Going Down

Rate this book
What does one hunky Navy Seal plus a blizzard equal on Valentine's Day for Michelle Bishop? One hot night in an elevator with nowhere to go and no electricity to get there. Add a holiday gift basket from Valentino's that's full of candles, body paint, and chocolate wine, and going down on an elevator becomes a Valentine experience she'll never forget.

~Excerpt~

Once the door closed, Steven reached over me to push the Ground Floor button on the control panel, pressing his huge, six-foot something body against mine. For a crazy moment I wanted to poke at his stomach. Nobody really had rock hard abs. Surely the wall of steel pushing into me was a result of wearing a bulletproof vest, not spending hours in a gym.

“I don’t think we’ve ever been introduced. I’m Steven Cayden.”

Little did he know, I not only knew his name, but thanks to the internet and the insignia on his military uniform, I had also figured out Steven Cayden was actually Lieutenant Commander Steven Cayden, a member of the United States Navy Seal team. A highly decorated Lieutenant Commander at that.

Heart pounding enough blood into my brain to cause a seizure, I verbally stumbled over my own name. “I...I’m Michelle Bishop.”

He lowered his lips to my ear. “It’s nice to finally meet you, Michelle.”

Hearing him say my name with his captivating voice had my stomach doing more flip-flops than an Olympic gymnast on the uneven bars. The crazy way my body reacted, he may as well have said, “I know you’re wearing nothing but a bra and panties under that coat of yours. I’m going to rip that sucker open and tear your thong off with my bare teeth.”

But before I had a chance to utter a word, the lights went out and the elevator came to a screeching, bone-shattering halt. Suddenly, the world was quiet and pitch black.

I remember reading about Texas in an Illinois grade school and thinking I probably would never see the great state where real cowboys ride their horses to work every day and everyone wears western hats and boots. Then again, I never dreamed I would elope in Gibraltar with a Navy man who hailed from the Lone Star state. But here I am, smack dab in the middle of Texas, still married to the same wonderful man and boasting not only the greatest daughter on the planet, but three dogs that are as big as long horns.

In between grade school and now, my journey through life has taken me all over the United States, as well as many places throughout the world. Using my travel experience as a guide and peppering in interesting characters I’ve met along the way, I love nothing better than weaving tales of romance and leaving readers yearning for adventures of their own.

I think it should be everyone's patriotic duty to "service" a serviceman/woman. Get to it people.

This is fantastic erotica!!

It is a rare thing when you not only get great writing, but great characters, and a smexy story. All in a nice package under 5000 words! I don't want to give anything away, I could easily do that with a story this short and hot. The low down? It was flat out fantastic. Not only was it brilliantly executed, but I was slobbering all over my eReader! It was over, and I wanted more, I wanted so much more I went on the hunt for more books by this author. I can't wait to sink my teeth into a full length story by this author.

Passionate, thrilling, naughty, and so sexy it was steaming up my eye glasses. This is on my recommended read list! Buy it! Buy it now!

GOING DOWN is a tale of serendipity. I'm a sucker for any story where the girl gets the guy she's liked, loved or lusted after from a distance. There's just enough background revealed about Steve and Michelle to anchor this tale for those readers who like a little plausibility in their erotic romances. But really, this story is flirtation, sex and fun as two people take advantage of an unusual circumstance and revealed lust. And at the end, there's even the possibility that this maybe more than just a one night stand. For a fun quick read on Valentine's Day (or any day), try GOING DOWN.

Brenna Zinn ponders the question, “What would you do if stuck in an elevator for an undetermined period of time with the man of your dreams?”
Ms Zinn lets her imagination run wild in this scenario, to the delight of Michelle and Steve, who take full advantage of the situation. The little story just takes a few minutes to read but would be best shared with a partner, in bed, perhaps on Valentine’s night. And if you just happened to have one of those gift baskets, well…

This was another short for the Edge Series from Decadent. Brenna Zinn did a wonderful job in making sure all the loose ends were tied with this one.

Who wouldn’t love a military man much less than a Navy SEAL as the main character? That’s every woman’s fantasy I’m sure. The heroine is lucky enough to get stuck with him in an elevator during Valentines Day. Damn…would love to be her!

This book was funny, exciting and sexy all at once. Seeing as the characters know one another if but in passing and by researching the other character it’s enough background as to not make them having sex have an ick factor.

I would so love to see these two characters in a longer story. But for what was written Brenna Zinn delivered.
