A vampire seeking retribution. A nosey little witch. Will their newfound love survive the ultimate feud?
As master of my region, I’m tasked with settling the centuries-old land feud between the vampires and witches, once and for all. It will be far harder than anyone thought.
Especially, when a sassy witch captures my full attention, drawing me to her as though she were put on earth just for me.
The evil little enchantress has secrets and curses of her own that could mean certain death for her and the others in her coven.
When Raven is suspected of being a spy, I’m ordered to end her life to prove my loyalty to the vampire community.
A king of darkness forced to choose between my loyalty to the purebloods or the forbidden soul mate who I have every intention of claiming for my own.
Master Romano: Dark Vampire Romance is a vampire romance - the 4th book in the author’s series. Master Romano is a vampire who is the “leader” of vampires in the Romania area. He is said to be a “dark-souled beast”. He is under investigation by the head Master of Vampires because they have come to find out that a loyal confidant has gone rogue and they need to understand if Romano is behind it. Romano has stated that he is innocent in all of this, but will help find out what is going on because he is being set up. When arriving home, he encounters a witch named Raven, and witches and vampires have been long- time enemies. However, Raven (even though slightly scared due to the legends of the vampires) and Romano (even though states to not trust witches) feels something different, an energy, a connection that neither understands. However, not growing up in the witch world, Raven tends to be creative, defiant, and curiosity always gets the better of her. Their first meeting is very short since Raven transports herself out of danger, however they meet again at a local bar that both tend to be patroning. The “come get me eyes” are being projected by both of them, but are cut off when her aunt and sister enter the bar to take her back to their haven. In the midst of this event, other vampire and vampire confidants come in and grab the 3 witches. Romano has a bad feeling about this and ends up saving Raven even though it went against his better judgment. This encounter starts an alliance between the two and a budding romance. Can the two of them work together well enough, trust each other enough, to save her family and his reputation in the vampire world? I have read the entire series thus far and I love this vampire romance. Romano was a great character. Even though he is stated to be an evil beast, I found him to be burly, but with a sweet, loving, and understanding side to him, as well. He is portrayed as a leader, smart, cunning, protective, but also cautious, at the same time. Raven was also a great compliment to his burliness. She is spunky, smart, witty, playful, and comically could stand up to Romano. I loved their dynamic when it came to the romantic part of their relationship. I am not a “let it build up” type of book lover, so when they just let all their feelings out almost upfront at the beginning, I was there for that. This was a quick read, action filled, a twisty plot, with great characters. I am excited for the last book in the series to come out!
Romano is part of a long line of master's who have dealt with dealings for year's but when he is entrusted to sort out the centuries old land feud with the witches what could go wrong. Well, that's until he meets the one witch who can bring down his walls and possible the consulate.
Raven is from a longline of witches, driven to get back what was taken from them centuries ago, determined to help the coven with trying to get close to the Vampires can she get what is rightfully hers and the covens. Although determined she was not expecting to have feelings towards one of the men that she had vowed to destroy.
This is the fourth book in this series, you can read this book comfortable as a standalone as each book in the series follows on of the master vampires, although some of the other book overlap there is enough detail within the book to be able to follow the story comfortably.
This is not my usual genre I read but after being recommended the first book I could not out it down, this book is just the same. I have to say the writing draws you in and makes this world believable and as you engage with the characters, I feel that you are a part of the story and world.
I love the push and pull between the two main characters was just great to read, they complement each other brilliant. This is my favourite book so far; I loved the character of Raven being so strong willed and determined to prove that she could follow her conviction and also try to understand the feelings she had towards Romano, a man she was brought up to hate.
I can't wait to read the next instalment in this series.
