This story is the first in a series and is a really good start. If you like romantic fantasy - it won't disapoint. Ana must figure out how to live in a new world when her house falls into a "hole" and she wakes up to discover she is now a gargoyle - and the only female to be seen in a long time.

Shadows of the Moon by Nicole LaBrocca. Quinn and Ana. When Ana falls into Quinn’s realm of Leonad, everything changes. It may be insta-love for Quinn who claims her as his mate, but for Ana, she needs to conceptualize the changes within herself before she can deal with the sexy, long-tailed gargoyle. The world building draws out a whimsical picture of castles, sword play, and creatures unique to LaBrocca’s fantasy. I loved the humorous bits where Ana must learn to fly with her new wings and control her tail. And the spice that tail delivers during the romantic scenes may make you go back and reread a section. I love a good, adventurous tail. Of course there is turmoil, cue the sword play. But it went to a whole new level when the gnomes jumped on giant beetles and joined the gargoyle soldiers in the air to fight for the kingdom. A read worth your time.

I loved loved this book. There was excellent writing from the author. The plot was amazing. There was twist after twist that seemed to build upon the next twist. The characters, some were cute and others hot. Quinn brought some heat to Ana’s dreams. Their romance was one that was one that you enjoyed reading about. Until next time my fellow readers. Read on!

This was packed with adventure..fantasy..gargoyles (I mean, who doesn't love those!) And about a kingdom who has lost their women and when Ana is thrown from being human to learning her new body! And what's more dangerous than being the only female with many males that want a mate! She finds friendships..happiness and danger all in one!

I absolutely loved everything about this book! Was not what I was expecting at all what so ever! Quinn MMC obsessed with him in every way. Possessive, kind and protective. Ana- FMC is literally ripped into a new world and turned into something she never even realized was real! Talk about stressful! The world building is absolutely fantastic! I love her kind heart!

I have a renewed love for gargoyles!! Initially, I was a little leery because you instantly got thrown into the action of it all. Literally from page one! There wasn't much story-building. This led to some plot holes but once I accepted that I quickly started to enjoy the book. There’s spice, mystery, magic, and gnomes. Who doesn't love gnomes? Even though I enjoyed the story, I wished there had been more to the ending.

I originally received this book as an ARC in exchange for an honest review. I didn't get to review prior to the release date but I wanted to give it a review.

An all-around pleasant read and I definitely will be reading the next one.

This is our first books that have Gargoyles in them... let alone main characters, which has been an amazing ride so far. New creatures to connect with and new landscapes to explore!

This is also my first read with more spicy presented romance.  I always had assumptions  and opinions of such books without giving them a try. I'm glad I made the leap! I had been unwilling to walk this path because of my  limited opinions that the spiciness would take away from a story or become somehow the focus. At least with this series... that is not true at all! 
For the record, I am not a prude or conservative person.... I just held uneducated opinions without giving it a try. 
This series is an exciting, fully immersed world of everything that makes a good book even better... hitting on every emotion, making it impossible to put down!

I know this book probably shouldn't have made me laugh as much as I probably did. It has dark themes in it but just the ways some things were described... I think it's because the author didn't shy away from the gnomes just being gnomes. I never thought I would enjoy a creature like a gnome this much.

Ana’s transformation and descent into her new world was unique and very well done. Quinn was the perfect “he falls first” gentleman. If you’re feeling like you need some gargoyle romance, give this one a read!

A Great Gargoyle Romantasy!

I am so glad I had a chance to read this! This was my first gargoyle romantasy story, and it didn't disappoint! The beginning was a little slow for me, but as the book went on, the pace started to pick up, and I just flew through it. There are so many emotions throughout the book that keeps you wanting to know more!

I can't wait for the next book to come out to find out what happens next!

The story was so captivating! It has a dark and eerie vibe that makes it hard to put the book down, it kept me up until 6am!

The book is fairly graphic and gore but to me that’s the charm of it, the story is build up with so much tension and mystery. Overall I liked the characters, a very sexy and deranged ml makes it 🤌
He might be too much for some people but I loved him!

