A bit mellower than book 1 but a great continuation to the series.

Rachel is held captive by Rogue Zach while fighting her Druid biology... very unsuccessfully. Really this series is mind fuck and fuck for all. Not much sex going on here.

There is a big showdown with the leader of the Reapers. A tragic death. A family reunion... and a true bonding. Not much else to say here, but it does seem to be building up for something.

There is an introduction of Holly who looks exactly like Rachel but 10 years her junior.

I am really enjoying this series so far. This is book #2 and we not only get Rachel's POV in this story; but also Cole's. Rachel is still being held captive by the Rogue vampire, Zach who is after her Druid blood just like all of the other vampires. Cole is on the journey trying to find Rachel, because in his opinion, Rachel is his; and he wants no one else to have her. This installment introduces us to a new Druid named: Holly. She is an innocent, as well as only nineteen years old. There are some facts that are revealed about her, and Zach gets a huge surprise when he comes face to face with Holly!
Even though this is a short story, there is a lot going on from beginning to end. The author does a great job of having plenty of reveals without it being an information dump for the reader. The fight scenes are very graphic and full of action, I was cringing at some of the gross descriptions; but the scenes were extremely well written.
Once again, Marata Eros delivers an action packed story full of excitement and surprises. I am fully engaged in this wonderful series and I can't wait to see what happens next in this interesting world!

Did enjoy this series but has serious rape issues throughout all books. There are a lot of different types of vampires in this series that at times gets confusing.
The story takes awhile to develop throughout the 7 books but the ending was a bit lagging.
This book is very graphic and has A LOT of sexual abuse which at times does over take the books every other sentence is a female getting attacked and sexually abused.
Might look into the full length novel hopefully might clear up the ending

While this series fit in with a lot of my likes, vampires, unwitting "normal" heroine suddenly catapulted into a fantastical world, a "pureblood" no less, some horror, hot erotica, I found myself increasingly uncomfortable by the worldbuilding, specifically the disconnect between how special the women were meant to be, but how they are treated.
I suppose the term "breeders" should have given me some inkling but the initial emphasis on how rare, how special they are to the plot lulled me into a false sense of what exactly I was reading.

Part 1 is not as uncomfortable and I found it a good read which is why I went for parts 2 and 3. By 3 I was so disgusted by what the female characters go through, I couldn't finish it or continue to buy the series.

For the first time reading erotica, I felt the point of view was extreme male sadism, degradation, and women as objects with no control over the sexual situations they are put in. I suppose the scene in #1 with Rachel's "normal" friend Michelle should have given me a clue, but I had faithfully read the author's caveat that there would be some non-voluntary activity and the following sexual scenes between Cole, Rachel and Nathan were sexy as hell. So I continued.

By Parts 2 and 3 some of the excesses of male pornographic fantasy were fully represented, I don't want to give away any plot details for people who may enjoy degradation, sadism, but "foaming" from multiple emissions doesn't do anything other than turn me off. Also the male "equipment" gets more and more invasive and gory as the series goes on.

By #3 women willing or no are simply convenient receptacles for semen. Insteads of hot under the collar, I wanted a very long hot shower.

3.5 Stars Updated review 11/26 (after completing the rest of the books)I think after the first two books I read, it all finally clicked, I got where the author was coming from and totally took the book and story for what it was worth. If you are unable to remove yourself from what is "socially correct" than this book is so not for you. As the author mentions: **This book is intended for an adult audience and contains marginal consent, multiple partners, forced breeding, vampire sex, and oral play.**

Picked up where it left off, talk about jumping right in there, but for a short novella, where it lacks in length it makes up for in keeping you wanting to read. I kept turning the page just to see what happens, should it be longer, I'm not so sure, yeah I want some more, whop doesn't, but at the same time I feel like if it is longer, it would lose the momentum. We get introduced to new characters and lose others ... Just keeps on going. NOTE: On to book 3 - the series had a "black Friday" sale so I picked up most of the books.

Anyway Zach becomes an ally to Cole and turns out to be a good guy. That happens when he finds his soulmate. Before that he had Rachel captive but didn't do anything she didn't wanted or liked.
Alexander becomes a threat to Rachel and Holly and Cole and Zach must find their mates.
If you liked the first book you will like this one too.If you didn't try this one.Maybe it will change your opinion about the trilogy.

After reading the first I figured I should give the second a try some authors really find their way as the series continues but I was again met with a difficult read for me. Again the book isn't terrible, and I'm gonna finish the series but this will probably be the only series of hers I read unless the writing style has changed

The second book in this trilogy picks up where Reapers left off. Adan and Zach are vying for the same pure bred Druid and she can't help but respond to both of them. Ms. Eros gives us a fresh story line and lots of "steam",I just bought book 3 and can't wait to dive in.