This is the 4th book in the fantastic Masters Of The Consulate vampire romance series. I want to say it’s my favourite in the series so far but maybe that’s just because this one is so fresh. I know I loved the first three too but I read them one after the other several months ago, and maybe my old memory isn’t allowing me to remember well enough. But hey, I’ll go ahead and say this one is my favourite…so far! Raven is a reluctant witch who just wants back to her ‘normal’ life and not be forced to attend a witch academy where she has the fact that vampires are the enemy drummed into, even more so by her aunt Devora, a very powerful witch. So why is she so drawn by Master Romano, a very powerful vampire, one of the masters of the consulate who her aunt hates with a passion. Vampires and Witches are not meant to fall in love. Heaven forbid! Or is that Hell forbid! I adored Raven and Romano’s story and I absolutely loved both of them as characters. Raven is far from your typical witch and she’s extremely sassy. Romano is just a HOT alpha male who makes you tingle in all the right places. The sexual chemistry between them is explosive and you just know there will be fireworks when they finally give in to one another. This is an amazing series that I’m loving so far and I can’t wait to read more.
Romano and Raven are on opposite sides of a centuries old feud. A fragile peace is budding when traitors are discovered from both sides. Raven finds herself caught in the middle. Lots of suspense and twists and turns. I thoroughly enjoyed this book.
3.75stars-MASTER ROMANO is the fourth instalment in Sylvia Black’s contemporary, adult MASTER OF THE CONSULATE paranormal, romance series. This is vampire Master Romano, and witch Raven’s story line. MASTER ROMANO can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty but I recommend reading the series in order for backstory and cohesion.
Told from dual first person perspectives (Romano and Raven) MASTER ROMANO follows the building romance and relationship between our story line couple. Master Romano has been recalled to Europe in the wake of issues of trust. Having lived and worked in Chicago, Master Romano is about to come face to face with the vampire’s sworn enemy, a young witch who is hoping to discover the who and what of an ancient vampire but the vampires are at war with the witches, and someone is controlling behind the scenes, someone with enough power to bring together witches, vampires and wolves in a war for power and control. What ensues is the building but forbidden relationship between Raven and Master Romano, and the potential fall-out when Romano is led to believe that Raven is part of a much larger plot to end them all.
The world building continues to focus on the centuries old hatred between vampires and witches. Both have been taught and indoctrinated into believing the other is evil and cruel, and when one of their own seeks to control, Raven is once again caught in the middle between vampires and witches.
The relationship between Raven and Master Romano begins acrimoniously. Romano discovers a possible spy on his estate in the Carpathian Mountains, and Raven is about to uncover the truth about who is controlling the witches and wolves behind the scenes. The $ex scenes are passionate and intimate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.
There is a large ensemble cast of colorful and magical secondary and supporting characters including Overmaster Descallia and his mate Lucianna, Lucianna’s sister Isala; Raven’s aunt Devora, Master Catteneo, vampires Lucas, Clay, Silver, Terrence and Embry, as well as Raven’s sister Ezra. The requisite evil has many faces.
MASTER ROMANO is a story of power and control, betrayal and vengeance, secrets and lies, family and relationships, acceptance and love. The premise is engaging and intriguing but the stereotypical ‘witch’ paraphernalia is a bit over the top including brooms, wands and cauldrons; the romance is passionate, the characters are determined and dynamic
Sylvia Black’s Masters of the Consulate is an enthralling paranormal romance series that plunges readers into a dark, seductive world ruled by powerful vampire masters. Across the first four books, Black masterfully blends sizzling romance, high-stakes action, and supernatural intrigue, crafting a series that fans of vampire fiction will devour.
Book 1: The Purebred Vampire and the Detective
The series begins with an electric clash of personalities as a commanding vampire leader meets his match in a strong-willed detective who refuses to back down. Their chemistry ignites a gripping tale of love, danger, and unrelenting passion. Black’s sharp dialogue and dynamic characters make this an addictive start to the series, setting the tone for what’s to come.
Book 2: The Master Vampire and the Avenger
In the second instalment, Black introduces a heroine driven by revenge and a vampire master who is determined to protect her. Their fiery relationship fuels the plot, which centres around loyalty, justice, and the raw power of desire. The story’s darker themes and intense action sequences add depth, keeping readers on the edge of their seats.
