or do you want him? She is giving me whiplash and so does Roman. One second he wants to fuck and likes that she is easy, (his inner monologue saying that her boyfriend was an idiot to let go of a girl who is down to fuck with no strings attached), or does he want her on a deeper level? *throwing hands in the air in frustration* I hate that she treats sex like it's nothing, and it shows in their sex scenes and in the proposal itself. It is soulless, heartless and just a chore to get through. It is just fucking, two bodies rubbing together and that's it. It is not the swoon worthy erotica enhanced with romance like we are used to with NR. For Mila, she wants to fuck (even though NR is trying to make it romantic) and for Roman, he wants to finally get his dick wet and fuck her out of his system. She is drunk and gives a proposition which is the crux of this mess of a story. To have a fuck fest for 2 weeks no strings attached. *heavy eye roll* how romantic *deadpan*. Quote, "She's offering me two weeks with her. Two weeks to do every dirty thing I've ever wanted to do to her. Two weeks to hold her, to fuck her, to work her out of my system and get over whatever the fuck it is about her that makes me feel like I'm spinning out of control. "No strings," she says, like that's a hard limit for her. "No commitments. No rules." Yeah, her ex was a fucking idiot." end quote. Yeah, I see the old Roman and Mila but NR tried to salvage their character with NR sweetness, but it just did not work. Not for me, and I tried hard to forget the original version! They have a whole long sex scene with ice cubes, and since this was and their sexual liaison was nothing but a cheap arrangement, it was too long, and I felt nothing. One thing I did like, is that when she says this is a two week stand, he got angry and makes her say that it isn't. I did not like that she said it was, but I started to warm up to him more, and even side with him when he said it never was a two week stand for him. He seemed to be more invested in their relationship and feel more passionate (compared to the original Roman), more than Mila is for him. That was a pleasant change I appreciated, still not enough to like the book. They go to dinner and her inner monologue says that she was pressured to date in order not to make Tahani suspicious....um, that is the DUMBEST excuse for making it "ok" for her to date when she was half way in love with the hero. Did she have to kiss, grope, make out and dry hump him? What a lying peace of shit Mila is. So about trying to make Roman less of a slut....I think Nichole Rose forgot this scene, Quote, "Oh. What were you into?" He eyes me for a minute. "Fucking," he says bluntly. I blink at his candor, and he shrugs. "I wasn't a good kid, Mila." He isn't upset or embarrassed about his past. He's just telling me the truth. "I slept around. I smoked pot, fought, and raised all kinds of hell." end quote There are a few OW comparisons in here, Quote, "Her mouth is so fucking sweet. I can't get enough of it. I've never been big on kissing. It was always just a means to an end, but I could kiss Mila all fucking day and still not have enough of the way her mouth works with mine."..... I'm not a small guy. I'm not delicate. I like it hard and rough. I love that she gives it back to me as good as she gets it." end quote Quote, "I've never given a fuck about the women I slept with. Mila is different. She isn't just a piece of ass, used to make myself feel better and then never thought about again." end quote Yeah I am done. Too many things killed the romance that wasn't even there. Excuse me while I dry heave. Ok, I am back and I am not going to spend much longer with this book. The irony is Mila talks about loving books and wanting to give the magic of escapism. I laughed because this is the first book from Nichole Rose I wanted so badly to end and scrub the memory of it out of my brain! There is no swoon worthy escapism. God, the irony! They fuck a lot, and that is all it is. Then the drama comes with the daughter breaking the news to her and him making Mila cry thinking about leaving her behind bla bla drama angst bla bla, and just a bunch of nonsense that I read in the original. I am done! I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT, I would avoid it and I wish I never read the original or this rewrite. This review has gone long enough, more happens, but I am not going to get into it. Suffice is to say that I hope we never get another book like that from NR again. I no longer will feel happy and safe with NR for a while, I will always ask myself if her next book is the Nichole Rose sweetness we love her for, or is it another dreaded "Mister Gregory" with triggers galore? I am sad and worried that we are losing her. I wish that this was a one time experimental book, and we get our good old Nichole Rose we know and love back! I love her work too much I am scared we are going to lose the NR sweetness we go to her for. I really am left saddened and worried we are going to lose Nichole Rose and everything we love about her books if she chooses to go this direction. She is one of my very few authors I felt safe with and I want to be hopeful, but after this I am not really. I am not ready to give up on NR and choose to remain hopeful.....for now. Only time will tell. I am going to read one favorite rom com after another, starting with "Crazy Love" by MINK and a few Ella Goode favorites. That should lift my mood and make me forget "Mister Gregory". Below with links is my review on the original books she wrote under the pen name Ayden K Morgen. I read them a few weeks ago thinking I found a treasure trove of old NR books but it was just the opposite.
