Royal has more trouble than he can handle. His father's been murdered, and the killer is trying to destroy the Sawyers any way they can. The last thing he needs is to complicate his life further. Like, say, with a woman. But Daisy Hutchins doesn't feel like a complication, she feels like the only thing that makes sense in a life turned upside down.
Daisy isn't looking for any kind of complication, especially one of the male variety. She has enough trouble of her own, and men have brought her nothing but bad luck. Royal swears he's different. The scary thing is...Daisy almost wants to believe him. Everything about Royal screams danger for a normal girl like her. Royal is gorgeous, rich, and powerful. Daisy should send him packing before he makes everything worse. But when he smiles, all she can think is Yes
Sweet Heart is a standalone romance with a happy ending. It’s second in The Hearts of Sawyers Bend series, featuring the Sawyer family of Sawyers Bend.
Ivy Layne has had her nose stuck in a book since she first learned to decipher the English language. Sometime in her early teens, she stumbled across her first Romance, and the die was cast. Though she pretended to pay attention to her creative writing professors, she dreamed of writing steamy romance instead of literary fiction. These days, she’s neck deep in alpha heroes and the smart, sexy women who love them.
Married to her very own alpha hero (who rubs her back after a long day of typing, but also leaves his socks on the floor). Ivy lives in the mountains of North Carolina where she and her other half are having a blast raising two energetic little boys. Aside from her family, Ivy’s greatest loves are coffee and chocolate, preferably together.

Sweet Heart is sweet. Just like the title. Miss Layne build a story based in romance and suspense. I do like her way balancing these 2 aspects.
Royal is just sweet heart. He got my heart with his first hello. Daisy is not damsel in distress. She actually very smart and independent. She not shy with her sexuality. And she knows what she wants. Which is Royal. She has backbone.
Looking forward for the other books in this series.
I can't express enough how much I freaking love this book!! I didn't even get to read the first book of this series but thankfully I wasn't that confused and I ATE THAT BOOK UP! Royal and Daisy were just the prefect couple. they weren't over the top or underwhelming, they were just right and I love them for that.
The plot, the whole story, every character were the right amount of perfect and the ending got me so excited to read the next book.
YOU NEED TO READ THIS BOOK ASAP! or the whole series really.
note to the author: please change the cover :( no hate on the cover model but the cover doesn't give this story any justice.
Loved it! I honestly didn’t think any brother (or sister) could beat Griffins book. Maybe because I felt like I knew Griffin from the other 2 series but still.... I loved Royal. Like why don’t guys like that really exist?!? Can’t wait for Tenns book. Only down fall is having to wait so long between books. I could soo be a binge reader .. but then again what would I do without something to look forward to?! I love all of Ivy’s stories. The Winters and the Sinclair’s now the Sawyers ... I can’t wait to see who’s behind if all... I want to say Brice big ugh I just don’t know! Daze is a great leading lady... works hard, down to earth with real problems. Owns her wrong doings and has such a big heart. Always doing what’s right for everyone else not what’s right for her ... she’s a true human being. Or the way everyone should be. I love that we still got to hear/read about Griffin and Hope and Savanah... please tell me Savanah and Finn become a thing.... can’t wait to find out! Def recommend!
Sweet Heart is book #2 in Ivy Layne’s Hearts of Sawyer’s Bend Series. Just like with Stolen Heart I was addicted to these characters and story from the first to last page. Layne weaves romance and suspense perfectly keeping you at the edge of your seat until you unravel it all.
Royal works for his family’s inn. He is hardworking, respectful and protective. Daisy works for her grandmothers bakery. She came across as slightly weak in the beginning but as the book goes on we really see big growth in her character. I loved the way she stood up to her family and I loved that she always did what was right when it was difficult. The two had incredible chemistry.
There is still so much to uncover in this series. In book# 1 we learnt that Prentice Sawyer (Royal and Griffen’s father) was murdered and that remains unsolved. I cannot wait for Scheming Heart later this year where hopefully more is revealed.
