This mountain romance was an excellent read from beginning to end. I enjoyed the short and steamy story line. River and Sophie's connection was instant, I loved how the story came together and really sucks you in. This was the first time I had read a book by Ren Booth and wow was i impressed by her work.

What I like- this book is a delightful blend of the sweet and savory. There are moments so sweet that they will take your breath away, followed by spicy scenes that will make your kindle sweat.
What I didn’t- I really like novellas because I feel that many longer books need an editor’s guidance. I rarely say this, but I would have liked for this book to be longer. There’s so much that could have been explored, like Sophie’s professional dreams and the Morgan family.

Sometimes our future is right in front of us

I love the Honey Valley series. Each story just gets better and better. River and Sophie grab at your heart strings and won’t let go till the last page.

I loved Mountain River: The Morgan Boys Book 3 of Honey Valley. River knows he can’t have Sophie but that doesn’t stop him from wanting his best friends sister. She’s everything he wants but he can’t risk his best friend, plus he’s too old and he’s not good enough for her. Sophie has loved River for most of her life but just when she thinks they can finally be together, he won’t risk his friendship. Danger is lurking around her and River will keep her safe but she can’t be around him any longer, maybe it’s time to move on. I loved the storyline and the characters. He’s stubborn and protective, she just wants his love. I would definitely recommend this book and the series.

Mountain River is Book 3 of the Honey Valley series. It's a short and steamy, OTT, instalove, age-gap, curvy girl gets her brother's best friend romance. Sophie is a curvy college graduate who likes to make jewelry and works at her brothers' bar. River is a hunky mechanic, 10 years older, and her brother's best friend. Sophie has had a crush on River since she was little. River has been crushing on Sophie since she returned from college. But he is worried about their age-gap and her brother. But when he finds out she likes him too, will he give in? What will her brother say? Their chemistry was hot, and the ending was super happy. I can't wait for Thor's book next!.

I've been eagerly awaiting River and Sophie's story. There's been chemistry between them since Smashed in Honey Valley series.

River has watch Sophie grow up, since she's his best friend's sister. But it's not until she comes home from college that he sees her as more than his best friend's sister. He also knows that if he acts on his attraction, his best friend will kill him.
Sophie has had a crush on River since she was in her teens. She's tried dating, but no one has ever lived up to River. Will they take their chance on love?.

This is such a swoon worthy read. River is so caring for Sophie. He is willing to give up his happiness for her, because he thinks she deserves better.

Mountain River is elemental and beautiful. River has been in love with his best friend’s sister, Sophie, forever. She also has secretly pined for him. With their complex history laid out for us, it’s easy to see why they’ve kept their feelings hidden. The danger Sophie faces is the perfect plot twist to throw them together, and I love how the author builds their chemistry and connection. This is a steamy and satisfying novella with all the feels!

Eu amo tramas envolvendo o melhor amigo do irmão, mas não consegui me conectar com essa. Estava tudo muito paradinho, nada muito empolgante acontecendo.... E quando finalmente algo aconteceu, River se acovardou. Deveria ter priorizado a Sophie e os sentimentos dela - deles, na verdade, já que eles se amavam. O que o irmão dela, Silas, disse no cap 11 foi certeiro. Faltou atitude ali, e homem sem atitude para assumir um relacionamento não dá.

I really enjoy these short, sweet books. They are a great palate cleaner from heavier books. The characters are fun and well written. The plots, though predictable, are entertaining. I've really enjoyed this series and can't wait for the next.

The author has given us a wonderful older man/younger woman story that pulls us into the lives of River, Sophie and his best friend/her brother, Sean. The story keeps us turning the pages with forbidden desire, connection, insecurities, heartbreak, realization and steam.

Best friend’s little sister is supposed to be off limits, but when she returns those same feelings, is it really wrong. Liked this dilemma of where does the loyalty lie, and how to keep everyone happy. Fast paced with a twist of story when history may repeat itself.