This story is a wicked dive into the sensual world of the vampire. Be forewarned that this has been designated as a piece of EROTICA for a reason. There are some vivid rape scenes and explicit sexual encounters. These are not your sparkly vampires who live off of the fluffy animals of the forest. These are vampires that are possessive, gritty, dangerous and desperate to keep their species from dying out by whatever means necessary. They can be tender and loving in one moment and violent and ugly in the next. The tale also involves the need for the Druid females who are the only "species" of human that and produce offspring for the vampires. These vampires will acquire the Druid females by any means necessary, and their code of ethics does not necessarily coincide with ours.

The vampires in this series are exactly what I expected them to be. They are driven by their basest natures to alleviate their needs and search for the women who will mean their survival. I personally love how intricate and descriptive Marata Eros writes. She has a fluidity that carries through from one volume to the next. I always know who my characters are, what drives them and how far they are willing to go to get to where they are destined to be. The scenes are set and the surroundings are spelled out. Sometimes, the writing makes me laugh, sometimes cry, and sometimes I'm disgusted or angry. But, it always draws an emotion from me, and that is why I read. The writing takes me on an unpredictable adventure. I was thoroughly entertained and look forward to reading more of the series.

Holy utter malicious violence. For a superior species, these vampires act like heathens without discipline. Yet, they demand discipline at every turn. This story is utter stress and strain in living color. This is so unnerving at times I want to pull my hair out.

These Druid women should just be put behind bars and used as breeding hefers. Seriously, the Vampire feel completely entitled. I'm actually appalled at the continuous kidnapping, violence, sexual assault, and rape. Then there is the murdering which seems to be "OK"!

Ok, I'm not really appalled, just frustrated that these women aren't doing anything they know they should be doing to get out of this situation. Suicide seems like a very likely option.

If I were a Druid female in this situation, death would be my cowardly/logical way out. I certainly wouldn't be sitting around awaiting rescuing.

This installment (#2) picks up right where Reapers left off. I was a little apprehensive after reading book one to continue, but I did, and I probably will continue.

There is just something about the train wreck of crazy that is going on in this series. Be warned of rape and mental violations. These vampires are a new and intriguing type of character for me and I look forward to reading more.

I have submitted this review after listening to the audiobooks of this series.
Rachel and Zack, of the Rogue has a tremulous beginning, Cole feels that there is another Druid that could make his life complete. However, it costs Nathan's life, to find the one Cole immediately bonds to. Alexander isn't happy!

This is a review of the Druid Series Books 1-9, as if this was one book. The same review will be posted for all books in this series on my Goodreads profile. Spoiler free review! Star levels may change with the different books as some were more compelling than others. But all dependent on each other.
I LOVED this series. This is a pretty epic weaving of druids, vampires, Mers, etc. It is imperative, in my opinion, to read these back to back to back. Do. Not. Stop. Marata Eros has an incredible ability to paint a richly visual environment and give the reader tangible characters that you can attach to - for better or worse! To me, no matter the content or genre, if I can “see” what I’m reading, the author has gone above and beyond in creating a work of art. I became invested in the entire story, the complete lives and history that were being played out before me. This story is saturated with intense action, hot sex, mythical creatures, and a captivating history of another kind of existence. Even reading them in order, the timeline and characters can get a little confusing at times, but don’t give up, it’s worth it!
After reading the entire thing, it all comes into perspective. I loved trying to work it out along the way. I truly enjoyed the back and forth of characters, timeline, events, etc. I admit I wrote the author at one point to make sure I was reading things in the right order and wasn’t missing anything, but other than that, I really, really liked having to focus as much as I did to keep it all straight.
This is a pretty epic time line of events, characters and their history. It is important to read them in order. Things do seem to double back from time to time, and it is completely worth re-reading as you go along to make sure you have it straight! Not many series are worth that, again, in my opinion. This one was.

This series is so addictive!

Bled begins were Reapers left off.

The trilogy is about 2 pure blood druid sisters Rachel and Holly getting kidnapped by vampires at separate times for mating. The story is evolving and hot as heck. Cole and Zach are Rachel's and Holly's mate but the girls are continuously being taken by more vampires called reapers.

I gave it a 5 star cause I could not put it down. It kept me at the edge at all times. With shocking, funny, arousing, and omg moments. The erotic scenes were incredible. I will say there are some rape scenes I don't like but the author divulges that from the beginning so I won't use it as a strike against it. Also, it is better to get the trilogy together because if you get just the first part which is reapers it will leave you with more questions than answers.

The vampires are the superior race humans are the symbolism of cattle to them. Female humans are their breeders, ones with druid blood so enticing to the vamps that they become blood lustful and need to posses them at any cost. Purebred “druids” are the future of the vampire race, with their children allowing them to walk the day and not be shackled to the night. It becomes a biological connection at times body reacting over mind vampire’s controlling your thoughts. I personally found the angle taken absolutely fascinating.