Royal and Daisy are very likable characters. There wasn’t really any drama between them. Royal has a reputation as a playboy but you only know that because it’s told to us. No ex’s lurking or hints of him being anything other than a straightforward good guy who is all in after he meets Daisy.
The drama is saved for Daisy’s family and the continuation of who killed Royal’s father. Her father is a heartless conman and it’s wrenching to see how he plays on Daisy and her Gram.
I really enjoyed this but I later realized the drama never moved the story forward or had any resolution or satisfying answers related to what happens with Royal or why him specifically. I know there are A LOT of siblings to go so I’m hoping there’s more advancement or some individual resolution in the upcoming books.
Overall, I recommend this series and this book. I was glued to every page because of the intrigue and suspense. I’m also more and more curious about these complicated siblings and how we’re seeing them come together for each other. The bonfire is my favorite scene. It was also my first impression of Parker and I’m anxious to get to her story.
I received a copy of this book from the author for an honest review.
Another great book from Ivy Layne! I'm loving this new series and the second book met all my romance reader expectations - a steamy romance with an interesting little mystery adventure.
Royal is my new favorite book boyfriend! He's gorgeous, smart, sweet, kind, and romantic. He's a perfect balance to Daisy's slightly quirkier personality. I love these two together and how he takes care of her - definitely swoony!
If you like sweet romance stories with a twist of a murder mystery and a super hot guy, then READ THIS BOOK!
Spoilers in this review: Someone needs to explain to this author that the last chapter in a book is not always an epilogue. Sometimes is the conclusion. Not all books have epilogues. She does this often and epilogue 1 in this book is definitely not an epilogue. It resolves the issues with grams which are a big part of the story.
That aside, after being disappointed with book one I continued to read because the Sinclair books, book 1 was bad, but 2 was really good. Maybe this would redeem itself. It didn’t.
The sub theme of who killed P and F being in jail is basically ignored. Even the trouble at the inn is ignored. No investigation or shows of heightened security. Daisy got punched in the face right at the beginning, your telling me G didn’t get Sinclair in there to train their security? These guys wait around until all the answers fall on their laps. It’s annoying because there is so much you can do with that thread, and it seems to go against everything we know about G. Granted G was barely present in this book. He’s the new head of house and even if this is R’s story, G needs to have a presence.
The storyline with the bakery and grams. I get being sweet talked into leaving it to her son, but Daisy and her had talked partnership prior to that. With how she’s described I would think she would leave the bakery to the two of them. Also, she can’t be blind. The bakery is Daisy’s baby. I didn’t realize Daisy wasn’t the owner til halfway through the book. Ok, maybe not halfway. As much as she loves her son, she wouldn’t have taken it away from Daisy. Son or no son, she isn’t stupid. She would know her soon needed looking after. And, let’s just say she was blinded by love, would she be crying to JT about Daisy quitting the way she did? No, she would know how betrayed Daisy was and that she had made that choice. Again, this goes against her character and felt contrived to push the plot where the author wanted. Needless to do this, if anyone bothered to actually investigate the inn.
The thread with JT was just wasted paper. So he kisses a boy when he’s 13, gets taken in by D and G and doesn’t know how to tell them he’s gay? The whole town knows. Hope tells us this book one. And he comes back at the end to be stabbed. Not needed. Same thing would have worked without JT. Royal could have been there to pick up D. D could have been alone and attacked. It felt like it took from the book.
The thing with the contract felt off too, specially since there seemed to be an easy answer. So, why wasn’t it in the cloud? But dad does not know that. Simply saying that she had a back up copy filed with the accountant and she would pick it up in the morning would be enough. Her father would try to sweet talk his way out of it and give himself away. And Grams doubting D took it? Sorry, it sounds like it was Ds money. She does all the hard work, and has all the recipes. She leaves the bakery fails.
