BLURB:

From USA Today best selling author Scarlett Cole, writing as S. Cole, comes an electrifying amnesia, fake marriage, MC vs Cosa Nostra romance.

Sophia
No one knows why I crashed at high-speed driving a car that wasn't mine.
Except when I woke up in hospital, I had life-changing injuries and no memories at all.
Amnesia makes you a ghost in your own life.
I'm here, but not. I have a family whose names I keep forgetting and an apartment I don't remember choosing.
But I'm alive, and determined to make the most of this second chance.
Which is why when the grumpy biker arrives at the rehabilitation unit, I'm determined to become his friend. Until the family I'm beginning to trust betray me in the worst possible way.
And I can't help but wonder if escaping what they had planned for me was the very reason I ran.

Switch
Getting devastatingly injured while saving the life of a brother in the Iron Outlaws Motorcycle Club was a trade-off I'd make again in a heartbeat.
Even if I'm now a changed man with permanent damage who can't remember the last decade of their life.
Life is uncertain and holds little joy.
Until I meet a bundle of sunshine in rehab who has no memories at all.
Seeing her every day makes life better.
But then I overhear her brothers plotting something terrible, so awful, that it requires me to become the feared biker I once was to help her.
I believe in fate. That the two of us meeting like this was no accident.
Now, I need to believe in myself to get the two of us through this alive.

Four-time RITA finalist, Scarlett Cole, is a contemporary romantic suspense / contemporary romance author (represented by Louise Fury at The Bent Agency) who calls both Toronto, Canada and Manchester, England home. A born city dweller, she periodically quashes the urge to live in the country by hiking up a mountain to remind herself that living away from people would terrify the pants off her.

She believes everybody deserves their love story to be told and loves her heroes on the rough and rugged sideโ€ฆand usually tall (because she married one of those 6ft 6โ€ men you read about in romance!). Sheโ€™s an A-type personality and Scorpio star sign, so good luck getting her to do anything she doesnโ€™t want to.

When she isnโ€™t writing, sheโ€™s happy to talk hot men and expensive shoes while drinking a cold gin and tonic. Donโ€™t bring up olives. As far as Scarlett is concerned, they are the devilโ€™s food. As long as you donโ€™t bring up olives, sheโ€™s happy to hear from any time.

โ€œYouโ€™re meant to be here with me right now. Weโ€™re supposed to be on this path together at this very moment โ€ฆ None of this could possibly be a mistake.โ€

5 stars!

OMG, this book! A dark, exciting, emotional and beautifully romantic story with a grumpy/sunshine fake marriage, amnesia and a warring family all set within an MC world that I cannot get enough of.ย I knew Switchโ€™s story was going to be a big one, and this book owned me. From beginning to end I was absolutely hooked, and I loved every single freaking moment of this story!

At the end of the last book, The Souls We Claim, Switch was grievously injured. When we meet up with him again, heโ€™s in rehab for a head injury which has left him with significant side effects, most notably, he has no memory of the previous ten years. Sophia is in the same rehab facility following a bad car accident which left her with no memory at all. She is a ball of sunshine compared to Switchโ€™s broodiness, but the two of them share a connection, and when she is there for him when he hits a low point, he becomes fiercely protective of her. The twist is sheโ€™s the youngest daughter of the head of the Sicilian mafia, sworn enemies to the Iron Outlaws. When Switch overhears that sheโ€™s in danger (from her own family, no less), he immediately jumps in to save the day, offering to marry her for protection. With few other options, and feeling the same attraction that Switch is, Sophia agrees, and we dive into the most fantastic fake marriage set-up.

I say โ€œfakeโ€, but itโ€™s really not. There are feelings there from the start, and to go along with all of the grin-inducing โ€œmy wifeโ€ talk, from the very beginning, Switch and Sophia throw themselves into their new life together.

โ€œNo one is going to take my wife.โ€
Sophia smiles. โ€œI like the way you say that.โ€
โ€œSay what?โ€
โ€œโ€˜My wife.โ€™ Like it means something.โ€
I run my knuckle down her cheek. โ€œBecause it does mean something. Iโ€™ve never had a wife before. Might be kind of fun to try and make her fall in love with me.โ€

OMG, I love these two together! They have been through so much, been so close to death and lost so much, that theyโ€™re embracing the second chance theyโ€™ve been given and are following their hearts. Theyโ€™re honest with each other about everything, they know to find happiness in the little things, and they latch on to each other and let their feelings fly, and I freaking loved it!

โ€œI want to go see the world, Theo. Can we go sometime?โ€
โ€œYou ask me with that look on your face and that wistful tone to your voice and Iโ€™d move heaven or hell to make it happen.โ€

Switch is the most amazing hero. Of course, heโ€™s a badass biker (and more than a little bit filthy), but heโ€™s sweet, caring, and super protective. He opens his heart so beautifully, and the way he cares for Sophia is so swoony, and I just adored him.

