OMG!! Wow, this was an astonishing book to read I was hooked from the start, this story was written well and the characters were captivating. This was about Creed Saint and Bella, Bella has always loved being a Ballerina. Creed is the Don for the Mafia family in Chicago he is a dark and dangerously deadly Alpha male. He has an infatuation with a ballerina but he has deadly secrets and so does Bella.

Get comfortable, make sure the edge of your seat is well padded … you’ll be spending a good amount of time there … have snacks, cold drinks with plenty of ice handy and get ready to be totally immersed in the world of The Cruel Kings! This is book two, Creeds story and I was instantly transported into a world where crime families rule and jockey for position, where deals are made and sealed in blood and betrayal. Both Creed and Bella bear emotional scars from their respective upbringings. The details are at times horrifyingly heartbreaking and will be left for future listeners to discover, far be it from me to engage in spoilers! The characters, ALL the characters, not just the leads, are perfectly defined, detailed, and beautifully human. I truly felt as if I came to not only KNOW Creed and Bella, but gleaned a deeper understanding of Styx and Easton as well as the various ne’er do wells and supporting characters! This understanding is so much of what allows me to become totally immersed in a story! Extremely well plotted, the story itself was riveting! I love twists, turns and surprises and I was not disappointed! Of course, I’ll not be giving up the goods here, that just wouldn’t be right, but know that their story is seeped in mystery and suspense, their road paved with action, twists, turns, surprises, searing delicious heat, AND a perfectly timed reveal that will answer all your questions! The bonus for me was the epilogue that not only satisfied me completely, but brought me to tears! I can’t wait for book three! The icing on the proverbial cake was the narration! Smooth … sultry … perfectly timed, perfectly paced, one hundred percent believable AND at all times emotionally convincing, leaving no doubt as this beautiful story came vibrantly ALIVE as I listened, that THIS was exactly the “feel”, the VISION the author intended! Part of the Cruel Kings series I will say you might want to make sure to double check that you are buckled up, dangerous men, alpha’s personified, possessive, oh, gorgeous, brooding all the makings of a story consisting with three D’s (dark, delicious, and dirty) 😊. There will be suspense, betrayal, death, darkness, secrets reveled, violence, hope, forgiveness, and maybe even love along the way! Creed sexy as all get out Don of the Saint Empire with all the qualities of a Don controlling, gets who/what he wants, ruthless, dangerous on a good day, deadly every day, uses his power to make or break a business or person, possessive, and isn’t a man you want on your radar giving the vibes of tread lightly around him. Bella is sweet when she wants to be with a touch of spice standing her ground, standing up for herself as well as others, she is an amazing ballerina dances flawlessly unbeknownst to her she has caught the eye of the one man she wants nothing to do with and he decides it is his duty to protect her by any means necessary. She is the light in his darkness so taking and working through their issues of her fighting him every step of the way all while the magnetic pull between them grows the more she fights him the stronger the pull but what happens when she learns the truth, knowing that she really did have people after her, will she trust him, will she learn the truth about her father, and can they find happiness in all the craziness?

I could feel the darkness when I read this story,but also I could see the lights when they open up for Creed! Like a beautiful flower open up to feel the sun.Bella was a ray of sunshine ,just not to Creed or her friend Jonas but to everyone who step into her life.This story is dark,edgy, full of secrets on Bella's side but many more on Creed's side.He does tell most of them to her but buy the time he realizes he is in love with her he will have told her.Creed's life has been hell,full of punishment, lies,feeling hatred from his father and no love from him only from his brothers,until he captures his little dancer.She is his bright light,sunshine. But she may have enemies, someone really wants her dead and Creed trys to save her but she over hears a conversation between Creed and Kane and it really hurts and doesn't trust Creed,but there is a accident when she tries to escape and she is all most killed again.Creed works really hard to bring back her trust in him and she does.Now Creed and Bella work on who is wants to kill her and double crossing him.They un cover hidden secrets. Everything works out for Bella and now she is richer now than before she met Creed.Creed has gone thru a ton of changes thanks to Bella,he isn't so dark,he smiles,he laughs,he is happy with his life thanks to his little dancer!