Then comes the romance. I can see why D warms to R, but why did R go for D? Because she saved them? I didn’t see anything to show him falling in love. The steamy scenes felt rushed. Even the tower was contrived.
In short, contrived story that does not advance the overall plot of the series.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review. Reading an advanced copy not only satisfies my craving for another book in this series and allows me to hopefully get others engrossed in this series!
I really enjoyed the latest installment of the Sawyer family story. Sweet Heart took us deeper into the Sawyer siblings, their relationship and Daisy’s family. It was great to dive into Royal’s home life, business and the day to day of Heartstone Manor. I loved seeing Royal put his nasty cousin Bryce in his place (I re-read those pages at least 5 times) and felt the love when he and his siblings found some redemption for Prentice's version of parenting. Finn's continued frustrations with Heartstone's cook has me guessing where that may lead in the future, and I suspect we'll see more of his discerning palate in Ivy's next book. I liked getting to know Royal and Daisy outside of their romance, experience conflict and resolution in their relationship and witness every loving moment between them. They are truly a model (and relatable) couple!
Ivy has a gift of pulling readers into her books and feeling part of the storyline. Sweet Heart may have been her best example of that to date! She continues to intertwine previous couples and characters, quenching my thirst for more Griffen and Hope, and the studly West Garfield. There are more supporting characters in this series than with the Winters’ family, but I feel I now know them each personally and look forward to reading more about them. As usual, for as long as this book was, it ended too soon and I’m craving more Royal and Daisy, and the Sawyer family as a whole. I can’t get enough!
This is the 2nd story in The Hearts of Sawyer’s Bend series and in this one we get to see Daisy and Royal find their journey to love. Daisy helps her Grandmother run her bakery and works early mornings until late afternoons and is trying to bring in new business to cover a loan she gave her father. Daisy knows she will have issues getting the money back but wanted to believe in her father just 1 time. These parents should be ashamed of themselves for what they have not done and do to Daisy over the years, they are absolutely horrible. One early morning Daisy goes to the Inn to share her baked items hoping to get a new account and has a run in with a man looking to create havoc for the Inn and ends up injured. When Royal shows up Daisy is glad and ends up having a private meeting with him and he flirts with her while feeding her breakfast and taking care of her injuries. Royal is a know player and is one of the Sawyer sons and has his own family issues that seem to be more annoying then harmful until one things turn upside down. I love how Royal sticks to his feelings for Daisy and shows her he genuinely cares for and once they start to date things seem very natural between them. I think we all wish we had a best friend like TJ and it’s great to see his life change along with Daisy’s. There are several people that are from Sawyers Bend and some unknown who are to hurt the Sawyer’s and it gets a bit crazy before things come together for Daisy and Royal. It was great to see all the other Sawyer siblings make an appearance through out the story. I love forward to the next story in this series! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Just when you think things can't get more interesting, Ivy throws another curveball into the underlying plot that is so carefully and masterly interwoven into the storyline so that you are left utterly astonished. I am totally invested in this series and the underlying plot about the murder of the patriarch Pentrice Sawyer and the attempted murder of everyone bearing the last name Sawyer. Royal Sawyer is the black sheep of the family and just like the rest of the family including the awful cousin Bryce and Ophelia, he is forced to live at the Heartstone Manor. If anyone refuse horrible cousin Bryce will inherit everything. To say Pentrice Sawyer was a horrible miserable person is an understatement, add into the mix the vindictive Vanessa Sawyer and you have twists, turns drama and murder.
The story revolves around Royal and Daisy who works in her grandmother's bakery. Daisy is a sweet loving girl who has some awful parents and she was raised by her grandmother. Her father is a conniving manipulating horrible man who stoops as low as using his mother and own daughter and her mother is passive just going through the motions. Daisy gets dragged into the Sawyer saga by her father. Daisy is a phenomenal baker and she has caught the eye of Royal Sawyer and while she is attracted to him, she can't believe a word he says because of his playboy rep. I loved the interactions and chemistry between Royal and Daisy as well as the family interactions, especially when Royal lays down the law for Bryce. Amazing Read - Highly recommended.

