No Marriage of Convenience for a Cowboy is a story that will tug on your heartstrings. Arianna, like her foster sisters, had a very hard past. They made themselves into a family and have not lost touch even though they're all adults now. Arianna feels worthless and unlovable because that's what she was told by her biological family. Kieran was raised in a loving family with brothers who deeply care for each other. Author Alexa Verde does a great job of writing the perfect romance for this seemingly mismatched couple. Add in an adorable niece and a grumpy teenaged nephew and try to make a family out of that? The author does that very well also. There are some suspenseful parts that I particularly enjoyed. I thoroughly enjoyed Reading Show Me a Marriage of Convenience by Alexa Verde. This well-written book has characters that are so well developed out that you feel like you could pick up the phone and call them to have a chat. I found myself rooting for them sometimes and cringing for them at other times. Kade and Heather both carry baggage all the way from their childhood and sometimes that causes them to react in ways that are less than productive for their relationship. The one thing that they know that they have in common is their love for Landon, Kade's son and Heather's nephew. Although there are bumps along the way, there is an extraordinary HEA. There are also several great humorous scenes sprinkled throughout the book. Show Me a Reunion deals with themes of forgiveness and reconciliation. The characters are well-fleshed out so that the reader has no problem knowing what makes them react the way that they do. I love the big Italian family that Giovanni has and how they are always there for each other. Alexa Verde deals with the dark parts of the book very well. Meredith and Giovanni eventually handle all that's happened in their pasts. I enjoyed the mystery and suspense elements of the book, but it is mainly a wonderful second-chance romance. Seaside Cowboy's Marriage of Convenience has all the feels. My emotions went right along with the characters'. The guilt, the joy of letting go of that guilt, the freedom found through faith, falling in love, fear of losing that love....Austin and Kennedy are great main characters with layers of depth. They do get a wonderful HEA. I loved the mystery part of the story. I didn't even come close to guessing who the bad guys were, but it made perfect sense. I would definitely read more from author Alexa Verde and highly recommend this collection to readers of clean romance, Christian romance readers, and to readers who like their romance with a splash of mystery and suspense. I had read all of these books when they released and thoroughly enjoyed reading them again. I received a complimentary copy and am sharing my opinion of these well-written stories.
No Marriage of Convenience for a Cowboy: I adored this installment. T was great to return to these sisters and the suspense. I loved getting more peeks at the siblings and learning more about them. A thrilling book with some lovely children.
Show Me a Marriage of Convenience: I loved this single dad romance! There were some super interesting and unique aspects. I’m so excited that Verde is doing a bunch of Cowboy Crossing books. I’ve devoured all of the ones by Jessie Gussman. I cannot wait to see more of this family!
Show Me a Reunion: The prodigal. I adored this book. The characters and their histories and the situations they are in. The aspect of danger and the strength of family. A perfect book to curl up with.
Seaside Cowboy's Marriage of Convenience: I really loved the humor woven into this book. Our poor hero. Lol. Mishaps and allergies and mishaps again. I enjoyed this hero falls first, marriage of convenience. I liked the family and suspense woven in. It was a lovely read.
Marriage of Convenience is my favorite genre. I absolutely loved this boxset by Alexa. The way the family, and friends that become part of the family, supports one another is so incredibly special. Each book stands on its own and has it's own story to tell. Well done Alexa, you've written another winner.
My favorite trope!!! This is a delightful boxset collection of previously published marriage of convenience, full-length novels by Alexa Verde. It's a wonderful sampling from some of her various series and each story is sweet, clean, and biblically based. There are elements of suspense, but always a "happily ever after" for the main characters. I highly recommend!
Alexa has once again excelled and hitting all the right feels in this book. You got to love how Austin and Kennedy are indeed the most awkward couple who fit perfectly together. Austin's sunshine and Kennedy's storm clouds go together like nails on a chalkboard and provide a lot of entertainment, angst, and just good clean fun! Love their stories and now I'm hooked on her books
This box set is a really great set of christian books by one of my favorite authors. Each book has a story of love and faith along with a little mystery. I enjoyed each of the books and look forward to more books by this author.
If you like the marriage of convenience genre, you will love this collection. Each story is unique and the couples are adorable. You will be cheering them on as they slowly discover that their marriages are so much more than "convenient".
Just finished the 4th book in this boxed set, and as with everything I’ve read by Alexa Verde, I loved all the books in the set. She hits on hard topics-prison, rape, and kidnapping to name a few-but her characters not only survive but flourish.
I enjoyed reading each story. To me, it seemed like two of the stories were very much alike. I always like when children are written in with much love of the adults. Anyone would enjoy these books and others by the Author Alexa Verde. MK