Book 3: The Ruler and the Psychic
The third book takes an intriguing twist with a psychic heroine who sees more than she should and a vampire ruler grappling with the weight of his position. Their connection is both tender and fraught with tension, as their abilities and secrets draw them into an intense fight for survival. This instalment stands out for its emotional resonance and supernatural twists.
Book 4: The Avenger and the Witch
The fourth book delivers a spellbinding combination of magic and vengeance as a vampire seeking retribution collides with a meddling but endearing witch. They’re unlikely partnership evolves into a romance that’s equal parts steamy and heartfelt, while the feud they face tests their bond in unexpected ways.
Verdict
Sylvia Black’s Masters of the Consulate is a thrilling blend of paranormal romance and dark fantasy. Each book offers a fresh and engaging pairing, with complex characters and compelling conflicts that keep readers invested. Whether you’re a fan of forbidden love, supernatural battles, or fiery chemistry, this series delivers on all fronts. Perfect for fans of J.R. Ward and Kresley Cole, Masters of the Consulate is a must-read for lovers of vampire romance with a bite.
I don’t think there’s enough words to describe how much I love this series. Master Romano rates right up there with the rest. If you love vampires this series is definitely for you. I've always been obsessed with vampires and shifters. So anytime I come across a book of that nature it takes a lot for me not to read it. This author is no different. The Vampires and witches are at war and Isala has gone rogue. Master Romano can’t be trusted, or can he? Overmaster Descallia has his doubts. So he sends Lucas to Romania with Romano to keep tabs and report back to him. Overmaster Descallia leads with an iron fist and is well respected in the vampire world. Also the way his character is written in this particular book reminded me why I love him so much!! Anyway back to Master Romano and his new witchy friend Raven. Raven sees through the propaganda about vampires. Was she raised to be scared of them? Absolutely! Is she afraid of them? Absolutely not! She’s actually just as intrigued in Master Romano as he is her. Which is a big faux-pas. Witches and vampires can not counter mingle, they are at war. Despite Descallia’s peace efforts. Unfortunately, like the rest of the books in this series you get a bit of Devora and Descallia going head to head. Do they track down Isala? What happens if they do fine her? If you’re stumbling across this series for the first time, please go back and start with Master Descallia(book 1.) And if you’ve read the first three I don’t know what you are waiting for. Me? I’m waiting for book 5, and while I do so I’m going to start again. I feel like this series will be the series that keeps on giving each time you read it!
Master Romano is a member of the Vampire Consulate and has been for centuries, he is cool headed and calm and a well respected member, however with recent events he has been sent in a mission to try and stop the ongoing feud between the vampires and the witches. Raven is a young witch in training, but she has always felt trapped between two worlds and not having many powers, she feels like she is wasting her time learning all this witchcraft and is just waiting for her time there to be finished so she can go back to her life.
As Master Romano is heading back to his home in Romania, he checks the security footage and sees someone creeping round his garden, the don’t move, just watch, so before the sun comes up, he goes to investigate. Raven has an itch to see what a vampire is like, are they as bad as the other witches say they are? She is insatiably curious and so decides to go and stake out the proverbial vampire next door, however, when he catches her in the act, she runs away.
As time passes, neither Raven or Master Romano can keep their minds off of the other and seem to find reasons to run into each other, but as the tensions between the witches and vampires escalate, Raven lands right in the middle of it and ends up having to trust Master Romano to help her, but when she is suspected as a spy, will Master Romano be able to take her life, or will the undeniably strong feelings between this witch and this vampire hold true?
This is a paranormal romance with a streak of forbidden love and steamy scenes of an adult nature with a good dollop of action in between, it is a fantastic continuation and one which you will not want to put down.