I like Ivy Layne's books and enjoyed the Winters, Sinclairs and the other series that featured one of the Sinclair brothers (Axl, I think), so I was looking forward to reading The Hearts of Lawyers Bend. So far, this series lacks the dept the other books had.
In this, the second book of the series, I found Royal and Daisy's story lightweight. The relationship felt superficial, the pace mostly boring, the characters bland, and the FMC very wishy-washy - same as Griffin and Hope's book.
Royal and Daisy's romance was not convincing. In my view, Daisy constantly put other people in her life ahead of Royal - J.T., her parents, her grandmother. She had no problem speaking to J.T. about her issues, but ran away from Royal when he asked, no, begged her to tell him what was wrong. Then there was this whole "thing" about Daisy and J.T. sharing a bed ... I don't care if he was gay, that was just off, and too touchy-feely for best friends of the opposite sex.
Royal, although a nice, kind, trustworthy guy, was not fleshed out enough. He felt like a side character in his own love story, just there as a prop for Daisy and her many issues. He supposedly had this player reputation, but a good reason for why he was suddenly looking for "the one" was never given. We don't even know when he first had feelings for Daisy - has he always had his eye on her? did he fall for her instantly when they met for the first time at the start of the book? There was no explanation or background to give insight into his change of mind about relationships, and this did not help the chemistry requirement for romance novels. Their romance was bland with no real angst (except for Daisy's illogical thought processes).
Talk about bland (and I noticed this in the first book as well), but the spice could have been better. I don't know if the author is going in a new direction, but both books had a couple of (very tame) spicy scenes between the 50-70% mark, and thereafter such scenes were quickly glossed over, like in one paragraph.
I'll give this series another go with Tenn's story, but if the same formula is followed in his book, it might be time for me to move on to something more exciting.
I am a huge fan of this author. She is meticulous and professional in her story content and the way she proofs every line. It is always an enjoyable read and I highly recommend her library. I’ve been with This author since she started pretty much and I have read every book in her library at least 2-3 times. I was so sad when her last series ended. I thought ‘what now?” Ivy started a brand new series that is basically a spin off from the Winters and then the Sinclair’s with The Sawyer’s. I didn’t think she could possibly do better but she has, and I think this is the best yet. I love this series. I literally couldn’t put it down. The story surrounds Royal and Daisy. You can’t help but love theses characters and root for them. Royal did have a a reputation as a playboy but you he only seemed to me to be a good guy, with a good moral compass. After Daisy’s jumps into his life, the saga continues as we hunt for who killed Royal’s father. All the drama is saved for Daisy’s side of the family with her horrible father who is a master manipulator and a heartless conman. Her mother is passive and so in love with this horrible man she forgot to protect or even care for her daughter. Unfortunately, her father sinks as low as he can trying to relieve Daisy and her gram (his mom) out of all their hard earn savings and destroy the bakery business Daisy and her gram have worked their whole lives for. Compelling, captivating and just a great story.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I believe with Prentice as their father this generation of Sawyer men know how to love and respect their women. As with Griffen, Royal was charming, honest and hopelessly devoted to Daisy. There were two parts of this book that I just loved reading. The first was when Royal explained to Ophelia and Bryce what was covered with their stay at The Inn. The second was the bonfire. Not only because it showed how much Prentice’s children despised him but it showed the family finally coming together and realizing that they needed to stay reunited to keep the worst from happening and Bryce inheriting everything. I don’t believe any of them is truly in this for the money only. Ms. Layne also did what only she can do and that is in less than on3 or two paragraphs gave us a glimpse into Parker...she is no longer some vague family member. There are still brothers we have yet to learn about but I look forward to each and everyone one of their stories. As always in this author’s story there is a cast of supporting characters who may or may not appear in future books...sigh...I was really hoping for a bit of Vanessa in every book but...you’ll have to read this for yourselves to learn what happens to vindictive Vanessa.