Well off to the next part of the series because The Druid Series is awesome!!!

**Note from the author: a qualifier has been in place from the beginning so readers may make an educated choice prior to the download of this erotic story. After receiving thirteen, one-star reviews in which the reader chose a story that did not suit their taste, I elected to bold the key wording in my initial warning. Further: TDB novella series is an erotic-driven romance. This means that the sexual context of the story is primary and the romance is secondary. In subsequent installments, romance is flavored a little more strongly but does not overtake the erotic element. REAPERS is the first installment and is not a "stand-alone" as such.

Book Two down. I'm still not really involved with most of the characters with the exception of Zach. I'm not sure what it is about him that draws me a bit more to him. The two female MCs, not so much.

Once again, it was okay. Not something I would pick up to read again and not something that hits as a standard in my realm of what I believe to be dark erotic fiction. Yes, rape and kidnapping but there's a bit of a romance in this series .

My Thoughts:
From what I got the one side not that bad while the other side cough cough Reapers can go die in a hole. They make me slightly irritated, or maybe a lotttt! Then we get the really creepy twin aspect that comes in and their you’re left wondering about them. Simply amazing.
You fall in love with the story from the first page. The characters each have wills of their own ready to make you gasp in shock when they’re hurt, or when they do something you never saw coming.

The Review:
Once again we are left with a cliffhanger that leaves your mouth gaping open going HOLY CRAP! These characters just don’t have any luck. But anyway we meet Holly and Zach to characters that are easy enough to like. While meeting Zach we learn that bad guys group two are nice and better than group one. (Read my review for book one if you wish to know who the groups are.)
Marata Eros has a fun writing style to read. Her books are simply amazing.

I really enjoyed the first book, that being said, I did not enjoy this one.

It was told from 5 different perspectives. At one time there is a fight. Every 2 to 3 paragraphs (they are reallly small paragraphs), it switches to a different character perspective. I found it to be very confusing.

The characters were divided into either good or evil. The good ones being extremely good and honourable, (they'd probably throw themselves in front of a bus if there was a slim chance they would save the girl). The characters sometimes irked me in their overly angelic ways.

As for the development of the story line, it was not too shabby. But with the overzealous characters and different narration style, I don't think I will pursue this series any further.

I found this book was not worth my 2.99. The first book was free, so I guess I'll call it even.

This series goes in my POS category.
I read this series as a single book. If I had read them as a series I would not have gone past the first "book." Some of the ideas of the way the vampire world works are interesting and I think could be made into a pretty good story. Unfortunately the author was more concerned about the stories erotica aspects and really dropped the ball on storyline or world building. Frankly I don't understand what the hell is going on these stories other than that apparently, the lack of sex makes these guys really aggressive and they are ready to basically end the world if they have to in order to obtain a hole to put it in.
The writing is bad and confusing, the characters don't actually have character, there is essentially no plot and each "book" or chapter (as I read it) is pretty repetitive.

Read to Saturday 24, 2014

This was a good addition to the first book. This bonding is normally a werewolf thing; this is my first time reading of such vampire bonding.

The story held true to the reports of kidnap victims having things done to them against will but how their body betrays them.

I was concerned you were going to have a lust triangle with Rachel, Cole and Zach but it all worked out, and for that I am glad.

As Eric is the scum of humans, Alexander is the scum of vamps, so they have nothing to lose as they continue their selfishness and chase Rachel. Cole and Rachel will have to live in hiding, always on the run and will always need protection.

I am enjoying the story and the characters, so I will continue to the next and last book in this box-set.

☆Blessed be,

Another hit out of the ball park for me. I usually don’t like novellas, they’re just too short for my taste and everything seems rushed. Not so in this case.

I do have to give another warning on this one, though it’s not as big. There’s one quick scene of rape but a lot of violation so, again, be careful picking this series up.

For a novella, I’m surprised at how much information I’m getting about the characters. It doesn’t feel rushed or like it was just slapped together and published as a rough draft. I always thought that I wouldn’t be able to connect to the characters in a novella but, it’s written so well that I’m having no trouble at all. I’m not feeling the love in this series, it’s more like a case of Stockholm Syndrome. Maybe I’ll learn a bit more in the next book and it’ll start to feel like a love interest?

Book #2 in this series did not disappoint! I loved it! Again, some scenes are cringe-worthy (make sure you research the book before you buy/read), but the writing is well done and the storyline is unique.

Rachel is kidnapped by the Rogues, due to her Druid blood and Cole will stop at nothing to find her. As he searches, his friend Nathan stumbles across another Druid, Holly, who is very special. As the plot progresses, we learn she is to be the Queen and thus is the most vital part of their existence.

This author has a talent for an interesting plot/continuation, and as usual, sultry writing!