Master Romano (Book Four in the Masters of the Consulate Series) By Sylvia Black
First to Sylvia after reading five of your books you have well and truly extended my reading genre into Vampire stories. Book four is just as beautifully written as the other books in this series. I like the writing style it makes the books so easy to read and enjoyable. In this book we follow Romano and Raven. Before you read their story, I hope you have read the series from the beginning as like I have said previously its good to get some background information. So, we have Romano who as the story suggests has a dark soul, but does he? Raven said to be smart and somewhat playful and would have no problems standing up to Romano. Out of all the Vampires and their mates, I think Romano and Raven could possibly be the best together, but this is just a personal opinion. Romano finds himself in a spot of trouble as a loyal confidant has gone wayward and as a result he is being investigated to see if he has anything to do with it, now he needs to prove his innocence. Romano says he can not trust any witches, Raven has always been afraid Vampires solely because of the stories behind them. Raven is saved by Romano which brings some sort of understanding between them and due to this they get close, and the start of their romance begins. Now these two need to be able to work together not only to hopefully save her family but also to prove the other vampires that he can be trusted. Can this be achieved? You will need to read the book to find out.
Master Romano (Book Four in the Masters of the Consulate Series) By Sylvia Black
First to Sylvia after reading five of your books you have well and truly extended my reading genre into Vampire stories. Book four is just as beautifully written as the other books in this series. You will need to read the book to find out.
Romano finds himself on the "questionable loyalty" list with the Consulate of vampires. Tasked with finding where the traitor has escaped to and dealing with the local witches in his territory, he finds himself intrigued with Raven- the niece of their biggest witch rival. When Raven's sister and aunt are taken from the local bar and Romano sees Raven being drugged and dragged off too, he steps in and saves her. Once she recovers, they work together to find the last of her family. However, the distrust runs deep with her aunt and instead of being grateful, she becomes even more hostile. As things heat up, the traitor's location becomes known, and in capturing the traitor, Raven is painted as the instigator. Romano has to scramble to clear her name before his boss calls for her death. Will they be able to clear her name? Can they find a way to bridge the gap between the witch and vampire community before all is lost? Or are they always destined to be enemies?
I like that the author veered away from the female being cut down and having to be changed to save her life. Raven is a young witch that just wants to have fun and is thrust into her power rather quickly. I liked that she is equal to Romano in power and surprises him with some of her tricks, too. This book ended in a big cliffhanger, and I am anxiously awaiting the last installment to tie all the things together!
This is the 4th book in the Masters of the Consulate series. I have loved every single one of these books and I really recommend reading them from the start so you follow the full story. The author does an amazing job with these vampire romance books. There is so much more happening than just the romance, there is danger and traitors in each side of paranormal beings from the witches and the vampires. It is a fast paced story full of twists and turns that keeps the reader gripped from beginning to end
They now have to find a way to work together after years and years of being enemy's. The romance side is really well written I love how opposites attract and how even though they are ment to be enemies Romano and Raven can't deny or fight the attraction between them. Even though everything is telling them they can't be together what do you do when you can't fight destiny. Will this bring the witches and vampires together to make them stronger against their enemies or will this union only serve to make the animosity between witches and vampires even worse. Fighting against their attraction whilst also fighting enemies set on destroying both the vampires and witches are they going to be able to survive?
Having read the first three books in the Masters of the Consulate series, I could not wait to read Romano's story. I would like to point out the series should be read in order for the best experience. Having recently discovered the treachery within their ranks the Masters of the Consulate are being overly suspicious of each other as well as cautious. Romano is aware the others fear he may be a traitor to their kind, but he is not just going to be an open book. He has given everything to them and is now feeling the sting of betrayal himself; still he is going to do what he can for his people. Raven is found sneaking onto Master Romano’s property, when confronted by Romano she disappears in to thin air, which signals she is a witch. Witches and vampires are suppose to be on opposites of a war however they are intrigued instead. As their relationship grows will the two be able to figure out a way to be together? What will they do if they must choice? Will they be able to go against everyone to have their happily ever after? Will they be able to protect those they care for yet keep each other? Romano’s story did not disappoint. I would recommend not only this story but the whole series. I can not wait to see what comes next.
