Vicious Lost Boys #1-4

The Vicious Lost Boys: The Complete Series

Rate this book
**Novel Grounds Omnibus Special Edition of The Vicious Lost Boys

From Book 1:

The stories were all wrong — Hook was never the villain.

For two centuries, all of the Darling women have disappeared on their 18th birthday. Sometimes they’re gone for only a day, some a week or a month. But they always return broken.

Now, on the afternoon of my 18th birthday, my mother is running around the house making sure all the windows are barred and the doors locked.

But it’s pointless.

Because when night falls, he comes for me. And this time, the Never King and the Lost Boys aren’t willing to let me go.

NOTE: The Never King is a reimagining of Peter and Wendy. Characters have been aged up for this darker, grittier version. If you like your enemies to lovers romance with hot, ruthless, morally gray love interests, you’ll enjoy The Never King and the Lost Boys. You can expect hate kissing, fighting, bickering, and ‘touch her and I’ll unalive you’ vibes. Book one ends on a cliff.

I just finished The Vicious Lost Boys by Nikki St. Crowe, and if you love dark, twisted fairytale retellings, this book is a wild ride! It’s definitely not the Peter Pan we all know. Instead, this version is gritty, sexy, and completely unapologetic in its darkness, which I found super refreshing.
Neverland in this book is dangerous and brutal, with Peter Pan and the Lost Boys being anything but innocent. I loved how Winnie Darling, the main character, isn’t just there to be saved—she’s strong, bold, and makes her own choices in this dark, seductive world. The tension between her and the Lost Boys is intense, and there’s a lot of power play in their relationships that really pushes the boundaries of dark romance.
One of the best parts for me was how the world-building still had that magical feel of Neverland but with a sinister twist. The magic here is darker, the threats feel real, and the stakes are much higher. It kept me hooked from start to finish.
The steamy scenes are definitely intense, and the story dives into some darker themes of dominance and submission, so it’s not for everyone. But if you’re into edgy, spicy retellings, this is such a bold take on Peter Pan, and I couldn’t put it down. The whole toxic love triangle had me completely invested.
It’s a fast, addictive read that really flips the classic story on its head, and I loved every minute of it!

This has been on my TBR for ages and...I'm kind of mad aboout it. This was honestly my favorite kind of story. Faetastic characters, Faenomenal plot, and tantalizing spice. Quick, to the point, and more than enough to chew on.

I had no idea what to expect but I'm really glad I decided to finally start this series. I'll be up late but it'll be worth it!

I don't know what it is exactly, but I'm seriously digging this writing style. It's great with the outsider POVs and the imagery is deep without taking over several pages. I'm staying in the story and enjoying every second!

3
Holy revelations, this book made me dig more into the Crowe catalogue and I am SO stoked to see another book in this series. Especially since the characters in that one seriously intrigued me in this book. Secrets revealed, relationships implied, zombies...? On to book 4 BAYBEEEE!

UUUUGH!! I NEED this in omnibus form, like NOW! It would look so pretty on my shelf. I loved this series and I'm going to dive into the Devourer of Men ASAP! Another catalogue added to my list, Crowe has roped me in!

Overall I really enjoyed this series & would listen to them again. It was such an interesting reimagining of the Peter Pan/Neverland story and so much was so different and fascinating!
I truly never thought I’d say this, because there’s nothing more that I love than spicy, spicy books, but there’s a part of me that wishes it weren’t in this series because I’d love for my kids to read them. I wish that, at the very least, the smutty parts were better. They did improve some (I hated them in book 1). They were just always so extreme & it just never felt very genuine to me because of that.
I also couldn’t help but feel like there were too many loose ends (like what happened with Wendy, Hook, Rock & Tilly. It doesn’t look like another series was written. At least not yet?). Were they implying that there was a connection between Winnie & Hook???

Idk. I think I’ll probably end up listening to this series again. I’m sure I missed some things here & there & it really was just such a unique story.

Review of The Vicious Lost Boys by Nikki St. Crowe

I absolutely loved The Vicious Lost Boys series — I devoured it in no time and found myself completely obsessed! Nikki St. Crowe’s world-building is incredibly immersive; some scenes felt so vivid and well-crafted that I was fully transported into the story. At times, the narrative took some unexpected and edgy turns that made me think, “Okay, that’s kind of weird,” or even gave me a bit of the ick, but honestly, that just added to the intensity and uniqueness of the series.