โ€œI see you. I really fucking see you. And I want to be the man who is there by your side as you step back into the obvious power you had. Whatever that looks like now.โ€

And it turns out Sophia is quite the badass herself. Though she has this sense of vulnerability about her as she experiences all the things for the first time, sheโ€™s fierce and fun, and I loved her so much. They are a fantastic match, and I could not get enough of these two together.

โ€œWeโ€™re both a bit broken, Soph. Let me see the broken parts of you, and Iโ€™ll share the broken bits of me with you too. Maybe our broken pieces will fit.โ€

Their story unfolds at a dangerous time for the club, which brings some action and a nice intensity to the story. Sophiaโ€™s family obviously bring drama and danger, which brings out not only Switchโ€™s protective side, but also a whole heap of badassery. Thereโ€™s lots of time spent with the MC boys and their girls, and I loved seeing the dynamics at play as Switch returns to the fold, but with slightly different priorities now. It brings some conflict, but I enjoyed watching it all play out, and loved seeing so much of the characters from previous books.

But for me, as always, it was all about the romance, and itโ€™s so freaking good. Sweet and swoony, wildly sexy and a bit kinky, Switch and Sophia are there for each other, and guide and support each other through healing and finding their place again, and they are absolutely beautiful together.

โ€œDoes it always feel this good, Theo? From what you remember.โ€
โ€œSex?โ€
I place my hands on either side of his head and force him to look at me. โ€œNo. This. You and me. How good it feels to be a little reckless. To fall madly.โ€
โ€ฆ โ€œNever.โ€

Scarlett Cole continues to rock my world with this series. Every book makes me fall harder, and I cannot wait for Vexโ€™s story which will finish up the series.

Such a fantastic read, and a fave for 2024.

5 stars.

I really can't say enough about this book. Actually, its the whole farking series! Literally, my favorite MC series right now and I gobble each one up as they come out. The Fates We Tame was certainly no exception. Well written. Well researched. I love when both the MMC and the FMC are morally "complex", lol. This book had tons of action, twists and turns, and hot smexy times that kept me riveted to the end. Another one for my Faves of 2024 pile!

I really don't know how Ms Cole does it. She wrote another amazing book with tropes I am not the biggest fan of. Amnesia really isn't something I enjoy reading about, so I wasn't too happy when I saw that both main characters suffered from it. But boy was I wrong!

Sophia and Theo went through so much to recover after their accident/protecting Ari and Lola that's awe inspiring. You never think how much your life changes and how you'll have to adapt to do the things you took for granted.

I love seeing them together and I loved even more seeing the past books' female characters living their best lives. And ugh, why do the men have to fuck it up about at least once every book?

All in all, this is a book about 2 people who fight for themselves and for the right to live life as they want to and we catch up with all past characters and meet new intriguing ones.

3*

I wanted to like this book, but it just didnโ€™t do it for me. Maybe itโ€™s because I didnโ€™t read the rest of the series, but I couldnโ€™t properly connect with the characters and their story. The beginning was really intriguing and I was engaged, but as the story continued it was hard to keep my interest, even with the little mysteries that are usually what I dig the most.
The main characters were quite the pair and I loved how their build each otherโ€™s strength and helped the other to love themselves again. They had a good chemistry and I really liked them as a couple. My issue was with how the story was developed. It was supposed to be enthralling and all consuming, but I ended up bored most of the time and having to force myself to finish.
My first book by Scarlett Cole was kind of a miss. It wasnโ€™t a total failure, but it left me disappointed. Iโ€™m not sure if I will try her works again, but something could always change and catch my eye in the future. It wasnโ€™t a bad book at all, it just didnโ€™t seem to work for me, unfortunately. I hope maybe at some point it will be different, but for now itโ€™s a no for me.

OMG!! I seriously did not think this series could get any better, but boy was I wrong!

Honestly, I don't know how Scarlett keeps delivering these incredible stories. But she does and this story is INCREDIBLE!!!

As medic and Iron Outlaw Switch who was injured saving Ari and Lola's lives in The Souls We Claim wakes in hospital with no memory or at least no memory of the last ten years and the Outlaws themselves.

Although Switch does remember some of the guys from his younger days and so King as President gets him into a rehab centre in New York. In the hope that his memories return and the injuries he sustained can be healed enough for him to return to the fold.

Which is where he meets Sophia. Who Switch nicknames Sparrow thanks to the eye patch she wears and who has been through a massive trauma herself. One she can't remember. But one she is told by her parents and brothers that was caused by her crashing her car accidentally.

Yet, Switch starts to hear her family talking behind her back and learns that Sophia is part of a mafia family. One that is planning to fly her to Sicily so she can marry an older man and secure her families future.

So, he decides to marry her with the help of a few of the Outlaws and before King and the rest can learn the truth that Sophia is Cosa Nostra. Who are enemies of the Iron Outlaws.

But now that Switch has claimed Sophia the Outlaws come to realise they have no choice but to step up and protect her and go head to head with the Cosa Nostra. Who will do anything to get Sophia back.

And I mean anything!

And with moments of danger, raw emotion and plenty of off the charts spice. Not to mention authentic relatable characters. This truly is an epic read in what is an epic series, and I'm so sad there is only one story left. But also so happy that I've got to enjoy this phenomenal series and that Vex's story is still to come and judging by that second epilogue it's going to go out with a bang!