Master Romano is the fourth book in the Masters of the Consulate series by Sylvia Black. It is a fantastic addition to this paranormal romance series- with vampires, witches, curses, feuds, agendas, an underworld society, politics, the supernatural, magic, danger, tension, intrigue, drama, emotion, superb world-building, twists, dramatic turns, opposites attract, duty, responsibility, choices, challenges, and a whole lot of sizzlingly HOT developments. Even though this is the fourth book in the series, I really recommend reading the other three books before beginning this one. Each book in the series focuses on its own separate couple, but as there are interconnected details, as well as recurring characters that span the series- I really recommend reading from the beginning and seeing what has happened right from the start, as each instalment contains information that I feel would help you to better appreciate this book, and the series as a whole. And the series seems to get better and better with each new addition, making it extremely hard to pick a favourite from the four (so far). I am really thrilled to find that there are 12 books planned for this series! Colour me excited! Can’t wait for the next instalment!!! Happy Reading!
Master Romano (Masters of the Consulate Book 4) by Sylvia Black 4 Stars
Although Romano and Raven are supposed to be enemies, there is no stopping love. Romano is a Master Vampire of the Consulate sent back to his territory in Romania to end a centuries old feud that the vampires and witches are having over the land. Raven is a young witch that is too curious for her own good. One evening she is caught by Romano lurking on his property. The attraction flares and they can’t stop thinking about each other. Raven unknowingly puts herself in a dangerous position caught in the middle of a feud she tries to understand. Despite the hatred she’s been taught to have towards the vampires, she finds herself wanting to help stop the war. After meeting Romano, she realizes that they are not all horrible creatures.
The story is interesting and filled with danger and intrigue. Although it’s book four in the series, it can be read as a stand-alone. The author tried to meld the modern world with the old world in this book. I feel it didn’t always work but it didn’t take away from the story. Having not read the previous books in the series, I was happy to not be lost. I enjoyed the book and will probably go back and read the rest.
The people saying you can read this as a stand alone clearly have read the previous books because as someone who hasn't read the others in the sets I was pretty lost in the first half of the book. They're taking about specific characters, betrayal, a rebellion, "the warriors" etc. I have no idea what or who any of these people are. And there's limited to no explanation about them. There's enough to go on that I get the basic concepts and can continue reading, but not enough to understand the intricacies.
That being said, it's my fault for not reading the other books before starting this one but I did want to warn others that you will be confused if up do what I did.
Once I was establish I noticed that the vampires are really OP with little consequence for such power. I've never been a fan of characters/ species that don't have weaknesses and can do what they want with little consequence. I also found Ravens reason for spying pretty dumb. The whole thing felt forced. The author has hundreds of reasons for then to cross paths and that's all she could come up with?
The interactions felt loveless, boring and forced and raven have off an air of ditzy-ness. I just really wasn't a fan of this book and felt it lacked a lot.
5 Stars Master Romano (Masters of the Consulate Book 4) by Sylvia Black
Master Romano is the fourth book in the Masters of the Consulate Series by Sylvia Black. This is a wonderfully written Paranormal/Vampires/Romance that once you start reading there’s no stopping until you finish. I was pulled in from the beginning and found myself lost in the pages trying to figure out what was going to happen next. I highly recommend reading the previous books if you haven’t already as they are just as good as this one and you get to know the characters better and what’s been going on up to this book. Master Romano has one very important task to do and that’s to try and settle the century old fued involving land between the vampires and witches. What he didn’t consider was how hard that task was actually going to be. All was going well until he meets a very sassy yet nosy witch. Holy Cow the sizzle between these two is off the charts. But when word gets out Romano is ordered to end her life to show his loyalty. I don’t want to give anything away .i highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I’m looking forward to reading more from this Author
I have been reading this book since the first book came out, and each time I am swooning in my own way literally! I can never get enough of these deep in depth characters or those steamy moments that impact my entire kindle screen! The author is certainly talented at making this series come to life!