DISCLAIMER!! This is NOT the re release review of "Mister Gregory" under the name Nichole Rose, this is a review of the original material written by Ayden K Morgen (aka Nichole Rose's) "The Best Friend's Father Saga". I browsed amazon and saw that Nichole Rose is re releasing the Saga she wrote under AKM pename under the title "Mister Gregory" and because I could not wait until June 4th I found the books, discovered that Nichole Rose and Ayden K Morgen are the same author and read it. Below is a review on the books by AKM. On Amazon, Nichole Rose says that in this re release, "Mister Gregory" "There is no cheating between FMC and MMC but this is NOT a traditionally safe Nichole Rose romance." I still don't know how she will manage that but I am still curious to read "Mister Gregory" when it comes out June 4th. Below is my review on the original material she wrote under the name "Ayden K Morgen". I always have a smile on my face and my spirits lifted, waiting with anticipation whenever Nichole Rose releases a new book, to then hungrily read them and be swept away by her swoon worthy heroes, and sweet sassy heroines. I saw that she is going to release a book on June 4th called "Mister Gregory", so I was excited and read that it was already written under the name Ayden K Morgan, "The Best Friend's Father Saga" a long story divided into 4 books, "Devour Me", "Destroy Me" (both short), "Defend Me", 'Desire Me" (I skimmed the last two as they were too long, too repetitive and I just wanted it to be over). There is a Mr. Gregory book you can get from bookfunnel I think, for free and it is just a recap on how they met, and their life with kids. It was just ok, I hated the MMC so I was not invested. Roman and Mila met when he moved his daughter Talia in her college dorm and met the heroine who is her roommate. It is insta lust between Roman Gregory and Mila, so much so that he goes to the bathroom to jack off, and she is smitten with him. Years later they reconnect, it is an age gap story. I HATED the characters! I HATED the story.
I did not bother writing a review for books 3 and 4 since I speed read them, skimmed a big part but in my review of book 2 I wrote a small summary of what happens. It was far too long and too many characters in it, plus, I did not care AT ALL for the hero and heroine as I hated them both. They both sucked! If you want a summary of the AKM "The Best Friend's Father Saga", here it is below.