I would thoroughly recommend The Fates We Tame to all and honestly if you've not read this series and love MC romance. Then do as this is truly the best one I've ever read.

My thanks to Scarlett Cole and Wildfire Marketing for the opportunity to read an early copy of The Fates We Tame. โ˜บ๏ธ

This is another phenomenal story in the ๐™ธ๐š๐™พ๐™ฝ ๐™พ๐š„๐šƒ๐™ป๐™ฐ๐š†๐š‚ ๐™ผ๐™ฒ series by this fantastic author.
Theo, AKA Switch wakes in the hospital with amnesia, heโ€™s lost a decade of memories.
He meets Sophia at the rehabilitation clinic theyโ€™re at, she has lost all of her memories. They share a connection and similar dark humor. A friendship develops as well as attraction.
I love the easy way the two joke with each other. They are dealing with physical pain, rehabilitation and the loss of their lives memories. Itโ€™s challenging, traumatic and life altering; they are a bright spot in the days for each other as they struggle with their new reality.
Switch saves Sophia from her families manipulative plans for her, they happen to be Cosa Nostra which is a bit delicate for his MC club to have issues with.
He busts her out of the clinic and marries her.
Itโ€™s a fake marriage to help her, but the two have already bonded and feelings continue to blossom quickly.
I love the unconventional romance between these two wounded, strong and compassionate characters. They are both incredibly protective and loyal to each other, I swooned so many times.
The MC is uncertain about her, I love how this situation plays out with the club members โ€œold ladiesโ€.
Thereโ€™s so much emotional depth and thereโ€™s sharp witty humor.
I love all the different types of friendships, loyalties and love between the characters.
Itโ€™s such an entertaining and smart story.
The chemistry between Sophia and Switch is blazing hot, sensual and a bit k!nky. Itโ€™s so delicious!
Thereโ€™s a lot of action, suspense and danger lurking. Thereโ€™s never a dull moment. This series continues to be 5 star fantastic! The characters, plots and the prose are all so wonderful and well balanced.
I absolutely adore these characters and their story so much.
The secondary characters are like old friends at this point and they really shine in this book.
Iโ€™m going to be so very sad after the next book as it is the final book in this amazing series. I highly recommend reading this series and the author.

It Doesnโ€™t Get Any Better Than This!!

Itโ€™s getting close to the end for the Iron Outlaws MC to come to an end which makes me try to soak up as much as I can from this series. Iโ€™ve been following this author for quite some time and she has become one of my favorites because of her writing style. She makes me โ€œfeelโ€ everything she brings to her characters.

With that said Switch and Sophiaโ€™s story was intense. Both are working through some major challenges but when something is overheard Switch goes into protection mode to take care of Sophia.

Be prepared for an emotional rollercoaster ride because this author can have me laughing one moment and then the next time Iโ€™m struggling with tears. This is what makes a book so great. I canโ€™t wait for the next book in this series.

I could not put this book down!! Scarlett Cole has, again, written a well researched, emotional, and thoroughly wonderful book. Sophia and Switch, both the victims of traumatic events which have robbed them of memories and a legacy of physical issues. Their meeting at the TBI clinic in which they are recovering, reveals one to be sassy, bubbly, and irreverent, while the other is frustrated, edgy, determined, and decidedly unchatty.
I lived the development of the relationship between these two. Ms Cole brings that sense of accuracy to the physical and mental struggles and at no time falls victim to the , and then they were better, temptation. Much more realistic!
There are so many layers to this book. Recovery, piecing lives back together, brother and sisterhood, family, intrigue, betrayal, 'warfare', and love. So much love! I felt the love grow between Switch and Sophia, and loved every minute of its progress. And the affection between the Outlaws. What a fabulous group of men. And next we have Vex. I am already anticipating another fantastic read! ๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’–

I donโ€™t know if Iโ€™ve ODโ€™d on this series or Iโ€™m not a fan of marriage of convenience tropes or what exactly it is, but Iโ€™m really struggling with this book. Itโ€™s also amnesia with both hero and heroine but Iโ€™m just not feeling this one at all. I still have Vexโ€™s story and the first book in the spin-off series but Iโ€™m going to take a much longer break before getting back into these ones.

The Fates We Tame is the penultimate instalment from author S. Cole Iron Outlaws MC series.
In this Grumpy/Sunshine, Marriage of Convenience, MC Club Romance, through the telling of dual POVs, we follow the story of Iron Outlaw member Switch aka Theodore โ€˜Theoโ€™ Ulysses Reavis and the FMC Sophia Chiara Viscuso.

Theo and Sophiaโ€™s story made for an intensely emotional ride. Partly courtesy of the trauma the two had faced from the accidents they had been in and still continued to given the aftermath that left them a shell of who they once were due to their amnesia.
As well as partly from the powerful yet impactful courageous road to recovery they found themselves navigating through together. All the whilst overcoming hurdles from outside forces that caused more bumps along the way.