Of course the spice is pretty good tho more scenes was needed… 🤭

Also the ending didn’t really impressed me because I needed more!!! 😫😭 Even if this book is a bit of a long one WE DESERVED a couple more hundred pages 🤧

We are drawn into an unknown world with our FMC Ana. Her life is completely changed and she is found by a Gargoyle. There is fighting, there is love, there is lighthearted comedy thrown in for balance.
Its insta love for Quinn as he finds Ana. Ana is a little hesitant even if she feels a pull to him. She has a LOT to deal with being in a completely different world.
Quinn is a gentleman, never pushing her to do anything she doesn’t want. But he is seemingly her only safe haven in this new place. The pacing is good, there is so much that happens in this story. They must fight for their Kingdom and the safety of their friends.
I would say more but I want this to be SPOILER FREE.
I absolutely loved the world in this story. The animals, the gnomes, and the Gargoyles all were fantastic. The gnomes were my fave.
TILDA is the MVP of the story. I love her. I want more TILDA!!!!!!

Give this series a go. There is also a prequel.

Great read!
Starts off as a human girl in a human world but strange and magical things happen and she is sucked into a void and no longer herself. She's mated to a Prince in a kingdom that has seen better days but she's intent on leaving.
I couldn't put this story down, I read it in a day! There were a couple of lines in the book that literally had me melting in my chair. I was just like, "smooth Quinn, very smooth". There were also a couple places during reading that I was gasping and trying to read faster to find out what happened and the little twist at the end, I hadn't actually guessed who the real bad guy was.
Thoroughly enjoyed this book and can't wait to read the ARC for the next

Shadows of the Moon is a captivating and endearing book. Though I have not completed the story yet, the mystical adventures of Anna piqued my interest from the onset of the novel. Nicoles's use of language to captivate the mind of the readers is skillfully done.

At the beginning of the novel when she narrates Anna's adventures into another world was gripping and completely enticing. The compelling descriptions had me addicted to every word. I am not generally a fantasy romance reader, but the enigmatic style of writing had me tethered to each page.

"The world dissolved into a hazy blur. In the swirling darkness, dreams took hold transporting her back to the harrowing moment of her fall where she relived every heart-stopping second.

And there, amidst the shadows, stood the mysterious man who had caught her. Though his figure appeared as if veiled in a soft mist, she could distinctly feel his warmth, like a gentle caress against her skin. The soft candlelight played upon his handsome face and sculpted chest, casting a mesmerizing glow. His presence, a captivating force, held her spellbound, wrapping her in a cocoon of desire and curiosity."

This scene was a masterful display of Anna's talent. The silent desires that Anna's heart harbored in this new world and her connection to the creatures was extraordinarily crafted. The fascinating plot had me charmed from the beginning. I am half-way through and I am hooked. I cannot wait to see how the story unfolds. Will Anna's connection to Quinn place her in danger ? Or will this mysterious creature save her from the darkness that lurks in the shadows?

Well dang.

I’m not going to lie this book is very captivating. The story starts off quickly with the adventure and the mystery of the plot pulling you in. It’s a romantic fantasy, fated mate story book with a mixture of insta love and slow burn because the FMC denies it but don’t worry you don’t have to wait TOO long.

There is quite a bit of assholery going on in the kingdom and lots of danger. It also alludes to a LOT of SA and abuse towards our FMC though it never happens (for those of you sensitive to this trigger).

There are a lot of unique features in this book as well as fun and cool creatures. The main characters are gargoyles & it adds a bit of modern times in the storyline due to the main character coming from the regular world initially (not a spoiler just the beginning of the book).

I enjoyed the spice 💃 and the plot as well as the lyrical writing on the pages. An example “My fairytale ending… not a descent into a celestial ballet, but a plummet into an inferno.”

Super easy read but I did find quite a few plot holes / repetition?

Overall 3.5 stars & 3 stars for spice id say.

I’m interested in reading the next books in the series to see if some of those holes are filled & how the author continues the story since these characters basically were neatly tied in a bow at the end.