Firstly, how they meet, is that Mila is the hero's daughter's college roommate, and they fall in lust when they meet. (In another book called Mr. Gregory, there is a chapter about how right after they first meet, Roman Gregory was so hard he went to beat his meet in the college bathroom.) They see each other when his daughter Talia and him have father daughter time, she brings Mila with them, but they do nothing about it. He was lusting after her for 4 years. Meanwhile Mila has a boyfriend of 2 years and she saw herself spending her life with the boyfriend, and that is AFTER she meets and falls for the hero. She is heartbroken that she found her boyfriend in bed with her boss. She moves into Roman's condo on the beach, and drunkenly proposes to have a fuck fest with him for the two weeks she is there, no strings attached. (I hate the premise, because it makes the sex so cheap, and it felt cheap.) Roman fucks so many women he is the BIGGEST man whore. He talks about pussy, and how he loves fucking, that when he feels overwhelmed he finds pussy to fuck. There is so much OW comparisons, how he likes it, how he has ropes in his house in LA to tie women to fuck them, since he doesn't have those to play with he resorts to his neck ties. Too much talk of how he loves pussy and how he likes to fuck. And no, I don't think he was celibate for 4 years. At one point in the story he yells at her and she cries, then he says he is sorry, they fuck A LOT, which is fine, but I was so sick of her comparing him to her ex, and him comparing her to all the women he stuck his dick in. I read the sex scenes with a grimace on my face. It was too much, and he keeps leaving her because he has a cartel drug bust to take care of, so to "keep her safe", she needs to stay in Sacramento while he is in his fuck pad in LA (no he doesn't fuck anyone else since they reconnect). The 3rd book was far too long and it is him leaving her for days on end to work on stopping the cartel, then reuniting to fuck her only to then leave again, mind you she is pregnant with their baby, and he is missing most of the pregnancy because of his self imposed separation. The 4th book was too long as well, it is mostly secondary characters in this universe, I skimmed through it because it was more of the same, and even though they say I love you many many times, I just didn't feel it. I just hate Ayden K Morgan, and to know that she IS Nichole Rose makes me dread that the Nichole Rose we know and love will revert back to Ayden K Morgan. Even though she says there will be no cheating between the MMCs in this new rerelease, I don't see how this can be redone, unless she changes ALOT! The man whore hero and his talk of fucking OWs, the cheating heroine, the cheating man whore hero, the 4 year separation, and just the depressing mood the whole story is. I regret reading it, when I realized that NR and AKM are the same, I thought I found a treasure trove of more Nichole Rose, instead I found the exact opposite. AKM books are filled with dread, unworthy MMC, cheating and leaves you depressed, angry and in a shitty mood. Knowing that Roman and Mila's story is going to be republished under the new title "Mister Gregory"makes me so scared that we are going to lose Nichole Rose, even if it is for this one book, but she is re releasing another book that was bleak, heart wrenching, anger inducing and just depressing called "Fight For You". She is re releasing it under the pen name Nichole Fallon. And yes I hated that book too. It is not safe!
I am dreading this rerelease. I am still going to read it to see how the changes will compare to the original, but the source material alone is not promising. Still I will write a review along side this one once I read "Mister Gregory" when it comes out. I don't know what to think, but I am really dreading this change. I think Nichole Rose is slowly going to revert back to Ayden K Morgen.
I dnf at 30% I love Nichole and her books for some odd reason. I just couldn't connect with these characters. It was a slowinsta or a slow sex... that had me skim few times. And then when I took a pause I saw it was 513 PAGES!!!
If this was cut in half maybe like 200 pages cool. But it felt so slow. Now for safety wise. h was dating some dude for awhile this was when she knew the H (since it was her bff dad and they both didn't wanna cross the line) her and the bf did stuff but never had sex and H was Celibate since meeting the h. So if you wanna read go at it.
Holy hotness!! Before I go on, Mister Gregory is a much different book from what we are used to reading from Nichole Rose. With that being said, holy hotness book world!! Mister Gregory(Roman) is the very hot, very grumpy father of Mila’s best friend. Roman is struggling to let his precious daughter, Tahani, go and start college. When Tahani’s new roommate enters, Roman knows he is done for, and there is absolutely nothing he can do about it. Roman would never act on his feelings as there is a huge age-gap and Mila is his daughter’s best friend. Of course we all know that fate always has a way of making things happen. Skip to 4 years later, and Mila has a plan, work hard at her job, move out of her place she has shared with Tahani, move in with her boyfriend and live happily ever after. And in one moment, everything changes, when Mila catches her boyfriend in bed with her boss, and gets fired all in the span of 5 minutes, Mila’s plan is no longer a plan. So what happens, her best friend of course offers a place to stay, her father’s beach house as he is on a case, and isn’t using it. Mila accepts begrudgingly, and that is when fate steps in, because when things go sideways in Roman’s case, he has to escape to his house on the beach!!! Roman finds the woman he has been dreaming, lusting, obsessing, wanting for 4 years in his house. Roman tries everything to stave off his feelings, but in a wine fuelled haze, Mila gives Roman an offer, an offer that Roman cannot refuse: two weeks, two weeks of smex, no rules, no commitments, no feelings…..famous last words. Mister Gregory has marvellously “smexual” scenes, ice play, restraints, rough spicy scenes, and some trigger warnings. The twists and turns, the heartache and heartbreak in the is book are so magnificently written that you feel it all. I could not stop reading, I loved it!! Do not miss this book!!