Although the emotions released didnโ€™t just come from their feelings. Which was always loud and clear in their inner monologue within their individual POV chapters. Allowing us to get a real feel for what they were experiencing.
It was showcased too in their strength, determination and durability that they fought for, both individually as well as together as one. Since it bonded them to one another, which was presented all throughout.

When it came the sensitive subject matters steered through including mental health, psychological issues amongst others. Author Scarlett did a great job in handling it with care, as well as making sure to do it justice in the realism and authenticity of the details made known and explored through from the in-depth look we were showcased with through Theo and Sophiaโ€™s recovery.
Alongside the journey that took their marriage of convenience and turned it into a real relationship within the exploration showing development and growth from their changing feelings.

Since The Fates We Tame is apart of an interconnected series, it meant there were subplots occurring along the way, on the side that included secondary characters in the form of Theoโ€™s family as well as his found family within the MC club and Sophiaโ€™s family too.
This led to entertainment given the lighthearted moments, as well as drama, mystery, action packed thrills considering their feuding with the Mafia of MC vs Cosa Nostra from the deeper and hard hitting moments. Ultimately adding to the already packed narrative.
Although it should be known despite all that going on, it never once took away the spotlight from Theo and Sophia.
Allowing them to always shine front and centre.

Unfortunately there was one issue that couldn't be ignored and that was the ending, which left me disappointed.
Not only did it slightly feel like a cliffhanger due to the questions that were left unanswered surrounding all that took place IMO. But considering how abruptly it ended and then jumped into an epilogue, it just did not sit right with me.
In all honesty, it wouldโ€™ve been nice to see a fully formed ending that wrapped everything up in regards to Theo, Sophia and their families, alongside the two addition epilogues that were included straight after.

With that said, author S. Cole still came through with an intensely emotional and impactful story that was the journey of Theo and Sophia in The Fates We Tame.
Ultimately making for quite a pleasurable reading experience.
Although itโ€™s bittersweet knowing the next book will be the finale to Iron Outlaws MC series, nonetheless still canโ€™t wait to read the final instalment that is Vex and Calista โ€˜Callieโ€™ Morayโ€™s story The Deals We Make.

4.5stars-THE FATES WE TAME is the eighth instalment in S. Coleโ€™s contemporary, adult IRON OUTLAWS MC dark erotic, MC romance series. This is thirty year old, MC medic Theo โ€˜Switch Reavis, and twenty-five year Mafia princess old Sophia Viscusoโ€™s story line. THE FATES WE TAME can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.

NOTE: Due to the nature of the story line premise, there may be triggers for more sensitive readers

Told from dual first person perspectives (Sophia and Switch) THE FATES WE TAME follows the building relationship between our story line couple. Sophia Viscuso is in recovery in the wake of a devastating car accident that left her scarred both inside and out. Meeting fellow patient and accident survivor Theo Reavis give Sophia pause as they both struggle with physical disabilities and ongoing amnesia in their accident fall-out. Theo aka Switch has lost ten years of his life, with no memory of what happened or why; and Sophia struggles with secrets and lies her family refuses to reveal but a conversation between Sophiaโ€™s brothers sends our heroine on the run wherein she and Switch jump into marriage to protect our story line heroine. What ensues is the building relationship between Switch and Sophia, and the potential fall-out as the power of the Cosa Nostra takes aim at the Iron Outlaws MC.

The world building follows several paths including the mutually and equal recovery of our story line couple. Sophia feels trapped in the rehab facility against her will, as Switch continues to struggle with ten missing years, and the physical disabilities that prevent him from moving on.As our couple begin to search for the truth, threats of a different nature reveal a dark side to living the life of a Mafia princess.

The relationship between Sophia and Theo begins in recovery. Neither one remembers their past, and in doing so, both hope to make memories going forward but danger will begin to descend upon our story line heroine, and Theo is desperate to protect the woman with whom he is falling in love. The $ex scenes are erotic and intense-Theo believes he is a bit of a masochist in bed.

There is a large ensemble cast of familiar secondary and supporting characters, most of whom we met in the previous instalments including several members of the Iron Outaws MC . We are introduced to Sophiaโ€™s brothers Alessio, Leo and Luca, as well as their father Vincenzo Viscuso. The requisite evil has many faces. Vexโ€™s story line is next.

THE FATES WE TAME is a story of secrets and lies, betrayal and vengeance, dysfunctional family values, desperation and obsession, acceptance and love. The character driven premise is intriguing, dark, dramatic and impassioned; the romance is insta-lust and passionate; the characters are headstrong and determined.

Scarlett really went and said, "Let's make some bitches choke up with this one."
Every. Single. Feeling. Was. Felt. Seriously, it's impossible not to get all up in your emotions as Spark and Sophia recover from their injuries.

I'm a huge fan of how Scarlett serves up such "real" characters. She gives us the messy, the broken, the downtrodden, and shows us that at the core, this is what real people are. Sure, I read to escape, and I love me some "picture-perfect" characters now and then, but honestly? Give me a real MMC/MFC any day.