What really kept me hooked were the countless plot twists that kept me guessing and eager for more. The mix of dark, gritty elements with strong character development made this series stand out for me. I would definitely read it again without hesitation!

If you’re into gripping, unpredictable stories with complex worlds and characters, this series is a must-read.

I give this series as a whole 5 stars. i love a good RH, and I really enjoyed the smutty scenes. The flying scene was 🥵 🔥

Bash is my favorite lost boy cocky and a rule breaker. Seeks forgiveness not permission type but still has the capacity to love and feel his feelings. Also ruthless when he needs to be. A true fae king.

Vane is next. I love that he is only soft for her. He’s hard to show his feelings but he still feels them. Loyal above all else which is super sexy.

I would love to read at least another book on them just to see how they ended up. Did Winnie really become their queen? Did she have Fae babies? Does she ever see her mother again? Take her boys to her world like she wanted to show them off? I need answers!

I loved revisiting the world of the Lost Boys and this bind up was the perfect format to do it in. This is my third time reading the Vicious Lost Boys series and it gets better each time.

I love the journey of self discovery Wendy goes on throughout these books. Her confidence in herself and her worth is awesome to see. I also enjoy the feeling of found family between Wendy and the lost boys, albeit, a dark, dirty, gritty family. And dirty in the best way possible as the spice is top tier.

If you like your male main characters bad and your female main characters even badder then this series is for you!

I am going to make this review and I’m going to post it on each of the books instead of making one individually for each one.

This series was absolutely scorching hot! I could not stop reading them and bought the Kindle version as well as the audible version lol

I absolutely loved each and every character because they were so similar yet different than the actual Peter Pan books.

I love the adult version of it all and the characters pull it all together perfectly! So if you like your books hot, dirty, with a little bit of action, this is it!

Niki did such an amazing job writing these books and I cannot wait to read more of her work soon!

I can only rate this series as a whole: it was fun!
It's easy to read, the smut is delicious and the author's writing is super accessible! I flew through every page in no time and I don't regret it one bit. It could be better, yes! It could have been a masterpiece and could have been developed even further, but the way it was written and developed makes the story light and makes us travel through each chapter always anxious about what will happen next.

I recommend it for its lightness.
I loved it and can't wait to find out more about hook, Wendy and roc!

Favorite quote:

“You thought it would be easy. You thought you would arrive at some point in your future where your troubles melted away. It’s a trap, Peter Pan. I have lived a long time and I’ve seen a great many things, and I can assure you, there is no point in the future where problems do not exist. Where your doubts are no more. Your hardships gone. Where things are easy. There is no point in the future where it doesn’t hurt right here” —I tap at my chest— “when something you love breaks or abandons you. There is only now and what you do with that now.”

This book is perfect for those that love a dark fairytale reimagining. Just don’t go in thinking this is a slightly darker version of Disney’s Peter Pan. It’s definitely not even close! That said, the characters and story draw you in and you cant put it down. This being a beautiful omnibus version containing all four books makes that extremely convenient. Plus when you are done and ready to devour the author’s related books, it will look beautiful on your shelf.

I am giving the entire series 4 stars overall! I loved it by the end. I did struggle with book one, but as the series progressed, it got so much better! I've left reviews for each book individually, so I'll keep this short, but Nikki St. Crowe deserved another good review for a great series! ❤️

I loved this series so much!

THE NEVER KING
One of my favorite series! I gave this one 4 stars because I was excited about the premise of the book which is what made me want to read it. It was good but I wasn't obsessed with it or anything. But the cliffhanger at the end really blew my mind so I continued reading the series and I am so glad I did.

THE DARK ONE
Oh, this series....this is now one of my favorite series! This is the second book in the series. I read the first last year. This series is an adult, dark Peter Pan retelling with sexy fae and so many lost boys! Honestly, if you like dark retellings, this is another one you have to read. No, you have to listen to the audiobook!

THEIR VICIOUS DARLING
This series continues to amaze me and I definitely can't wait to read the last book (even though that means it will be over!!) This book had more sexy lost boys with some amazing voice actors!

THE FAE PRINCES
This book was the perfect ending to a great series! It had twists that I didn't expect and I feel that if it had ended any other way I would have been disappointed. I was sad that the series was ending, but it sounds like there will be more series that take place in the Seven Isles which will continue some side storylines which were introduced briefly. I have already pre-ordered the first book in the next series.