This book was nothing like Nichole Rose normally writes. It was actually a full length book a bit too long for my liking at 500 pages. The first 50% is them having sex and admitting their feelings. The last 50% was sex in between light suspense.
Dual pov Virgin h celibate H Epilogue eh not much changed wasn’t that far out

OMG!!! WOW!! Fab*u*lous Absolutely love this one!! I couldn't put this one down. This was a nice quick, short read.

With Roman by Mila's side she knows she'll always be safe, and always be loved and she couldn't asks for anything more.

Work of freaking art. That's what this book was. Usually when I open a book and see it is super long I tend to groan a little. But a 500 page book written by Nichole Rose? Heck yes! I had been anticipating this for as long as she has talked about it. You might ask, can $mut be beautiful? Well, yes it can. Simply because the potent love between these two was so freaking strong, it knocks you sideways. You could feel their love emanating off the pages. Their chemistry was seriously the hottest I've ever read. Roman is a complex character. He has wanted Mila for years. But with his job, he is scared to go there with her. He is incredibly strong and smart when it comes to defeating the enemies he's up against. And with Mila? He is super protective, possessive and utterly obsessed. He worships her in every way possible. I cried several times while reading this. Some were happy tears, some sad and some completely wrecked. They go through so much throughout these pages. But some things stand strong, their love and devotion to each other. Nothing will stand in the way of them being together. Not even his daughter/her best friend. Once he gets his hands on Mila it is game over for both of them. They are right where they are meant to be. Mila was awesome. She was your typical Nichole Rose heroine. Feisty and sweet. He calls her a warrior and she truly shows that she is. She stands strong through it all even when she wants to collapse. The secondary characters were awesome too. Tahani, Brady, Finn, etc. They added so much to it. The drama and danger was perfectly written. It keeps you on the edge of your seat and flipping the pages. I loved that everything wasn't tied up in a pretty bow. It seemed so real and raw and imperfect, as is life. But one thing stands perfect, their freaking love. Holy cow. I could not get enough. It took me a couple days to read this simply because I didn't want it to end. I had to pace myself. And when I did finish it, I wanted 500 more pages. Lol. Nichole, you should be so incredibly proud of this work. It was so beautiful.
I received a complimentary copy and am voluntarily leaving my honest review.
Four years ago, Roman Gregory took his daughter, 17-year old Tahani McPherson to college. She is nervous that her roommate might not like her. Roman never knew he had a daughter until Tahani called him when she was 13. When 18- year old Mila Lawson walks into the room, she and Roman stare at each other. There is an instant connection that can not be explored.
Now, they have graduated from college and Tahani and Mila are still best friends. Mila was supposed to stay in Berkeley, move in with her boyfriend Damien and continue working for Lizette in book publishing. She goes to drop off some stuff at Damien’s home and finds him and Lizette having sex. Apparently, they have been seeing each other for over 2 months behind Mila’s back. Luckily, Mila never slept with Damien and is still a virgin. Mila is stunned by what she sees and then Lizette fires her on the spot. So now, Mila is homeless and jobless.
Tahani is moving to Sacramento with her boyfriend, Trent, who plays professional basketball. She tells Mila to move with them, but Mila turns her down. Instead, Tahani gives Mila the key to her dad’s condo in Santa Cruz. She has always had a crush on Mr. Gregory but doesn’t know why he always avoids really talking to her. Tahani tells Mila that since her dad is on a case in Los Angeles, the condo will be empty. Mila agrees that it will be a good place to relax and plan out what she has to do next.