I know I said Spark is my #1 Outlaw, but Switch might be giving him a run for his money (especially after that scene at church).

The Fates We Tame is book eight in the fantastic Iron Outlaws MC series by S.Cole. This time we have a fake relationship between Theo aka Switch and Sophia Viscuso, which leads to a marriage of convenience. These are two broken people who come together unexpectedly and find a way to heal. However, as the secrets and lies are revealed, loyalties are tested, plus there is family drama for her and danger from enemies for him.
By marrying Sophia does she gain her freedom while he loses his?

โ€œHatred stirs up strife, but love covers all sins.โ€

In The Souls We Claim, Switch saved Ari and Lolaโ€™s lives. He was seriously injured and wakes up with no memory of the last ten years. Halo calls him a hero but what has it cost him? King sends him to a rehab centre where he meets Sophia. She was in a car accident which left her covered in scars, wearing an eye patch and absolutely no memory. They end up helping each other recover from the accidents neither know the truth about. Can they find a way to live with their amnesia and other injuries. Theyโ€™ve more in common than they thought as both born into a life they canโ€™t remember. She is suspicious of her family and doesnโ€™t trust what they are telling her about her previous life. Things get complicated when Switch finds out her family are Sicilian Cosa Nostra and enemies of the Outlaws.

Switch hears her brothers plotting her future and their fatherโ€™s plan to marry her off. He take matters into his own hands and proposes so the arranged marriage canโ€™t go ahead. With the help of a couple of the Outlaws they escape but there are consequences to their marriage. When trouble comes calling, Switch realises heโ€™d die to protect his wife, itโ€™s not an act anymore and no-one will take his โ€˜Sparrowโ€ from him. Can he make her fall in love with him? Many of his brothers know about finding love where they shouldnโ€™t so hopefully the same is for him.

โ€œIโ€™ll be your constant. Iโ€™ll be your anchor. Iโ€™ll hold you in place until you figure out where you want to be. I promise.โ€

I really felt for him when he struggles for his words and doing things with his injured hand. I loved how he helps spark and couldnโ€™t get his head round how much Niro had changed.
Sophia was so brave and courageous, and it was great how she supported and stood up for him. I liked how they are so happy being married and there are some steamy scenes as they explore their sexual urges. Who knew Switch had a kinky side.

Amongst the angst there are some laugh out loud moments with the Outlaws. Niro is hilarious throughout the book and the old ladies really come into their own. It was great seeing all the couples doing so well and all their reactions to Switch and Sophia. A great teaser for Vex which links well with this story. Canโ€™t believe this series will be coming to an end as it has been so good.

S.Cole is back with the newest Iron Outlaws MC story and itโ€™s a book that will stay with you for a while after you read it. I loved Switch and Sophiaโ€™s story so much. Be ready for a book that will drag you through all the feels, make you cry, goofy grin, full on belly laugh and have your heart swell with happiness because itโ€™s a rollercoaster you wonโ€™t be able to put down once you start. I loved it, loved Sophia, loved Switch, loved everything about it.

I knew going into this book it was going to be an emotional read, and it 100% was. But all the feels is so worth it as we get to finally know Switch aka Theo and the woman who makes him fall almost harder than any of the previous Outlaws in Sophia.

Individually, these characters are amazing, they both have gone through a lot prior to the story starting and go through even more during the book as they both come back from traumatic brain injuries and other injuries that make them not the person they used to be and that journey is one that had me hooked. To see them come to terms with their new abilities and new normal was amazing. The author doesnโ€™t shy away from the realities of injuries and she unapologetically doesnโ€™t hide the truth that healing is hard.

Add in them falling for each other in unusual circumstances and this book is a page turner.

I donโ€™t even know where to start with Sophia. She is a wonderful character. Her resilience, spine and heart just made me love her from the get go and that didnโ€™t change right through the whole book.

Pair her with Switch, he was everything I didnโ€™t expect but absolutely needed. But his tough side matches his soft side and his love for Sophia, melted my heart. Not to mention heโ€™s another dirty talker, hoo-boy does he talk. That man knows how to use his mouth.

Even though this is the eighth book in the series, it truly feels like going back to reading about family. All the favourites are there and the family dynamic gets deeper and will have you feeling a pendulum of emotions.

I have to drop this line because it sums up the family vibe so well and itโ€™s Vex, whoโ€™s next to get his book and I canโ€™t wait even if it means the series is coming to an end.

โ€œFโ€ my life. Heโ€™s already given her a pet name,โ€ Vex says. โ€œIโ€™m surrounded by chicks and sparrows and duchesses and little ones.โ€

Oh I better mention the ending because you will absolutely love it. There is no better lead into the next book than this one, no itโ€™s not a cliffhanger, itโ€™s just wonderful. Thank you S.Cole for another amazing story.

I received a copy of this book for free and will be purchasing it on release day.

WOW!! The Fates We Tame is another exceptional read in this EPIC series.

