DOWNFALL : A queer thriller
Professor Nicholas Bradley’s significant other, Jake, was murdered by a serial killer. A year has passed since but Nicholas still can't get over it.
One day, he received an invitation to his niece’s wedding which takes place in a secluded hotel owned by her fiancé’s family.

นิโคลัส ศาสตราจารย์หนุ่มใหญ่ได้รับเชิญให้ไปงานเลี้ยงแต่งงานของหลานสาวที่โรงแรมริมทะเลซึ่งถูกดัดแปลงมาจากคฤหาสน์เก่าแก่ แต่แล้วกลับเกิดเหตุฆาตกรรมแขกในงานอย่างสยดสยองขึ้นทีละคน การติดต่อกับโลกภายนอกถูกตัดขาด ทำให้เขาและ เทรเวอร์ นิติเวชหนุ่มเพื่อนของหลานสาว ต้องค้นหาตัวฆาตกรให้พบก่อนที่จะมีเหยื่อรายต่อไป
เป็นงานวายที่เขียนโดยคนไทย แต่ใช้ฉากและตัวละครเป็นต่างประเทศทั้งหมด ผู้เขียนสร้างบรรยากาศของเรื่องออกมาได้ระทึกและตื่นเต้นดีครับ เป็นคดีฆาตกรรมในคฤหาสน์ปิดตายที่ตัวละครต้องมาอยู่ด้วยกันและสืบหาคนร้าย ดำเนินเรื่องสนุกและรวดเร็ว บรรยากาศอึมครึม บทสนทนาที่เนียนคล้ายอ่านเรื่องแปล แต่ทั้งนี้ทั้งนั้น เราแอบมีเอ๊ะ ๆ บ้างกับฉากต่างประเทศแต่สภาพอากาศที่ร้อนจนต้องเปิดแอร์ทุกที่ และการตกหลุมรักกันอย่างรวดเร็วและดูดดื่มของตัวละครหลักในเวลาเพียงวันสองวัน ทั้งที่ฝ่ายหนึ่งตกอยู่ในความเศร้าจากการสูญเสียคนรักตลอดเวลาที่ผ่านมา นอกจากนี้ ที่มาที่ไปของการตายของคนรักเก่าก็ยังไม่ชัดเจนเท่าไหร่ แต่ทั้งนี้ทั้งนั้นก็ถือเป็นเล่มที่อ่านสนุกและได้เปลี่ยนบรรยากาศดีครับ

Personalmente cualquier libro de la autora me encanta. Muchos nos enfocamos en un solo género pero ella puede llevarte a leer cualquiera y aún así sentirte emocionada.
La caída es un libro que no habla solamente del romance de dos chicos, habla del dolor de la perdida, la familia y además con un montón de misterios. Cada capítulo no puedes dejar de pensar que el verdadero culpable es otro y definitivamente el final no lo ví venir.
Este es un libro que si o si deberás leer.

อ่านไม่จบ อ่านไปแค่ครึ่งเล่มเท่านั้น ที่เลือกอ่านเรื้องนี้เพราะเราชอบนิยายวายแนวสืบสวน + ไดนามิกเมะเด็กเคะแก่
แต่เรื่องนี้อาจจะไม่ใส่สไตล์ รู้สึกปมตัวละครมันคลายง่ายมาก คงเป็นเพราะเล่มเดียวจบ ตัวละครเลยแบนๆ จะเทาก็เทาไม่สุด จะขาวก็ขาวไม่สุด
แต่เรื่องนี้อาจจะไม่ใส่สไตล์ รู้สึกปมตัวละครมันคลายง่ายมาก คงเป็นเพราะเล่มเดียวจบ ตัวละครเลยแบนๆ จะเทาก็เทาไม่สุด จะขาวก็ขาวไม่สุด