I enjoyed this book with every part of my soul! The characters in this one were deep as they can go as always, the romance was steamy. The suspense was shocking at times, and kept you on the edge of your seat! I loved how things went with this book not in the ordinary sense. Everything was a risk it seemed, and to take it, meant putting everything on the line. As per usual, this book was impossible to put down. The story was different compared to others, and I was very much intrigued! Freaking loved this book!
The entire series is a must read for sure! I loved this book as a independent installment for all it was. The author has an amazing writing style! Highly recommend it all around! A must read with no doubt!
In the fourth book, Romano has to take Lucas back to Romania with him so Lucas can spy on him for Descallia. Romano captures a witch spying on his lands only to have her pop out. Raven is Devora’s niece who took her in when her mother died a couple of months prior. Raven wants to go back to Chicago and away from everything to do with the vampires and witches. As she and Romano grow closer, more and more witches and shifters are turning against the vampires and Devora’s coven. Everyone believes Isala is behind it…but is she? When it comes time to fight, they will discover even more secrets and who helped start this fight. Will Devora be able to keep the peace? Will she and Raven be able to stop those in charge? How will Raven and Romano end up? What happens when Isala and Lucianna, once again, end up missing? Another exciting action-packed story in the Master of the Consulate series. Each story is better than the last and leaves more questions to be answered in the next book~
I enjoyed reading this vampire romance story. This is the fourth book in this series which keeps getting better and better with each new installment. This is a series that needs to be read in order. I highly suggest reading the previous books first before this one to help with your enhancement of the characters and the author’s writing style. This is a well written story where we get to see Master Romano in action. This is a dark vampire fated mates story that is hard to put down. It is full of action and romance that you don’t want to miss. I enjoyed how the author used details to make the story not only realistic but also made the characters come to life. They have great growth as well as the plot throughout the story. This is an easy and entertaining story to read which had me coming back for more. I really enjoyed reading this book. I highly recommend this book and this author.
This is the fourth book in the Masters of the Consulates series, and what a ride it has been so far! Master Romano is in quite the predicament in this book. If you haven’t read any of the previous books in the series, you may be a little lost. It is possible to read them as standalones, but there is a lot of backstory that is continued from the previous stories. I will read paranormal anything, but this book has checked off so many boxes in my must-read list. Vampires and witches aren’t the best of friends, but when a witch named Raven is around Romano, a vampire, things are a little different. I don’t want to give anything away but know that the plot is absolutely amazing with the ‘we shouldn’t energy between these two. If you are looking for an incredible vampire romance with dramatic suspense, look no further. Give this book a chance and you will definitely be running back to pick up the first few books in the series!
Master Romano is Book 4 in the Masters of the Consulate series and I continue to love each book in the series. While you can read each as a stand-alone, I very highly recommend reading this series in order from the beginning as there is characters intertwined in each book. If you love paranormal romance filled with vampires, witches, shifters, secrets, tested loyalties and magic, do yourself a favor and check out this series!
Master Romano has to keep an eye out as there is findings of a rogue in their midst...but also there is suspicion toward Romano as well....is Romano innocent or guilty. When Romano meets Raven, whom is a witch, there is push and pull between them, since Romano is a vampire and she is a witch. With so many secrets in between them, can they work together and also see through the chemistry between them?
Definitely read and find out.....I am looking forward to more from this series!!!
Book 4 in the Masters of the Consulate series focuses on Master Romano and his escapades as he has his region in Romania. He's in the place where all of the witches claim as their home and territory, and has his work cut out for him. Even though there were connections in other books in the series to witches, this book brings the interacting between the vampires and the witches to a new light. Master Romano of course falls in love with one of the witches, and has a HUGE decision to make. Will he choose live of a witch who is a clear representation of his enemy? Or will he stand form on his role as a Master of the vampire community? This book takes the reader through many more twists and turns and leaves you wondering what Master Romano will decide as he struggles with his own desires and his responsibility to the vampire community. The author has done an amazing job of crafting very detailed stories in each book of this series, making this a thought provoking read!