This Mafia-themed book by Ms Stone was near perfect. It was brutally captivating, with so many twists and turns that didn’t know what to expect next. I loved the cat-and-mouse the game between Creed and Bella. He was on the hunt, and she was the hunted. They had more in common than I could have imagined, with both reliving the nightmare of their childhoods. They were connected by their warped families' idea of love.
Creed was the Don of the Saint family. He was a predator, so watch out if you cross him, but he found his soulmate in Bella. She was his prized possession and the only woman his heart would accept. In reality, he was just another man who needed love. It took time for him to convince Bella that his feelings for her were genuine, but gaining her trust was another matter.
Despite being so young, Bella handled the challenges in her life with a maturity that
was way beyond her years. I admired her spirit as she fought Creed at every turn. She awakened his conscience and made Creed question his lifestyle. I loved how honest and genuine Bella was and her efforts to help others who were in need.
This couple had so many layers to peel back until they could find peace and happiness together. No real mean feat considering how they suffered and were damaged by their childhood. Another exciting read by this author.

This is full of twisted page turner content I thought the last book was amazing but this series just keeps getting better and better! In this book we get the second oldest brother story the don of dark criminal organization the three brothers own. A lot of the time getting over hard childhood acts/ memories is almost impossible this no different. Creed and Bella have been through their own versions of hell this story as lots action packed, suspense all the way around. Who knew that one night could change everything for so many people be careful what you wish for lol. Bella is so incredible independent woman who has big dreams but stuck taking care of a mother who is constantly mean to her. Dancing is a loving outlet for her and she’s amazingly talented. Creed doesn’t know how to handle his dark energy/ needs he is surprised by the answer he feels/ finds. Get ready for a feisty dark ride the two wonderful characters take you on. The story itself has lots of in it crazy attraction, lots in common, betrayal, intense conflict, secrets, mystery and so much more you won’t want to put this down so many unpredictable things how will it end find out for yourselfs. It’s so exciting I loved everything especially the characters chemistry!

Bella knows that Creed is not a man to be denied but she is determined, stubborn and when she says no, she means it no matter who that is said to. However, he has never listened to anyone else’s opinion or demands and simply ignores her wishes.
He has decided that she is his and that he will do what ever it takes to keep her safe and sound, he discovers wo her father is and the power that he has at his hands and how he can use it and then puts a plan in place.
I guarantee that like me you will enjoy every moment of this story and will be captivated.

The second book in the Cruel Kings series is so FASCINATING!!
This story is riveting, intriguing and dark.
The characters are very INTERESTING and PASSIONATE.
Creed is controlling, dominant and rich.
Absolutely book boyfriend worthy if your like me and like them rough, dirty and deadly.
As Don of the Saint empire he definitely has the whole powerful, possessive and I get what I want persona to a down packed.
As for Bella, she’s more than a masterful dancer. I found her to be fierce, sassy and you want me than your going to work for it kind of tenacious character.
Together Creed and Bella are dynamite, a quick fuse with an explosive attraction and chemistry.
When Creed decided he wanted Bella he made it so even if she didn’t want him, but her undeniable desire and need for him was stronger than anything she had ever felt before.
Their road to HEA is paved with twist and turns, revelations and sensual times.
So get lost in this mafia romance that will give you all that burning passion you will delight in with a side of danger, mystery and intense drama.

Together Creed and Bella are dynamite, a quick fuse with an explosive attraction and chemistry.
When Creed decided he wanted Bella he made it so even if she didn’t want him, but her undeniable desire and need for him was stronger than anything she had ever felt before.
Their road to HEA is paved with twist and turns, revelations and sensual times.

Two completely different people from two completely different worlds both with childhood trauma. He goes on the Hunt to chase his demons and she dances to chase hers. If there was EVER a couple destined to be together it’s Creed and Bella. The instant connection for him immediate and there is no way he isn’t going to have her even if he has to take her. She is his light!!!! This book is AMAZEBALLS!!!!! The tense storyline is fantastic. I couldn’t put this book down. Between his enemies and hers ( she’s not aware she has ) he does what he can to keep her safe even in her defiance. Will they find their happiness after the puzzle is complete? This book has everything it made me laugh and me cry densely made me pace. Piper is know for her spicy and suspenseful storylines I have to say this is one of her BEST to date as a matter of fact the WHOLE series is AWESOME perfect for summertime reading!!

