Evidence of an ancient human civilization that flowered between 18,000 and 12,000 years ago. Traces left by this culture point to technology that in some disciplines was not that far behind us. Evidence points to remarkable skills in medicine, precision stone working & finishing, large scale logistics and large scale project management. 5 books21 followersMy motivation is to resolve historical enigmas and find out what really happened in our past.
Before going to high school, my main interests were cosmology and ancient civilizations. My career, in senior finance roles, involved long hours and numerous corporate transactions working with lawyers and accountants. I never had time to read for pleasure. However, the focus on factual and numerical accuracy combined with verification of supporting evidence has lent itself to my writing in retirement.
My research has benefitted from scanning across many disciplines – including astronomy, atomic physics, vulcanology, terraforming, geology, biology, climatology, archaeology and its more recent cousin, astro-archaeology. Human knowledge in these fields has been transformed during my working life. I have also applied some of these disciplines to understanding the Bible, when its books were likely written, why key edits were made and identifying deliberate translation errors. Also, why almost all original texts were hunted down and destroyed after being declared heretical in support of newly invented dogma changing original Christian beliefs. Many authoritatively documented changes will astonish conventional Christians.
Conventional accounts of history are overwhelmingly derived from written records, other disciplines which could shed light on paradoxes and enigmas are shunned. It seems to me that much of tenured academia is trapped in narrow chimneys of thinking and rarely looks to other disciplines for verification.
My interests may be summarised as: understanding the evolution of our universe, the evolution of our planet leading to the emergence of humanity and possible civilised cultures pre-dating the conventionally accepted earliest Egyptian and Sumerian. I am fascinated by how humanity evolved its definition of a divine creator. To my surprise, we now have proof (to sixth sigma standard) that an incredible intelligence was responsible for the design of our universe, but nothing in the Bible comes near equivalent verification whilst much is clearly anachronistic or factually incorrect.
My findings astonished me and led me to write. Initially I just got books printed and gave them to friends that were interested but many readers persuaded me to publish.

Prequel: Younger Dryas Meteor Impacts, The Flood & Atlantis is the kind of book that leaves you thinking about its questions even after you finish reading.
What I found most interesting was the way Glyn Thomas brings together the Younger Dryas, ancient climate changes, archaeology, and stories that have been passed down for thousands of years. The discussion about possible meteor impacts and their connection to sudden environmental changes gives the subject an intriguing starting point.
I was especially drawn to the sections exploring Noah’s Flood and Atlantis. Whether you see these accounts as history, tradition, legend, or something that still deserves investigation, the book makes you stop and consider how much ancient experiences may have been preserved through stories and passed from one generation to another.
I also liked that the book encourages you to look beyond familiar timelines and think about what dramatic climate changes may have meant for early human societies.