Roman Gregory is an ATF agent who works undercover to keep the cartel from bringing in guns and drugs. His undercover operation has gone sideways. He is on a temporary suspension while there is a shooting investigation. Roman killed a cartel member who had a gun pointed at the head of his partner Brady’s son. Brady Kaplan blew his cover and caused them to lose a half a million dollars in guns. Since they don’t know if Roman’s cover is blown, he has to lie low.
Roman is on his way to the Santa Cruz condo to relax while on suspension. He does not know that Mila is staying there.
The chemistry between Roman and Mila was off the charts. I love that Roman is so protective of Tahani and Mila. I love that Mila is as Roman puts it “a warrior”. Great, action packed story.
Full length novel so we get more of their story? Check! Her filthiest, smuttiest book yet? Double check! This may have no been the typical “safe” Nichole Rose book, but I loved it all the same! She wrote it in such a way that it just made sense and had more realism than the insta love storylines sometimes do. I adore the insta love, but this seemed more real life to me. Read TW before reading, as this book throws a lot out there, but there’s no cheating or OM/OW once the main couple gets together. There’s no one else since meeting the FMC for the MMC, but the FMC does have a boyfriend after meeting because she doesn’t think anything could ever happen with the MMC. The FMC is still a virgin though after she finds her boyfriend cheating and dumps him. So while that’s not the typical story line for Nichole Rose, how she wrote it didn’t take away any of the chemistry for me at all. I found the main characters had intense chemistry, I’d argue more than any other couple shes written so far, and I loved how their love story progressed. The book really picks up in the second half with suspense, danger, a bit of violence and their love story takes off as well. I couldn’t recommend this book enough! Seriously, so well written and kept me engaged the whole time. I’m really hoping for more books around the side characters!!
It’s like 500 pages of mental gymnastics to justify writing and romanticizing a male lead that views women as disposable and not human. It’s kind of exhausting to keep reading authors who not only try and justify that behavior but romanticize it.
There’s absolutely nothing redeeming in reading the various inner monologues where Roman doesn’t even see the women on the other side of his cock when he fucks them but just holes or him reminiscing about how many faceless women he’s fucked and discarded like they weren’t even people. 😕 Truly groundbreaking writing. It sounds like every rape-y scumbag but with the added benefit of having a daughter so he has access to language and justification of not seeming like a predator.
Don’t recommend. This author seems unsafe. Women already get dehumanized in relationships IRL and now we get the added bonus about reading about it in fiction calling it “romance” 🙃 Don’t even get me started on the OW comparisons that the MMC was enjoying in his head while being intimate with the FMC not just once but MULTIPLE times. It was giving “women are disposable and interchangeable/replaceable” 🙄
I really struggled with this review. I love Rose’s books and have read all but two or three. This is the lowest I’ve ever rated her. My thoughts (in no particular order):
-super steamy! Loved that!! -excellent writing. -it was soooooo long. I felt like it took me so long to read it. For my reading style, I shy away from books over 400 pages because it takes days to read and I keep getting in and of the story (stupid adulting). -it felt like two books and very easily could have been made into two books. The first 50% was pretty much hot s*x (I mean, yes!)/falling in love and the second 50% was suspense (again, yes!) but it kind of felt disjointed. Like it almost wasn’t the same characters. -it reminded me very much of Nicole Snow’s book formats (or at least the ones I’ve read).
If you’re a fan of 500+ page books, I think you’ll like it because the writing is exactly what Rose always delivers. I think it isn’t my favorite (or anywhere close to) because it took me so long to get through it.