The Iron Outlaws by S. Cole is the best MC series I have ever read! The Fates We Tame may be the eighth book in the series, but each and every one of these narratives has brought something completely different to its storyline. One of highlights of being so far into the series is that I absolutely adore witnessing the times that the brothers - and letโ€™s not forget their old ladies too โ€“ are together. Their banter always brings a smile to my face and the way they look after one another warms my heart. I love how well I know and understand them all. They may have a special connection with each other; however, I feel a notable connection to them too.

The Fates We Tame is Switch (Theo) and Sophiaโ€™s story, and after that ending in The Souls We Claim, I have been desperate to discover what happens next. I was hooked from the very first chapter. Their story brought out so many different emotions in me. I love that I'm laughing one minute and then getting all emotional the next! There's a seriousness to certain scenes and I absolutely loved how Ms. Cole added a lighter side to them without taking anything away from the situations that were being executed. Youโ€™ll quickly discover that Switch and Sophia are perfect for each other. I adore the way they explored together and supported one another. I was keeping everything crossed that they would find a way to have a future together.

I'm struggling not to talk about all the little things I adore about this particular narrative and series. There are so many and I'm hoping once my book friends have read The Fates We Tame, that we can chat and I can get it all out of my system. There'll be lots of "OMG, that scene was incredible" and "wasn't it amazing how ๐Ÿค ๐Ÿค ๐Ÿค was perfectly written and perfect for the storyline/series too". I know you readers understand what I mean.

As always, I am now left desperate for more!! The Deals We Make will be the ninth and final book in the Iron Outlaws MC series. Iโ€™ll be gutted once my time with the Outlaws is over. I never want this series to end!!

The Fates We Tame will be amongst my top reads of 2024 for certain. I highly recommend this book and series to you to read.

Scarlett Cole's bikers take on the Costa Nostra in The Fates We Tame for a wild ride and a HEA!

Theo "Switch" Reavis was born into the biker lifestyle and embraced it wholeheartedly. Trained as a medic his strong sense of loyalty was proven many times over to his club and ultimately to the woman who won his heart. Sophia "Sparrow" Viscuso was as smart as she was tenacious. It was easy to see how her authentic self captured Switch's heart. Both Switch and Sophia met in rehab recovering from multiple injuries but most significantly amnesia. As this couple grappled with lost time and memories their shared experience formed a bond that grew into love and a steadfast dedication to each other. Interesting exchanges with the secondary cast of this work built up a strong storyline.

Scarlett Cole's Iron Outlaws are not your typical one percenter MC, from their self awareness to their consideration of their love interest each new biker reveals a depth that not only surprises them but their audience! There were many witty exchanges in this work as the biker brothers tossed around Shakespeare quotes and had impromptu psychoanalysis sessions with each other but moving past that there was a dark undercurrent that showed itself when they slipped into their biker personas. This writer is very devoted to bringing meaningful portrayals and their accompanying issues and causes to her works for some introspective stories. If you are looking for an atypical biker romance series Scarlett Cole's Iron Outlaws fill the bill and The Fates We Tame adds another unique brother to her MC world!

*I was given an advanced copy. All opinions expressed are my own. *
*While part of a series this book can be read as a stand alone, but for an overall enhanced reading experience reading the previous books in this series is suggested.*

Oh my word this cover had me weak at the knees ๐Ÿ”ฅ

While Iโ€™ve not read the previous books I didnโ€™t feel lost , there was a reference though that sealed the deal for me , Iโ€™m going to start at the beginning, donโ€™t we also deserve a little treat ๐Ÿคช๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ“š

Switch and Sophie are in the same rehab centre to recover after really bad accidents , both suffer with amnesia but Sophie has lost all her memories whereas Switch only lost the last 10 years , look I feel sorry for both of them but it must feel awful not remembering your people , your life โ€ฆโ€ฆ

Now Sophie can feel something is off and she has questions about her family and with what she has researched I donโ€™t blame her ! Hello Iโ€™d also have questions if I read Iโ€™m part of the mafia , something feels off about the how and why she had her accident and it feels like family is hiding stuff โ€ฆ.

Switch is part a biker family , I call them family not gang because while they may have a their โ€œbadโ€ side theyโ€™re family in the way it matters most and theyโ€™re loyal , real and protect their own unlike Sophieโ€™s family with their sinister , selfish and vile ways โ€ฆ..

Sophie reached out to Switch on a level where he feels comfortable and helps him relax , friends with an instant spark Iโ€™d say , when Switch overhears get brothers talking , protective instincts kick in , the plot thickens very quickly though when Sophie herself overheard her brothers talking and fear kicks in , Switch assured her heโ€™ll keep her safe , so he marries her and makes her his โ€œold ladyโ€œ and that also means she had the protection of The Iron Outlaws !