This is the fourth book in this terrific and thrilling series and it is every bit as good as the last. When I first stumbled upon the series and it's wonderful author it was a total accident and I read them out of order. However when I first picked up book two and saw its beautiful cover and read it's synopsis I knew right away I would be hooked. After devouring the first 3 I anxiously awaited book four and devoured it as soon as it hit my kindle. The cover is just as beautiful as the previous books, and the storyline is once again filled with action, drama, romance, and of course some suspense. This series has quickly become one of my favorites since I discovered it last year, but book four is by far my favorite. The characters are amazing, the word building is out of this world, and I simply can't wait to see what we get next.
A good paranormal romance book! Our lead characters are written well but could use a little more fleshing out. I feel like they are just on the cusp of being spectacular! Raven has the charm of a witch coming into her own and her power. She has gone the road of “being normal” and now has been pulled in to the world of her family and ancestry. Romano is an old master vampire with a long-standing hatred of witches. He is tasked with finding the traitors in the midst of his people. He catches Raven spying on his home and is instantly captivated with her. Poof! He is over his hatred and mistrust. The world is well-written but could also use a little more fleshing out in the details. Overall, the book is really good! It just feels a little rushed and like a few more details could be added to really knock it out of the park!
Master Romano was a little slow to get started but the first two chapters were mainly to introduce characters and the plot it was all necessary to the story. Once it got started I didn’t want to put it down. I read it in about a day and a half. I loved Romano, his crew, and the banter between the vampires but one thing I couldn’t shake for some reason was Raven’s naivety and how immature she felt as a character. Like, she’s still in school, rebellious, should she really be having this type of relationship with a vampire? Maybe it was needed for the story to progress because her being so trusting and naïve becomes a point in the story when the vampires begin pointing fingers in her direction for betraying them because she gave everything up so easily. Overall it was a quick read that I really enjoyed.
This is the 4th book in the Dark Vampires series. While it can be read as a standalone, I definitely recommend reading the others to really understand the storyline and basis behind the novel. I love the character of Romano. Sylvia Black has made him out to be a burly "beast" but underneath it all he is sweet, lovable, and understanding. He is also fiercely protective, loyal, and a formidable leader. I also love Raven's character as she is extremely complimentary to Romano. She is bright and sassy and energetic. And while she was raised to be afraid of Romano, she isn't. I love the push and pull of their relationship. Black does a fantastic job of writing fast-paced stories that hold the reader's attention. Her plot lines are amazing and her spice level is *chef's kiss*. I can't wait for the next installment of this series.
WOW!! The thrilling adventure of Sylvia Black's "Masters of the Consulate" continues in 'Master Romano' whose region just so happens to be in Romania. Remember, if you've been following the story, that's also the location the Witches claim as theirs. Yep, the 400+ year feud is over that land. Can you say, "And the plot thickens?" Oh, and Master Romano's land adjoins the witch's property where they have a school, rather like a modern-day Hogwarts. This book is so exciting and there's so much I want to tell you but I'll give you this. When Romano gets to his territory and gets home he finds a woman hiding behind a tree as if she's looking for something or someone. Come closer so everyone doesn't hear. It's Devora's niece! Hang on because this one moves at top speed and there are fairly sharp corners coming at you.
Master Romano is a loyal member of the vampire community ruling over a very large region of vampires. However his loyalty is being questioned after other trusted members of the community were found to be traitors.
Master Romano finds himself with a growing connection to Raven, whom is a witch. Not just any witch, she’s the niece to Devora, who has hated the vampires for centuries.
Master Romano must find a balance in finding the leader of the rouge group, taming his interest in the witch, and showing the consulate his loyalty still remains with the vampires this get a bit interesting.
Will Master Romano be able to have it all? Proving his loyalty and keeping his spot as master all while trying to gain the approval to take a witch as his mate?
