What to say? Harry’s daddy issues will eventually turn him down a dark path and Peter’s responsibilities will probably drive him crazy. The ending, though. I’ve got goosebumps for the next issue.
This sure is a good book, isn’t it. After the disappointment that was the last issue, this is a strong start to the new arc. A lot of intriguing setup is done here, can't wait to see more. Checchetto delivers beautiful art in the issue. The character designs and action are brilliantly detailed and there is a wonderful visual tone to the story that draws in the reader. It's a great read for any Spider-Man fans that you should absolutely pick this up.
This book continues to plug away, spinning a slow-build Spider-Man story with amazing characterization, dialogue, and art. This issue promises some further interaction with the broader Ultimate Universe storyline, which I’m intrigued by, but I hope the focus remains on Peter, Harry, MJ, et al.
But why on this green earth would you opt to set your artificial Intelligence (Peter and Harry’s suits operate like Stark’s Iron Man armors with onboard A.I.) to your father, someone who derided and made you feel less than when he was alive (see Harry Osborn’s choice).
Sure, if you think on it, Harry likely did that knowing what would come packaged with it (a personality infused with such assholery that it pushes you forward?), but it felt…feels…strange. But then it sort of feels right. Can’t explain it right now. Personally, I would’ve taken anyone but. But maybe he did it solely to work through his issues.
Also, I call it here- that Norman AI is going to knock Harry off his path of good. Unfortunately. It’d be nice actually if either Norman or Otto remain on the level instead of becoming villains. We’ll see.
Peter choosing his own persona as the AI was absolutely a Peter thing to do.
The pacing in this was very good. It was tightly plotted and allowed for a little bit of everyone to appear and move their threads along.
So with the first six-issue arc wrapped up you can tell Hickman's signature writing starting to take shape in regards to his long term endgame for the book (where exactly that is I have no clue) and it’s so promising.
This issue focuses on the introduction of more traditional Spider-Man aspects but with really awesome twists that I dare not spoil because they need to be seen to be believed and their genius, what I can say though is that Hickman's continued commitment to writing a Spidey book that is continuously engaging and exciting does not wane one bit and I am so excited to see where this is all headed.
Ultimate Spider-Man #7 by Jonathan Hickman continues to fire on all cylinders. This issue blends heartfelt character moments with sharp dialogue and strong pacing. The conversation between Peter and Harry is a highlight—fun, tense, and layered with deeper implications for what’s coming. The art continues to impress, and the mix of personal stakes and superhero world-building is hitting just right. Still loving this run! Solid 4 stars.
Another solid issue! The art continues to be great, and I like where the story is going overall. I think this was a unique way to introduce the voice of the Goblin Mask, but I am a little cautious of where it is heading. I'm not certain if I'd like to see him end-up like 616 Goblin or be able to resist the call more. Looking forward to more!
Great issue! a very strong start to the second arc of this run, everything from Harrys trauma to the introduction of Otto and the teaser of the Sinister Six is executed perfectly and im very excited to read #8!! Perfectly executed comic run but i want to be slightly harsher with my ratings so its a 4 star for me!
This series continues to impress. Hickman's story is exceptional, as is the regular art team on this comic. The future of these characters is set up by developments this issue, and the Otto Octavius of this universe is fleshed out. Recommended for any Spider-Man fan who wants to read a good Spider-Man story.
The AI replacing Harry's madness and the symbiote could turn out shaky but for now it's pretty damn cool. I appreciate that it took this long for a full crossver to happen in these books since Ultimates started.

i look forward to seeing uncle ben and j. jonah jameson’s old man yaoi—sorry, partnership—in every issue. also, harry’s daddy issues will definitely lead him down a dark path...and i’ll be there to witness it.
At this point I think it’s anticipated this will be a fantastic book and it sure is, this book has everything you’d want. It delivers and sets up for the future in a big way, the ending was fresh out of nowhere and caught me off guard so extra points.
Maneiro.
This didn’t have as much crazy shit but it still added a lot when it came to the suits of Goblin and Spidey and their friendship continuing to grow. Really like Octavius as well and how chill he is for now….. also IRON LAD OMG !