Yeah, we pick up where we left off in the first book in the series. Daisy delivering her baked treats from her bakery and heading off an intruder to the Inn. Royal was dressed for his morning jog, helping to catch the jerk that was trying to cause more issues for the Inn. We pick up from there. The way Royal flirts with Daisy, I would have fallen for him. But nothing is ever easy for the Sawyer clan. We still are looking for who is behind all the sabotage and near killings. With Griffen in charge and making changes for the better, it could be anyone. Ford’s life is hanging by a thin line in jail for a crime he did not commit. His ex-wife Vanessa, Cousin Bryce and his mother all looking for hand outs, it’s a wonder what other person will show up to make matters worse. Surprise, Daisy’s mom and dad that’s who. I wanted to scream when Daisy’s dad made unkind remarks to her and Royal. There is so much that unfolds that I don’t want to give away. The best is that Daisy and Royal are as tight as Grif and Hope. From the very beginning Royal was honest and always let Daisy know that. He has a heart of a romantic and protective as a warrior. Daisy is a lucky girl. I am wondering about Sterling and her mystery man. And who is Tenn with at the end? This book reads so smoothly like a single malt scotch going down. A bit of a burn but smooth.
Sweet Heart was a fantastic read! The storyline was wonderful with down to earth characters with real problems trying to make their place in the world and follow their dreams. Neither was looking for love or the complication that came with the other when they each had enough of their own family drama to deal with. Yet when these two get together, you can tell it was meant to be. They fit perfectly together and are absolutely adorable! The rest of the Sawyer clan makes an appearance and we get snippets of them all throughout the story as well as learning a bit more about the mystery of their father’s murder. On Royal’s side of the family, the aunt and cousin are still causing drama for them all (I loved the hotel scene when Royal tells them how it is!), and let’s not forget Vanessa, the conniving ex (a little something might just come her way as well). Then for Daisy, the poor girl, her parents are just horrible. The problems they cause as well as the things they say to her are so sad and heartbreaking. Royal and Daisy have to fight through a lot for their happy ending but with family and friends who rally around them along with their love and trust in each other it all works out in the end. This series is so good; I am looking forward to the next book.
I received an arc of this book from the author, via Booksprout, and I am voluntarily providing my honest review.
The Sawyers are a large family and following Griffin and Hope’s story we have another great book in the series, Sweet Heart - Royal and Daisy’s story . Royal, together with his brother Tenn, runs the Inn at Sawyers Bend and Daisy works nearby in her grandmother’s bakery.
I was gripped from the start, when Daisy was attacked outside the Inn within the first few pages. Royal who clearly is attracted to Daisy, arrives on the scene while the attack is still taking place.
While Royal is clear with his intentions, Daisy, who has a complicated family a close male friend who may or may not be a boyfriend, is more hesitant. Royal and Daisy are well matched and as the story unfolds I became really invested in their relationship.
We got to meet other members of the Sawyer family in the book and now I can’t wait for book three, Tenn and, potentially, his red headed alibi’s, story. Although this can be read as a standalone book, the family dynamics and background are further explained in book one, Stolen Heart.
I received this book as a pre publication proof read.
“Sweet Heart,” is a storm of emotions with family drama, suspense, thrilling action, life-threatening issues, humor, fiery, passionate romance, genuine friendship, a mystery that needs solving and a wonderful happy forever.
Royal Sawyer’s brother is being accused of the murder of his dad, but his family believes him innocent. His panty melting looks make women fawn for his attention. Of late, he hungers attention from Daisy Hutchins. She is a confident, strong woman who has no time for romance. Working in her Grandma’s bakery uses much of her time. Daisy gets countless compliments on all her delicious baked goods. She tries to ignore Royal’s advances because of his player rep, but her desires have her accepting a date. They face a few dangerous hurdles before obtaining their happy forever.