I laughed , I cried , I chewed my nails to the bit and I loved the Shakespeare quotes ! Every moment spent with outlaws was a treat I think Iโ€™d patch in without blinking an eye ๐Ÿ”ฅโฃ๏ธ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜˜

If you read the previous one you know what happened to Switch and how S. Cole left us hanging wondering what the heck happened. It seem's unreal that here is Switch, after months away not knowing who he really is in his adventure to get his life back. The thing is that his case of amnesia is real and many people go through it due to a traumatizing accident and some do get their memory. S. Cole shows us everything from denial, depression and acceptance yet through everything Theo fights to get back what he lost. Here is a man who fought in the War, brought the Brotherhood down and now is fighting to get his life back is just wow. Seeing him go from strong man to a shell of what he used to be was tough yet in a way it was for a good reason. Knowing that Sophia is like him with no memory as well makes him feel well not alone but fighting to help her as well. Everything he knows seems so unreal yet in a way he believes it. The club is more than just brothers but a family he knows will always have his back. Someone is determined to take his Sophia away and seeing he has his own problems this doesn't stop him at all from helphing her. The chemistry is all there and it is a connections that to some might seem strange but to them feels like destiny on their side. This is one biker club you don't want to miss because when one needs help they all band together in a way you don't see often. On the outside they may seem tough, broody, mean but in the inside and to the women they love they are 100% all there for them. Loved it and still one more biker to go excited to see how S. Cole will do him and his story.

Du coup j'ai eu du mal ร  m'accrocher parfois car le dรฉbut est lent, mรชme si c'est cohรฉrent avec le scรฉnario. I recently finished The Fates We Tame, and it was quite the ride! This eighth installment in the Iron Outlaws MC series had me hooked from the start. The blend of romance, suspense, and drama made for an engaging read that kept me turning the pages.

One of the standout aspects for me was the character development. The protagonist's struggle with amnesia added a layer of depth to the story, making her journey all the more relatable. I found myself rooting for her as she navigated her complex relationships, and the chemistry between the leads was electric. Cole really knows how to create that tension that pulls you in!

The plot, centered around a fake marriage and the intense rivalry between motorcycle clubs and the Cosa Nostra, was intriguing. I appreciated the twists and turns that kept me guessing. However, I did notice that some tropes, like the fake marriage and amnesia, felt a bit familiar. While they worked well in this context, I could see how they might come across as overused for some readers.

There were moments where the pacing slowed down, which took me out of the gripping tension the story built up. I found myself wishing for a bit more momentum in those sections, but overall, it didnโ€™t detract too much from my enjoyment.

In the end, The Fates We Tame is a solid read that delivers a satisfying mix of romance and suspense. I loved the emotional stakes and the well-crafted characters. Iโ€™d definitely recommend it to fans of contemporary romance and motorcycle club sagas. Iโ€™m giving it a four-star rating because it was enjoyable, but I feel thereโ€™s a little room for improvement. Iโ€™m looking forward to seeing what S. Cole has in store next!

***5 Stars***

Such a great addition to the series! I loved Sophia and Switchโ€™s aka Theoโ€™s journey. It was both heartbreaking and heartwarming in equal measure and while chaos always finds its way to the Iron Outlaws door, there were a whole bunch of laugh out loud moments as well.

I freakinโ€™ adored Switch and Sophia. Both of them are going through so much and yet they fight to figure out how to live in this new norm they were thrust into. They are determined and real and even when they face setbacks, they push harder. Their journey to their HEA was, even with the rough patches, was a lot of fun to experience. They both follow their guts and their hearts and find that they just fit. They had a great flow and while they may have done things a bit backward, it truly brought them closer and I just loved them together.

This was a great read. It was interesting to learn about the various forms of amnesia and how differently it can affect people and actually had me wanting to do a deep dive into the subject. I havenโ€™t, but the interest is there. There are triggers ~ so reader beware ~ and there were a couple of twists I wasnโ€™t expecting, but I am crossing my toes it will be dealt with in the next book. But, as always, I loved catching up with and hanging out with the Iron Outlaw crew. Niro and Cat are still my favs, though Switch and Sophia are now a close second, but seeing how all of the relationships have evolved was a lot of funโ€ฆbut now to wait for Vex and finally find out all about him!

This book right here is why S Cole has become an instant one click for me. All the others in this series are impressive, beautifully written and will take you on the ride of your life. But this book. This book will knock you flat out because she did her research. She made an unlikely trope relatable. She did not rush anything; she did not glance over the details โ€“ she got it right. Topping that with her exceptional writing, I was blown away.

You get to delve into Switchโ€™s background and meet his parents, who are the exception to the rule for an MC couple. You also see how the Iron Outlaws come together to support a brother in need. Their friendship and brotherhood prove to be a tight bond, but it is tested. Now, add in the Cosa Nostra via Sophia to the mix and you get an entirely new set of problems that might change the trajectory of the club.

There is a lot going on in this book. I cannot say it enough.

Switch and Sophia are amazing together. They understand each other in a way that no one else could. As they deal with the effects of their accidents, as well as the threat to Sophia and the club, they begin to fall in love. The journey they take is like no other and you will feel it down to your core.

I loved this book entirely. Theo and Sophia will be with me forever.

The Fates We Tame is book eight in the Iron Outlaws MC Series. This is a grumpy/sunshine, fake marriage romance with a bit ofย masochism mixed in. This story focused on Switch andย Sophia with their journey starting in not the best circumstances, but I'd call it a unique meet cute

Switch is the club medic. He's always been level headed and the sounding board of the group. He's naturally fierce, loyal, and protective. It's his instinct through and through. And he had some swoon moments for sure.