Hot Damn! Nichole delivers yet again bringing us alpha hotness in the form of Roman Gregory. Off limits because he's the dad of Mila's best friend. For 4 years he's been the subject of her fantasies, her driving force behind her climaxes. So when after some liquid courage she offers up a two week no strings attached he says yes, all bets are off. What Mila doesn't realise is how long Roman has been thinking about and wanting her. Can the two of them leave it at two weeks, or will their spark burn so bright they refuse to put it out? If you enjoy dual pov writing, spice, dirty talking alpha males, curvy virgin females, instalove, instaromance, steamy scenes, an array of sexual desires met, angst, off limits romance, age gap romance, HEAs then you'll love this. 5/5 stars definitely a repeat read, brilliant book.
I have no words for how much I love this story! It is full of smut (thank god for that) and emotions and love, and it was full length! Notice how smut was the first thing I mentioned ;) This is not your typical Nichole Rose book in some ways, but she makes that very clear in the warnings. Please read those if you think this may not be for you! It is definitely a bit darker and grittier, which I am totally here for. An emotional rollercoaster in the best way. This couple earned their love story and that made the epilogues so much sweeter. Understand that this is a story where our H&h go through some things before they reach their HEA, but know that they get there. I hope we revisit some more of the characters introduced here in the future beyond the upcoming Fight for You!
Wow, this was so hot the steam was coming off the pages! Roman and Mila meet when he takes his daughter to move into her college dorm and Mila is her roommate. Roman is obsessed with one look. Mila has a huge crush on him but doesn’t think she stands a chance. Four years on Mila is staying at Roman’s condo after finding her boyfriend in bed with her boss. When Roman arrives unexpectedly they suddenly find themselves unable to resist each other any longer. Roman is there hiding out from a drug cartel after being undercover. The suspense, twists and turns were fantastic, totally absorbing. I didn’t enjoy the comparisons to past partners or the fact the Mila was seeing someone else dispute being in love with Roman. Well written story with amazing chemistry, an obsessed, protective hero, drama, suspense, danger and a wonderful HEA
This would most definitely have been a 4 star, but it was just too long.
Look the sexy times were SEXY, but, and I CAN'T believe I'm saying this, but there was way too much focus on this in the beginning, so much so that I was eventually wondering when we were going to get to the story part.
The drama around the cartel was coming , we all knew it was, but we really went the looong way round to get there... most of the book focussed on the 2 weeks of love lust at the beach house, and then, when they FiNaLLy made their way to LA and we could enjoy them as a real couple, in amongst the drama and danger, we literally flew through the last quarter.
I dunno, this book was good, it is Nichole Rose after all, but we spent most of the book (the long part of the book) focused on the lust part and not enough on the love part
This book did not disappoint im so glad Nichole wrote a long story it was really lovely to be absorbed in Mila and Romans story. You know when nichole writes about an other Alpha man it’s going to be good. Instant flow between these two when the first meet, when she moves in with romans daughter, fast forward 4 Yeats later and mika is living her life and living with her boyfriend but that all changes when she catches her boss and her boyfriend in bed, she looses her job too. When her friend offers her a place to stay in a beach house that isn’t in use as he dad is on assignment, enter Roman needing a place to lay low and with wine and feelings mila offers Roman a deal he can’t refuse! Loved every page congrats nichole x also steamy levels of the charts 🔥🔥🔥
Mister Gregory is not your usual NR romance, so if you're a safety reader like me, I highly recommend you check out the trigger warnings. I'm not a strict one so I moved forward and I'm happy that I did.
This is darker and longer than I'm used to from NR but I did enjoy it.
The chemistry between Mila (h) and Roman (H) was off the charts (even when they tried to deny it and ignore one another). If smut is your jam then this is jam-packed with it. Aside from the smut, the story will have you on the edge of your seat. What both MCs went through while together and separate had my heart breaking. But no worries! In true NR fashion, they get their HEA.
I received a complimentary copy from the author and I am voluntarily leaving my HONEST review.
Mr. Gregory that's it... This was a longer read then most of the books I have read by Nichole Rose. But it was steamy loveable goodness and I was here for every word and every chapter. This is a must read Mila and Roman (Mr. Gregory) just takes you on a mini journey. I would highly recommend this if you have some triggers then this isn't for you. This isn't the usual Nichole Rose romance that you are you to from her. If this was in TV it would be rated MA. She gives a content advisory disclaimer so take all that into account before diving in.