An inspiring read with a compelling plot, admirable interacting characters who come alive with dynamic, vivid scene descriptions. Royal and Daisy find their happiness, are a fun couple and their love beams in this story. Backstories give the reader a stronger knowledge of their personas. The author shows trust and believing in yourself is pivotal in all relationships. The tug your heart moments had me cheering that they get their happy forever. Relishing this read, I voluntarily reviewed a pre-release copy.
This story features another of the Sawyer siblings, Royal who along with his brother Tennessee, Tenn for short, run The Inn, at Sawyer Bend. It also features Daisy who run the bakery in town call Sweetheart Bakery that is owned by her grandmother, who has raised her since she was a infants, while her parents were too busy and bored to stay in one place to raise and love a child. Both these peoples world collied when someone tried to sabotage the Inn and Daisy prevents that from happening, but thats just the beginning of their problem. Through the book you will fine how both Daisy and Royal's up upbringing are somewhat the same, even though Daisy had to struggle and work hard for every penny and was alwayed praised for her working ability and Royal had more money then any person one person should have, was give everything, but was told he had not worth and was excepted to fail. These to unlikely people, fall in love, but will their family ruin that love that Daisy and Royal created. I am volunteering to leave a review of a ARC of this book.

This book is exciting and heartbreaking at times. Daisy is such a strong woman that I admired. I don’t know what she would have ever done without her gram. I couldn’t believe how selfish and uncaring her parents were. When Daisy said her father was manipulative that was an understatement! It was exciting how Daisy met Royal first hand for a deal with her gram’s bakery. I was so glad that Royal felt something for Daisy. He is known as a player. I was glad she had someone besides TJ to lean on. Daisy, gram, and TJ were so close and had each other’s backs. There are people out to get the Sawyer family. Crazy things go on at the Inn they own. There are some scary people around and Daisy’s father is up to his eyeballs in no good. I hated what he did to his mother and daughter. I loved the book, can’t wait for the next one, and strongly encourage you to read the book. I was given a copy of the book and voluntarily wrote a review.
This book adds to how wonderful the Hearts of Sawyer’s Bend series is. I love discovering more and more of the several secondary characters in each book as we get the full version of the couple we’re reading about. The perfectly mismatched Daisy and Royal duo completely stole my heart. Royal had me swooning from the moment he stepped on the first scene and Daisy was one of the most adorable female main characters I’ve read from Ivy Layne with all her quirks, giggles and curls. Besides the cuteness, there was serious chemistry between them that made some scenes steam up my glasses, but I think it was Royal’s unexpected tenderness towards Daisy and her resulting blossoming that really got me. The story’s complex and evolving backdrop adds another level of interest that made this book a total page-turner. Don’t wait another second to 1-click Sweet Heart!

“Sweet Heart” by Ivy Layne such an amazing book. I adore her books. This is part of the Hearts of Sayer Bend series. As usual Layla brings these characters to life and allows us to get up close and personal with each of them. This book is Royal and Daisy’s journey together. The start of this book is awesome. Go Daisy! She is a badass and Royal is smart enough to recognize it. I adored both of these characters and they are well developed and have a sizzling chemistry. Royal was sort of an unknown in the prior book, but now he is standing out as a strong loyal guy. Daisy is truly a sweet and amazing women. I don’t like spoilers so I advise you to just read this book and all previous books by Ivy Layne if you haven’t already. You won’t be disappointed. This story flows beautifully and keeps you captivated until the last page is turned. I love that there are more books in this series to come. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
At first I was hesitant to start this book, the previous one left me with so many questions and to be honest, a little confused. The book was fast paced and set a good foundation for the entire future series, something the previous book didn't do for me. I enjoyed the little glimpses into the other family members but the best part for me was Daisy. Royal had a strong personality but I never felt like Daisy was a pushover. She was strong and kept her personality without it becoming frustrating. She faced some challenges (no spoilers) and kept her strong independent character without refusing help. I very much enjoyed this book and could not put it down until I finished. I'm looking forward to the next installment and wondering where those handcuffs came from....