Sophia is brave, courageous, and a survivor. She has been through a lot of pain and trauma, but she has never let it keep her down. She's a strong fighter. I enjoyed her growth as an individual and how she was amusing yet fierce.

The storyline was angsty, violent, spicey, with plot twists, and so much more! You feel their chemistry from early on and cheer on the bond they create. I really loved the girl gang that's formed with the old ladies. These girls are taking over the club, ha ha!ย  They definitely showed the guys who really rules the roost ๐Ÿ˜. I would have liked to see a little more interaction with Sophia's family and with Swicthes parents. And I'm dying to know what is going to happen with my Irishman!!

This is another great book in the Iron Outlaws MC universe. Picking up from the cliffhanger of book 7, this story features Theo aka Swift, who lost the last decade or so of memories after the events in book 7. He meets Sophia, who woke up without any memories after a horrible car accident. They meet each other where they are now, without any assumptions based on their pasts.

Typically a marriage of convenience trope includes some degree of power imbalance where one party is gaining more than the other. This book felt like a refreshing approach to the trope and in my opinion, really worked well! Switch and Sophia have a lot of physical trauma to overcome with their medical histories, but at what point should they stop focusing on who they were before and instead focus on who they want to be in the future?

With so many questions about their pasts, they seek the answers together, and in the process discover so much more than either of them ever expected.

You could technically read this as a standalone but I highly recommend starting at book one in the series to get the most out of it. But I started the series on book 7, then read 1-6, then 8 so it can be read on some own but it would spoil some things for books 1-7 if you start with 8. I loved book 7 and it hooked me on the series!

Loved Sophia and Switch! I could feel their frustration as they navigated through their amnesia and I loved how Switch was able to see the beauty in Sophia.

Sophia crashed at a high speed, driving a car that wasn't hers. When she woke up in the hospital, she had a ton of injuries and no memories at all. She's a shell of her former self. She can't remember the names of her family members, she doesn't recognize her apartment but she's trying to make the most of this second chance.
Which is why she's determined to make friends with the grumpy biker, who is also at the rehabilitation center.
When her family starts pushing her to leave the country with them, she begins to wonder if they might be the reason she was in the accident in the first place.

Saving the life of a brother is something he'd do again in a heartbeat. Even though he can't remember anything that's happened in the last ten years. He finds very little joy in life as he tries to build his strength back up. But Sophia brings light to his life and he looks forward to seeing her every day. When he overhears her brothers talking about getting her out of the country, he plans to stay out of it but he also feels the need to protect her.

So he marries her.

Thanks so much to the author and Wildfire Marketing for this ARC to review.

Second book in the Iron Outlaws MC series that I have eaten right up. Scarlett has brought another great story to the pages. I absolutely love the way she writes and tells a story. It has you gripped from the beginning turning every single page until the end. I literally read this in one setting I had to know what was going to happen to Sophia and Switch. She did not disappoint at all. It was everything and so much more.
The Fates we Tame is another great read in this series. Scarlett has written one amazing series about yummy bikers and the woman they fall for. This is the second book that I have read from this series and once again have fallen in love with the characters completely.
The Fates We Tame is Switch (Theo) and Sophiaโ€™s story, and after the very shocking ending I read from the previous book. I just had to discover what happens next. This book did not disappoint at all.
Switch and Sophia are both dealing with an injury. An injury that has completely changed their lives. But they are dealing with it the very best that they can. Along the way Switch learns something about Sophia and will do whatever it takes to help her and keep her safe. But will his brothers agree, and will it be enough?
This was a page turning mind blowing exciting book. It was inspiring and touching. I absolutely loved the chemistry between Switch and Sophia and how they are with each other. S.Cole has written a book with two amazing characters that are going to stick with me. This is a book that I highly recommend reading.

If you thought the previous seven books in the Iron Law MC series were mind-blowing, get ready to have your world turned upside down. *The Fates We Tame* by S. Cole is a game-changer, taking you to an entirely new level of emotional intensity. This book is raw, gut-wrenching, and utterly unforgettable.

In a twist of fate, Switch and Sophie both end up at the same rehabilitation center, each suffering from amnesia. What starts as two lost souls leaning on each other for strength quickly spirals into something much deeper. But when danger threatens Sophie, they find themselves in a fake marriage that soon becomes all too real. The tension only escalates as Sophieโ€™s Sicilian family brings a new wave of peril, not just for her, but for the entire club.

S Coleโ€™s storytelling is fast-paced, and the suspense will have you on the edge of your seat. Yet, amidst the chaos, there are moments of pure joyโ€”especially the hilarious biker chat thread where these rough-and-tough guys exchange surprisingly great date night ideas. Itโ€™s a rollercoaster of emotions from start to finish.

So, buckle up and get ready for a wild ride. *The Fates We Tame* will leave you breathless, proving once again that S. Cole is the undisputed queen of MC romances.