I absolutely LOVED it!!!! I know this isn’t the normal Nichole Rose but I AM OBSESSED!!!!! Roman & Mila are true soulmates🩷 I swooned so many times!!! The chemistry between them is OFF THE CHARTS🔥 The smexy times are hot AF and so intense you need a fan and new panties afterwards 🫠 I felt all the feels while reading! Everything they went through together and separate tore at my heartstrings 🥺💔 It had me on the edge of my seat while reading it! I loved this book so so much!!! I want more!!! I want his daughters book, I want the other side characters stories!! I just want more lol
I am completely OBSESSED with this book!! Highly highly highly recommend it!!!!
I received this as an arc from the author and I’m voluntarily leaving my honest review.
This was a phenomenal best friend’s dad romance. It was so well written and a lot longer than what I’m used to from this author but the twists and turns just had me at the edge of my seat. It was super steamy but a side from that it was also just a great story. Mila and Roman had fantastic chemistry and I loved how she pushed his buttons. I just loved it and I would love to read more stories like this from the author.
This is definitely one of my favorites from Nichole. I ate this up. The chemistry between Mila and Roman was so evident right from the beginning even when they both tried to deny it and ignore one another. When they finally allow themselves to feel it, and give in - they don’t expect all that’s going to follow. It was intense, spicy and pulled at all my heart strings all at once. Not only are their secrets they have to workout with one another, but also others too. The added suspense was just the thing you keep you on the edge of your seat and wanting more.
This wasn't the typical Nichole Rose story that I'm used to but I have to say...I loved it! Unlike her other books, there was more smut than usual (and I'm here for it) and there are other ways it's not a typical Ms. Rose book but she does give warnings in the beginning...so make sure you read those if they're on your list to not read. Roman and Mia were great together...even though she had a string of bad luck, Roman's love was always there to protect her. This was a great story!
Mister Gregory is Mila and Roman's best friend's father HEA. It's not your usual Nichole romance. It's darker and naughtier. I really enjoyed it! Mila's life falls apart and her best friend offers her a place to stay. Little does she know she isn't the only one who needs a place to hide from the world. It was SO good! Roman was a dirty talking daddy and I'm here for it😍🔥
Wow I have no words for how good this book was! Definitely a little darker (and longer) than Nichole Rose’s usual books but as per usual anything she writes blows me away. Roman may be the most alpha she’s ever written and boy was it hot. And I adored Mila and how strong she was. I just loved them together. And the bonus epilogues? Beyond swoony!
This book was a roller-coaster to my emotions. It was 🔥 and spicy and sometimes over the top, but it was also sweet and loving. Roman and Mia are amazing together. Even though evil finds her over and over in many ways, there is always Roman's love to protect her. ❤️ I am from Modesto, so that's an added bonus...lol Very highly recommended
Nichole is one of my favorite authors, and this book is already one of his favorites too. Love the plot of this story, as from the first moment Mr. Gregory met Mila the attraction was intense. But it took four years for them to give in to their feelings and be together. This is a novel, so there are more chapters to enjoy from beginning to end.
This book was good but the constant monologue of Roman to himself about his dangerous job and all that entails over and over.and over again was exhausting. The overall story was good but between that and the actual job that did take up a lot of the book made it drag at times.
Roman and Mila book was an amazing and fun story to read. Meeting your college roommate and her dad and finding love and the family Mila wanted and needed in life. Roman fighting against chemistry and love because of his daughter, age, job. Both learning they both had been fighting feeling for each other. 😂
From.the moment Mila and Roman meet there is an attraction but for four years they ignored it but now that they are alone in Romans condo all bets are off for the two weeks that Mila asks for but Roman knows two weeks will never be enough and he will do anything to keep her in this tantalizing tale.