This is a bit dark but not bad. MMC (Creed), is, as he says, "a very bad man". He is in charge of the syndicate and does arms dealing. He is not afraid to get his hands dirty, enjoys the kill and torture, and has very little emptions. Creed gets redeemed in big ways and we see a glimpse of his past/childhood which caused him to be who he is now.
Bella is a ballerina and is trying to stay afloat between bills and taking care of her mom in a nursing facility.
Creed, when he sees Bella at a performance, falls head first. He sees her as his soulmate. He gives her 48 hrs then takes her to his place.
Will she also fall in love?
What about her mom?
Will she remain a captive?

He was controlling, dangerous, had only ever know violence never love, his desires were dark but with Bella his long forgotten heart seemed to come alive!

Controlled (Book 2 of Cruel Kings) by Piper Stone is a dark mafia novel. I really enjoy reading Piper Stone novels they are dark, gritty and raw with morally grey to dak men with troubled pasts. Usually they are redeemable though by smart and gorgeous women with troubled pasts. This book may be no different (I mean I can no say if he is redeemed).
Creed and Bella are an amazing couple. They both have been through so much and despite the games they play with each other they deserve love and happiness. The plot is interesting I loved the characters.
This book was very good and as usual I can not wait to read more by Piper Stone.

This is Creed and Bella's story and the second in the Cruel Kings series.
Creed, like his brothers, Styx snd Easton, has only known cruelty in his life so when he sees Bella,
he is instantly attracted and doesn't know how to deal with this emotion, he only knows he wants her. Bella has her own issues with a mother who has never shown her affection and blames Bella for being alone.
Will these two be able to overcome their differences and help heal each other?
Another easy to read page turner.
I'm looking forward to Easton's story next.

After Creed finishes some business, he attends the ballet that his family supports. As soon as he sees Bella he knows that he has to claim her as his own. Bella is struggling to take care of her sick mother and works as a dancer in an adult club. She meets Creed backstage after the show when she is meeting with some donors. Its not long before he lets her know his intentions with her. Will he get his woman? Will she stay with him?
This is a great story that will draw you in from the first chapter on. This is a well written and very entertaining story. Its book that any book lover would enjoy.

To say the story was action packed would be a gross understatement. It captured my attention at the beginning and held it until the very end. Just when I think I have figured out what is happening, I am surprised to find out I am so very wrong. I loved Bella and Creed and was glad for their HEA but it did not come easy and at times I wasn’t sure they would even survive. I loved everything about this story and would highly recommend it as a great read.

When Creed Saint sees Bella there is a flicker of recognition but he knows that she is the one for him. Bella is determined to fight him knowing how dangerous he is but there are dangers out there threatening her and Creed will do anything to keep her safe. When it is discovered who her father is everything starts to make sense with the power play that is surrounding them. A dark, hot and steamy read full of drama that you won't be able to put down. The tension, the banter, the sarcasm, the romance EVERYTHING, had me screaming with excitement. Piper can write some of the best intense dark mafia romance books ever that will make your heart skip a beat or even stop at times. The cover of this book is just as HOT as the writing inside and let me warn you this book has it all.

Controlled is Creed and Bella excellent, steamy, action packed story. The Don and the Ballerina, world's could not further apart yet these two couldn’t be more perfect for each other. Their path to forever wasn't easy by any means but once they found their sweet spot life only got better for them. Remember it's a dark story so check the trigger warnings before you start. I completely enjoyed their story and definitely recommend it!

A Classic Piper Stone Book
Quite an enjoyable read. It has all the hallmarks of what a reader can expect from a Piper Stone book. What I really enjoyed with this book was the mystery in it. It was quite the suspenseful and convoluted story line. I will definitely go back and read the first book in this series. While it was not necessary to enjoy this book, it teased enough to pique my curiosity about Styx and Emily's story. An enjoyable read for sure.

This is the second book in the Cruel Kings series, but it can be read as a standalone. Bella wants nothing more than to be a prima ballerina, but she is drowning in debt. Creed doesn’t believe in love but knows that he wants Bella, and he plans to make her his. Fast-paced mafia read with loads of drama, suspense, and sizzling chemistry. Great characters with lots of depth and an intense read. I liked it.

The dancer moves gracefully and full raunchiness. The Saints family is a big patron of the Arts. Creed attends a ballet and notices the lead ballerina, realizing it is the same dancer that was at the strip club. She can feel his eyes staring at her. Does she know that he is coming for him? Does he know how perfect for him she? Does she really want him? She needs to be careful what she wishes for. I definitely recommend this book to dark romance lovers.