Sweet Heart. This book was sensational! It captivated me and kept me guessing. The drama is nerve wracking because when everything is going good, wam! something happens to one of the characters. Just like book one, the Sawyer's are still trying to find out who killed their father and who is after the rest of the family. First the attempts were on Griffen. Now they are on Royal since he is next in line since Ford is in jail. Royal meets Hope's friend, Daisy, who runs the bakery. They become cozy together but trouble is around the corner for them as well. This series is exciting and is a must read series! Royal Sawyer is working double time - between the Inn and the family corporation, he's got little time for anything else. Daisy Hutchins is trying to expand the family bakery business by wanting to sell her treats to the Inn so it will increase sales. Arriving early, she is bringing a basket of sample goodies to impress Royal and Tenn Sawyer into a sweet deal of a contract. Trouble slams into Daisy en route which puts them in the center of a dangerous ongoing situation that has mishaps befalling the Inn as well as the Sawyer estate. Can a romance begin while their families are at risk? A wonderful romance full of mystery and mayhem! I voluntarily read and reviewed an advance copy of this book.
Sweethearts is the story about Daisy and Royal. Daisy works at the local bakery that is owned by her grandmother and she runs into Royal when she is trying to get the local hotel and restaurant to sell her sweet treats. Royal happens to run said establishment. This book is a romance that has action, suspense, and a murder to solve so it has it all. This book involves all kinds of strange happenings. This story is part of a series of books Royal and his siblings but can be read as a stand alone. I love this author and each book she writes is unique and captivating.

A 5+ stars read Daisy had the good fortune of an adoring grandmother, who took over when her “parents” ran away (also fortunate). They have a wonderful relationship working together in the bakery and Daisy is looking forward to it being hers when her grandmother retires. When Royal becomes romantically interested in her she is definitely hesitant due to his family being wealthy and influential. Warning: You won’t want to put this combination love story/mystery aside until you’ve read the last word. Books 1 and 3 are on my TBR list since this one was soooo good. Another amazing book by Ivy Layne! I’ve read every book she’s written, and I love them all. The way she builds her characters, and their worlds, is just so so good. I don’t think she’s written a character I haven’t connected with yet. After reading Griffen and Hopes book, I was so ready to get into Royals story. I love him and Daisy. I love the build up of the relationship and how it naturally evolved and became more. Daisys dad is just terrible and her mom is just as bad. I loved that Royals family gathered around her and supported her and became her family without question. This book has so many twists and turns and I absolutely loved it. I love everything Ivy writes though.
1. It was really good. I couldn’t put it down. Towards the end when everything was coming together I was glued to my kindle. 2. I love Ivy Layne. She always draws me in to the story. and makes me fall for the characters. Royal and Daisy complemented each other perfectly. 3. The characters: Royal was so dreamy and patient with Daisy. Daisy is kind, loyal and sweet. She wants to see the best in people but her trust has been broken so many times by her sucky parents. 4. Arching storyline: Ahh! I want more answers!!! 5. The watch Tower scene was hawt
If I didn’t know how people can be, I wouldn’t believe this could happen
‘Sweet Heart’, book 2 of The Hearts of Sawyers Bend series, is a great blend of mystery, terror and love. Royal and Daisy have their lives planned out. They have their own businesses that are successful and growing. Their personal relationships are nonexistent to temporary. Family…. Well, that’s a different story.
The craziness with the Sawyer family cranks up another notch to include Daisy’s family in this next edition. Physical injuries and mental anguish gear up the tension.
Grab a box of Kleenex and find the time to get settled in for this thrilling ride!
